I want to thank the manager at Lowes today that gave us, the American Legion post 50, a discount on our purchases today. We are a 501C and needed a few items for the post. She was so kind as to help us out! Lowes supports Veterans and Veteran organizations!! read more

We needed to purchase a new refrigerator and went into the Paso Robles store to shop. Vincent Sanchez, in Appliances, took care of us from the beginning to end very well. Because of the Memorial Day sale, we were able to buy the item we wanted and an additional refrigerator for the garage at an unbelievable price! Kudos to Mr. Sanchez for his patience and professionalism. I recommend him and this store to anyone in need of new appliances. read more

Darn. Gave this store SO many chances over the last decade since we live close by, but we just can't in good faith recommend it anymore. At all. The inventory quantity (or location on the shelves) doesn't even remotely match the app. Many products on the shelves are broken - especially bricks, pavers, lumbar, etc. Doesn't seem like anyone monitors inventory or quality control. So unlike other Lowe's we have visited over the years. Good luck trying to find an employee willing to help. Most walk right by and won't make eye contact. Trying to reach someone by phone is even worse. Our most recent (and last!) purchasing experience was atrocious. Waited almost an hour to buy a dishwasher. Ended up purchasing it online since no one would help us (or the three other families trying to purchase appliances that afternoon). Upon delivery the dishwasher arrived damaged so the plumber had to cap our line while waiting for another to be shipped. While we waited, the cap burst, flooding our kitchen & ruining our hardwood floors. So that added a HUGE headache to get cleaned up safely and repaired - and was not handled well by Dominic or other Lowe's employees we engaged with. After THREE deliveries of consistently damaged dishwashers, (over almost two months time) we decided to purchase instead from Idlers. What a difference!! They match prices. They deliver pristine appliances transported carefully and install them with care. Their install team was incredible - truly went above & beyond and made us realize just how low the bar is at Lowe's. Save yourself major hassle by going to Idlers instead. You won't pay a penny more but they will treat you, your purchase, and your home with respect. You actually build a relationship with their sales team and want you to call them directly if any issues arise. We are so glad we found another option. Unfortunately this Lowe's is a huge NO for us. It's worth the drive to go somewhere - anywhere (!) - else. read more

For as long as I can remember, even prior to moving to the central coast, Lowe's has been my go to home store, usually having items I need for a home project. Recently, I've had a few above average experiences, where store employees have help load my truck with pavers and concrete border, which was great customer service, but it's the exception. Wandering aisles looking for help can get frustrating, needing help in plumbing and ending up in electrical because there is no one around has caused me to leave the store more than once. Rarely will I visit Lowe's without knowing what I need and where it is, the mobile app has come in handy. Again, that's a lack of customer service, if I have to turn to my app for help. Returns have been very easy, which is nice, using my Lowe's Reward, especially if I no longer have the receipt. Self checkout is hit and miss, if there is an item that doesn't have a SKU and they need to look it up. Even if I present them with a picture of the item and stock number, they still feel the need to look it up. Policy? Maybe but my time is valuable. Overall, if you don't need sale help, the big box store is average. Go in knowing what you need and it's a good experience. Don't go in expecting knowledgable, readily available sales associates. read more

Ordered a freezer. We were given a delivery date. Be home between 12&4pm. OK. 5 different delivery changes later and a very upsetting call with the Manager at Lowe's they still had the delivery date almost two weeks out from the first one. At one point, a Customer Service rep said, "I see it on the truck. I guarantee it will be there tomorrow. I guarantee it." Guess what? No delivery. When they moved it to the 5th date, no one let us know. We would have been waiting for it on Saturday. Called Idlers after our last phone call with the Manager at Lowe's. Hey! Idler's had the very same freezer; $95 cheaper and guess what? It was delivered the next day!! Thank you, Thank you Idler's. Never again, Lowe's. We are done having you yank customers, like us around like that. read more

