Unfortunately, we still feel that the product and support we have received doesn't really match the price. This company is owned by La-Z-Boy now and it shows in all the worst ways. Ultimately, the hassle with my damaged car became too much during a stressful time. This driver (may have) caused cosmetic damage that would need over ~$1,000 in professional repairs. Regarding the couch, it really isn't holding up well even though pets don't use it, we are considered light weight people, and we do our best to keep it nice. The pullout bed mechanism was either installed wrong, or there is a flaw that makes folding it back in feel pretty dangerous. So that feature (which was the whole reason we bought it) is basically unusable. With that mechanism being suspicious, we can't even give this thing away for free. If you want an expensive, cheap couch... shop at Joybird. The people at headquarters were helpful to an extent, but couldn't really help all that much. The in-store team is awesome, but can't really help with the issues going on. read more

We bought a sofa with home delivery, but when the time came, the driver refused to bring his very large truck on our tight street. (We have never had this problem before, truck drivers know how to drive, usually.) We had asked for a smaller truck and they say they only have one size. They said we needed to move it ourselves up our street, and didn't budge. No accommodation for the high price of delivery, either. We finally cancelled and got a full refund but only after huge number of calls. The store manager was great but he kept referring us to corporate customer service and they were horrible. Delivery service (which I now understand is through LazyBoy) is awful. It ruins the good sales experience I had at Joybird. You can't escalate issues to a delivery manager for 1-2 days, even when you have an urgent question/problem. I was communicated throughout the process (of build, shipping, and delivery). Once I scheduled the delivery, they phoned me 15mins prior to arrival. I was able to request that they wear booties and a mask, which they were receptive to. They were careful in bringing each piece into my house and setting it up. They were also patient while I rearranged my rug to the new dimensions of the daybed vs my old couch. PRICE: With inflation, price on everything has gone up! So take advantage of Joybird's sales when they have them!! It's the best time to purchase from them! Michael was a tremendous help all throughout my couch-buying process. When I first walked in, I didn't know what I wanted, but Michael helped narrow down my options to fit my needs. I went with the Sebastian sofa in the faithful olive and when I received it, it was as gorgeous as I imagined it. Unfortunately, it didn't fit in the quirky layout of my old apartment building. I thought I was out of luck, as Joybird's refund policy for custom pieces is 50% for no-fit scenarios. Thankfully, I called Michael and he helped get me squared away. He was able to organize a return and repurchase for me for a modular version of the same couch. This review update is based solely off the furniture purchased. Our experience at the joybird storefront was amazing. The furniture: we bought the Wilder sectional & the Amelia grand chair in Crave Irish cream. The couch is sooooo uncomfortable which was surprising because the one we sat on was very comfortable. It's almost like they used different stuffing for the one we received. The fabric is lovely but you cannot get comfortable no matter what you do. The chair is also very cute but not comfortable. And for $4,100 and $2,100 for both pieces I would expect MUCH more. The quality is average and in my opinion not worth it. We have since bought a new couch that is larger, much comfier and half the price. Sorry Joybird your furniture is not worth the hype :( read more

Turns out, not all furniture shopping has to feel like a painful blind date, aka when you think you find the perfect match (of a couch) only to see everything person and realize it it's a dud? That's the opposite of my experience here. This location is the absolute gold standard. You get to sit on, feel, and experience their couches like a civilized human being instead of taking some gamble on whether "soft gray" is actually soft or gray. There's a lot of debate on if these couches are worth it for the price. Imo the design and lack of anguish I'd say yes --- plus they always have sales going on. The staff? Amazing. Spenser, in particular, deserves an award for putting up with all my questions and indecision without so much as an eye roll. They're basically a couch concierge, guiding you to find the perfect fit without any salesy nonsense. Tldr, Joybird is doing everything right. Other companies? Take notes. One of the most frustrating retail experiences we've had. After two failed deliveries, we were pushed into a third couch that barely fit and is incredibly uncomfortable. In the showroom, only the full-size version was available. We had to settle on the petite size and were told it would feel the same. Later--after we asked for a refund--Joybird claimed we had tried the petite model, which is flat-out untrue. Despite doing everything in good faith, Joybird refused to waive or reduce the 50% restocking fee ($1,600). We received no real support, just canned replies and policy recitations. We're now stuck with a $3,200 couch we never wanted and can't use. Wise before buying from Joybird, especially if your entryway space is tight or you might need flexibility. read more

Well, after three years....I am giving a full review of two sofas I purchased in late 2019 (December). Both sofas were completely different but we got the same PET friendly fabric on both. One for our den with a moveable chaise(ottoman) that can be flipped from right or left side of sofa and one for our living room that was more formal. Both sofas had very hard foam and the longer you sat on them the more sore your back, bottom and legs became! The quality craftsmanship of both sofas were also not good. The more formal sofa had a stretcher bar and legs and looked great in the round. All the cushion were misshapened on the corners and loads of loose strings that continued to pop out from everywhere! We just Gave away the sofa in the den. We are holding onto the more formal of the two as it will have to be used until we can find two more appropriate and comfortable sofas. I would NOT suggest buying from Joybird. Just not quality or comfort! read more

