They recommended the wrong air filter, according to the Filtrete air filter representative. I ask the Lowe's employee which had the best air flow. He said the lowest number has the least air restriction. I normally use a MERV 8. I didn't get the "lowest" MERV rating this time because it looked like it wouldn't stop dust (rocks maybe- ha ha). I bought the Filtrete MERV 5 filters. After I got them home, and installed them, I saw that they had a very wide border compared to my MERV 8 filters. I contacted Filtrete directly and their customer rep said that because of the wide border, the 5 has the same air restriction as the 8. Plus the rep said (now get this), their MERV 13 has the "least" air restriction. I explained what the Lowe's employee said, and the Filtrete rep said.... " the MERV 13 has the least air restriction"! I wish Lowe's knew about the MERV 5 vs. the MERV 8, and that the 13 has the most air flow ( least air restriction). I kept the email conversation with the Filtrete rep. This is very confusing. It makes NO logical sense to me, unless Filtrete is lying!!!!! Somebody is lying. I'm not wasting my gas money to go back to Lowe's over two filters. I wish Lowe's would meet with Filtrete to get the correct information. read more

I made my purchases online 8/30, and planned days off of work so I could be present for deliver/ installation of the appliances. Day of oven installation I took the day off of work. The install could not be done until the following day. I could not take off work again, I had a neighbor stay at my house for install. I'm new to the area, so basically I asked a stranger to stay in my home until my oven could be put in. The $2100 Washer/ Dryer was to be delivered and installed tomorrow (9/14) and a message was sent TODAY saying the expected delivery NOW has changed to 9/21!?!? Over a week delayed and you are telling me the day before install was to happen? Someone must be present for delivery and someone needs to be present for install on a completely different date. I cancelled all pending items and I will find a Washer/ Dryer anywhere else. Lowes on-line is NOT the Lowes you visit. Customer service is a joke with automation for everything and an inability to reach humans. I will continue to walk into a local Lowes for small items, but for bigger, more costly purchases I highly suggest you shop elsewhere and avoid the big box store run-around. Disappointment all around Lowes. Do better. I'm willing to forego my military discount if I can get the $2100 appliances delivered and installed as promised... or at least within 2 weeks of ordering. read more

We have purchased many things here over the past 5 years. Today I called to ask the flooring department about a specific item number I need more on. Unfortunately it wasn't available in store or at the warehouse. The guy I spoke to in the flooring department was so nice and helpful and recommended different flooring colors that would be closest that were available in the store. They exceeded my expectations and were so knowledgeable and friendly. I wish more stores had workers like this. Its refreshing being able to speak to someone over the phone. We have always been happy with the affordable pricing on everything we have purchased. read more

My Quasar microwave mounted over the stove died and I ordered a new Frigidaire (supposed to be very good) from Lowe's online, including installation and haul-away. Well, it seems they subcontract the installation to CRST Home Solutions. I do NOT recommend their subcontractor here in Tucson - that was a horrid experience. The person they sent took one look - did not even bother to remove the old microwave, simply said it was hard-wired and I must call an electrician. Called Lowe's and they admitted hard-wired units require an electrician. This was not mentioned the last time I bought a microwave (not from Lowe's). Fortunately, a neighbor knows a great electrician and he came out quickly to remove the microwave - which was NOT hard-wired. Rescheduled the installer - they were dragging out every time by days. Told them up front there was an outlet in the wall. On the scheduled day, they asked for a photo of the outlet, which I sent, and they said outlets in the wall were not acceptable. It had to be in the cabinet over the microwave position, and dropped me again. This was almost two weeks after buying the unit. So I called the electrician who could come out and finish the install completely. I called Lowe's and cancelled their installer - fortunately, Lowe's did not charge me for them. Bought a plant, paid cash was supposed to be 75% off. Mentioned 75% discount several times to cashier and told her she would need an override. Got to my car, looked at receipt and went right back to same cashier (she charged me 50%) and she walked me to customer service/returns. She set me up for a gift card to be sent via FedEx. I receive a gift card $4.20, and it should have been $6.72. I know it is not a lot of money but...their customer service stinks. I will never go back to that store. A young employee who provided great customer service... that seems rare today. Yup I did it. I bought cheap paint of the highest quality you can get at Lowe's. I had a list of things to purchase while I waited at the paint counter, my husband located the other items we needed. And I waited and waited. There was another gentleman waiting so I went to him & asked if he was being helped? Nope! I then walked over to the self service checkout & asked the associate if she could get someone to help us. She said she already had called for someone as she had seen the gentleman standing there. Great! I'll be patient & wait. Meanwhile, my husband is nearly done getting all the other things we needed & I'm still waiting. I hear her call on the overhead for help again in the paint dept. ... crickets... Then a cheery gal arrives announcing it's not her department but she's there to help. Oh boy! She attends the gentleman as he's obviously been waiting the longest & I mean a long time! My turn. I tell her the color of paint I want mixed, she asks if I have the swatch, nope. No problem she looks it up in the computer. I realize now had I had the swatch this transaction would've been smoother but I knew they could pull it up but I didn't know she didn't know what she was doing. Sigh... I'm trusting she's going to mix my paint correctly. Fingers crossed! Paint can is mixed & im hoping the color is matched to the swatch I have at home. I get home & realize she didn't put a paint tag on the can. The first coat of paint goes on & I know I'll have to give it another coat because yes I did buy cheap paint & it's not quality paint like Benjamin Moore I'm used to. I may regret this later. Now for my thoughts of Lowes. They lack in customer service even though the store was nearly empty of people possibly because it's 100+ degrees out & im grateful for Lorraine showing up to help & giving it her best to be of assistance. read more