This Lowes has the best customer service. The staff is friendly and helpful. The measure of a store's customer service is when you have problems and how the staff responds to the customer issue. In my case I order 10 pallets of mulch when they had their sale. The mulch was as expected and the color for 8 pallets were perfect. Two of the pallets were not even dyed brown. They were the natural color. I called the garden department up and they were happy to exchange the bags if I bring it in. Well, I'm not loading my car with 130 bags of 20lb mulch, lol; I asked for a manager and she was great in resolving the issue. She arranged for the pallets to be returned and replaced with 2 non-defective dye lot mulch. Also I called later to order two more pallets since the delivery was going to happen and I can save on delivery cost. No problem what so ever, they added two more pallets and just deliverd them today. All I can say is what great customer service and no hassel. This was not their fault but the manufactures fault but Lowes took care of the issue. Best of all I did not have to argue with them at all. I wish I knew the store manager's name so I can give her kudos on this review. I can only say she was awesome! And so was the gentleman in the garden center. Also the deliver team was great as well, ontime, polite and kept me informed thru-out the delivery. read more

I really dislike all the self check out machines they installed. This change is what makes me have to scan my servers license just to just my military discount. As I said before this is a real pain trying to get it out of the leather wallet slot as it's tight and I'm old! Lol. I was looking for an item in the store and asked the woman at the pro desk to call someone in the intercom or phone for assistance and she refused and told me she would call someone after she waited on about 6 people in line. Seriously , you can't just make a quick call like they usually do! Very bitchy attitude. We gave up read more

The staff at this Lowe's were literally the nicest I have ever encountered at a hardware store. From the greeting when we entered to the shelving support - everyone was so kind and helpful. Came in around 9 AM on a Weds to look for grilling tools. Just as I walked into the aisle an employee asked if he could help. I have been a fan of Lowes over Home Depot for years. However there has been a change recently in the customer service. In defense of the store it'self much of my issue is really with the lousy company that does their door installation. I purchased a new front door at the Paso store, it was then out of stock. So the person who handles the measuring found a door from the Santa Maria store. So, then the installers made an appointment to come and verify all for the installation at 2:30, so I left work to be there as supposedly required. They did not come at the appointment time, they came an hour earlier. Costing me money, due to their inability to come at the correct time. I stressed with Lowes installation person I was not happy, but are they Ok. She vouched for them. But they could not install for a month. So I waited and then another date opened (a week earlier) So, I took time off from work again. The install time was between 8-10 am. At 9:45 that morning, I get a call from Innovative Whatever their name is, some one is sick, the truck broke down (they couldn't make up their mind) and my door was broken. They had that door for over 3 weeks, and no one thought that week to check stock? I went around with these incompetent people and eventually cancelled and trying to get my refund (in progress) DO NOT USE the central coast installers. You will regret it. I have spent thousands with Lowes in Paso Robles, the store staff did all they could. However it appears their hands are tied by corporate on fixing things on a. local level and are spread too thin. Heavy breathing and grunts here. Manhood 110%. I'm a loyal Home Depot shopper, and most everywhere I've lived, HD has been the closest to my house so it 85% gets my business. But, I have to admit, Lowe's is a better shopping experience, and it has more SKU's than HD. Things are layed out like a store, not a warehouse. I would say this is more for the laymen than a contractor. In other words, for the typical homeowner. Location specific: Paso Robles, CA ======================== * It's huge with a great selection * Lots of parking * Available & knowledgeable (on the floor) customer help, but scarce * Helpful & efficient customer service at the return desk * Still, I'm an HD guy, but that's 10+ miles away in Atascadero read more

normally i can't be bothered with writing reviews but this store specifically has met me with nothing but terrible customer service. I was waiting to check out and as i'm about to go up to the stand, a worker swoops in and starts talking to whoever was at the checkout stand, so I ended up just going to self checkout which I normally always do because of this, i just didn't feel like walking the extra way this time. Another thing, do not place anything for pickup because it will not be done when it says it will be done. I ordered window tint, just a single box of window tint, and when I showed up at the expected time i was told it "wasn't ready" so i ended up just grabbing it myself and paying for it after cancelling the online order. My experience with Lowe's was horrifying. We built a paver pathway into our new shed. We purchased 14 bags of decomposed granite, stakes, edging and polymeric sand. When we open the sand, we noticed it was damp... not a good sign. Without knowing any better, we installed the damp polymetric sand. We followed the procedure and dampen it after insulation according to instructions. Two day later the sand failed. After educating ourselves on how plyometric sand works... The sand had failed after being exposed to moisture during Paso Robles spring rain. Lowe's stores plyometric sand outdoor in the garden section... a big no no. The sand should be stored in a dry temperature controlled area. We went to Lowe's and talked to the manager (Casey Jones) and explained our problem. She refunded our money but refused to help us with removing the failed sand. We even called corporate to find Help in removing the failed sand, they refused to take responsibility for their mistake. We are so disappointed in Lowe's!!! be aware they do not stand by their product... even when it's their mistake. So sad. read more

