We visited this location three times and each time we were lucky enough to work with Mike, who is the store manager. The entire experience each time was low-pressure but high information. Mike never tried to upsell us anything crazy and has a very good sense for what his customers want/need. The first bed we bought did not work out for us so we ended up doing an exchange. Mike was great with the exchange in addition to the initial sale. My only word of advice is to fully understand the exchange policy and costs as the restocking fee is steep, especially if you've bought an expensive mattress to begin with. In addition to the great service, what we really liked about going to Sit N Sleep is the wide selection. We also visited Saatva in our quest to buy a new mattress, and while their prices and quality are good, their selection is somewhat limited. read more

I usually have a stressful experience with sales rep but Josie actually respected and worked within our budget and showed us some awesome options without any feelings of pressure. He of course had me compare it to a number of others and explained all the features of each. Even when he was offering upsells, I never felt any pressure to buy anything other than exactly what I wanted. Delivery process was also smooth and the guys were great. We bought our bed only one week ago. The good word is that it's super comfortable, we love the adjustable platform and my back pain is gone. The bad news is one side of the platform does not work. It's only a week old. We also were upsold...beware of this. Our salesman recommended split head sheets which I stated I did NOT wish to buy. He sent them regardless and charged for them. I returned them within 48 hours of the bed delivery and still do not have our credit on our Amex. I'm really questioning their customer service. I say if you buy from the La Brea Ave store, check your receipt carefully that the salesperson does not sneak in 500.00 bed linens and make sure everything works. I'm waiting to see how customer service handles these two major issues. Update: spoke with Customer Service. They have no record of my return of the bed linens and no record of the attempted repair two days ago. So far our experience has been poor with Sit n Sleep. Cannot recommend them any more. read more

He was also very transparent on pricing and seemed to truly care that I find something that I would like. Mike is one of the best salespeople I've ever dealt with, and it was such a memorable experience that when I needed another mattress, back to Sit 'n Sleep I went with my husband. This time, Alejandro was the sales person on the floor. He could not have been more bored, less attentive, or more insulting. Suffice to say he didn't seem to know the mattresses and was unable to offer any guidance. If we didn't really need a mattress, we would have walked. After reading my review here, Mike, the store manager, called me and assured me the problem would be fixed. He said that they had sent me the wrong frame (full xtra-long instead of regular full) and scheduled a pick up of the wrong one and delivery of the shorter one. Delivery was done as promised but the smart driver measured my bed and the new rails before unloading the truck: they were the same length! so they took back my rails and now I am waiting for a FULL refund. Still very disappointed with the Company. I will update my reviews if and when I get my money back. I hope they refund it FAST, since they had it in their account for 2 & 1/2 months. read more

Despite the time, we had the blessing of it working out. It came with a great sense of relief and she was able to see what I had pointed out in coming to a resolution. I was shopping for a new bed from top to bottom & decided to check out S&S as well as a VERY HIGH END mattress store. Long story short, I made my purchase at S&S due to several reasons: huge selection, reasonable prices, excellent customer service, product availability & company's reputation. Chris Mora was the sales rep who walked me through the store originally - from the Bed Match experience to the selection of my final 2 choices. He was patient, professional & answered all of my questions. Mike Strand completed my purchase when I returned to the store later in the week. He, too, was very professional and went through all of the warranty info with me & explained how delivery would work. The delivery was also fantastic! I received an automated call & text the night before my delivery date with a 3 hour window. On the day of delivery, I was able to see the truck as it was getting closer & then I received a call when it was 10 minutes away. The delivery guys were great! They set the entire bed up, took my old bed & frame away and removed all the trash!
