Very disappointed with my experience with Lowe's. The refrigerator provided to my apartment malfunctioned and stopped keeping food cold, which caused me to lose a significant amount of groceries and prepared meals. While they did replace the refrigerator, they refused to take any responsibility for the food loss caused by their defective appliance. I understand policies, but when a product failure directly impacts a customer, there should be some level of accountability or goodwill. Customer service felt dismissive, and no effort was made to help beyond the basic replacement. I expected better from a company like Lowe's. read more

Last time I needed paint, 5 people in line and just 1 very slow worker in paint department. At the same time they had like 6 employees at the checkout doing nothing. I needed help to kill & keep spiders away outside my home. There are many options. Dustin suggested "Stay Away Spiders" which is extremely effective. Dustin (Manager) is knowledgeable & interacts with many customers. New policy gives you only 48 hours to return appliances if they're not working or you have to deal with the factory. Additionally, Lowe's keeps trying to send damaged appliances repeatedly, instead of new in the box. Between the third party shipper and Lowe's, there is no communication, computer glitches and you've got about a 50/50 chance of them actually keeping their delivery schedule. I have many rental units and I'm constantly buying appliances. For decades Lowe's has been the go-to for most all of those appliances until now. This latest order was over $7,800 worth of mostly appliances, fencing materials and other items for a one-bedroom unit remodel. First of all, their delivery system is so inaccurate I paid employees to be there at the job site to receive materials 7 times. They were no-shows, they gave me Windows of morning but then would show up in the afternoon or vice versa. They're scheduling system doesn't mean anything including what to expect in the delivery. Additionally, three times defective washers were delivered. Dented, banged up and clearly they are trying to get rid of their blemished items by sending them out for delivery. I wouldn't mind a blemish if I got a significant discount and could prove it works, but you only have 48 hours to test an item and get it returned to them or you have to deal with the factory. Chances are somebody returned it because it didn't work and it got dented and the transport or or at the warehouse at the warehouse. Not worth a 10% discount for them having to deal with a factory on of faulty item. I was promised over and over by a human that they would intervene and make things right. This never happened. Maesek, the third party shipper, and Lowe's do not communicate. Finally, when you do get your palette of goods, you can't open it up and do an inventory. The third party delivery person will not wait around. Twice we were shorted items. Each time the store corrected it however it kept showing up as delivered. So when they sent them back out for delivery, it would get canceled in the system. Lowe's has gone from A+ service to D minus. Switching to Costco. read more

I'm usually very liberal with my five star reviews, but this is THE WORST customer service and quality control I've ever had or experienced. Did an online order for pickup and every single item was damaged. When we told the people working the register they shrugged and told us we'd need to get it ourselves. Not to mention our pickup order was delayed for hours, come to the store and they're all standing around talking to each other. We went to the back to pick up our shelves, metal brackets, etc. and it was like a needle in a haystack finding anything that wasn't damaged with massive paint chips and bent or broken wood. After what they did to me I purchased 8 new commercial stackable dryers and 5 Single Commercial dryers paid for it to be installed and hauled away the old one and install the new one. Worst experience. We went to get a refund for an artificial christmas tree that was never delivered (after 12 days). The store manager "ERIC" told us that he couldn't do anything because we didn't buy it from his store, and that the online Website Lowes.com is "not the same as the actual store." I came in with full professional intent, hoping to build a long-term supplier relationship. What I encountered instead was one of the most toxic, dysfunctional, and unprofessional retail environments in the industry. The so-called "Pro" department is an embarrassment. Staff consistently act with arrogance, indifference, and hostility toward contractors. One of the most disturbing incidents involved employees at the builder desk mocking me in a foreign language in front of my subcontractor--unaware that I understood everything. I documented the incident and escalated it to store management and corporate. No action was taken. None. Instead of correcting the situation, my account was reassigned to another associate who intentionally delayed and obstructed my orders. This was not incompetence--it was sabotage. At that point, I shifted over $250,000 in annual material orders to other vendors. Not because I wanted to--but because Lowe's made it impossible to do business professionally. Months later, I was invited back by a decent employee who promised better service. While he was there, I was treated with respect. The moment he wasn't present, the dysfunction returned. Orders were mishandled, support was nonexistent, and when I asked store manager Lisa for assistance, her response was dismissive, confrontational, and unprofessional. She even implied I should take my business elsewhere if I didn't like it. That's how Lowe's trains its store leadership? The general manager, Mike, has clearly lost control of this location. The staff are untrained, unaccountable, and openly hostile to professionals who bring real money into the business. The customer experience here is beyond repair. Lowe's made a mistake on a delivery they separated it into 2 a delivery and a pick up because of a delay on their end. Their customer service department is not existent. They apologize for the problem but don't consider their error and but don't have anything to offer other than a date that doesn't work for you. There is no escalation path and when they tell you no one in customer service can help you - they mean it. Supervisors are detached and provide less customer service than the front line personnel and managers do not take phone calls. I will never buy an appliance again at Lowes. I went in last week and purchased a dishwasher. I had my specifications and the salesperson told me that they are all a standard size. I asked her to check and she reiterated that they were standard size. I purchased the dishwasher - it was delivered this week. The installer was unable to install it because the water valve was frozen. He left the dishwasher and today I a plumber come to change the valve. Bottom line - the dishwasher is too big, in addition Lowes provided a cable that was for a washing machine and not a dishwasher. Horrible experience. read more