Here we go again. No wonder you have only a two star rating. I went yesterday to buy something and usually don't buy plants here. Too expensive. Hello. So I see a sign that says 3 for 10.00 for the vegetable plants. But the sign doesn't say which ones. Just says 11.8 oz pots. So I get to the register and she charges me 5.98 for one of them. Lame. I live in Santa Maria and find its location horrible, however the Paso Robles location is GREAT! It's clean and the customer service is what I expect. I was asked by every employee I got near if I needed help with anything (as is Lowe's policy) which I didn't. I would rather drive the 45 minutes from Santa Maria for the shopping experience as well as having a greater variety of items to shop. I am a Yelp Elite for starters. Do not purchase any of your kitchen cabinets from their design center as they not support their product very well after your purchase. A client of mine purchased a whole kitchen design from Steve Round, designer. He is a very nice guy but that is about it. He does not know how to design kitchens let alone getting you replacement parts that are damaged. My client has had nothing but problems. She asked to have the Rep for Kraftmaid to come to the job site to no avail until the store Assistant Manager Waylon Cox stepped into the picture. He was good for a few days. That was about it. After that he has refused to return emails or phone calls to get things straightened out. She is still waiting for replacement parts that were scheduled to be delivered last week. Will have to think carefully about shopping there again. I went in on Feb., 13 and ordered a brand new fridge. It was originally scheduled to be delivered tomorrow (Feb., 21), but somehow they couldn't be bothered to call me to let me know they're rescheduling the delivery for next Monday. They sent an email. I'd already made arrangements to be home to take delivery of the fridge, but they're too cowardly to call me on the phone to notify me about the delivery date change. I called the store and spoke with a manager. He said he'd make arrangements to have it delivered this Friday instead of next Monday. Eric .....the store mgr need work with customer service!! Matt and Bob and another employee finally helped me with the issue I was having.

Worst customer service I've ever encountered! I purchased a new dishwasher a few days ago, it was delivered this morning. However, I paid an extra 36 dollars to also have our old dishwasher taken away. Antonio, a third party worker for Lowes, REFUSED TO TAKE IT! Straight up said he wasn't taking it. At this point I called the store and we were told this wasn't OK and things would be taken care of. Someone there (unsure who) contacted the driver who said he wasn't turning around to come get it. In the meantime, my husband unpackaged the NEW dishwasher and the TOP HALF, side of the dishwasher was COMPLETELY dented....like they dropped it. I called the store back and requested to speak with a manager. ANDREA got on the phone, I let her know it was "broken" (wrong choice of words). Her comment to me "Well, is it broken or is it dented? That's quite a different thing." THEN SHE LAUGHED AT ME! I said this was besides the point, I spent money on something that is not good shape and I want a new one. This was the REAL KICKER.....She told me they wouldn't be here until TOMORROW to take the old and new one away. I said no, absolutely not. Someone needs to come TODAY to pick up the one I PAID to have HAULED AWAY AND pick up the one that is DENTED. SHE claims she has no control of their schedule and can't just have them come back. At this point I handed the phone over to someone else in my family because I couldn't speak to her anymore, I was so LIVID!I couldn't believe the LACK of responsibility this woman was taking, whether it's a THIRD party service OR not....as a manager. Definitely a poor excuse for one and someone else should have her job. The phone call was left at... they wouldn't be coming until tomorrow to pick up BOTH of the dishwashers. All of a sudden, these guys drive up and take away the OLD dishwasher, but refuse to take the NEW ONE! Again, blown away that they STILL were refusing to do their job. Why even come back at this point??? I decided I would be loading the dishwasher up in a truck and dropping it off in front of their store and getting a FULL REFUND! I will NEVER shop at Lowes again, Home Depot will have my business. read more

