I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. Purchased a washer and dryer here on July 8. We finally had no choice but to return the pair yesterday July 22. Worse experience from start to finish!!! No employees on the floor on day of purchase- we, along with 2 other customers had to wait over 30 minutes just to get help. We purchased and were given a delivery date. On that day- July 10, We weren't able to get it hooked up because the sales associate DID NOT INFORM US of the essential additional accessories needed for install. It sat in our garage. Since the store does not pick up the phone, I had to drive there to reschedule the install and purchase the accessories. Very inconvenient. After being told the managers were busy, I was able to speak with one because she needed him to override something. He comped my accessories right away and I was pleasantly surprised but satisfied. I was given another install date of July 19. Why so long? Because it is "out of stock"and is coming from Dallas. Mind you, this is a date you need to be available for ALL DAY LONG, because they give you a 4-8 hr time window. On this day July 19, they cut the boxes open and we discovered BOTH dryers were severely dented. We obviously refused them, but the delivery guys wouldn't take it back without a ticket. I call the store. NO ANSWER. Great. So....A THIRD trip to the store. Did an exchange and was told everything was taken care of. Lady helping looked like she did not want to be there. Dark purplish hair and did not smile once. Spoke briefly with the same manager. No date given this time. We were told we'd get a call. ** crickets ** crickets ** ..umm, so, 3 days later, no delivery auto call. I call the delivery number and spoke to 3 different people. Give them my info- all said THERE WAS NO DELIVERY SCHEDULED. GREAT! 3 major eff ups on One purchase. Can't get better than that!! I shoot an email to one of the manager explaining the situation and ask him to CALL ME. Anyway, 45 mins later, one of the very nice agents calls me back. He was able to get me on schedule and gives me a date of 7/22. This is not a convenient date, but I have no choice. By the way, the manager still has not replied or answered to my email! Yesterday, 7/22 the new washer and dryer were delivered. They were dented. Also, the man refused to hook up anyway, because he said our pipes are bad. The second delivery guy looked at it and was ready to go until we saw the damage- so why is this guy telling us he can't do it? This was the last straw. We asked him to TAKE ALL FOUR units back on his truck. Refused the delivery and today I am going Back to the store to waste a 4th day of my life. To make sure they did their job in canceling the order- because I do NOT TRUST THEM. We are store card holders since 2005. We have bought every single appliance in our home from Lowe's. This incident guarantees WE WILL NEVER PURCHASE HERE EVER AGAIN!! read more