Home improvement stores are not on my regular rotation. But with recent home updating projects I found myself at HD and Lowe's. I can't speak to which store is better or if one stocks different things over the other, but I found Lowe's on Oracle to be less hectic than Home Depot. Although, timing could've certainly been a factor. I find that the folks at Lowe's are somewhat more informed on product and overall the store felt safe to shop at during these times Of Covid-19. Wanted a patio set to entertain at our new house. Bought patio set. Agreed to pick up the next day. Someone sold it to someone else. Staff agreed to drop off new set today- waited all day. Was told it wasn't coming after being on home for more than an hour. Called asking for managers, none were available. Apparently Mario, their GM is "out of town" until an unknown date. Furniture isn't even in Tucson and won't be arriving until later this week when I'm out of town. Was informed by an associate that "another customer took your set, it's not our fault, it happens all the time!" So, I'm still confused if you just go in and steal other peoples sets, or they sell things twice then blame everything on customers. I rarely say this, but I would rather be waterboarded than go back to Lowe's. This was the most incredibly inane and ridiculous experience I've ever had regarding customer service. As someone above said, there is NO customer service so just order off Wayfair because it's faster, cheaper and you don't have to beg to speak to a manager who is "out of town" or "unloading trucks" or "not at their desk". read more

My sister and I went to the Lowe's in Tucson, on Oracle Road, to seek help in planning our kitchens. It took us a very long time before we could even find someone to give us any help in signing up for this service. We had to pay $150 to get both places measured. While we were finding out this information, we were talking to the person who was helping us and we explained that one of the kitchens had a really bad roof leak, so that all the cabinets on one side got torn out and the wall had to be rebuilt. That there was no drywall and that the flooring was going to be replaced was also mentioned. We told her that we had someone in place to replace the flooring and the windows, but, we needed someone to help us plan the kitchen and help us sort out persons to do the dry wall, etc, as well as how to make it look nice. They told us someone would be out to measure in 24-48 hours. No. It took longer than that. He was pleasant, though, and informative.There was nothing about the process that gave me any worries. He told us it would be 24-48 hours before his notes got into the system and then we will be called soon after to make an appt., but we could call to set one up instead. 48 hours would have been Thursday. On Friday, I tried to call Lowe's, repeatedly, and there was no answer. So, on Saturday, we went to the store, went to customer service and told the very nice lady why we were there. We were escorted back to the design area by a person who, later, told us he manages three different departments. On the way, he asked me if we were going to have custom cabinets built. I said, "Probably not. Probably just stock, because, there is a lot that needs to be done." He asked me if we are going to want them to do flooring, too. I told him no. Because, as a Lowe's representative had already been told, we had someone else in place to do the flooring. Shortly after we sat down with him, he informed us that the installer would not install the cabinets, because, there are conditions that they do not find acceptable or which have not been met. Something like that. And, then, we proceeded to go through what would be a very funny conversation in a movie, but, is a horror story in real life. He told us he could not give us the measurements because the measurements belong to them. That we paid to have the rooms measured for Lowe's, so that their installer could do the install. But, the installer does not want to do the install, so we cannot have a kitchen planned by Lowe's, because, the measurements are only for their installer. That's when he said he is a manage of three departments and they have never given anyone the measurements for anything. This is not what we were told when we made the appointment. We had specifically talked about possibly using the kitchen plan to buy materials from Lowe's and to have the installation done by the guy who is doing our flooring and not only were we not told that this could not be done; we were specifically told that it could be or we could hire Lowe's to do the install. Well, after my sister got righteously upset that the manager was telling her she could not have her money back since we did have our kitchens measured, even though the measurements were not going to be given to us and the installer would not be installing anything, and, no kitchen planning would happen, because, the kitchen planning is done with measurements that Lowe's owns for their installer, even though $150 was paid for those measurements to be taken and we had made NO AGREEMENT that Lowe's owned that information and that they would be hired for the installation, he just let us walk away, angry and abused and insulted and frustrated and just thoroughly mind-raped by him and Lowe's. We ended up going to Customer Service again, talking to the same lady, and my sister told her what happened and that she wants her money back and that she is going to cancel her members /credit card if she's going to be treated this way. That lady called that same manager up and he gave my sister a refund. But, here we are, with someone to do the floor