In part because of the rising prices brought on by Mr. Trump's War, I applied to and gained an interview at this Lowe's store. The Job was a seasonal sales job, selling lawn mowers and the like. The interview seemed to go fairly well, until I asked a question: would I be able to drive one of the mowers? This was a serious question. Whenever I worked at a company to sell something, particularly electronics, I made a point of learning all the idiosyncrasies that I could about a given product. I think doing so made me feel more confident in selling the product, it certainly made me more knowledgeable about that product and that class of products in general, and I'm absolutely certain I was able to sell more products. I would call that a win in all directions. The interviewer had a fit, starting by exclaiming the words "MOST CERTAINLY NOT!" I wasn't even an employee, and already I'm being yelled at! She went on a bit, and when I tried to explain the point I made above, I knew the interview would go nowhere. It didn't. So I gently offer some advice when dealing with this Lowe's store. Don't touch anything. Don't even ask about touching anything. Don't even speak. Because if this interviewer is truly representative of Lowe's culture, maybe don't even enter a Lowe's store! Costumer service... !!!! The people I talk to were very rude!!! When we received our dish washer it didn't work.... All in all after taking 4 days off work & they kept scheduling to replace... but didn't have dishwasher in store.... So many managers ..... not 1 was helpful....& yes.... Penny was the worst!!!!.... I also was told by Penny the store manager does not speak to customers... maybe he should find out how these people are actually doing... or not doing... their job... yep lost us as customers...!!!!!! read more

Bought a $50 board of plywood. Asked for certain cuts. Got home and all the cuts were off. Went back to see if they could trim the .5 - .25 inch off all boards since they were wrong and they said they couldn't because they have a 12 inch minimum for cutting. Couldn't return the wood since it was already cut and no way to use for what I needed. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Read through some store reviews and noticed I'm not the only customer that had a problem with an assistant manager named Penny at Perrysburg Ohio Lowe's location. Had purchased a counter-top model LG microwave and it developed a short in less than 30 days, so I called the store about returning it. Penny told me that I had to contact LG because Lowe's had a store policy - 48 hours on microwaves, and that there was also an issue because I did not pay for it with a Lowe's credit card. Believing her, I called LG, and the LG rep told me that the Lowe's store should handle the return because it was under 30 days. Called back to talk to Penny again and she said that there was absolutely nothing that she could do for me, so I asked to talk to the store manager. She told me that the manager was out for a couple of days and waiting for the manager to come back would put me past 30 days, so sorry - can't help you. I called another Lowe's location and explained the situation; I was told to bring the microwave to their location. Returns department had no issues whatsoever with the return; did a credit scan (which BTW, the scan read that I had 90 days to return the microwave, not 30) and then sold me identical model. She asked me who I dealt with at the Perrysburg location, and when I said Penny - she just shook her head and said "shame on her". Told me that Penny quoted me 48 hour return because that applies to built-in microwaves, not counter-top models; showed me a large written statement explaining returns posted by the returns counter that fully explained specific returns. Went back to Perrysburg location a few weeks later looking to buy another appliance and talked to same salesman that sold me the first microwave and explained what happened...that person ASKED me if Penny was the person that would not make any effort to help me. I will shop Perrysburg location again because it is convenient, but I will rely on what the sales people tell me, not Penny. Sorry for the terribly long review, but ...I also have a job where I deal with customer service, so I was very frustrated when a (asst) manager there made zero effort to help me, because...she didn't even know store policy. read more

Lowe's in Perryburg has the worst customer service ever possible. They have completely lost me as a customer forever. Alphonso and Penny have no cares with customer support specially if you have a warranty which if ridiculous!! I will tell all my friends and family to not support them at all and hope they close!!! Not only Penny did not care to resolve the return for a cheap $199 microwave she then hung up on me! What great service seems to me more of a joke!!!! read more

Ordered a refrigerator - delivery guys show up and say "we can't turn off the water valve, we can't install into copper wiring," and no one gave us any instruction prior to delivery on any of these issues. They left my old unit in the middle of my kitchen - leaking - and my new unit sitting in my garage. They also talked to me like I was an idiot and wasting their time. This is like the fourth time we've had just terrible experiences with Lowe's. We continue to use them because of their supposed military discount except, whoops, you can't use the military discount on appliances that are on sale (which is pretty much always). read more

