There's a reason this store has only 2 stars. Be careful. I bought a Kohler standby generator for over $15k. Lowe's had a subcontractor (Nexus Electric) install it. What should have taken 2-3 days took 5 weeks. Their subcontractor went out of business before the job was completed but their electrician kept showing up to try to figure out and complete the installation. He properly connected the generator to our panel but lacked knowledge about and experience with Kohler generators. Nexus wasn't certified to install Kohlers. Their electrician couldn't figure out how to properly set up the battery. On his last day here (when he admitted he wasn't coordinating his efforts or hours with Lowe's and I asked him to leave) he yelled "Go back to California!" Lowe's had a certified installer from Washington Electric finish the job and financially compensated me for this unpleasant experience but in my opinion their compensation wasn't enough. I've left out details of my experience in the interest of brevity, but take my word, Lowe's dropped the ball numerous times. Bottom line: BEWARE. read more

I came here to allow Lowe's to redeem themselves. To keep the story short, they didn't. I came to find a new front door, and there wasn't anyone available to help us. I pinged for an associate to come help my family and I. We waited for ten minutes, heard the ping over the PA that we needed help, then I saw an associate pass us, so I called for help. When I called to this particular person, he told me "I can't I've got to help someone else." didn't try to find someone to help me but just kept walking away. I walk down the aisle to find someone else and I find Alex who is in windows and helps us. We learn that the door we saw online isn't actually available to buy for unknown reasons. So we go to see if we can spend our gift card on something else. As we walk down the aisle I find the guy that blew us off, he doesn't offer his help he sees me and my family but instead of saying "hey sorry about that, how can I help you", or "sorry man did you need help?"walks off to talk to a fellow associate. That honestly let me know all I needed to know about this place. We wait in the check out line Turns out the gift card they sent us didnt work so we needed to wait in another line to check out, making the gift card more of a pain to use. I will never buy anything from this company again. I just bought a washer and it stopped working after less than a month. Now they won't replace it saying that we would have had to bring it back within 48 hours for a replacement. This is the second time that an appliance has broke down shortly after purchase. read more

Horrible customer service. I don't know what happened as it used to be a good store. I wanted some flooring installed. They came to measure but never sent the estimate. Weeks went by and we kept getting repeating calls about when to install. Left a message with "Shaun" there's no estimate but he never returned the call. Finally spoke to him and told him we never got the estimate so he abruptly puts me on hold without an apology or any explanation or simply asking if it was okay. It was rude and unprofessional. I hung up I was busy. If you need flooring go elsewhere as the company they use can't get their act together. Can't trust them now to follow through. read more

