We've been using Bennett for six months or so now, and I am a huge fan. We pay $25/mo for weekly…read morecompost pickup and bucket clean out ($18 without bucket clean out). They text and email you the day before pickup to remind you to leave your bucket out overnight (they often come very early, like 5am). I can't remember any missed pickups, and when our lid cracked, they noticed on their own and proactively replaced it. I am excited for Philadelphia to have a free municipal composting program, but until that day comes, I am glad we have Bennett to help us compost easily and conveniently! My office and many surrounding businesses and coffee shops also use Bennett, and it definitely makes me more likely to patron those establishments. I also love that Bennett couriers use bikes to transport compost from your house to their facilities.

We LOVE Bennett composting!!…read more Living in the city with a small yard makes it difficult to compost on our own. I researched composting services after I spotted buckets on stoops throughout the neighborhood. I originally reached out to Circles Compost but they didn't serve our neighborhood at the time so they recommended Bennett. The price is reasonable and the customer service is GREAT. They are easily reachable through email and always answer my questions promptly. We were out of town for a month and they paused our subscription. Plus, we love getting free compost every year to add to our gardens. I highly recommend this service!

For the past 20 years they have turned our woodsy house in Narberth into a wonderful outdoor space with beautiful river birch, dawn redwoods, flowering shrubs, bushes, flowers, grasses and even a small meadow that we and our cats just can't get enough of during the spring, summer and fall. I cannot see living in this area and not having them involved in creating a comforting and beautiful environment to live in!!!

He sent us draft proposals and modified them based on our input. He and his team were very thorough, asking us to send photos of the space at different times of day so they could choose the appropriate plants for that space. To make full use of the space we chose to move the stairs so Brendan connected us with a terrific carpenter (Zach Hedgepeth) who did a great job and coordinated with Brendan to make sure the timing worked out. Once that was done he had his stone mason pull up the ugly brick floor and replace it with beautiful bluestone hardscape. Then his team came in to install the planters and the plants. The whole time they communicated well, keeping us updated on their work and staying in touch with the subs so they knew what was happening. Even now that the patio is done, Brendan has been responsive to my questions in email and offered to replace some plants that didn't survive the winter. We absolutely love sitting out in our beautiful patio surrounded by lush greenery and seeing how the different plants flower at different times. Brendan and his team were a delight to work with and I highly recommend them.
