I saved the receipt and my husband went to the store to return the sand. It was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience to learn that there is a 90 day window on returns (with receipt) and NO EXCEPTIONS ARE GRANTED FOR A RESELLABLE ITEM such as polymeric sand! I live in Woodbury, NJ, and wanted to buy 200 bricks. They were not in stock in nearby NJ Lowes. So I ordered them yesterday from this store and had them deliver the bricks to my house. I cleared my driveway to make room for the delivery truck as I wanted the bricks unloaded at the end of my driveway. They had been texting me about the delivery progress. They did not text me when the truck arrived at my house nor did the truck driver ring my door bell to ask me where I wanted the bricks unloaded. The truck driver just unloaded the bricks at the curb and left. I found out about the delivery when I checked my email. Now I, a senior citizen, had to remove all 200 bricks and wheelbarrow them 51 feet to the back of my driveway for storage. Don't ever order anything from Lowe's! My experience was miserable. I ordered an air-conditioning unit on-line from Lowe's on August 30, 2022. I chose Lowe's because it said the AC unit would be delivered in two days. On 9/1/22, I received a text saying the AC unit would be delivered that day. I was happy that it was going to show up on time! However, it did not show up. I called Lowes - and after waiting one hour on hold - was told it was the delivery company's problem. I was given their number and spoke to someone (who had children playing noisily in the background) who said the delivery company had called me on 9/1/22 to inform me that the delivery would not arrive that day. It turns out their calls were the two that I did not answer because they were from "Mainland China!" Lowes delivery call center is in China?!?! She then told me that the AC unit would be delivered on 9/4/22. Guess what? It did not show up. After another long wait on hold to speak to a human at the South Philly Lowe's, I was told that the reason the AC unit wasn't delivered that day was because the delivery truck broke down. The Lowes person was completely unapologetic, blaming all of the problems on the delivery company... THE ONE THAT LOWE'S HIRED! The delivery was re-scheduled a third time for today 9/7/22 - more than one full week after it was ordered and 6 days after it was originally supposed to be delivered! Amazingly, it was delivered. But we suffered a week of extreme heat because Lowe's didn't get us the AC unit on the date that was originally promised! The week of their screw-ups were totally Lowe's responsibility even though they refused to take responsibility! The lack of accountability from Lowe's is appalling. The absolute worst Lowe's in America. And I go to a lot of them. The only redeemable quality this entire store is the online order pick up. Everything else is absolutely useless and just waiting to close down. They never recovered It seems from the pandemic and still have one lane open at self check out. That doesn't even work if you have a business card. As a contractor I need to bring my purchases up as PO's and Lowe's doesn't allow that unless you go to an employee check out and they don't have that set up. Management sees what's going on and doesn't do anything just offers the most in your face excuses. I am an avid DIYer and constantly in and out of Lowes. I have visited many Lowes in many states but never been treated as wonderful as I was today. I am doing some exterior home improvements and had questions regarding screws for concrete. Usually I am just guided in the direction for my projects but today I was literally walked through, made knowledgeable, and given a boost of confidence from two of Lowes hidden gems Sharron and Victoria. I can't wait to complete my project and head back to show them pictures of the finished work. World's worst customer experience ever. In a nutshell, they suck on all levels. Now let me explain why. We bought a condo - as such, we wanted to update the appliances. We ordered the appliances online and set up a delivery date. Easy peasy there. I received a call confirming the delivery window, no issue there. The day of the delivery, did I ever get my appliances? NO. Complete incompetence all around - from the apparently two stores responsible for the 4 appliances to the delivery folks who were supposed to pickup and deliver said appliances. Only 1 of the 4 appliances was picked up and that 1 item never arrived at the condo. The driver claimed to have been here but nobody was there... well, there is a 24 hour concierge and cameras everywhere - and they were not here. He did not call either. It gets worse. Not only was this store incompetent... the whole company appears to be. I was unable to get any consistent answers around what went wrong and why this happened. It resulted in the cancelation of the order and purchasing locally from Gerhard's appliance, where we had zero issues and only paid a tiny bit more (the lack of headache was worth it, and I wish I bought from them in the first place). Lowe's will never get a penny out of me as long as I live. And if you don't want to have a headache, too, I would suggest not wasting your time with them. read more