We just bought a house with no refrigerator, and stopped at Lowe's to see what they had. We worked with Tracee, who was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. She worked hard, and found the sale priced model we wanted despite the system showing them sold out. Beau also helped out, and was also very helpful and friendly. Seriously absolutely terrible. Let me tell you the bad things and the one shining light of the whole situation. First of all I went in to buy only one part and should have only taken 5 minutes or less. But instead I ended up wasting 30 minutes of my time and ended up walking out due to the lack of knowledge and underpromised helped. First of all, I only need a faucet part. I ended up looking at the parts and couldn't find anyone in the area to help me. I noticed after 5 minutes that other people were doing the same thing. Finally a lady ended up walking out of the area to find help and ended up finding Keith. Keith ended up helping her and took about 5 minutes. So after patiently waiting now 10 minutes, I asked Keith when he was done with the nice lady if he could help me out for a minute. He ended up telling me that he would call somebody over here on the certain aisle to help me out. After patiently waiting 15 minutes with no one even remotely stopping by. I ended up walking up to Katt to see if she could help me. Waited another 5 minutes and no ONE. Holy crap still terrible service. Ended up running into Donald who seemed to be a manager, who was on the phone and I asked very strongly since I haven't been helped at all to get help. He stated that he would send somebody over to help me. I said very strongly that, that response didn't help out 25 minutes ago. Finally the one shining light. LAUREN. Lauren had no experience in plumbing but her brother was a plumber. She text him and called him for answers. We ended up sending pictures to her brother and still her brother wasn't there so he couldn't answer any of the questions with confidence. I sincerely thanked Lauren even though I wasn't able to be professionally helped. I ended up walking out of the store and went to Ace Hardware where I was helped within minutes of walking in. Found my part and was happy. Even though Lauren didn't help me! SHE WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO COMPLETELY TRY AND HELP ME. The others were absolutely terrible. Donald on the phone on the sales floor in a camo vest and not helping at all (Dismissed me like I was nothing). Keith who lied about sending anybody to come and help me, especially if he was just done helping somebody else out. Plus I patiently waited the entire time while Keith was helping out the nice lady. Katt was honest and said she didn't know anything about Plumbing and would send somebody. Honestly LAUREN who went over and beyond to help, but still couldn't. I can 100% appreciate the help. Sometimes times are tough but seriously don't say you are going to help and not come through. I wasted so much of my time while I had groceries in the car thawing out. I'm seriously mad about how the LOWES organization treated me. I'm pretty much done spending money there unless I seriously have too. I wanted to give negative stars because of the lack of service. But I'm giving two stars only because of Lauren who went out of her way to call and text her brother to try and help and solve my problem. They have a 48 hour return policy, which means if you, like us, have your stove almost cause an electrical fire in your home before dying completely - less than 2 months after purchase, you are out of luck. Lowe's customer service does not care about you or your circumstances. They will take no responsibility for the fact that they sold you a defective, dangerous appliance. I purchased 12 window (Milgard) sales man, Keith was great. no issues there. Lowes uses PSG sub contractor to contract out to. NO one measured my trim for the window, i had to and send in to get right trim, stained myself picked up trim still missing trim was supposed to come. Installers showed up rushed through the removal and install. day 1, day 2 trim and finish, not enough trim of the right size, did not finish trim, did not finish caulking, did rush job messy. missing parts from order, window screen, broken track, scratches on framing. took pictures talked with installers talked with PSG and Lowes about issues. New trim order, I picked up 2 weeks later. 2 months later and several phone calls and emails. Installer shows up was told small job, but was not told still had 3 large windows of trim and a fixes to do. no work performed. Several phone calls to Lowes and PSG working on it . . Still missing screen, still missing parts, one window is crooked. No email reply form corporate of Lowes, install team calls but no real help as they just pass it on. I will never use Lowes installation again. No thought of customer, they call but that is their out to say oh we are on it. But again no one cares that i paid for caulking, and stain and pickup up the trim they did not order and we now are waiting for 3 months still to get windows completed. Very disappointed. The installers rushed, should have had bigger crew or taken more time to look and do things clean and right. read more

I had a great experience today at Lowe's and want to make sure it's acknowledged. I came up to the paint counter around noon today (12/19/23), and asked for a small sample of a paint color I'd picked out. The gentleman behind the counter asked what I would be using it for, and I explained I'm a novice and had "a lot of dumb questions". He eased my mind, said he'd help me, and anticipated answers to queries I didn't know I had. He got me what I needed to clean the area first, helped me to determine the sheen I needed, and when I asked about brushes, he steered me toward the small paint rollers which I had not even considered (as I said- extreme novice here!). I asked where the painting tape was, and he told me to make sure not to remove it after the paint had dried (so it won't lift the paint up with it). He grabbed me a paint tray (again, something I hadn't thought of). Through all my muddling through this, he was polite and didn't make me feel dumb. I didn't get his name, but he deserves serious accolades, and puts a great face on Lowe's. read more

I typically don't leave bad reviews, but this store is terrible. Items online will say "in stock" but when you get there, they are nowhere to be found. I ALWAYS have to go back outside to get a lumber cart because they haven't been retrieved by employees. I know this this location gets plenty of business, so maybe they're understaffed. I ordered a house generator in August of 2021. The Lowe's Rep, Keith Burke, who came to my house, promised if I bought it then and there (my first mistake, but Lowe's policy) he guaranteed it for delivery and install for October 2021. I even brought up the supply chain concerns that were bubbling up at the time (now in full force) and he again said if I buy now that he'll put my name on the already existing 20 or so generators on their way and I'll be good for Winter. Given that I stressed that I preferred to have it before Winter, when power outage is more common, he, for a third time guaranteed it. You can see I'm already skeptical, but it's worse than my skepticism imagined. Long story short, it's a day from March 2022 and I still don't have a generator! Absolute atrocious service, ghosting and passive-aggressive on status checks. Spent $14k, had three power outages and not a Lowe's delivery in sight! Got a call the other day after relentless hounding, saying the electrician was going to come out for preliminary inspection that I had to be home for so I took the day off they requested. Guess what? NO SHOW! Left two messages with Install, contacted Lowe's, and no returned calls or updates. Also asked for my money back since there's no end to this in sight; but won't refund me. If this was a ma-and-pa shop, they'd be out of business or sued into oblivion for this kind of thing, but they'll just keep treating people poorly. Unfriendly, not happy personnel. I have my regular account and a PRO account. That store has lost my business. My first order was canceled without being told. The delivery brought one order. I called the coordinator in delivery. He was very unfriendly and challenging. He wouldn't let me finish anything I was saying. All their notes said if the customer calls let them know it was cancelled. Why wasn't I called? I had my landscapers ready to work that day. They apparently felt it was fraudulent. My bank didn't show they denied anything for any reason. The delivery was a day late and driver was 4 late from when he said he would be here for the order that did go through. The driver was very apologetic but said the delivery area is not running smoothly and is about to quit because of it. He was very efficient and friendly. Too bad he has to apologize for his company. They lost out on a $6K appliance order because of the store being inept. When I did go in to pick up an order, I didn't know where I was supposed to go (I failed to read where to go) so I stopped at the Pro desk (I used my Pro card). I stood there for 2 or 3 minutes and no one acknowledged me. Finally the old Keith (as there are 3), seemed irritated that I was even standing there. He finally asked "Do you need help?". OK, so what popped into my head and didn't say out loud was "No, I'm just standing here because I had nothing better to do with my time.". I said yes I am picking up a Pro order. This guy was not friendly in the least, asking me "Well, is it up here?". I started getting rude back to him and stated "I don't know, you tell me." I had to finally walk off and ask someone on the floor where to go. Even the women at "pick-up" was treated rudely by someone she asked to help. So she did it herself and another guy came out and asked if she wanted some help. So, my next order I went through the Bremerton store and everyone was much friendlier. The 2 women that were loading for me were comical. The comparison was night and day. BOOOOOOO Port Orchard. Maybe there should be better management, start in the delivery area and do an overhaul. read more