I went in to Lowes to purchase a new refrigerator. I told the salesmen that I needed a great ice maker, quite and preferably under $1500. He sold me the one on sale without knowing anything about it. I had it delivered and it was SOOO loud and the ice maker was terrible. I went in a few days later and told them that I hate it and I wanted to exchange it for a new one. He said I could not because it was not purchased on a Lowes card. God for bid I paid cash. I told him I would buy a new washer as well. I picked a washer that had been returned. It was on sale for $200 and he said the only thing wrong with it was that it had a broken handle but it had been fixed. I told him I would have my husband come by after work and pick it up and he would bring my credit card. He said that would be fine and that he would clean it up and have it ready for me. He printed out my invoice with everything on it including the washer and the price of $200. When my husband went in five hours later to pick up the washer he told him it had been sold to someone else. When we asked for a manger the manager said he would not do anything about it because I had not paid for it. I had my invoice in my hand with all the information on there and he would not sell me another washer for that price. They said they would sell me another one for $500. That is more than double so how is that making it right. They were soooo rude and it was their fault and they would not make it right. My husband and i drove 45 minutes from where we live to the Lowe's store in Paso to purchase a propane grill we saw online and loved. Lowe's had the best price. We arrived on a Monday afternoon. We tried to find an associate to help us get the grill to take it up to the register or to give us a ticket but we were unable to find a single person to help us. We then went up to the register and were met with a young lady with an attitude who was extremely unhelpful. We were told we would need a manager to get the barbeque for us and all of the managers were currently in a meeting, so we would have to wait to be helped. We asked how long that would be and she said she did not know. She gave us a printed ticket and told us to go stand out of the way and wait for a manager. We waited a long time and a manager never came to help us. So, we decided not to purchase the grill and as we left the store we asked for the store managers name. We were given his name. We have now called the store twice to speak to this manager and we have been told he is not in or not available both times. We asked the store for the district managers name or number and the Lowes' store told us they would not give out that information. So, I have called the Lowes' corporate office twice and filed a complaint and I have asked both times for a call back and nobody has called me back. So, needless to say, we drove over to Home Depot and bought a grill there. I will never shop at a Lowe's again. Terrible customer service and overall experience. read more

DO NOT LET LOWES INSTALL ANYTHING. December 2020, I bought a new hot water heater at Lowes and had them install it. A few months later, the pilot light would not stay lit. The manufacturer sent their technician out four times, and I was told I was sold the wrong kind of hot water heater for my house. The Lowes installer should have advised me of this. I have contacted the Lowes store in Paso Robles, CA EIGHT TIMES to get this issue addressed. I have had Lowes managers look me in the eye and tell me "Lowes will take care of their customers." Nothing yet....still waiting. I was finally contacted by Lowes Warranty or Installation Department two weeks ago to tell me I would be getting a new hot water heater installed at their expense. I called for an update today and was told absolutely NOTHING has progressed since JUNE 2021, this is late October. I was supposed to get a call back within one hour. Nope, it's been five hours now. I am a VISUALLY-HANDICAPPED SENIOR CITIZEN who has become an expert on lighting pilot lights. Today I filed a complaint with the State of California Consumer Affairs and wrote to the Senior Vice President of Stores at Lowes. I am so disappointed with the roof installation I ordered through the Lowe's store in Paso Robles, CA. The roofs on my home and my granny cottage were installed in 2019. The first rain came and the granny cottage roof leaked. Contractor came out and "fixed" it. Now, 3 years later, when we are actually getting rain, it is leaking again. The roof on the main house is leaking now, too! I called the customer service line, and they told me that the labor warranty is only good for 2 years and that I should call my homeowner's insurance. They didn't even offer to come inspect to ascertain that it was a labor issue and not a materials issue. I won't go into the hassles I had with the contractor at the time of installation. I am so upset and angry about having to deal with a leaky roof so soon after installation. NEVER again will I hire Lowe's installation services for ANYTHING! Terrible! Lowe's is not deserving of a one star review, but this one sure is. You will have to give up your virgin blood for a paper bag, they don't have plastic bags, no handles on the paper bags, and you can only take a Cart outside but not a basket. So if you have a basket, it is awkwardly taken away from you and you wait while they inconveniently and grudgingly go and find you a shopping cart. The self checkout is pitiful and traps you in the checkout area in the way it is set up. It's a guarantee that the automated machine will have some stupid algorithm that will stop you from scanning for unknown reason (like plants can't go on the scale/ how the F do I know that) etc. then the teenager or senior citizen attendant might make there way over to you but most likely you will end up waiting while they take ten minutes to finish a simple transaction at the head station while blocking the exit and people waiting for bags. All this occurs near the bathrooms so you are blessed with the smell and foot traffic of a overly crowded space engineered by a cinnamon roll for a space so large. At least they are 100% consistent at irritating an easy going person every time I muster up the courage to go to this Lowe's. read more