and windows and no one to do such things as drywall, spackling, installing cabinets. And, I don't know where we are going to get our materials, now, because, I found a rather expensive sink for the best price at Lowe's, and a great faucet, and the exact right color of cabinets for the wall color I want. We had tiles for the backsplash near to being decided on. All from Lowe's. But, that manager, by lying to us, crapped several thousand dollars down the drain, plus the money that we would have paid an installer who was willing to do the work All because no one would just sit down with us and help us plan the kitchen, walk us through the process and tell us what we might need to hire someone else to do - like if Lowe's installers never do drywall - before we could put the rest of the plan into action. Fist off, I appreciate that everyone is wearing a mask at this location, occasionally there will be a customer with a mask below their nose or mouth, but that is not the norm. Unlike my experiences at HD, where the employees seem to hide from customers, the employees at Lowe's seem much more willing and able to help. We came here to see if they had anything on sale for our shop. Well first of all I dont know who's bright idea was to have the ourdoor speaker so loud that it gave my milutary husband ptsd. Every time I go to Lowe's, it's to spend LOTS OF MONEY on house projects. That was the plan yesterday. I needed help, and every time I asked for help from the four individuals I chased down, I was told they couldn't help me - "That's not my department". And along they went. I never did find any help. I needed a few items, big ticket items. I already had several things in my basket - Things I did not come in for, like some plants and pots and household items. I left my basket in the middle of an aisle and then promptly left to go spend my money at Ace Hardware. It's a little more expensive, but at least I get help there. So after I wasted an hour and a half at Lowe's, I was helped immediately and graciously at Ace. Thank you for reminding me to just skip Lowe's altogether. I just bought my very first home back in February(hooray for debt!^_^). Seeing that the house i bought was a foreclosed home, it came with a lot of problems/issues. Missing fixtures, a million holes, dirty walls, horrible flooring, missing appliance you name it. This past few weeks Lowe's has been my go-to store for all my home improvements needs. The employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. I was picking up some paint last night and had no clue what semi gloss, gloss, satin, eggshell or flat meant until Chris(works in the paint department) ask me what i was painting. I had told him i was painting my living room, he gave me some ideas and suggested i should go with a Satin base paint for my accent wall and an eggshell for the 3 opposing walls. To make me feel comfortable about his suggestion he gave me examples and educate me on the difference between the different base finished. Lowe's has this "MyLowe's" card. You can track your in-store purchases, remind you to buy things, keeps an online inventory, and saves your shopping list for easy mobile access! Talk about convenience. Every time i'm at Lowe's i walk out feeling confident and knowledgeable. read more

Did curbside not good at all used the app sat in truck for 15 minutes finally went inside to get my order was told they couldn't pick it up. This as I watched lady push it across floor and tearing up box that is a present. They tell me were waiting on help as 6 people stood around behind desk talking. I like this Lowe's location. It's really easy to get in and out of. Seriously I somehow always end up parked right by the door. I'm really not that lazy but at home Improvement stores I do appreciate not having to carry my inevitably bulky purchase through a giant parking lot. And speaking of parking lots, unlike a certain other home improvement store over at El Con Mall, they actually have cart returns. The wood we've gotten from there for our endless remodeling project has generally been pretty good, we can usually find enough non warped pieces for what we need. The granite tile we got there on clearance for our kitchen last year is awesome. And I can't help but mention that it's across the street from a Super Target, so prime location in my book. read more

I love Lowe's and the fact that they support Veterans, so my critique is of this specific store, one specific manager and should not be considered a negative review of Lowes as a whole. I have unfortunately had to deal with the manager "Nick"on two separate occasions and found him to be on the verge of incompetent, absolutely no help whatsoever, and during the first occasion, was floored when he threatened my delivery date on an appliance. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS LOWES. I had placed an order for a washer and dryer that were somewhat high end. The washer was delivered without issue but the dryer arrived damaged so we did not accept it. Having no luck in resolving the issue over the phone I decided to stop in the store to make sure a new one was ordered. In speaking with the appliance manager at the store he informed me that the price for the washer and dryer had actually dropped $200 in the week and a half since I had purchased them and told me to go speak to a manager so they could adjust the price and get me a discount. I spoke to Nick and not only did he refuse, he told me that if I returned the washer and dryer and rebought them at a lower price that the delivery of the appliances would be pushed to the bottom of the schedule and would be "at their convenience." read more
