I'm looking around sitting on some couches , another employee approaches me to let me know they'd be closing in a few minutes, mind you he already saw the First Lady talk to me, and it's still 8:40, like dang can I look around!? didn't even suggest anything or talk about anything else besides closing time. Do NOT purchase furniture from Living Spaces! I can not stress this enough. I have had issues with each order I've made with them, including poor customer care, delivery errors, and inaccurate information, but the latest incident is the most egregious. I moved across the country a few years ago and needed to furnish an entire apartment. I was relieved to find Living Spaces as a reasonably priced furniture manufacturer. I purchased a dining table and chairs in September 2022. It is now March 2026, just 3.5 years later, and the table literally fell apart while I was sitting at it, presenting on a work call. I live alone, have no kids or pets, and am the only person who regularly sits at this table. This is in no way normal wear and tear. It is a structural failure of load-bearing parts that occurred during ordinary use, indicating a defect in materials and/or workmanship. It is not a reasonable product outcome for a dining table to collapse after just three years. It also created a safety hazard, exposing nails and rough wood, plus the danger of a heavy glass table top falling on my lap after its support structure collapsed. I reached out to Living Spaces to resolve this dispute directly, including going to my local showroom in-person with the defective table stand, which now sits in three separate, broken pieces. Each person I spoke to repeated the same scripted line, "There is nothing we can do." I was told the product is past its one-year warranty, and I should have purchased the extended five-year warranty if I expected a repair or replacement should it suddenly collapse on top of me. I would understand if I did something to the table, or there was normal wear and tear, but this was a clear manufacturing issue, and Living Spaces refuses to accept accountability for their poor quality. Another customer in the store asked if I was okay, which was nice to hear, as not a single one of the at least three people I spoke to extended even that small courtesy to me. I have never experienced anything like this, even with cheap IKEA or other Big Box Store pieces. I have a cheap dresser that has lasted over a decade and 3 moves, including one cross-country, but this stationary table that has never been moved from its original position crumbled, on top of me, after three years of simply existing. And the best solution I was offered was being told it's my fault I didn't pay them extra for them to help me when that happened. We are at the point where companies are mad they have to actually go through us consumers to get our money. Living Spaces is exactly that type of brand. Do NOT purchase furniture from these people. Living Spaces is happy to take your money but when it comes to issues after delivery, theres no direct phone line to the store to chat about furniture defects etc. I purchased a couch that has cushions so stuffed and firm (Ruby) that you can hardly sit without falling over. The stuffing in the new couch is NOT the same stuffing on the couch in the store. I'm told by employees that LS will not replace the cushions as it's just a matter of breaking in the couch cushions. Total paid: $2,451.82 (furniture $2,195+tax+$39 delivery) No piece‑by‑piece dimensions were provided on the invoice or in‑store. No disclosure of the "if it doesn't fit, you owe 25%" rule. Mr.Skeen assured me it would fit our stairwell and never mentioned any penalty. The main invoice page shows price, tax, and delivery,but no restocking for no-fit language at all. Don't ever purchase furniture with living spaces. I purchased a couch and loveseat. Spent around 3,500. I also purchased the care free warranty to cover for accidental damage. Ive had two accidents and not one of them was covered because they said it was normal wear and tear. Broken wood from an accident isn't normal wear and tear and ripped fabric isn't normal wear and tear. Furniture is made cheaply. I regret giving them my business and will let anyone considering to avoid their business. I went to the store and they even said I should've been covered but it's nothing they can do because it's the warranty company. They won't even refund me the money for the warranty. Brand new bed broke after a few months in July/Aug. The warranty replacement never arrived. Had to call back in late October asking what is going on with the bed frame they were going to fix? They never reached out to me for months hoping I would disapear i guess. Well they finally told me the bed was no longer in production due to defective engineering. So they offered a new bed frame which took nearly another few months to get to me. When they arrived, they told me that the bed that's broken needs to be removed.However, the representatives of living spaces told me that the bed frame would be removed by the people.Installing the new bed and that they would dispose of it.So they lied to me.And I had to figure out how to cut this up with a saw, because I didn't put the bed together.I paid for the bed to be assembled.So I don't have the tools to disassemble it.And I had to basically cut this whole thing up rushing to get it out of my house, and to have no way of disposing it. This company lied, and then they tried to claim that they had some sort of disclaimer that says that upon delivery, the bed needs to be removed.But their representatives on multiple occasions over the past several months told me that the bed would be removed by them.So they lied to me.And then last minute they're telling me that I need to figure out what to do with the broken bed, even though they're the ones that installed it, they used their tools.And they're the ones that brought it here.So they need to take it back and they refuse to take it back. Living Spaces boasts multiple financing options, yet they have their trainees on the floor dealing with customers unsupervised