My partner and I went into Lowe's today prepared to purchase a washing machine. There was a huge sale happening and they were blowing out dented merchandise. We couldn't even get anyone to say hello to us. We went to the newer washers and did not have any better luck. At least 6 people walked past us but no one would stop even when we TRIED talking to them. We left after 30 minutes. At least they sold to their competition so no one struggling financially can afford a washer at a discount though. read more

I've been going to Lowe's for the last year. We've had nothing but very good experiences and the products they sell. We frequent this store anywhere from 1-2 times per month. If Home Depot doesn't have it then Lowes usually does (and vice versa). The prices are competitive with Home Depot as well. The one knock we have is their check out area. Save yourself the headache and don't shop at Lowe's. Not only do they not stand behind their products, but they don't honor their warranties either. 7 months ago, I bought a log splitter with a partner, 5 hours of run time later, and its trash. This splitter was garaged and maintained from day 1 and never mistreated. By the time I'd split half of a cord of wood; the pull string was already having issues, but that wasn't all that happened. Typical weekend 2 months ago; wake up, pull the splitter out of the garage, first pull and the string breaks as it fires, then it starts rattling like crazy and grenades. Thank goodness it's covered under the 1 year warranty, right?.... wrong. Dirty Hand Tools has badging all over this thing saying "CALL US for any issues and for warranty claims" so, I did just that. What a joke, they tell me they will only warranty the frame and hydraulic system. I would need to contact Kohler for engine warranty. NOWHERE on the unit OR in the manual, does it mention Kohler regarding warranty issues.... awesome. Same day, another 30-minute wait time for a representative in the claims department to get on the line. After explaining my issue to 2 different people, I'm eventually told by Koehler, to take the splitter to the nearest Koehler dealer. I found one online before the Koehler representative was able to bring up the list on their end, so I thanked them and went on my way to dialing the next phone number. The local dealer was very nice and helpful but needed to see the splitter. Unfortunately, the tongue of the splitter's hitch had broken as I was disconnecting it from my truck on the day, I bought it from Lowe's. I hadn't thought about it since I never planned on towing it anywhere... until now. My local dealer recommended that I remove 4 bolts and bring the engine down to the shop so, the following day I did just that. Meanwhile, my partner calls Lowe's who says that they can process the warranty. Great news I thought, since I live closer to Lowe's and figured they might even handle the warranty in house. Lowe's representative instructed my partner to put the engine back onto the frame despite what the dealer had just told me so, I did just that. After borrowing a trailer and spending a good hour trying to get the splitter onto it; I was finally able to hand it off to someone at Lowe's. Fast forward 2 months and I still don't have a splitter at my house. I've spent countless hours on the phone with Koehler, Lowe's, and Dirty Hand Tools. All 3 companies say it's not their problem. Dirty Hand Tools says its Koehler's problem, Koehler says its Lowes's problem, and Lowe's say's it's Dirty Hand Tools' Problem. Nobody seems to understand that this is NOT MY PROBLEM, but it's affecting me more than anyone else. I've lost tons of time and money since all this started 2 months ago, and I'll continue to lose more money each day that passes, and I'm left without a splitter. Now, after my splitter has been taken to two different shops for diagnosis, I'm presented with a $419 repair estimate which is more than it would cost me to purchase a new engine, AND I'm told that the repair work will not be covered under warranty. No thank you.... I'll just take my splitter and never shop at Lowes again. Lowe's will call me once the splitter has been "located" and I can pick it up... great. I don't anticipate needing a trailer because surely, they must've repaired the tongue that was broken on day 1, right?... wrong. Words cannot describe my level of frustration when I arrived at Lowe's only to be met with this (see image) ... YES, the engine is in pieces, NO that's not how I left it, and NO, the tongue was not fixed either. "Sir; your log splitter is ready to be picked up." read more
