Had an incredible experience today at Lowe's. I bought a big grill, huge propane fireplace, two propane tanks, and multiple accessories for the grill. Our store assistant, King, helped us and he was absolutely amazing! He ran back and forth and got everything together for us with a smile on his face. So a few things. Stepped in today for some wall paper tools for a project but while rolling through we swing through appliances. We saw this really nice kitchen aide wall oven in a sale area but it didn't have a tag on it. Curious about the price we strolled over to the gentle man working in the area sitting at his computer. This dude seemed genuinely upset that we were bothering him. He was sitting there looking up rental properties in Nevada so I guess we were interrupting him? Literally one or two word answers then just left mid sentence and went and sat back down at his desk. It was one of the biggest "what the hell just happened" moments I've ever had while shopping. Ran into a few nice people that worked there and the store is always super clean but this actually pissed me off lol. read more

I called and asked for assistance with bathroom shower cleaning, was transferred to kitchen appliances, then in hold for 15 minutes again transferred to the wrong department. When I finally got a representative to ask about cleaning shower tiles & explained the issue & products I've tried to clean the grout... the rep was confused and said "so you're not looking for a remodel?" Not once my verbiage was not about cleaning products. I had a similar situation with Home Depot. Twenty years ago customer service was on spot. Now stores pay $20 minimum wage & don't train on basic common sense customer service. I called as the last time I went to the store and literally had to chase down employees and say loudly "Excuse me, can you help" and they pointed me to the wrong area of the store. They could hire people with basic home knowledge to help with simple questions but it's almost like they purposely hire uneducated people who bounce you around the store. read more

I. Am. So. F-ing. Mad. I went to get a paint sample to paint my freshly caulked siding. I only needed a little, and when the guy said he couldn't color match the small paint chip I brought in from the side of my house, I asked if I could peruse the colors to match it by eye. He said yes. I looked at the Valspar display and inquired, "It says interior/exterior...what does that mean?" (Yes, I am naive having never painted my house before.) He proceeded to tell me that it was the same. Well, cool, I thought, paint has come a long way! I found a pretty close color, and he mixed me up a bottle, never once inquiring if it was for indoors or outdoors. Well, no worries, right? Because it's dual purpose, right? WRONG!!!! It wasn't until after I spent over two hours repainting my caulking outside, making it perfect, thinking never again will I have to do this house project, to look at the container in horror as it dawned on me that it said...interior. A quick Google search confirmed my fears. Interior does not equal exterior. WHY DID HE NOT ASK ME IF IT WAS FOR INDOORS OR OUTDOORS!!!??? WHO DOES NOT DO THIS?? Wow! We bought a dishwasher one month ago today and when it was installed it was faulty. We realize that's not Lowe's fault; however their fault is that we are still waiting one month for the replacement. We receive occasional calls with updates letting us know this should occur soon. Once again let me remind you it's been 30 days! The latest this past weekend, we receive a voicemail from Sean apparently the dept manager and he calls to say I am calling to see what the issue is and how I can help you. My project was a blind install that became a nightmare very quickly. Rayline Installation third party vendor used by Lowe's for window treatments are less than professional. Initial appointment consisted of measuring. I return to the store to select the blinds to expedite the installation all items were in stock. My Lowe's salesperson stated she would start preparing blinds and contact Rayline for completion and pickup. This visit happened on a Sunday. Monday I contacted the Tacoma Lowes for an update the salesperson stated everything was ready but veins for living room was out of stock and Puyallup was the closest location so she would have those items next business day. Fast forward three days later she stated she had to retrieve those from the Puyallup location. I called Rayline on Wednesday attempting to set up the install appointment couple issues occurred with incompetent staff. Appointment made after several phone calls. Saturday arrival 7 days later appointment window 8am-11am installer arrived at 5pm no communication all day for delay no apologies upon arrival. installed incomplete living room blinds left at store. On Sunday I called my salesperson to explain the fiasco and she informed me that the blinds were at the store. I picked up the blinds and installed them myself. I'm so very disappointed and disgusted with Lowe's and the incompetent staff I can not and would not recommend to anyone. I've spoken to 7 people over the past three weeks asking to be compensated for this situation keeping in mind it would be a credit to my Lowe's account I received $18 I 'm appalled. Worst