The service at this location is beyond terrible. I came to get assistance with a particular light bulb for my refrigerator. I asked for help and waited over 15 minutes. The associate decided to help two other customers who arrived after I did. I spoke up about it and the other associates just stood there and continued with their conversation amongst each other. I tried calling the store to complain and I was again placed on hold for over 20 minutes. The store isn't even that busy to have your customers to be treated as such. After I purchased the washer in-store, I also bought it with the installation service to remove my old washer and install the new one. I conveyed to the sales associate with pictures that it was a stackable washer and dryer in a tight space. After looking at my photos, the sales associate confirmed they could install the new washer. The next day, the installation day, the installer arrived and saw that it was a stackable washer and dryer. Then, he tells me they don't perform installation services for existing washers and dryers that are already stacked due to liability concerns. Therefore, they couldn't install it. Why do I find this out now, after telling the sales associate the situation with pictures and having the sales associate confirm it?!?! When the installer left without installing my washing machine, I called Lowe's customer service to cancel my order yesterday (Sunday). After telling the to cancel my order I received oral confirmation that the order had been canceled. Today (Monday), I get text messages and an email from Lowe's telling me the order is on its way for delivery. I responded to the text messages saying that the order had been canceled, but I didn't get a response. Then, I called customer service again to make sure the order had been canceled. The customer service agent then apologized and told me the order had not been canceled. I asked him to cancel the order again and said to me that when the delivery people show up to reject the item when it arrives, the fulfillment center will then send out a notification that it has been canceled. I told him I didn't trust that my order would be canceled because I was told yesterday that it was when it wasn't. I asked if you could send me a confirmation email confirming that it was canceled. After placing me on hold for 5 minutes, he returned to the phone to tell me his supervisor said, "We cannot send you a confirmation email." This experience has been horrible, and as a previous customer who has purchased appliances from Lowe's, the lack of communication between the sales team at the store and the installation services is non-existent, which created more problems for me and, I assume, many of your other former customers. GE Rebate rip-off. Alicia Luna was my sales person. She offered to help me get a GE $279 rebate which I appreciated. She said to call her Monday. I have called six (6) times this week. The rebate requires the serial number of the stove i am replacing. If i had known this, i would have captured it before the unit was taken away by the Lowes installer. Every time I called her I left a message with an appliance department employee who promised Alicia would call me back. I wouldn't recommend shopping here, or applying here for work. I normally shop at Lowe's and have had good experiences elsewhere however never shopped here before. I recently applied to work here and was interviewed by SONIA BARAJAS, I drove 25 minutes to arrive 15 minutes early to my scheduled appointment for her to be rude when seeing me and telling me step in to my office this is be over quick, she had me take a seat and didn't even take a chance to get to know me instead it felt like she judging me something telling me in this job you can't wear baggy clothes, you can't wear caps side ways, you can't come her to make friends and then asking are you okay with all this. Remind you I came dressed professionally and showed no indication to any of that. Didn't ask my work experience nothing asked me 2 questions and said okay thank you, if chosen you'll get an email have a good night. I left filling discriminated and my time under valued. Usually people are nice in here but there is a lot of misinformation and I have had several experiences here where an employee didn't know about products or where I could find out about specific products. I have also had experiences where an employee has told me something I know is not the case but they have been very adamant that they were right. Please do not purchase a major appliance from Lowes (Refrigerator). There policy is no returns after 48 hours. You spend hundred and hundreds of dollars on an appliance and they expect you to know in just 2 days if there is a problem with said appliance.. How can you tell if there is something wrong with an appliance in 2 days? Also, check the extended warranty carefully. We bought a Whirlpool refrigerator which has such a loud humming sound that we have to close doors to watch TV and sleep. We had a technician come out. Stood there and said "that's the way it is". He did not move the refrigerator or check anything to see if there was a problem. After 2 weeks we called again and they said this visit will cost you $125.00. Buy from BEST BUY they have the same appliances with a better return policy. If others are having this issue it would be great to have a CLASS ACTION LAW S. started. read more

I have read about Lowe's terrible third party delivery experiences, so I was expecting the worst for the good deal we were getting on a new appliance. Simply put, their internal system seemed disorganized for special orders. We ordered a Samsung appliance back in November (lol), it was delayed until April (Samsung issue plus the product was discontinued), it was sent to this mid-city location when it was finally manufactured and shipped but every staff had a hard time finding our order in their system. It's not the staff's fault, but a Lowe's problem. I give this location 5 stars because every staff we had spoken to about our order made great effort to find the order, followed up with a call when they found more information on the order even though we never asked them to investigate, and generally the customer service experience was excellent. We encountered a payment issue right before delivery, which was delayed twice already, and the Lowe's online system wouldn't even let us update the payment so we were at a stalemate. One of the managers here, Ms. D (I didn't want to butcher her spelling!!) used her problem-solving skills and made the payment and delivery happen for us the next day. THANK YOU!! I was bracing for a terrible delivery experience (so much bad press about it AND we were in one of the largest urban locations in the US), but our delivery guys were super pleasant and excellent as well. I have never seen two people carry an enormous refrigerator up and down the stairs with such ease. We had good small talk too. A huge THANK YOU to the delivery guys :) All in all, would we order from Lowe's again? I'm not sure because they don't have a good internal system, and delivery experiences shouldn't be a hit or miss. Would we visit this location again?
