You shouldn't order from this company unless you have no other options. They charge for services they don't provide and won't refund the money you pay for assembly and delivery even if they deliver a damaged item to you and you end up having to spend a lot of extra time and energy getting the item replaced yourself. You'll get much better service and quality from online retailers like Wayfair and Amazon. I'm Scandinavian myself and I'm very disappointed to find out this company doesn't act in a Scandinavian manner at all. Their handling of my transaction as they did definitely wouldn't be legal in the EU and I'm not sure they are in the US either. This is what I experienced: I made an pre-order for a product they said wouldn't be in stock for a few months and I was fully charged almost $1000 for it (including $150 for "deluxe delivery) very quickly. This was surprising to me as most companies I've dealt with don't charge for items until they are in stock and on their way to the customer (that's true for Wayfair, Nordic Nest, Best Buy, Amazon and many others). Another surprise came the next day when I got a call saying they had my item in stock and we should schedule delivery. I asked to double-check because I was told this item was not in stock just the day before. After multiple times being put on hold and multiple times on the phone with them over the next few days, they confirmed they made a mistake and the item they had mistakenly called about was damaged and shouldn't be delivered. 10 days later, I got another call saying now the item is in stock and we should schedule delivery. I was suspicious now since this was still earlier than I was told it would be available, but they reassured me this was not a damaged item, so I scheduled delivery for the first Saturday they had an availability. On the delivery day, I was given a delivery window during dinner time on Saturday night. I wasn't thrilled to have to give up Saturday dinner plans, but I didn't complain about that. When they arrived and put the item together, the delivery guys seemed very anxious to leave and one of the guys held out a piece of paper for me to sign while the other guy held the door to my home open for quick departure. I felt a need to inspect the item before I sign anything, but it felt very uncomfortable while the guy was pushing the paper in front of me with a pen to sign. I did take a look at the top part I could see from a standing position, but didn't get down to crawl around on the floor to look at all of it. I had assumed these guys were just anxious to leave so they could have a reasonable dinner break, but now I know different. A few days later when I went to put items on a shelf, I realized it had a huge gash in the top/glossy part of it which they had inserted so it was facing the wall and harder to see if you are standing up. This was unacceptable to me as I had paid for a new item with "deluxe" delivery that was supposed to include professional assembly. Anyone coming in contact with this shelf plate would have noticed this damage and what must have happened was a number of people were hoping I wouldn't notice or wouldn't bother to complain. I subsequently reached out to Scandinavian Design's customer service and was told someone from the warehouse would reach out to me to fix the problem. 3 days later I got a call about scheduling another Saturday where I could sit at home and wait for them to come and replace the damaged part. I was upset at the idea of reserving another Saturday for this when it wasn't my fault they did it wrong in the first place. I mentioned that I would be okay to devote more of my time to fix their mistake, but I'd expect to get some money back for my troubles and at the very least, they should refund the $150 + tax I paid for "deluxe" delivery. I was told this isn't something they can do and they don't do refunds as a company policy. After multiple times reaching out to them in writing and by phone, including speaking with a manager, I finally got one person to agree to refund $50 (perhaps out of his own pocket since the company doesn't allow it), but this was over 2 weeks ago and I still haven't received anything back. I've called to follow up and I've been told it will appear in a few business days, but that was over a week ago. I don't think I'll ever see any refund. They just hope I'll go away so they can move on to mistreating and defrauding other customers. It is illegal in the EU to charge customers for something they don't provide, and I thought it was in the US as well, but maybe there's a loophole in the US I'm not aware of. Regardless, I don't understand how they can have a company policy that doesn't allow refunds when they make mistakes. I've never heard of anything like that and I feel personally offended that this company uses the word "Scandinavian". Scandinavian countries should sue them for defamation and misappropriation due to the way they behave under that moniker.

I looked for a long time to find the right night stand and I'm absolutely thrilled with the quality and the look of this.

My husband finally agreed to getting rid of his bachelor beat up couch set. Hallelujah. We searched high and low for the perfect couch. Our requirements were as follows: puppy proof, future child proof, neutral colored, firm but comfy seating, priced fairly and style fits in w current scheme. Scandinavian Design hit all those marks and more. We got lucky with inventory and got our couch delivered within 2 weeks. The whole process was streamlined including excellent customer service from the sales manager. We will be def coming back for future furniture needs.

I ordered a lot of furniture including bedroom set, wall arts, chairs, sofa and bedding sets,... I like the quality and design. At the day of the delivery some of the items were missing, I contacted the store, Greg, the manager followed up with the missing items. Despite being after hours he stayed in the store to make sure all the items were ordered and shipped correctly. He is a super responsible guy. Her managed everything awesome and I had the missing items the day after. Thank you for your great service Greg. I definitely recommend this place to my friends and will go back for more shopping.

Sofa shopping is exhausting! Especially when you like several sofas and you don't know which one to pick. We had been shopping for a new sofa for weeks and checked out several different spots, but we didn't like any of the choices at the furniture stores in our neighborhood. Long story short, we finally pulled the trigger here at a store that was almost 40 miles from our house. Honestly, I can't even remember how we found ourselves here. I think my fiancé saw something on Instagram or something haha! Israel helped us out and explained how the cushions in the sofa are constructed, and we worked out a nice deal including delivery. He was helpful, patient, and very kind in finding us any extra discounts and updating us on delivery status. Sofa even came in a few weeks earlier than originally told at the store, so that was a nice surprise. Delivery was smooth and easy and the team was nice and courteous. I will say though the cushions felt much firmer when we got it compared to the one in the store. It actually made me nervous that we made the wrong choice because of how stiff it felt. However, it's been about 2 or 3 weeks now, and the cushions feel much better.

Not only did he chat with me for a few minutes on what I was looking for but then emailed me photos of things he thought might fit the bill. Now that's what I'm talking about!!! So all the customer service that has gone from every chain store - this is where it ended up... Who knew! Jose was very up front with me that his pieces were probably out of my price range but that did not stop him from helping anyway and he might just get a customer outta me yet. I did visit the store the next day just because of his kind treatment of me on the phone and it was a lovely store. I've got my eye on a piece that if it is still there after I save more; I might get it or at the very least I have a new option for any future pieces. Make sure to get directions to the store before you hit the rode. I never even knew there was store's where Tara is located and it's a little gem. Thanks Jose - hope to see you again.

But the problem was, the rug I saw on their website was the one I wanted--nay, *needed.* I had searched high and low for the perfect rug for my living room and when I found it on the L+G website, I was devastated to learn that so many customers had had such unsavory experiences. The thing is, I couldn't stop thinking about the Tahj hand-knotted rug, and they were having a huge sale that I felt compelled to take advantage of. Both rugs I ordered were listed as "in stock and ships in 5-7 days" so I took a chance. And I am so glad I did. I placed my order for 2 rugs (The Tahj and the Saffron runner) and 2 coordinating rug pads on 2/17. The rug pads arrived on 2/25 and both rugs arrived on 2/27. They are absolutely STUNNING. I'm Persian and Turkish--I was born into rug culture, so I have high standards; I am in awe of these rugs and delighted to invite them into my home. It's a bummer that L+G has not been consistent with their shipping + customer service, but I'm hoping my positive experience + review might help someone else who is smitten with one of their rugs to see that sometimes they do get it right.