So apparently I didn't learn from my first bad experience with Lowe's Port Orchard. I ordered a new oven online. Scheduled the delivery for today from 12:30-4:30 (more than a week and a half out). I received a confirmation email yesterday so I thought everything was good. However by about 3:30 I haven't received a heads up call so I decided to check my order status. It says it's rescheduled a WEEK later. Called Lowe's (three times of course because it's PO Lowe's.) The customer service lady says delivery was canceled and that no reason is listed. So she took my number and said she'd ask the driver why it wasn't delivered when he got back. I'm sure I won't receive a call back tonight. I also will go another at least day without an oven. Here is the latest adventure with this Lowes: I went in, after putting the trip off for two months due to the virus. Having accumulated quite a shopping list, I spent well over an hour putting together items from all over the store. You know, writing down the codes for each nut and bolt, finding things in every corner of the place. Rather than push the lumber cart all over the store, I left it and walked around without it gathering things up, returning occasionally to the cart. Once in a while, I'd move the cart. Then when I'm getting ready to leave, I can't find the cart. Someone has taken the cart and put the lumber on the floor. The other items have all disappeared. If another customer had done this, they would have just put everything nearby. All my items except the lumber were GONE. An hour or more of dodging through clueless, maskless virus-breathing customers totally wasted. By then I was ready to deck somebody. I asked a store employee if he could try to track down the overeager employee who had done this, so my items could be retrieved. He was quite unhelpful. Took no initiative to think the problem through. I left the store empty handed, exhausted and angry. This is how this store is run. They must give employees an intelligence test. If they pass, they don't get hired. With the driving time, I basically wasted an entire day trying to shop here and came home with nothing. read more

