Would give less than one star if I could!!!!! My experience with Lowe's has been absolutely unacceptable from beginning to end!!!!! Our refrigerator was delivered damaged more than a month ago. The following week, it took over two hours just to reach someone and arrange a replacement. We selected a different, less-expensive model, but the associate never confirmed the correct product and apparently never completed the replacement order or delivery request. My wife and I then spent another two hours trying to reach someone. We finally connected with a call-center representative who was extremely helpful, but all he could do was leave notes asking the local store to correct the problem. The correct refrigerator was eventually ordered and scheduled for delivery--but nobody informed me. I received no phone call, text, or email, despite being a Lowe's Plus member. I learned about the Tuesday delivery only after calling during my lunch break and driving to the store. I normally schedule deliveries on weekends because of work, but I was told I would have to take time off because Lowe's scheduled it for a weekday without consulting me. I spoke with manager Lester Close, explained everything Lowe's had put us through, and asked him to call after the refrigerator was delivered so we could discuss an appropriate resolution. He assured me he would call the following day. The refrigerator was delivered last Tuesday, and that call never came. I have now spent another week trying to reach him, including more than two additional hours on the phone. I have been hung up on multiple times and have received no meaningful assistance from the local store. To make matters worse, I purchased an extended warranty for the original refrigerator. I was still charged for that warranty even though I did not receive one for the replacement refrigerator. This has involved a damaged appliance, multiple ordering failures, an unannounced weekday delivery, hours upon hours on hold, repeated disconnections, an unfulfilled promise from management, and an unresolved warranty charge. The call-center representative was the only person who made a genuine effort to help. Lowe's needs to contact me, correct the warranty issue, and provide appropriate compensation for the extensive time, inconvenience, and missed work its failures have caused. Being a Lowe's Plus member clearly did not result in better communication or service. I would strongly caution others against purchasing a major appliance from this location. read more

Lowes is like dealing with one large bot. We naively ordered an appliance that offered free installation. Well....many, many phone calls, texts and emails later we've learned it will take a month to get it installed. Calling the store means listening to the phone ring and ring. The phone number for the installer doesn't take messages. Next time we'll work with a local plumber and let them order it. read more

Peter helped me out with missing hardware for some blinds and really did more than required. Much appreciated. Lumber tends to be ok. Most things tend to be in stock except for the gloves I wear are always out in XL, I think their inventory tells them they are in stock and the never see the empty spot on the shelf. Last year when I was attempting to get flooring the same issue arose, the computer suggested what I needed was already in stock, so when I ordered it, it took an extra month to transfer to the store after the delivery date. DO NOT under any circumstances order ANYTHING to be delivered by Lowe's. An order of mine was marked delivered. It was not. The driver left a picture of the supposed delivery, but it was clear the goods were still in his truck. Were they delivered to the wrong address, stolen by the driver, pitched into an Arroyo? Who knows? What is do know that I have been over the course of a week been left holding an hour or more and as I write this I've been listening to hold music after being moved around by 4 different operators for an hour and a half. What in the H.E. double hockey sticks is going on here! Since my initial review a few years ago this place went from a palace to a dumpster fire! I hardly know where to start so hold on ... There is apparently a huge problem with theft in the home improvement stores in Santa Fe, because they now have this place locked up tighter than Alcatraz! Everything I needed was locked behind metal grates. Power tools, fittings, you name it. When it was time to leave there was one lady working the self checkout area, but working it wouldn't exactly be the right word, as she had a chair against the wall by the exit doors and sat there scrolling on her phone. There are usually a few employees there to help clear error codes off the screens of the self checkout registers, or help scan items as needed but this grandma wasn't having any of that nonsense. Nope, she sat there ignoring everybody until somebody walked over to her and asked her for help with the register. Then it was a huge sigh of exasperation as she hauled herself to her feet and walked over to take a look with irritation radiating from her. Like sorry to ask you to do your job lady! When it was my turn to check out she had to scan half the stuff in my cart to deactivate it so it wouldn't trip the theft alarm as I walked out. Right down to the eight dollar paintbrush I got. I mean how bad is it that you have to set your exit alarm to go off over a paintbrush?? So here I am, at the end of an exhausting shopping trip in the most depressing Lowe's ever. You'd think I'd be done right? Wrong. I am ready to go. I've concluded my trip with the following items: A voltage meter, paint, drill, paint sticks, paint key, decking nails, Pink Stuff patching putty, light switch plates and various other items. More than a few things to juggle, but that's what I am doing, as this particular hardware store has run completely out of bags. What the heck??? I mean you go to Lowe's, you tend to buy a lot of things for your projects. So now here I am bumping all this stuff across the parking lot to put it in the back of my car where it can scatter to the four corners of the earth with the first turn out of the parking lot. I made an appointment for 2:30pm today (7/24) to talk to a countertop specialist ( earlier in the week when I went in the store I was told countertop consult was by appointment only). My plan was to spend about $3500 on a butcher block countertop order for my kitchen. I arrived at 2:25pm and the young lady was meeting with a man and woman. I patiently sat at a seat at the desk next to hers, it was obvious I was waiting for her. At no time, by 2:55pm, did she acknowledge me and say she was running late and would be with my as soon as she could. As well, it was looking like there was no end in sight in her meeting with the couple. So, I left and went to Home Depot instead! As it turns out I can buy what I want there for about half the price! And the clerk was very courteous. On top of this, a couple of months ago I bought a dryer at Lowes. The Clerk sold me what he said were needed items to go with it. When the dryer was delivered the installer said I was given/sold the wrong items. So I returned them. Seems like I've made more than a few needless trips to Lowe's. Just had a horrible experience with Lowes because they refused to refund , for an item that goes a day beyond 90 day return period. I was past the return date by less than a month and they will not refund or give me store credit even though they could see I had purchased the item. Im finished with Lowes and will not buy another item from them unless I cannot find a simular item somewhere else. Not a good place to go for building materials by any means. Inventory is lacking basic everyday items, they are more into boutique type merchandise. The employees are few and those that are there are uninterested, untrained and ignorant of the products they sell or even where to find them in the store. The online service is the absolute worst. In three years trying to order online not a single order has gone right. Wrong part, damaged part, missing order in the store, and despite order confirmation, "No Order Found" on their website. If you call, and somebody tripped over the phone by accident and answers "They Know Nothing, know nothing." Many are too young to remember when Lowe's was an employee owned store and it was the best retail outlet around. Whoever owns them now is just sucking it dry from what we can tell. read more