This home improvement store is nothing to get excited about. The staff is unpleasant and unapproachable. Whenever you need help you can never find an associate and when you do they can't help because it's 'not their department '. I prefer to utilize other home improvement stores in the area that are at least willing to help their customers. read more

Had to look all over to find someone, finally walked up front to ask for someone to assist with questions and was told nobody could help (with a condisending attitude) so I walked out. Went to pick up privacy fence, ordered online curbside pickup. Called from pickup area to let them know what spot I was in. Got a call on my cell to go to the back of store and pick it up. Purchased carpeting, padding and installation through Lowe's. The carpet is pulling apart in areas and one of the seams is unsightly. The room the carpet is in is currently being remodeled so we have no furniture in it. I called the store who pushed me to installation. They came out to take pictures. After 3 weeks, I had to call them. They told me they were not taking responsibility for the bad carpet because they felt our dogs are the ones that pulled the carpet, causing it to snag. There are snags all over the carpet. If the carpet can't handle dogs walking on it, they probably shouldn't be selling it. Will never buy carpet from there again. read more

Needed some help designing cabinets and countertops for my laundry room and pantry. I had already had a pleasant experience with my kitchen remodel from Lowes associate Mitch, and was happy to return. When I arrived to the design area I waited for an associate to finish assisting another customer in appliances. I remembered him, because he had also said he didn't have time when I was there before, to which Mitch kindly stepped in and quickly designed the kitchen. He came over and asked what I needed, then explained to me he would have to schedule an appointment because he leaves at 6:00 pm and it was 5:00. No problem, I made the appointment. So, I arrived today at my scheduled appointment time, with all my dimensions, to meet with Charlie. He has advised me unless I knew exactly what I wanted, I was wasting his time. "I was wasting his time..." Maybe Charlie would be of better service to Lowes, as an associate in lawn and garden with the flowers and shrubs, seems he is not a big people person. read more

We bought a Husqvarna Z254F mower from Lowe's and had it delivered today, 5/10/20. The delivery crew dropped off the mower and started to leave before we noticed there was no key or manual. The crew driver told us to call Lowe's, and they would deliver one. We called, and the manager said he'd find one and call us back. We ultimately drove there and got a key and manual because we didn't receive a call back. When we finally tried to start the mower, we discovered the battery cables were not connected, and there were no cable bolts to connect it. Another call to Lowe's, and another trip back to get the bolts. Turns out we were given the outside display mower (that explains the bird poop on the seat), and we were told that's normal. The mower works well after two trips back to the store, but now we wonder how much 'fiddling' with the machine occurred by potential buyers. Very disappointed, and that's our last big purchase at that store. We had expectations that a $2999 mower would be delivered ready to operate - not so much.... read more

These are trying times. So when someone goes out of their way to help you you take notice. We have only been in the area a couple weeks. I needed a zero turn mower. Not only was the sales staff helpful in searching for just what I wanted a part time employee named Haden overheard that I needed a mulching blade installed and volunteered to do it for me. Look most people quit looking for work the day they get hired! One of the other employees tried to discourage him saying "your only a part time employee". Look I don't know if he was stepping out of bounds but I'm very restful he followed through. "Good managers do things the right way. Good leaders do the right thing." read more

Our company has quite a few rentals plus we flip houses so we buy a LOT of materials. We usually shop at Lowes on Airport, and occasionally the store in Perrysburg. The employees always make my day a little brighter with their friendliness and they have been really helpful many, many times, pulling material, giving suggestions, and pulling carts to the registers for us while we continue shopping. Do not purchase carpet from Lowes! Purchased carpet for my master bedroom, hall and stairs four years ago. Last year the carpet came loose with big waves in all areas including the steps. After numerous calls to Lowes they came out and said it was bad carpet vs. bad installation. Lowes resolution was for me to pay $550 to have the "bad carpet" restretched. I have carpet in my current house in high traffic areas that is nearly 20 years old and looks way better than my "new" carpet. Never again with Lowes! read more