My wife and I saw a refrigerator we saw on the floor, marked down to a very low price for that model ($1299), a GE French door fridge that we decided to buy. Unfortunately there was not one sales person in the dept. The next morning I went back to buy the fridge. It turned into a nightmare. For some reason the store had one fridge in the back that couldn't be sold. They called the Bremerton store to verify they had the fridge in stock: they had three. The sales person hung up the phone and said it would be better if I called the store myself. She said the other store would match their sales price. I called the Bremerton store and they confirmed they had three in stock but refused to match the Port Orchard store price unless I gave them a photo of the price, otherwise that was their price for the fridge was $1799. Now, why couldn't that sales person just ask the Port Orchard appliances sales person to confirm the price? I called the Port Orchard store to talk to the appliances person about what had happened but no one answered the phone. I called twice. In addition, the woman who answers the store phone verges on rudeness and does the minimum to connect you to the person you request. In my case I requested to talk to the store manager and I was put on hold. When he finally came to the phone--his name was Paul--he said he would go look at their floor price of the fridge and call me back. Maybe he did, I don't know. About 20 minutes later our phone line developed problems and we couldn't get incoming calls. The line was repaired that day, but I still haven't heard back from him. A couple of days later I checked the price of the GE fridge and it had been raised to $1799. I've read that the Lowe's chain is in trouble and this experience shows why. Jobs have been cut and some services have been outsourced. As a friend of ours recently said, Lowe's is good for tools and supplies, but not for major purchases like appliances. They have some employees that greet you upon store entry and ask if they can help you. But most of the employees ignore customers and others are just incompetent. I think the woman who answers the phone sets the tone for the store: we're just here to get a pay check so don't bother us. But the store did my wife and I a favor. Worst purchasing experience ever. Needed to get washer and dryer. Went to the store because buying online anywhere would still be a few months to get delivered. We quickly found what we needed. Person who helped us was great. Went to pay for it and waited for an hour! They were transitioning their payment system to a new one... on the weekend when it's their busiest days for business lol! We needed the dryer delivered. We paid for "haul away service" to pick up and dispose of our old washer and dryer. The delivery guy refused to take my appliance even after I showed him the receipt. I had to call the store 10 times because they kept transferring me and hanging up. I had to wait the next day for him to haul away our appliances and wasting another day. Being considerate, I informed the cashier that I would be right back and that cart of mulch was mine. She said ok and of i went. Less then 5 minutes later I return and she's closing up here till. Why didn't she say something? I would of bought them right there instead of having to drag the cart through the store and then back halfway down the lot to my car that I parked next to the garden center exit. I was going to spend $60 on lumber and screws, hey had one piece of peg board unpainted which is what I wanted and one piece of un-painted. When I rolled to the check out I explained to the checker that I would like the unpainted price for the one ($4 difference). She called the "lead checker". Her reply was just "no". So I left the lumber and cart at the register and left. Worst service of any store ever. Who ever manages this place is awful if this is what they deliver. Purchased a washer and dryer last weekend for over $2000 and received a call from an automated system confirming delivery and set up between 12-4:30pm today. It is now 7:49 pm and no delivery and set up. I know this is a contract with a third party, but Lowes should make sure that their third party contractors are more reliable and deliver the customer service expected with a large purchase. Most likely going to cancel the order to get a refund as the third party contractor didn't even call us to let us know they were running behind. We had to contact them twice. Still no update from them! Update it is now 8:08pm. Called Lowe's and the appliances were returned to the store and no one called us to let us know. I purchased a stove from Lowes on August 18, 2022 and salesperson gave us the date of August 29 to obtain the stove to replace for the one was going bad. August 29, 2022 came and Wow! What a disaster. Blaming a computer problem. Get real Lowes you can solve problems without a computer and making customer happy who like to keeping back. I like the concept of Lowes, but if you need help it's not there. The install team for Windows was a NO SHOW after 4 attempts of taking time off work to accommodate them. In the end I got a full refund and will work with a competent team elsewhere. To bad Lowes doesn't monitor their installers more. read more

We needed a new washer/dryer. The floor salesman took our current model number to look up dimensions. He absolutely, unequivocally assured us that we could use our old pedestals. First was the delivery problems. Truck arrived on the actual scheduled delivery date. But they only had the dryer! No washing machine. Called Lowe's, and they told us that as soon as the truck left, they realized that it didn't have our washer, so they sent it out on the very next truck, which they assured us would be there the same day. So we had the first guys leave the dryer in the garage, feeling assured that the next guys to come later that day would install it and the washer they were carrying. But it didn't come that day. It came two days later. That delivery/setup guy spoke very poor English. Hard to understand. But I understood that he was surly and abrasive. The first thing he said was that he would only install the machine he brought, and not the dryer sitting in the garage. When I told him I'd call Lowe's to work that out, he was upset because that would take time he didn't want to "waste." Finally he concluded that the new machines couldn't be installed on the old pedestals because they were a different size! Finally we discovered that because of that extra 1" in width, the new machines wouldn't fit into our space anyway! So they took the washing machine back (never unloaded it), but left the dryer in our garage. We're negotiating a refund now, and I'm spring loaded for a battle over that! read more

I'm surprised that Lowe's has a 2 star average. We just moved to the area and the location of Lowe's makes it preferable to Home Depot. Yet in the past 2 weeks, my wife and I have been there about 20 times. We have not yet had a good experience. The staff is grossly undertrained and frankly don't know how to help customers or just don't care. We've played a game. I went to Lowe's and my wife drove 10 miles to our old Home Depot. We had the same shopping list. 1 plumbing piece, make a key, and buy a drill bit. My wife finished first INCLUDING drive time. Items not in stock at Lowe's. Needed to get an associate to get in the racks for the part. First key was made wrong etc. Lowe's needs to get their act together. They are NOT just a blue Home Depot!!! read more