customer service ever. The gal at the self checkout was too busy flirting with the security guard to bother checking with customer service about an item we were purchasing that had been left there per another worker's statement. When asked about price matching the same worker stated she didn't know how and I could tell she was trying to get out of attempting to try. Finally she called over an assistant manager. The assistant manager Rob didn't know how either and tried to go back and forth with me about whether price matching was a policy there (I showed the Lowe's site) and then the price of the item. He kept stating it was a different price when the item he was looking at was not what I was purchasing. I literally had the Walmart app open with the correct item and he still tried to insist I was wrong. Just all around a cluster a display of poor training and customer service. read more

Where do I even start. Well for one thing I hope you don't care about customer service going here. I have spent well in excess of 20k at this store this year. I am a pro customer. And yes it is only halfway through the year... That said every delivery order is a train wreck (putting it nicely). And it seams as if there is one manager at the store that cares. Let's start with Shelly or sherry (pro manager). Expect 100% of the time she is totally lying if going to "call you back". Today I had a drywall order confirmed via txt message Friday for today (Monday) delivery. I have guys onsite waiting for arrival. Something told me to call the store. I did and guess what no order today. Shelly says (and I repeated it back to her) she will call me in an hour. Well I'm still waiting this was over 12 hours ago. Before you say it corporate does not care either. I called them and they said oh we are sure she will call you shortly she is the one to fix this. Well that means nothing either... Last but not least and this is maybe the worst part of just this one order. I want to know how many sheets of the 250 I am getting tomorrow. Yeah so I went to get a fridge and we were in there for like 20 minutes before we could find anyone to help us buy the fridge. Then we bought the fridge and they sent us one with a huge ass dent in. The delivery guy said he would get it exchanged for me- no problem, so I tried to call the store, and they put me on hold for 15 minutes then hung up. I called the store again and got directed to the website for returns, which told me I had to call the 1800 number and wait another 15 minutes before a lovely lady from Trinidad entered a case for me. I ordered hardwood and installation for 3 bedrooms. Initially all went well. The person who came to measure was very nice and efficient. The person who contacted me about purchasing was helpful and very kind. I received a call from the installers who scheduled 21/2weeks out. They told me to make sure the flooring was at my home at least 3 days prior for it to acclimate. I tried to see what was happening on the website, but I could not. So I called this Lowe's store where I bought the flooring. An automated system answered initially and asked what I was calling about. I was then routed to customer service. After waiting for several rings, the phone was answered and I was told to please hold and was placed on hold for 20 minutes. The person answered the phone. I explained what I was asking about. I was told I would need to talk to someone in flooring and was put on hold. I waited on hold for another 20 minutes and the phone hung up on me. I called back and went through the same process of being routed to customer service waiting for this time 25 minutes, and when I finally spoke with someone, they told me they didn't know why I was hung up on to them and they were going to put me on a brief hold while they looked into this. I was then on hold for another 20 minutes at which time it sounded like someone picked up the phone and we got disconnected. I waited a few minutes thinking they would call me back and when they didn't I went through this process again. I waited another 20 to 25 minutes this time and when someone finally spoke to me they recognized my phone number evidently and called me by my name and told me that I need to be patient and to understand that they were very busy and that they have customers in the store that they have to attend to. Admittedly, this made me upset and I I explained what I had just experienced by being on hold and that I have spent a significant amount of money on this flooring and I am a valued customer as well. At that this individual hung up on me. I then called back and went through this this again on hold for 20 minutes. When the customer service agent answered this time she she knew me by name and explained she was still working on my case to which I asked to speak with the manager immediately. I was told she was with another customer and she will get with me as soon as she is done. I waited for 15 minutes when she got on the phone. I explained what I had just experienced and she told me that we just needed to get my flooring taken care of and was sorry they did not meet my expectations. She simply wanted to get my issue addressed. She told me that my flooring was in the store and ready for me to pick up. I explained that I was told that the flooring would be