Rewriting this review as I wanted to give more insight on how great this place is! I came in to these guys after sleeping on a rough mattress for the past few years and was trying to find one that would help with side sleeping. When I walked in we spoke with Richard who was friendly off the bat and got to know what exactly we needed in a new mattress. I had a really great experience at this place a couple weekends ago. I came in looking for a new mattress. It's one of those processes that sounds pretty simple and straightforward until you are standing in a showroom, overwhelmed by all the options. The salesman here (I think his name was Tracy? He was covering from another store...) immediately approached us and went about asking us questions to help us find the right mattress. He was well informed, personable, and patient. I liked him right away. Within 15 minutes, we'd found one we were liking quite a bit. We had initially planned on visiting a few stores, but Tracy quickly offered us a price that was simply too good to pass up. He got us checked out quickly and our mattress arrived a week later. Had our first night's sleep on it last night and it was perfect. Can tell it's a very high quality mattress and I can't believe the great price we got on it. Very limited selection. We ended up spending upwards of $11,000 on our bedroom setup (separate motorized base, two twin mattresses, mattress protector, and a mattress pad - admittedly sounds nuts now). I debated writing this for a long time because Richard was so nice, but all of the great reviews made me choose mattress pros somewhat blindly in a desperate situation, so I felt like posting an honest review might help someone else do a little more research before choosing (I wish I had). They only offer store credit, so we ended up with a much less expensive mattress (that we ended up giving away), and lots of leftover credit we won't ever use. Richard is very amiable, but left us feeling helpless. He basically told us that none of the mattresses in the store feel like they will once they're broken in at home, so we ended up having no idea how to choose. At first he was very responsive. By the time we switched he was less so. By the end he was dismissive, but never rude - we still haven't received the two pillows we ordered with our mattress around Memorial Day that he said would show up eventually (we just needed to be "patient"). I don't think we would have liked them anyways as they were larger versions of the free one he gave us the first day we went to look (again, super nice at first). There were lots of reasons we finally gave up. We couldn't find a mattress in the store that we found comfortable (we were reminded it didn't matter if it was comfortable there, it would feel different at home). We were very unimpressed with the delivery - the mattresses showed up in the back of a pickup truck with three angry guys who bumper-car-ed their way up our staircase. Every interaction made us feel like Richard was doing us a favor, so we felt like a burden. I have a bad back and it was more urgent to find something that worked, so we went elsewhere. My wife and I recently purchased a mattress from Kyle at Mattress Pros in Culver City. They have a great selection to choose from, and Kyle totally listened to what we needed. We shopped at 6 different places, and at Mattress Pros, they matched the best price that we had received. We are not from the area, but drove for over an hour to see what they had, and to see if in fact they had the best price out there, which, in fact, they did! We visited several places that basically only carried stearns and foster, or posture pedic. However, I learned that they are all made with the individually wrapped coils, so in my opinion, they are all very similar, or nearly identical in construction! What sets Mattress Pros apart from the other guy, is service, and price! Because Mattress Pros doesn't have all the high dollar advertising of stearns and foster or posture pedic, they can keep their cost down. They can also negotiate a lower price, which I found out stearns and foster and posture pedic will not do! Now don't get me wrong, stearns and foster and posture pedic make a very good mattress. But the difference is the price. You're paying for the name! We paid quite a bit less that HALF of what I would have paid for a stearns and foster mattress. We needed a firm mattress with a pillow top, and they had several to choose from. They are all high quality, and have a 10 year warranty, which is pretty standard, I believe. I went to several other dealerships for mattress, but one in particular was kind of shady with what they were telling me, so I ended up going back to Mattress Pros, where Kyle matched his price, without the shade. I almost never do a review for a product of any kind, but Kyle and Mattress Pros were the very best! You won't be disappointed! read more

Wow. An absolutely amazing experiencing I had shopping here. I found them on Yelp and watched their YouTube video that had me sold on coming through. First of all it's family owned, and I love supporting local business. Second, when we walked in Kade was amazing right away he helped explain all the different mattress styles to us. I came, honestly not expecting to find the perfect fit for a mattress on my first stop. I thought I would have to check out different places, compare prices, etc. bc frankly I had in mind a specific brand/bed that I knew they didn't carry but I came in and I'm so glad that I did! A gentleman helped me right away, I believe his name was Sean. He helped me find the perfect type of mattress based on what I liked and in the size/price range I needed. I thought I could only ever want a full memory foam from now on but I ended up getting a king size hybrid style with a plush top, from a boutique California company (supporting local, love that). I've had it for nearly 8 months now and it is the absolute BEST. I describe my bed as a cloud from heaven, better than my last, which was hard to beat. After visiting most of the mattress stores (both chains and family-owned) in SaMo and Culver City, we found our mattress at Mattress Pros, thanks to the Yelp community and the amazing Richard! We already had our sights set on a latex mattress and called Mattress Pros on a whim to see if they have something similar and at a more affordable price. Richard only had a similar one and promised to price match over the phone and, when we weren't happy with the similar product, he casually showed us a few different options and gave us space and time (2+ hours) to try them out on our own. We didn't feel crowded or rushed to make a decision, and he made sure to check up on us every so often when we have questions. Even gave us different pillows to try with the mattress. When we finally made a decision, he gave us a bargain and hooked us up with a few accessories. Hint: if you check in on yelp, the current promo gives you pillows and a mattress protector. We loved the deal, plus the fact that there is a half-year trial period where you can switch mattresses if you change your mind. If you decide to return a mattress, there is a restocking fee. Our mattress was delivered in two weeks (due to manufacturing issues, no fault of Richard's) and was quickly replaced with another one when we spotted a defect on it. I can't say enough good things about this place. As a Palisades fire victim, one of the things that really affected me the most Was that I had the absolute most comfortable mattress in the entire world that I had had for far longer than anyone ever should and I had to get rid of it. Moving from place to place, the beds were just so uncomfortable and so when it came time for me to be able to move back home, I had to choose a new mattress for me and my daughter. A mattress is a commitment not to be taken lightly. We went to about five stores and made a note to each other as we were walking in that there wasn't a lot of "personality" at any of these places. That changed the second we entered the store. So full of personality and sympathy for our situation and equipped with so much knowledge it was beyond impressive. Within minutes of being there, another couple was saying as they were purchasing that they hadn't intended to buy that day, but because of how they were treated, they just had to. Talk about overhearing an endorsement that gives you confidence that you've landed in the right place - that was it. They gave me a fantastic deal, quick and seamless delivery and set up and beds that are just dreamy.
