However, this store was an appliance store. Pivot time! . Well, I also need a new washer/dryer so let's take a look. So I took a look. I didn't have any sales person help. It was offered to me by two ladies. But I let them know that I just wanted to look around on my own and they were both respectful of that. And so I had an opportunity to look at the different washers and dryers, the options, and also look up the reviews on them. Well, my husband finally came to check up on me. By then I had already done my quick research and had an idea what I was looking at. Or so I thought. What I found interesting was that when my husband came in, he and I chatted, and then we went to go find a sales person to see what we were really looking at. I tried to get the lady who had first approached me, but she was nowhere to be found. Then I went and tried to get a hold of the second lady and again was met with no luck. We were about to walk out the door when the second lady did become free, her name was Kerry Jones. I explained the situation, told her we were interested in a front loading machine and asked about a few of the machines. Now coming from a sales background, I understand how commissions work. And I figured that these guys probably worked on commission. That was the reason why I wanted to stick with one of the people I talked to when I first came in the door. After dealing with Kari, I wish I hadn't. She was very opinionated on telling me exactly what machine I should be looking at and what was wrong with the front loaders and a list of negative items to be concerned about. Well, that's great, but that wasn't what I was asking for. And when I was asking her questions, she became very short with me. I checked in with my husband to see if he was getting the same read that I was. He absolutely was. If I'm going to buy expensive appliances, I don't know about you, but I personally wanna know what's gonna be added into the invoice. For instance, will delivery be included or is that a separate charge? Would it be more beneficial for us to go to say Santa Maria for a lower sales tax or is that the same as it is appear? In today's marketplace, we all need to know these things. Kari became very short with me when I started asking those questions. Abrupt, and flushed . I don't know why? As a sales person those should be normal questions. And when I asked her the question of "if it were you what brand would you be looking at? "She actually got offended. What the heck? At that point I picked myself up, held my husband's hand, and we walked out the door. I hope you, Reader have better luck than I did. By the way, we did buy a washer and dryer set. We got a great deal at Costco.

We just got a KitchenAid gas stove and a Kenmore washer that look and operate like they are brand new. And the price was outstanding. Dale, the owner, and Nick installed both appliances and made sure they worked correctly. Plus, they cleaned up. We try to do business locally and Allstar is one wonderful way to do that. Dealing with Allstar is like dealing with family.

Just a reminder that many of the 5-star reviews are from when the previous owner, Dale, was running Allstar up until late 2025, and he was AWESOME. I'm writing this review because I was told I would be receiving a refund for a botched installation, but now they are ghosting me and will not return any of my phone calls or text messages. I ended up installing the appliance myself so that they didn't have to come back a third time because they didn't know how to hook up my machine. How can you own and operate an appliance company and not know how to connect appliances? They placed the unit where it needed to go and were going to leave when I asked the owner, Brandon, if they had finished with the install already, and I was told it was a "move only" request and they didn't charge me for an install. I had to show him the multiple places on the invoice where they had written "Install" and underlined it. He asked me to Zelle him for the installation and that he would be back the next day to complete it, so I paid for an install that wasn't completed. No word all day about when they were coming over, so I had to reach out again at 4pm to ask if they were still coming by. I was told they would come over after they were done painting their shop. No one showed up, even though I cleared my schedule to be home and sat around for 3 hours before accepting that no one was coming. No communication, just a no-show. The owner came back the following day and could not figure out how to hook up my machine and told me that I was on my own because, straight from his mouth, "It's just not worth my time." I asked him how he could make it right because I paid for an installation, and the unit was not installed. He asked, "So do you want like a refund or something?" and I told him I wanted the unit installed and asked if they could schedule an actual technician (instead of the owner, who clearly doesn't know appliances - he literally didn't even show up with tools) to complete the job. He said that they should probably be able to do that. With how flakey the company has been and how awful they've been at communicating, I didn't trust them to even show up the next day, so I decided to install the unit myself. It took me about 30 minutes from start to finish to complete the job. I reached out first thing the next morning to let them know not to send anyone out since I did it myself. I asked them to refund me the difference between the price of a move request vs install request, and they texted me "Of course so srry about the inconvenience, we will get this sent over to you shortly :)". That was 9 days ago, and I've called, texted, and left voicemails with absolutely no replies. Still waiting for them to send it over...shortly. I went to Allstar because I've worked with them before when Dale ran things. They had a repeat customer who sought them out for another job. At this point, I will happily steer as many people away from Allstar as I can and point them to literally anyone else.

I obviously refused and he refused to refund me. The icemaker I purchased from them has a known defect and a recall issued for a faulty drain pump published on their website months ago. They still sold me this unit, figuring that was my problem not theirs. Jim explained to me that it's not the retailers job to know the products they sell have recall notice issued by the manufacturer and selling me a product the manufacturer has issued a notice about faulty components is perfectly inline with their business practices.

We ordered a subzero refrig, bosch dishwasher, meile induction range. Great customer service…read morethrough all my questions before ordering, kept me informed on what was happening with the delays due to Covid. Couldn't have asked for better. Then came install. Specifically the dishwasher. I was not present at install which occurred 2 weeks before I moved in. I found a broken tray handle was left on my counter. No note. No one had contacted me to let me know what was happening with it. Called Reid's and they then got an immediate service call in to Bosch. Why was this not done before? While waiting the short week before Bosch arrived I proceeded to run the dishwasher. Oh look, another broken bit. This time the utensil basket. Installed broken?? Then I get an error code: Watertap E15. Contacted Reid's to see if they could come out to ensure it was hooked up properly. Twice I was told they would call me back. Nope. Over 24 hrs and I had to call them and still they did not come to see if it was hooked up correctly. Bosch guy said 'it's not getting water, did they turn it on?' Bosch repairman bewildered at how it had broken bits inside the wash area, turned the water on and ensured it ran properly. Reid's did call me to see how the repair went. Kudos there. Asked that I call to update them on how well it worked once I ran a complete load. Unfortunately the Bosch continues to have issues and will not run properly. Nor will it actually turn off! Reid's were on it! Had me unplug the d/w while they contacted Bosch rep and discussed the issues I am having with the machine. I got a call back a few days later to say Bosch will be replacing the unit and Reid's will come next week to install. Happy Customer! Bosch unit not working properly, not on Reid's. Extra points for intervening directly with the d/w company and getting a replacement asap. Fingers crossed the new machine will run properly. Broken bits also not on Reid's, but not dealing with what they knew was broken, when they installed - that's on them. Bottom line: A little hiccup at install, but very pleased with them overall. Would definitely recommend!