delivered to my home as I do not have a way of picking the flooring up myself. She told me they only deliver to my area once a month. She said she could put emergency delivery date in for June 27 and asked morning or afternoons would be best for me. I indicated I was flexible as I will need to take off the entire day anyways because of the commute to my job. So she told me it for sure would be delivered by the afternoon on June 27. as planned I took off the entire day and as the day we're on, I started to get worried and by 3 o'clock. I decided I needed to call. I called and the automated system told me I did not have a delivery scheduled for today. I then asked to speak with customer service. I went through the whole process of being on hold for 25 minutes talking to someone to be put on hold for 15 minutes hung up on called back put on hold for 25 minutes when I finally speak to someone, they told me that this was the busiest time of the day and that they had other customers that they were tending to and that I need to understand and have patience. I was put on hold and hung up on. I called back waited 25 minutes again this time when someone answered I said I want to speak with a supervisor or manager. The supervisor got on the phone and indicated I did not have a delivery set up. At which time I told them to cancel my order, I am done. she said she would do that, but I needed to come in to make sure it goes back on the credit card I used. I asked for the number of the corporate office which she provided. Since I had installers call to confirm installation and today I received a call asking when I was going to pick up the flooring. Came back from traveling and found out the freezer on our new refrigerator doesn't seal properly and is bleeding air and causing the whole freezer to be covered in frost. Lowes wouldn't do anything for us less than 30 days after we both it. They only offer a 48 hour window to find issues which wouldn't have been enough time to realize this was happening. read more

good god, I was working on a REALLY tough project. I am fixing up a shop for my friend in a toxic relationship, she needed her shop fixed in order to have independence from it. she was unable to do it herself due to her cancer and the job was a TALL one. Justin in lumber helped me straighten my thoughts out and pick out tools and drywall. Lindsay and Noel both helped me measure and cut down the drywall so I could take it back and install it. they were so amazing and helpful and I'm super glad Home Depot closed early and lead me to this Lowes. One thing I can say is the customer service is consistant...ly not so great... Don't get me wrong. You do have a few individuals that are kind and helpful, but most of the staff are just grumpy, look and act like they don't want to be there, and just rude. This place is great if you DO know what you're looking for and if you don't need something out of reach, or paint. Last year I ordered a grill online to pick up later in the day. It said it would be a couple of hours until my order was ready. More than 6 hours later, I didn't receive a call, text, e-mail, nada! Luckily I was in the area and dropped by. Went to customer service to see what the deal was, and no one- I repeat, no one, got my order ready. It's a grill in a box!! The gal at customer service said no one was able to retrieve my order yet. I look around and there are plenty of staff members chillin around. Even on their phones. They finally get a young man, who by the way was very pleasant, go get the grill. The time before this, the gal at the paint department had a frown so low, I really didn't want to approach her, but she was the only one there at the time. She wasn't very helpful with the questions i asked about the difference in gloss. I just got 2 samples. I swear I wrote a review not too long ago for this location. Do these get deleted? Anyway, they do have self check out, which is nice. Most of the time the place is stocked up. They have special parking for veterans which is cool. The garden section is plentiful as well. I've been coming here for the past 2 years since moving to this side of town. I do stand by what I said about the staff/customer service though. I have never experienced worse customer service especially from "managment". Also, my calls we're constantly dropped or transferred to a line where it went silent and nobody answered. I recently order all my appliances through Lowes: washer, dryer, dishwasher, range, microwave, and refrigerator. They were scheduled to be delivered and installed. When we ordered them the person forgot to include a stacking kit for the washer/dryer even though we said multiple times it would be stacked. So we they came to deliver the appliances they couldn't be installed and had to reschedule an installation day. Then we the installers came to mount the microwave they said they couldn't install it because there was tile and it's company policy they can't do an install if there is tile. When the oven range was installed they forgot to put in the anti-tip-bracket that comes included in the box with the range. When I called Lowe's to find out where the bracket was (because they didn't leave it at my house but took it with them) the person who I spoke to in deliveries said she was the manager, but