I had a list for my landscape makeover. (Had previously chatted with an associate on line to see if Lowe's would cut my electrical conduit to size and they told me they did).When I located a Lowe's employee he asked me what size conduit I needed and told him 2 pieces 10 ft ..He wished me good luck getting out of the store with them. I told them I was told by his main office that they would be able to cut them for me. He informed me they don't do that and if main office told me that.....to let them cut them for me ! If i could give them zero stars I would. let me see were do I start? Well went to lowes this morning to buy some door sweeps (5 In total)and some 10/24 screws. Got the stuff that I needed (customer service was o.k compared to home depot but that is a diffrent story.) And went about my business. Noticed that I no longer needed 4 of the door sweeps,since I went ahead and ordered one on amazon and decided to keep 3 of the door sweeps and return the screws as well as I had recieved excellent customer service from Bob's hardware store from a knowledgable associate that took the time to actually explain what I needed. So after being on cloud 9 after leaving Bob's hardware store reality kicks in when I step up to the customer service booth back at Lowes. As I gave the associate my reciept she has a strange look on her face. So I ask is there something wrong , and she replies "yes of the door sweeps that I was returning I did not get charged for instead the cashier charged me for some type of rotary and an extra door sweep. I was like ok no problem I would just like to recieve a refund on the things I am reurning making no big issue on the cashier's error of the extra charges. Well instead of getting an I am sorry for the mistake, what does that nice little white girl tell the dirty looking mexican with tattoos, " well sir you were undercharged, she did not charge you for 2 of the door sweeps." And she made it a point to MAKE SURE THAT I WAS UNDERCHARGED FOR 2 DOOR SWEEPS THAT WERE NOT ON MY RECIEPT!!! THAT WAS NOT MY PROBLEM ALL I WANTED WAS A SIMPLE REFUND AND MAKE AN EXCHANGE FOR ONE OF THE DOOR SWEEPS. She made me feel horrible for being honest. All in all I felt degraded, like the first time I heard my teacher say 'AWW your english is so good.' Even though I had bought these things in the morning and TOLD them TO check the video I came out of there feeling hurt by the associates obvioius disgust with spanish people. Maybe it was the fact that I don't have an accent, or that I did not need someone to translate whatever the case may be I maintained my dignity apologized for the confusion and when I recieved my reciept and was allowed to leave by her approved dismissal " you can Go" I left with a smile and thank you. My wife & I walked into the store last Tuesday in desperate need of a new washer dryer combo, all started when the 'sales person' Ha, told us the firs two sets we selected that where displayed "are not available, can't get them", so we asked "what is in stock here in your store that can be delivered tomorrow.....we ended up buying a set for approx $1900 & told "someone will call you this evening with a delivery time. The next day at 2:00 PM I called because Lowe's had Not called, was told " sorry the order was cancelled, oh never mind our fault we will return-enter the order, la bla bla, I drove to the store very upset & spoke with a 'manager' who was unprofessional, un-educated, oblivious to customer service & basically offered NO HELP at all, even had the nerve to say ' have a nice day as I walked away, Delivery was 2-days late, the delivery jerks hooked up the washer wrong (cold & hot water reversed) & I had already hauled off my old units but paid for Loses to complete- told sorry you should have let us do it like you requested! We visited this store yesterday. We had a basketful of items but when the last item rang up, it was $15 more than it had been marked. The product was a mailbox that is screwed in to a shelf with a price tag below it. When we questioned the difference, an employee from hardware came to the register, scanned it with his iPhone, and told us the higher price was correct. He said it had probably been misplaced. When we told him it was screwed in to the display, he indicated that it didn't matter, the price was the higher one. Needless to say, we asked the cashier to just cancel the basket of items and we left to get everything at Home Depot. There was another employee in Hardware who got us a box from the top shelf who seemed rather irritated with our request. The checker, though, was very pleasant and apologetic. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Better luck going to Home Depot across the street. Ordered an LG refrigerator and the delivery drivers unboxed and had it ready to go. Two weeks later we ordered a matching dishwasher. The drivers delivered it and just dumped it by our door. Didn't open it to inspect or anything. Called Lowes and was treated very rudely by the delivery department as well as the assistant manager. Will be loading up the dishwasher to return and will give my business to Home Depot. I was also told by the delivery department they would take the old dishwasher with them. The drivers said they did not do that. If you are smart, I would avoid this location at all costs. Do not ever do business with this store. They are incredibly dishonest. We hired them to do some work on my father's house since we don't live in Houston. They did not do all of the work they were contracted for, yet still charged us for it all. For instance, we paid them several thousand dollars to replace the baseboards and casements throughout the house. This work was not performed, yet we were still charged for it. To top it all off, they left all of the materials sitting in the garage. Appliances were not installed and left sitting in the middle of the room, despite the fact we were charged for installation. House was a disaster when they were finished and they did not clean up. The contractors also threw a bunch of trash over the back fence and damaged the back fence in the process, then denied they did that (I don't think some random strangers came in and did it). They have so far refused to refund our money for any of this, so we're going to need to hire an attorney to try to recover some of the thousands of dollars we were charged when work was not performed. Manager said all the right things, but never followed through on any of it. I spend lots of money on home improvement projects, but will never shop at this or any other Lowe's again. They have lost a customer for life. read more

Today I went to Lowe's Hardware looking for chairs for my patio table. I immediately found what I wanted. Even better, they were on sale. I wanted to buy 6 of them. I asked 2 sales people to help me lift them onto a cart. Both said they were on break. Finally a customer helped me load the chairs and I went to the very long line at the register. When they rang them up I noticed that they were not sale priced. The cashier told me to bring me the sign saying they were on sale. I said that I didn't want to lose my place in the 30 minute line and asked if he could have a sales person check on that. After waiting and waiting no one responded to the checker. Finally he paged someone by name. They told me that those were contractor prices and that I needed to buy six chairs. That was the number I had. They went on to tell me that I was not a contractor I had to pay full price. I went and paid the additional $140. for not being a contractor but left angry. As a 68 year old lady I wrestled the chairs to get them into the car. Once again a customer came to my rescue. My point is why do they have these fake sales? I would understand contractor prices for building materials but not furniture. I did notice too that the staff does not value the customer. They were rude, not helpful, and did not provide any customer service. read more