A man was good at helping me find a part but he was wearing a thin blue neck gator as his face mask and kept trying to get close to me. The store needs to enforce Proper masks - not thin cloth that is useless! They are also short on cashiers. So I'm standing here with a friend and his two young sons waiting to help him with a new washer that he called them about at 1600 to say we'd be in in a bit to grab it (already paid for). We got here at 1730 and went to pickup a couple things while they get it from the back. They got the wrong one the first time and it's now 1820 and we're still stranded here waiting. There was a gaggle if employees taking about the things they needed a forklift for and they decided that people that just walked in were more important. I have though long and hard about my review of Lowes. Bottom line, I really don't think the management of Lowes really cares about its customers or about making things right with the customer. Although I believe most of the employees are capable and caring individuals it is apparent that the training they receive from management at Lowes is very poor. It is obvious that they are trained to ignore incoming phone calls and that lying to customers is really ok. My complaint. We ordered 400 retaining wall block, on line, to be delivered to our home. Received a confirmation the day after the order and another 2 days before the order was to be delivered. On the day before the order was to be delivered I received a call from the delivery department confirming our address because apparently all they had on record for us was a P O Box. (Let me say, that this was not true as we had provided our physical address at the time of order, as well as having made several other orders that had been delivered to our home in the recent past.) Anyway, the phone message said for us to call them and confirm the address, so we attempted to call the store at the provided number. I started calling the store at 11:30 am and continuously called the store until 5:30 pm (I called over 100 times) and never once did anyone (not kidding) ever answer the phone and there was no option to leave a message. I finally got in my car and drove to the store. When I got to the store there were 4 people working in the customer service department. I waited maybe 5 minutes to talk to one of them. They looked up my order in their computer and before I could say my address, they read back the address on file and assured me that they had the address and the order should be fine for delivery as scheduled the next day. They said the delivery department would call with a delivery window the next day. The next day, I waited until 11:30 am to try to call about my delivery (continuously calling again until finally getting someone to answer) and finally at 3 pm I was able to get a hold of someone in the delivery department to confirm my delivery was actually coming that day. I was told that since I never called them back to confirm my address (a LIE as I did attempt to call and DID go into the store and I DID confirm my address) my order was not coming that day and they would attempt to deliver it in about 1 week. Although its a moot point now, I had taken time off work and lined up help to build my retaining wall and because of their callous disregard I will need to take another day off work and attempt to find help on another day. I cancelled my order, and of course Lowes didn't care. There are lots of other unsuspecting victims out there that shop at Lowes, as I had in the past, and have no idea about this business. read more

We greatly appreciate those that went out of their way to help us out with the purchase and delivery of our refrigerator. It was the one appliance our new place didn't come with, and after driving cross country we were more than ready to have some fresh food (so ready to break up with fast food). A-able to get an amazing deal and B-get our appliance delivered as well as installed on the same day for free...made a huge difference for us after traveling for 32+hours with numerous setbacks occurring along the way. I can not even begin to describe the high level of customer service I got at this Lowes store. I have remodeled two homes now and never felt so happy with my shopping experience ! Paige went above and beyond to make sure I got exactly what I needed in a unique situation. She also diffused my anger at the mess ups with a lowes.com order that lead to me not having a dryer for over a month past the delivery date. Lowe's now has a sweet app that you can look up and find out if they have the product your looking for at your local store! I checked it out, said they have 101 bags of the lawn seed I wanted to get on aisle 24 column 11. So I drove down there looked around, talked with a few customer service people and they had 0 bags and don't even have an aisle 24. read more

Customer service and communication are absolutely awful I wish I could give Lowes $0 stars. My wife got confirmation the washer and dryer would be delivered on Monday. She took a full day off work on one of her busiest days. When the washer and dryer never showed up at about 4 she called. She was transferred multiple times on hold disconnected for about 30 minutes. When she finally spoke to the manager she found out that they weren't even ready yet because Lowe's didn't have the dryer only the washer. We got the delivery setup for Friday. They said they would call Thursday night before 5 p.m. to confirm delivery for Friday. By 5:15 they had not called. I called them and got transferred from Department to Department in circles because no one could help me. I talked to six different people who have no idea what I was talking about or how to help me When asked to speak to the manager to get help they hung up on me. I called back and told you every answer the phone I needed to speak to the manager Rick. I was put on hold and once again disconnected. This happened several more times. I was finally able to speak to a manager. Who confirmed that the delivery would be Friday from the outside company DSI. He confirmed that it was delivery and hooking up the washer and dryer. The delivery guys got here today and said the order was only for delivery and not for hooking up anything. They were nice enough to hook up the washer and dryer and make sure they were working properly. They got everything done from the moment they parked to the moment they left within 40 minutes. I would give them six stars out of five for going above and beyond. Arturo and Jonathan saved the day but not the rating for Lowes. Those two guys need a raise. read more