and only promote one -- the credit card. And what's more, they don't advertise it as a credit card and will open a line of credit without properly explaining it to you! We tried to contact the store and even spoke with corporate (which is how we found out that the store credit card wasn't the only option we had available) and everyone was unhelpful and even antagonistic. Since I didn't notice within the first 7 days, I had to go through the warranty department, which meant multiple service visits to my home before they finally agreed to replace it. Then came the real frustration--Living Spaces told me I was responsible for disposing of the damaged couch myself, despite it being hundreds of pounds. For a company of this size, that's completely unacceptable. Their pre-sale customer service is excellent, but once they've made the sale, you're on your own. Traumatic experience with delivery/customer service, will NEVER shop here again. We spent A LOT of money (at least to us, after saving for months and months, but apparently not enough for Living Spaces to care) on a couch and picked the option of having it delivered inside our apartment. We even checked with the sales person how the process would work. At no point did the sales person provide information about the size of the delivery box that the couch would come in, nor did he tell us that under our chosen delivery option, if the delivery team decides that the box doesn't fit the main building stairwell, THEY WILL JUST LEAVE THE BOX IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. Fast forward to delivery day, when the box doesn't fit our stairwell. We call customer service, the first person had no idea about anything (even admitted to us that there is no actual phone number for their delivery department), so we had to escalate to a manager, who then proceeded to offer NO SOLUTIONS AT ALL, instead blaming us, the customers, and eventually cutting us off and forcing the delivery team to take the couch back (to which we never agreed, but she gave us no option), and now attempting to force us to pay a 10% re-stocking fee. At this point we feel insulted as well as scammed, since Living Spaces still has our money. BOTTOM LINE: they will tell you anything to make a sale, but after that, Living Spaces will turn hostile on their own customers. Avoid like the plague! read more

I chose the option of delivery where they leave your delivery outside of your door so that you did not need to be home. The delivery decided not to leave my furniture outside of my door because my apartment unit is P 74, however, on their list it's at PH 74. Though I completely understand why they would do this to be sure that they don't leave the furniture at the wrong apartment when I called to talk to someone about it. The man who helped me told me that there would be a rescheduling delivery fee. When I told him of my situation, of how I chose the outside delivery on purpose so that it would be free because I am a victim of the Palisade fires, and I lost everything and I asked if it would be possible if they can waive the rescheduling fee , he said that they are not able to do that. When I asked if I can speak to the manager, he gave me a very rude undertone that that was not going to be possible for the next 24 to 48 hours. By this time, I was frustrated, crying, because of being disheveled of everything that had happened to me in the past couple weeks of losing my home in the fires. When I try to ask him to explain again what I needed to do in order to receive Free delivery by talking to a manager, again he was rude. I can tell you this, I will never ever deal with this place again. First of all, you can't even talk to anyone at the store that you bought it from. It goes to some operator. I purchased a couch for my office, and it was delivered today; however, it wouldn't fit through the door due to the low ceiling in the hallway. Consequently, the delivery team had to take the couch back. I returned to the store to choose a slightly smaller couch, but all the other options I liked were slightly cheaper. The store manager Blanca informed me that if I opted for a couch that costs less, I would need to pay a 10% restocking fee for the original couch. Since all the other couches I liked were a little cheaper, I expressed that I wasn't willing to pay the restocking fee on principle. I made it clear that if they were going to charge me a restocking fee, I would not purchase another couch, and instead, I would just pay the restocking fee. The store manager Blanca told me there was nothing she could do, indicating that she would rather lose me as a customer than waive the restocking fee. Unbelievable!!! It seems illogical to me that they would prioritize taking $80 over making a $700 sale. I don't understand this approach. It's like asking someone whether they would prefer to receive $80 or $700 and choosing the lower amount instead, ultimately resulting in a loss of a customer for good. UPDATE - 9/24/24 - i would still give them a zero if i could We have now had the couch for just over a hear (received in Aug of 2023) and it is literally falling apart at the seams. There are two large rips in the main seams of both of the bottom loveseat cushions. No problem b/c we paid for a warranty - WRONG! We placed a claim, they sent a technician who told my husband and i in person at our apt that he was going to suggest they replace multiple pieces of the couch. We are now being told that he did not submit any replacements and none of the rips are covered by the warranty. What the heck is covered on the warranty if seams ripping on a couch is not one of them? Huge disappointment and beyond frustrating that we are having to deal with claims and couch issues for the SECOND TIME in one year!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! read more

It is only when I purchase my own couches that they are delivered with two very obvious stains that I pointed out to the delivery team. They said they reported them and I called for a discount and customer service said no stains were reported and "see no damages on the couches."