Website says they close at 9pm. I was there at 8:35 pm and as I am walking into the store with a crying baby in my hand she tells the employee ahead of me to hurry up so she can lock the door in front of me. I tell her he website says the store closes at 9 pm. I pull out my phone and before I can show her she turns to walk away. This is in front of another employee. This is beyond bad customer service. If one employee sees another being rude they should intervene. I even called the store to speak to someone and the woman on the phone could only say we're closed. She was at least not rude to me like he other girl. But in the absence of opening the door, there are several better courses of action to deescalate a situation am rather than pissing off a customer because you don't know how to act. 1. Get the store manager 2. Just let the customer get the item they needed (I even mentioned I was a flood victim and just needed one item!!), 3. Politely tell them the cash register has already been closed and transactions can no longer be made. 4. Anything other than turning your back and walking away. As a flood victim who will have to rebuild not only my home, but also my life, I will not be using Lowes for any of my future purchases. I will tell everyone I know about the tactless and ignorant employees that work for this store. You always have a choice in life. The two employees who closed, locked the door, and literally turned their backs on a flood victim (when their store should have been opened) have chosen who they want to be in life. I work hard. I could have taken the week off due to taking 29" of water in my home but I worked - I even worked each day over Labor Day weekend. May these people get treated in life as they have treated others. I guess I am just astounded by their egregious behavior because it is not often one encounters such bold rudeness. When you wear the blue vest, you represent the company. TL;DR Lowes was supposed to be open, but decided to close their doors early to a Hurricane Harvey flood victim the weekend directly following the flood in the rudest way. read more

I have always enjoyed the service offered at Lowes but was very disappointed with the customer service I received today at this store. As I was trying to return a faulty tool box I purchased here I was told to speak to the department manager named Waine who was very rude. After I explained what was wrong and that I did not have the receipt his response was to throw the box back in my cart and said "this is yours!" and just walked away without any further explanation. The other store clerk just appoligized for him stating "thats just the way he is". BUYER BE AWARE! As a contractor who spends over a quarter of a million dollars a year at big box type home improvement stores I can tell you that you are way way better off shopping at Home Depot. Many of my fellow contractors are passing lowes and driving to Home Depot. Lowes has not only gone down hill in categories like stocking shelves, carrying needed product and customer service but now they claim to have changed their return policy. As a contractors or do it your self home owner you have probably had to run to lowes in the middle of a project to get some more trim boards or a few more 2x4s. What ever you needed. Maybe you put the receipt in your pocket. Your working, sweating. Hey it's Texas. You better do one of two things. Ether make sure you don't buy any extra or don't ruin or loose that receipt because lowes will not give you anything but bad attitude without a receipt. No store credit so you can fix that leaking faucet. Nothing no nada. Well except make you feel like your a criminal because no normal person ruins or looses a receipt. if you go to the return desk and look on the wall the return policy has not changed. Well at least the writing on the wall hasn't changed. I actually know some of the upper management in this region and will be demanding answers. If I get any I will share. This is the worst place on earth. I ordered a door a week ago and it was supposed to be delivered ($65 fee) the next night. That was Friday. Today is Wednesday and that door was supposed to be delivered every single night since then and just never comes. I have spoken to customer service, the store managers and numerous employees about this. I've even had a call from their third party delivery people directly telling me that I was basically out of luck and was extremely rude. Yesterday I was fed up and I told the manager, Chris, that I was going to come down there at 8 pm if I didn't have my door so I could speak to him face to face. For some reason I guess he was scared/embarrassed so he ducked me. He had his staff tell me and the customer service reps at the 1-800 number that he was at lunch. Apparently he takes lunch from 8 to 9 pm. Even though they close at 9 pm. So it's a week later and I still have no door. I have escalated this to go above store level but still I have to wait 24 hours to get that call. I can get this door at Home Depot I'm sure with a lot less hassle. But at this point it is just a matter of principle. read more

We were stopping in Lowe's from out of town to make a payment on our Lowes card, we proceeded to wait in line at "customer service" where There were 3 to 5 customer service agents within the hour we waited, no one made verbal or visual contact with us. We left the "customer service" and went to A check out station and asked to make a payment. They told us to go to the "customer service" we proceeded to tell them that there were five "customer service" individuals over there and none had made any attempt to assist us. The excuse will be that Lowes was very busy, I will tell you it is busy because you have staff who are not working and spending more time talking amongst themselves and not assisting the customers. The store manager needs to do a lot of work on instilling customer service skills with their employees internally and externally. I do not blame The staff members because clearly they have been told or shown that this behavior is acceptable. I will never come back to this Lowe's again and I'm sure if your staff, especially the "customer service" staff is treating customers this way less and less people will be coming to this Lowe's. read more