No. I was looking for a specific set of floating shelves. The Lowe's near me didn't have them, nor did any others that were fairly short drives. But lucky me, they have several in stock in South Philly. I headed out, a good half hour drive if no traffic, and searched in vain for the shelves. I finally asked for help (don't bother with the little "call for help" buttons - I think they are like the "close door" buttons on elevators - they don't actually do anything). The woman who helped me - and she was very helpful, or this would have been a one star review) checked the stock records. Sure enough, five in stock, and verified the location. Except...oops, none in stock. Not one. A waste of a trip, a waste of time in the store, and a waste of time calling the Lowe's customer service line. Go anywhere else.... Getting simple answers to your questions in-store often turns into a game of "hot potato" where you the customer gets referred to multiple inattentive departments. Where Lowes Incompetence shines the most is with large delivery Appliance orders. Every time you enquire about your order which is late/lost they'll put you on hold and transfer you to a representative in a different department who you'll have to re-hash the history of your order, all for them to hang up on you. Should your order go out for delivery, XPO (Their shipping company of choice) will abandon any and all protocol for alerting you they're making a delivery. After a month, and 3 re-orders to get a simple washer/dryer delivery, I came to the conclusion that I would never receive the delivery. Protect your time and sanity and avoid Lowes in general, but especially this location. read more

A Manager named Tiana was extremely helpful and solved an issue that the Aramingo location caused. I would definitely recommend this location. Purchased multiple items online and my order was sent to Lowe's Aramingo. I received a phone call from a woman stating that one item was unavailable and asked if I wanted to cancel. I said I didn't want to cancel the whole order but asked questions to try and rectify the situation. The woman put me on hold in the middle of me speaking and then hung up on me. I called the Aramingo location twice and no one answered. Decided to call Lowe's Customer Service. Rep pulled up my order and then 5 min later, the rep says my order was cancelled. The woman who called me cancelled my order without my consent. Customer service called Aramingo to see if they would be helpful and solve my issue but they would not. I asked the rep if she could call the South Philly location and she was wonderful enough to do so. Thank goodness customer service solved my problem and fulfilled my order at the Columbus Blvd location. I will not purchase from Aramingo Lowe's again! Garden center at Lowe's is popping today! We rode our bikes down* to check out the planters and herbs after not being able to find things around Center City just yet and we were pleasantly surprised by the selection! Lots of pots and planters, and they even had plenty of herb plants. It was bumping with lots of folks doing their spring home improvement and such, but the garden center is outdoors so it felt pandemic-safe. *Biking was quite treacherous with all the construction on Columbus... do not recommend. :) Maybe try coming down on a different street and go east on Snyder. read more

This store continues to amaze me with increasingly new depths of ineptitude. An online order for in store pickup takes over three weeks to even "be available for pickup" even when there are dozens of the product in stock on the shelves and overflow bays. I understand that things are extra tough due to covid, but not much about their in store experience seems affected or altered, so I'm not sure I have as much understanding here as I do at a small shop that can't safely have their usual staff all on duty, or can't accommodate the foot traffic of usual business volume. I'm not expecting my order to be available next day. Even if the inventory is there. But you should set a standard of pride to at least have easy single item orders available within a week, 10 days maybe? read more

The customer service here is about the worst I've seen. I ordered a full set of kitchen cabinets to finish my kitchen. I was given a delivery date, waited several hours, got a call "The truck broke down." I understand things go wrong so I rescheduled for a second date, on that date there was no call, no show, no anything. I followed up with some folks in the shipping dept who told me my order was never completed secondary to some of the cabinets being unavailable. I waited several weeks without a word from the store, I called today to cancel the order and lost another 45 minutes of my life as I was put on hold and switched from one department to another. I stopped doing business with Home Depot because of poor customer service but never had anything this bad. I intend to go back to them now and see if they can do better. Good grief read more