I recently came "back" to Lowe's after leaving Horrid Depot. My experience is that Lowe's has really turned things around for the positive. My calls have been answered in a timely manner and transferred correctly. I want to give a shout out to Emily in the appliance department who recently assisted me in my purchase of several appliances. Emily was such a pleasure to work with: kind, thoughtful, thorough, and efficient! The contracted appliance delivery service operated by Joe Sanchez is top-notch and professional. Not a scratch on my appliances! In the paint department, Jose and Emiliano have been very kind and attentive in helping me with my projects. They have actually walked me to the location of the stocked product. I hope this message also serves as an all-around kudos and appreciation to all other staff members at Lowe's whom I've interacted with recently and haven't personally named. PS, Lowe's beat Horrid Depot's prices for the same appliances. Lowe's definitely has my business! read more

I purchased a complete new kitchen and spent about $30,000. I can't explain how ridiculous it has been. We ordered last August, 2023 and still dont have the cutlery drawer. We had the stove re ordered 3 x, the cabinets were done incorrectly and redone and I spent 8 visits to the store alone. No one stays and no one follows through. In March we finally got our Bosh induction cooktop and I called because it is defective and after everything I ve been through with the hell they have put us through they say; you must have dropped something on it. Well we didn't and not only that if you see it you can see it was a crack in the corner and nothing is above it and by the way I was out of town and just got back from Europe so guess what your wrong. Also one of the burners doesn't work at all and I only know that because i had a house sitter the last few weeks and she tried to use it. So now I have a drawer still missing, a cabinet that I have accepted even though it was not what i ordered, a under sink cabinet that instead of being 36 in they ordered a 30 inch with 2 3" spacers because they are so stupid. I was promised i would have everything by Thanksgiving the latest after they apologized for all the mistakes, Well Thanksgiving came and went and we had to go out to dinner ( which they said they would compensate us for--still nothing) Then it never got here for Christmas, NO oven or cook top for Christmas- Really???? Are you kidding??? They ordered so many things wrong and if I hadnt checked i would have still been waiting for my stove/microwave combination. However i was politely apologized to and when I told the nice lady on the phone that I got the wrong manuel for my microwave /stove they promised to send me the right one, Yes I figured most of it out but it would be nice to really know what i am doing. So order in August and first week of September and here we are in May 2024 and every 2 weeks I get a call saying we are still working on your order! This store should close down it is absolutely incompetant and I need a new bosh cooktop ( and I paid for the insurance for 3 years--- will it take 3 years to say oH we will fix it but your insurance has run out???) This project has cause so much personal stress and we were so excited to get a new kitchen. Its unbelievable. The Santa Fe Lowe's is the worst managed store between Albuquerque and Española. The outside garden center shelves are empty with employees playing on their phones. The inside store is always in disarray and run chaotically. Perfect example of how not to operate a store. Home Depot is far better managed and well stocked meeting consumers needs. Not the place to shop for a lawn mower. The best the clerks could do is say "I don't know" to questions regarding the product, warranty, and availability. Never got to speak to the manager we requested, and were encouraged to go elsewhere to look for the product. Gave up on that and went to get a water filter. The one I needed wasn't on display. I waited for the clerk to ask if she could look and see if they had it on inventory - she rolled her eyes and while looking away said she was "busy" and pointed towards an isle two rows down from where I was sat "look over there." THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! I ordered and paid for a stove that they had in stock and scheduled a delivery date. When that date came, I got a text that it would come two weeks later. In two weeks I got another text that it would two more weeks. This continued through seven delivery dates over a 2 1/2 month period. I finally canceled the order and got a stove somewhere else. Upon cancellation, the reason given was "item out of stock". I was never informed that the item was out of stock nor offered any different option. They don't seem to know what they are doing there and it's impossible to get a straight answer from customer service. If I could give a zero star review, I would. Disaster averted thanks to Sean and the hardworking folks at the Santa Fe Lowes. There we were, unsuspecting, and living our best life; when WHAM! Our fridge goes down. Scramble time for sure. After some shopping we found the fridge of our dreams. But there was a problem, it wasn't in Albuquerque it was in Santa Fe. So, we had my dad go to pick it up. This was a complicated affair involving broken printers, shut down accounts and telephone payments. But we persevered and with the help of Sean and Daryl we were able to save our prized left over lasagna before it went bad. Kudos. And thanks again! read more