later found out that was a lie, said they don't install the anti-tip-bracket because there is a liability if they have to install it into the floor. I asked then why didn't they just leave it? She said she would order a new one for me and call me when it was available for pick up. I called back a few days later do get an eta on that order to not only find out she never placed the order and that's when I found she wasn't a manager. I asked to speak to the manager and how long it would take to get this missing part, as it's the only thing hold up the my home renovation after we had a fire over a year ago? The inspector won't approve the inspection preventing us moving back into the home without this anti-tip-bracket in place. I called the manufacturer, GE, they don't have the part available until November due to back order issues, which I explained to the Lowe's manager, Charles. He said to hold on for a minute and that he would take a look into what was going on and call me back right away. He has not yet called me back... Also, when the refrigerator was installed and hooked up to the water a few days later it started leaking all over my new flooring. I called them to explain and do an exchange but they won't exchange anything until they have the fridge back in their possession and the fridge we had purchased at a discounted rate is longer in stock. They suggested we buy a new fridge at full price rather than wait because it could be weeks before we get a replacement fridge. read more

I will absolutely NEVER buy another appliance from Lowe's or recommend any friend/family member do so either. The first scheduled delivery I had for my refrigerator didn't go as planned when the delivery guys arrived and we found out our foyer opening was too small to go through. What was frustrating is the way these guys immediately didn't want to do their job the moment they stepped into our home. One of the men got his measuring tape out and was measuring the opening extremely crooked saying "Nope it won't fit" without even trying it.. So we asked for them to at least try (multiple times before they finally did) and that is when we found out it was too small. I completely understand that wasn't going to work. However, we do have back door access to the kitchen and both of these men wouldn't try AT ALL to deliver through our back door. We asked multiple times if my husband could help them lift the fridge if that was their concern, if we could remove the doors to help make it fit through the foyer, etc. and were COMPLETELY IGNORED. They just yelled at us constantly that nothing would work BUT THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY!! They continued to speak to each other in Spanish which I can understand saying "No that is too much work, let's not do that".. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received. They left the fridge in our living room and told me they would let their supervisor know they couldn't complete the job and that he would reach out to me that afternoon. I NEVER received a call. I then called Lowe's customer service for the store that I ordered from and was on hold for 45 minutes before it even went through to anyone and then was told that someone would call me back shortly. I waited over 2 hours for a call back.. The woman I spoke to was very apologetic which I appreciated. She informed me Lowe's uses a 3rd party delivery service and unfortunately sometimes the guys through those companies are not up to Lowe's standard. She offered to take 20% off the purchase price of the fridge for the terrible service I received and I really appreciated that. She then scheduled 4 other delivery men to come out and actually try taking the fridge through the back door. Unfortunately we would have to wait until the next week to get anyone out to our home.. We discussed all the details of the back entrance including a few stairs with a banister that would be a tight fit but would work. She suggested we remove the banister before the delivery men got there so there would be no excuses to not deliver. We prepped EVERYTHING as she suggested, including ripping off our entire railing on our staircase just so we could make sure this fridge would be delivered correctly. The morning the delivery men arrived I received no notice that they were on their way, they just showed up at our home so I had to scramble to put our dogs away and make sure everything was good to go. One of the men came inside and told me they were going to go through the foyer, even though they had VERY SPECIFIC instructions to go through the back door. I told him the previous guys tried and wouldn't fit and he cut me off asking if they removed the fridge doors. I said no but that they told me it still wouldn't fit and that is why we prepped the back entrance and made sure PRIOR to their arrival everything would fit through the doors as needed. He kept telling me no, that they were going to go through the foyer to which I replied, "I would rather you not and go through the back entrance as instructed". Before I could even finish my sentence he cut me off and said, "You're not a professional. Leave it to the professionals. I know what I'm doing." They all had the EXACT same attitudes as the previous delivery men. It was absolutely DISGUSTING and sexist