Just dropped in to pickup some gnat traps. Have a horrible infestation problem in my apartments. I usually go to HD but wanted to spread some love. Bad decision. Had to walk around the entire store just to find the small area they have for hose supplies. On top of that they didn't have any products. This should be criminal not to have a stocked pest control aisle. And I was clearly lost trying to find what I was looking for and walked past at least 4 red vests who didn't offer any assistance. I purchased a refrigerator and three days after it was delivered it wasn't getting cold. I called them and they said they would send a serviceman. After sitting waiting 4 hours they never showed up. I called at least 8 times and no one answered. Today my son called the store and they said after 2 days they couldn't do anything on a 1300 dollar refrigerator that wasn't working. He called the Frigidaire company and they are supposed to make an appointment to come to look at it. I will just have to wait and see what happens with the serviceman. I went to this location thinking I would get a better customer service experience than the store close to my home, but I wound up getting the same treatment. Lowe's would sell more products if you hire people that understand the merchandise your store sells so they can explain the proper use for it instead of speaking amongst coworkers judging the customers because they wanted an explanation how to use a product. My experience I encountered was asking a group of female employees chit chatting amongst themselves in the garden center questions on a plant for my pond and the proper steps to grow it. I was told to Google it because now a days you can Google anything and it tells you the instructions. I was annoyed by their response. I was very eager to reply with, "Why are you working here if you don't know the answer?" I also wanted to reply, " If you want me to Google my information than the store should replace your job with the computer or a robot so I can get my answer." Don't they get that there job will be obsolete soon because a robot will be able to give me the answers that I'm requesting along with a demonstration that a human can't give me because of their arrogant and selfish personality. The only good experience I had was during checkout when I wanted to purchase a bottle of water and the cashier noticed it was not cold. She then offered to get a cold one for me which I accepted. This cashier had better customer service skills than the ladies in the garden center. Hire more of this person and not a bunch of ladies gossiping on the job. Thus, please train your employees to better understand your products and how to provide better customer service. read more

They kept messing up the customization options within their own system and had to re enter the order over and over again. Calling customer service desk is a pain because 99% of the time nobody picked up. And when they do, they usually are not able to help you look up an order to find out what's going on with it. Compared with the Home Depot across the street, Lowe's had everything we were looking for and then some. I'm not a fan of big-box stores, and my boyfriend is even less enthusiastic towards them. But in order to get our balcony ready for summer, we had to bite the bullet and just go. Fortunately, there was a huge selection of patio furniture, all right in the center aisle (so no fruitless searching) and easily accessible. I'll even admit we had fun narrowing down our choices. I just spent just 10 min on May 28th at approx 215pm in the South Philadelphia Lowes and this was my experience before I quickly left the store: In the brief time I was there, I saw FIVE Lowes associates that had their masks on below their noses and one who had his mask below his mouth! Again, in the brief time I was there I also saw three customers who were not wearing masks as all. This store is not safe to enter. Since I work around the corner I usually pick up supplies at lunch time from here. They generally have anything I need, and when they don't they have ordered it for me. I bought a $900.00 floor model washing machine from here for $400.00 bucks, so deals are to be had if you are lucky enought to grab a discontinued floor model. I probably spend a little over a grand a year in this place, it is a reliable, predictable place to shop. Out of maybe 60 or 70 visits over the past few years I only had one negative customer service experience. Usually if a product just falls apart or what have you, I bring it back and get my money back. The ladies in returns want to avoid conflict as much as possible, so I have never been hasseled. read more

So I am a Lowe's shopper; I prefer Lowe's to other big boxes for a number of reasons. Last week, during the Black Friday sale I replaced my dishwasher with a brand new top-of-the-line KitchenAid and bought installation from Lowe's. It was a nightmare. The installer, a subcontractor, was unbelievably rude to me and the tenants in my house. He announced that there was extra work needed for the plumbing and wanted to charge double the price of the original installation, for what he said would be 20 minutes of work. When I balked, he got angry, yelled at me, and walked off the job, leaving the job undone. The first half dozen calls to Lowe's yielded nothing: I was asked if I wanted to go forward with the stated charge or not, knowing well that they had me over a barrel. Apparently not....I called my own plumber, he laughed at their price and rescued me. The second round of customer service was nice enough; they refunded the original installation. Actually not nice enough: Never again, Lowe's. I will stick with local distributors and workmen who have incentive to be reasonable and polite. Philly's good for that, so tough luck. read more

The customer service here is dreadful. This is not entirely the fault of the people working there--we can start with poor management and an unwillingness to hire any but the most skeleton crew to maximize profits for this giant. On multiple occasions we've gone in to find absolutely no-one in the department we're visiting. There are buttons you can push for service, which we also have done, many many times with about a 20% response rate. When we've actually gotten help, it's at times been excellent and others... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ My wife called the other day to follow up on an order for a place we're staying at in Philly. She got someone who she spoke to for a moment and then said "oh--um, can you hold on for a second?" After waiting on hold for *ten minutes* she hung up. Lowe's--get your act together!
