Super super expensive for so-so plants that often don't survive. You can do better elsewhere.

Most recently my young daughters also enjoyed their first visit here (5/29/2023). The place has changed significantly since the last time I had been there. There is still free parking. Mostly friendly staff - however, I don't remember paying in different areas in the same building. Speaking of buildings, there are several... The newest is one for glass blowing where classes are also offered. That sounds neat. In other buildings are the following: rugs, gifts (art, clothing, jewelry, bags, etc.) and home decor, and furniture. There is also a garden nursery in front of the main buiding in addition to pottery, sculptures, and water fountains of all sizes. I've never been to the location in Albuquerque. The difference between the two locations is that Santa Fe has the Mercado merchants from all around the world - South America, South Asia, Thailand, Nepal, Mexico, and beyond. We bought items from both the Andean Village Arts and Martz Imports. The pricing is confusing at times. Some items aren't clearly marked or not at all. Other items I found to be a bit steep. I'll be back again as long as I can help it.

They announced a summer camp sign-up that was very early this year, but I was ready at 8am on the Saturday morning it went live--only to discover that because my daughter had attended the previous years, her profile was out of date and we couldn't register her for a camp in the age group that she was in now. I emailed their new director--who does not seem as on the ball as the old manager--and she promised that she would look into the situation and get back to me within a week to see if the glitch could be resolved. Two weeks later, I had to email her to remind her, at which point the entire camp was filled up, of course. It was like we'd never spoken before. Really unprofessional, and it's left me scrambling for summer camp options at the last minute. Doubt we'll return, unless they hire back the old manager, who was also great with the kids.

She is a gardener, and has chickens and was SO excited to plant an (adult) orchard, as she intended to donate fruit to food-insecure families alongside the 4-6 dozen eggs we donate to a nonprofit working on this each week. The company has you pay extra for them to plant the trees, then guarantees them for one year. They planted our adult fruit trees WAY TOO deep, so deeply in fact, that they are suffocating. They will die in a couple of years after never producing, save for one tree. My wife called, emailed and otherwise tried to talk to this company starting over a year ago (the trees were planted in late 2024), in order to ensure she was doing EVERYTHING right, every single season. And she has -- she has taken perfect care of these trees. The two women who work at this company act as gatekeepers, preventing the owner from ever talking to anyone. They are incredibly RUDE. They mischaracterize phone conversations, say things that aren't true, and today, they blamed us for being past the year warranty, when THEY are the professionals, and THEY planted the trees WRONG. They said they would do nothing, and hung up on us. We are getting an attorney asap. We have lost $4000, were treated horribly this entire time, and even worse today. My wife is devastated. The "possible" fix for this dying orchard costs nearly $3000. This company has apparently been sued before, more than once. This explains why the employees are so rude and unhelpful. They know this. They blamed US for the trees being planted too deep. It is HORRIFYING. We lost almost two years of growth and possible production from all this. There are no words for how awful this company is. We will see them in court. Do NOT purchase trees from this company.