behavior towards me. He had me get out of the way and they removed all the doors off the fridge to go through the foyer. GUESS WHAT? IT DIDN'T FIT.. And they scuffed/chipped the paint off my brand new walls trying to push it through. I furiously stepped away as they reluctantly prepped to go through the back entrance. They too, spoke to each other in Spanish to keep me out of the conversation, not knowing that I understand Spanish and decided to talk crap about the whole situation.. Again, disgusting and unprofessional behavior. They finally got the fridge through the back door after loads of complaining about having to do their job and put the doors back on. One of them asked me about the part for the water dispenser and I realized that the first delivery guys never gave me that part which I paid for. Thankfully they had an extra in their truck which I was grateful for and hooked it up and left. I was so grateful to finally have our fridge installed despite the horrible service we received by both delivery teams. So, so grateful for their kindness and patience today while I muddle thru home improvements that are beyond my normal scope. We ordered a refrigerator from the Tacoma Lowes. When the refrigerator was not delivered as promised I called the Tacoma store and talked to Amanda who hung up on me. She was rude and was not willing to help. So I called back and talked to her supervisor, Natalia who was also very rude. I explained that I am only trying to find out where and when it will be delivered to my tenant. She told me I had chase my own fridge down by calling the delivery company. She was not willing to call or help in any way. Not only does Lowes have Poor Customer service, but the delivery company they use, delivered the last fridge a day late last time as well. A great find for me this year was their lawn paper trashbags. I think you get 5 for under 3 dollars. I have a small patio/condo. I sit one of these out and put trimmings in them etc. Or, for a picknic... Lowes staff have always been good and helpful but. There is never enough employees working the floor. The first time I needed to get wood cut, this older man who helped me was cool for a while then told me he was too busy to help me finish the cuts. I get home and he cut everything the wrong length, completely wasted my money. Today I go back, I need some wood cut, lengths fortunately weren't a huge deal this time. SAME GUY tells me he's busy and has other things to do. He then tells me "didn't I tell you to invest in a saw" YOUR JOB IS TO HELP CUSTOMERS. I DO NOT APPRECIATE COMING IN AND SPENDING MY MONEY TO BE TREATED LIKE CRAP. I have so much stuff going on outside of Lowe's that the little help that I can get, for example cutting two sticks of wood for me, makes things a lot easier for the rest of my day. Horrible. I ordered a major appliance and the delivery was pretty frustrating (no communication, different answers from different people on when it would arrive, etc.). When it did come, it was defective. I tried and tried to get somebody on the phone who could process a return or have it repaired or really anything. I've called Tacoma Lowe's a million times and still can't even get anybody to answer my questions or tell me how to move forward. I took the time to go in and they were out to lunch. Out to lunch. Not in. Will call me back. Unavailable. Wrong person. Nobody answers the phone. Placed on hold a dozen times. Calls go unreturned multiple times. Customer service operator is curt or rude if, by the grace of God, anybody actually picks up the phone. It's really, really frustrating. I would HIGHLY advise going somewhere else for, really, anything. They are really, really bad and unresponsive. I've had this $1,000 broken appliance in my home for two weeks and still can't get anybody on the phone to answer a question, schedule a return, schedule a repair. Nothing. Don't do it. Not with Lowe's. Probably the worst customer service I've come across. Worse than Comcast. Really. It's a big box store and I don't usually frequent them, but we needed a new artificial Christmas tree. They had tons of them and the ad in the paper said 25% off. We were looking for a small one and when I asked a sales associate where they might be, she didn't know if there were any small ones in the store so we searched and then found some. Asked another associate if they were on sale, she didn't know but was willing to scan the bar code and turns out it was. While Lowes doesn't have everything, and many of their sales associates seem to not have a ton of knowledge about products. Perhaps they are seasonal hires. However, the man in front of us at the register said he was a vet my ears perked up. I offered my dependents ID card and while our phone number wasn't in the system, the cashier gave us the discount and said next time we should stop by customer service to make sure it was there. I always give an extra star for good customer service. read more