My wife and I have now had two great experiences with Joybird. The first was for an order placed late October 2022 for an Elliot sofa that was delivered in early January 2023. The sales and delivery teams were great. Our dog, Chester, came along when we went to the store on Melrose, and was welcomed inside. We then returned to Joybird a couple of months back to look for another sofa when we decided to redecorate our den. Our salesperson, Riyah, was gracious and very helpful. The upholstery fabric was backordered for a few months, so we expected to wait a little longer for delivery..., but the good news is that it was delivered over a month earlier than we expected. In both cases, we went shopping during holiday sales events, and that was also really worthwhile. We can definitely recommend Joybird -- plenty of selection, helpful salespeople, courteous and responsible delivery..., and great furniture. read more

Previously gave Joybird 3 stars but after frustrating communication with customer service I would say I'm very disappointed. I purchased the Ackley Dresser in Sept 5. Delivery scheduled for October 12. When the dresser arrived it was damaged. It was still a functional piece of furniture, but when you are paying $1300 for a dresser it better be in perfect condition. I was told by the delivery company JBHunt I would be contacted by Joybird. I would assume 2-3 days would be sufficient for Joybird to say "hey, we heard your delivery didn't go well, let's make it right". No word from them. For the amount of money furniture cost at Joybird they should be provoding exceptial service. I feel like it's seriously lacking. Anyway I was informed that the delivery company needs to send Joybird photos before a new one is sent out. Like "why". All the confirmation that needs to occur is "customer received damaged goods, didn't accept delivery, needs replacement asap". There needs to be faster turnover. If the excuse it, "that's policy", then change the policy. I don't see why Joybird has to wait to confirm there is damage before a replacement is sent out. I don't have the item, period. Send a new one. Y'all have my money, get me my item in undamaged condition. Easy. I then ask for a refund of the item. Same response, Joybird needs to confirm from delivery company that the item is damaged and that could take 5-7 days.............How long does it take for a photo to be taken and to be told "item damaged". A text, a call, that's all that is needed. I am just very annoyed. I did purchase the Bryant U sofa and love it. But how can I recommend this company when they're treating their customers like garbage. I will say in comparison, I ordered a media stand from CB2 around the same time. The morning of delivery, CB2 calls me and says "hey we have your media stand ready to be delivered, but it's not in good condition, we need to get a new one. We will call you later to reschedule" I was not happy but you know what, CB2 called me later that day to reschedule the delivery of the new item!!! Wow, now that's exceptial service. We stayed at an Airbnb that had a Joybird sofa, and we were impressed with the quality. So, I ordered a box of swatches and decided there were lots of fabric options that would work for us. Next, we made an appointment for the LA showroom and were very pleased with the instant reply and the request to provide more information about the rooms were were decorating and the styles that suited us best. Our appointment with Riyah lasted over two hours because we are so particular, but she never showed impatience with us nor tried to rush us. In fact, she seemed to truly enjoy the experience. Finally, we were so thrilled to receive an email with a computer-generated rendering of our room showing the furniture we selected, including art and rug ideas. (All of this is done without an extra charge.) It was to scale, which is so important. We have not yet received our furniture, but we got an email last week saying it is ready to ship early. Assuming all will go great with the delivery and final appraisal of the furniture, based on all our great experiences so far. I bought a sectional couch from them and when I moved it to retrieve something the entire section of the leg broke off. I inspected it and found that it is constructed with the cheapest possible particle board. Typically decent quality furniture is made from hardwoods and there are high quality engineered woods but they won't be found here. I spent 10 + years in the custom cabinetry business, so needless to say I know what I'm talking about. Pricey garbage! read more

Worst experience of our life working with this company!!! We ordered our bed 3 months ago the ago, they tried delivering the bed 3 times and every time there was something wrong. Last time the delivery people didn't know how to assemble the bed and they literally broke the bed. It took them 3 weeks to send a technician only for the technician to tell us that the whole bed needs to be replaced. Oh did I mention that they said they wouldn't deliver the bed if we had another bed in the room.... I had the most amazing experience with Joybird furniture on Melrose. I have considered their furniture before bc of some expertly targeted advertising on social media. When I found a showroom I had to check it out. I was lucky enough to start chatting with Riyah. Riyah showed me seating and fabric options and then told me about Joybird's interior design service. We set an appointment for her to view and measure the rooms in my apartment that needed furnishings. Within about a week she had taken ideas from our conversation, and the size / layout of my rooms to make a gorgeous presentation of her interior design ideas. Everything was very thought out and well planned. Riyah had taken the vision right out of my head, polished it up, and put it onto a PowerPoint presentation. I absolutely loved everything! My furniture arrived about a month and a half later in perfect condition. I'm still putting together the final touches in each room. Don't waste your money: Get an IKEA couch instead After the discount, I paid 3K for my Elliot Sectional and it's absolutely not worth this price. The quality of the couch is comparable to IKEA and is therefore, grossly overpriced. The 2 pieces do not align in the back and the repair service was not able to fix it. The fabric on the back of the sectional is not pulled tightly enough and sags in several places. After only two weeks in my living room, the couch cushions are already visibly saggy and worn. The fabric does not wrap around the entire cushion, so you cannot flip them to manage wear and tear. The one positive thing I can report is that customer service was kind to me and offered a full refund. I wrote a review on their website and they never posted it. This probably explains why the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. They must not be posting the negative ones. read more