Let the buyer beware! We needed a fridge so I ordered one online from Lowe's. No problem, I thought, it will be delivered on Sunday (what?). Because the order was important (a refrigerator) I stopped by the Customer Service desk a couple days later to check on the order when I was in the store for other supplies. "Your order was cancelled." Why, I asked, and why wasn't I notified? "Don't know. Looks like it was cancelled by the store manager because we didn't have stock. You should have received an email." I didn't get an email. I asked for the manager . . . not here today but you can speak to someone else. They were kind enough to take another order for the same product but couldn't tell me when I would get it, maybe in a week. So, to summarize this one-star review: - Lowe's online order system is poor. It lied about stock, wouldn't give correct status, and my order status was never clear or correct. - Lowe's customer service people are nice but helpless - I tried to call the store, approximately 6 times: endless ring, on hold forever, hung up on three times, a huge waste of my time. - I was never able to make contact with the manager of this store In the end I received the refrigerator, about a week after the "in store re-order", but not without a great amount of wasted time, frustration, and poor communication. I think I will not shop at this Lowe's ever again, and I'm sorry about that because Home Depot is the other poor choice. I wish that I didn't have to write this, but ,must! I tried to return a few items yesterday , in original packaging which had never been used. I found these things as I was cleaning out my storage shed . I hoped to get a store credit to apply to a future purchase. The total was maybe $ 20.00, I didn't have a receipt nor did I have the original credit card( we have had so much fraud on our credit card that the bank has replaced our card several times this year) Unfortunately the new cards don't show older purchases . Lowe's has always been my go-to store before I moved to Santa Fe. Currently waiting on over $1000 worth of construction purchases ordered on a Saturday with next day delivery for $149. Never happened. Near impossible to speak to someone at the store. I figured out to choose 'curbside pickup' gets you through to speak to someone, who is rude, unhelpful and hangs up on you. Says they don't do same or next day delivery and that delivery orders are fulfilled by third party! Asked for refund of $149 and she refused. Said not Lowe's issue. Tried a second time to talk to a manager, got hung up on again. Main customer service line says the store won't answer when they try to call them!! Tells you to visit the store in person! When a company receives an order over $1k, assigns a "delivery date" more than a week away, and then informs you less than 24 hours before delivery that they don't deliver to your zip code on that day of the week, after you have rescheduled work and lost income: this company is arrogant and could care less about its customers. My zip code was in the order. Lowes had no business assigning a delivery date they had no intention of filling. Did it mess up your income and schedule? Your loss, loser. You confirmed that you're a loser the moment you trusted Lowe's with an order over $1k. Have been trying to call the Santa Fe local store for 2 hours and after 15 minutes being on hold, Lowes system hangs up while on hold. This company cares about your cash. Went today to exchange two propane tanks. I took my tanks near the cages outside where the replacements are located. I went in and quickly paid for the exchanges. Cashier told me to go outside and wait for someone. I did, and waited 40 minutes. Finally gave up, went inside and got a refund. Ridiculous. Now during my wait, a couple of rank and file employees noticed, and tried to help. They announced three time on intercom for "assistance needed with propane". Apparently, only the manager has a key. Today was my last trip ever to this Lowe's. It's always disorganized. Often products are not where the website claims they will be. And the employees only seem interested in playing with the merchandise, not helping customers. However, if that's all it was, I would be able to handle it. Anyone who has spent much time in Santa Fe knows that customer service is a rather abstract concept in town. What made me swear that I would never return is that they had only ONE full-service checkout line open. There is a pandemic going on and, while most retailers are doing what they can to speed up the process of checking out, Lowe's is doing the exact opposite. I counted 16 customers waiting in that one line. Lowe's had a very successful first quarter in 2020. They can certainly afford to hire more employees - or at the very least, have the employees who are on duty man the registers instead of screwing around in the garden center or playing with the power tools. DO NOT PURCHASE CARPET FROM THIS STORE! Installers no call no show, had to call just to be told my job was CANCELED!!!!! They decided not to use the installers scheduled and did not notify us! The installers arrived a week later and half way through the job they inform us our carpet is actually 2 colors sewn together! Lowes never inspected the carpet before shipping it! Now we will have to wait another month to get the new carpet. Our house will be delayed for sale because of this. They have done nothing to rectify the situation. read more

Called the store, was told it was a " third party" that does delivery and they could not contact them. Said they didn't have a way to call them. (Please!) They refuse to process an online order or fulfill a delivery. I have placed an order and they have continuously no call and no showed when i paid for and scheduled delivery.