Are people who work with n your store exempt from wearing the proper face coverings? I witnessed two employees with face covers ( if that's what you would call it) worn under their nose . One employee n particular , had a lightweight face covering around his neck! This person also stood no farther than two feet from us in the checkout line! When I questioned this person about his mask and why he wasn't following the distance guidelines, he laughed and said, "I know". This virus is no joke. Unattended pick up desk for on-line orders for 20 minutes. Long lines for returns also. All hanged up at doors, making alarm go off. Alarm goes and goes and goes. No one on staff seems to notice. The gal at returns is working fast, feverishly and doing Covid protocols. When the staff member returns (late) from his lunch for On-Line Pick-Up he is wearing his mask with nose hanging over (like wearing underwear with penis hanging over top) probably not correct usage. A sign says everyone should wear CDC approved face covering. Then he takes people out of order. And doesn't wipe down his station between people. When I get to his station I mention mask and wipe-down protocol. He says he's "hot" and has "been hot all day." And he doesn't wipe down his station before attending lady ahead, or me. And he couldn't and wouldn't help or give me any ideas how to get my on-line order, which went to Seattle store. I want to make this Lowe's my go-to store but this flouting if protocols and lack of customer service at a customer service station is frustrating. It makes it hard for me to want to go back. We have people at risk of DYING if they get Covid but the guy was "hot," so I gues he should put all of my family at risk while he 1) takes a long lunch, 2) makes me wait 20 minutes, 3) in lines that cross-cross making social distancing impossible, 4) takes people out of turn, and 5) tops it off not able to do his job! read more

What a nice cashier Kimberly is? Not. Very rude . Will never go through front registers again. Not to. Be rude but there's others up front that are not at all friendly or helpful. Just a fuck you attitude. It's true. Garden is very nice, and lumber is always happy back there. Just some real bullshit at the front, even when I bought a bbq, they were put out,cause they had to unlock the BBQs outside. Really sad for the front of a store. read more

Ordered a dishwasher and install - installation services (subcontracted) were unacceptable. No communication, not showing up during agreed upon time period, and then not following up that they had canceled the installation. I wasted my time and coordinated time off work. You have a better chance of getting answers to the mysteries of the universe than getting help here. They have a culture of not helping customers and making it your problem. We went in looking for a patch of sod. Much to our dismay, they were sold out or at least had none under the sod tent. Upon entering the garden department we found one employee at the register who said she had no idea when it would come back in, nor could she really help because she wasn't allowed to leave her station nor had any way of looking it up. So instead she sends us inside to find this mythical "head cashier" who could supposedly fulfill our quest. After roaming the store and checking the register area we found no said creature. We made our way to customer service, waited in the a** backwards queue system, and watched 5 Lowes employees try to solve one customer's issue. Very a la 2001 A Space Odyssey. We were finally called up to a counter to speak with a customer service representative. Not to our surprise, we were told she couldn't help us with that problem and it should've been someone in the garden department to assist us instead; she had no way of knowing the answer to our question. So instead of someone being helpful and oh I don't know calling for assistance, we were left to our own devices. During the exterior remodel of our home we ordered our new front door from Lowe's. They came and measured and then put in the order and when it arrived the installer said the door wasn't cut properly. He installed it anyway, breaking our hardwood floors in the process. It took more than 9 months to get a new door ordered and installed and have the floor fixed. Lowe's was an absolute nightmare to work with. One of their assistant managers, Nick, gaslit and gave us the run around at every opportunity. We will never spend another dollar at a Lowe's store and encourage you to look elsewhere for your home improvement needs. read more

Lowe's has truly given up. On this visit there was not one cashier. Only self-check. I'm unsure how this location even stays in business. Home Depot literally has a full parking lot. This place is empty. read more

I'm a general contractor & have been shopping here for years. The floor staff is more prevalent & knowledgable than that of Home Depot. Another benefit of Lowes is that they don't have those bloody self-check-out terminals, which I absolutely detest. Lowes seems to just care more about its customers than pleasing corporate shareholders. If I had to dispense with a gripe, I'd say that Lowes needs to pay more heed the plight of its customers. Case-in-point, I've been telling the managers of various locations to start carrying the DeWalt FlexVolt line, which it has yet to do... I'd wager that the majority of negative reviews, claiming poor Customer Service, could be attributed to being disgruntled because their returns were rejected due to suspicious circumstance(s). In fact, the Lowe's Return Policy is more lenient than Home Depot's. read more
