I brought in my old blinds for him to measure and then order new Levelor Wood blinds for my kitchen. He was thorough and asked all the right questions, took excellent measurements and let me know that it could take up to 3 weeks for my blinds to be delivered. I received my new blinds today..just 9 days after ordering them from Gavin and they are are perfect fit and exactly what I wanted. Rather than explain the situation or come up with a resolution the girl simply stated "I'm not going to help you" and proceeded to walk away. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!!! Went in there today, 11-14-21 to spend over $300.00 on interior trim paint and such. My wife spotted an exhaust fan for the master bath. BIG SIGN in the store said $89.00. We thought that was a great idea. She grabbed one off the shelf and we proceeded to checkout. At the checkout the lady rang it up as $99.00. When my wife showed her a picture-of the store sign the lady called over another woman who said, " This one is $99.00". I asked why ? It was exactly what the sign said it was and she said," Not this one. This one is different". I asked what's the difference and she said," I don't know. The computer said this one is $99.00". My wife said," Ohhh, it's OK. I will pay for it". I told my wife NO !!! You aren't going to pay that price and she said it's OK, it's only $10.00". I said," It's the principle of the matter". I told the woman just mark it down" and she said,"No, that's the price because the computer said so" !!!!!! I was so fu^*ing pissed at the uncaring attitude. As I was looking over the box I noticed that the fan that moved 110cfm was on sale for $89.00... AND.......A N D .... THE ONE IN OUR BASKET MOVED ONLY 80...... EIGHTY !!! CFM !!!! A weaker fan for $10.00 more !!!!! I tossed over $100.00 worth of merchandise to the side and said I'm not buying any of this shit, now !!!! So with Home Depot available to me and True Value AND..... The only reason I give this store 2 stars is because the employees are nice and courteous. Their delivery sucks. I f you plan to get anything delivered from them do not count on it being in time. I just waisted a whole day waiting for them to deliver a stove. We got a text the night before letting us know it would be delivered from 9-1:30. When it didn't arrive by then my husband tracked it and was given a new time slot of 1-5. Nobody ever called to let us know the time slot changed. When I called the store manager on duty they couldn't answer any of my questions and just said they were close... it still took them 2 hours to deliver it. All this after the messed up our refrigerator delivery 2 weeks ago. I will never have anything delivered from them again!! Bought Christmas village items as a gift for my spouse. Both were defective. Walked in on 12/27 and was told that they can't return it even with a receipt because they don't accept Christmas returns. Called corporate. Told them the same thing. Was told that "you're stuck with the items." My plan was to go in the store and get a replacement. We Love getting our DIY project at Lowe's. Our previous experience with the staff has been good. However today was a complete opposite. For the first time in 8weeks, my husband and i ordered some materials for our gardening project via online and opted for curb side pick up. We decided to opt for curb side pick up because we wanted to limit exposure to COVID 19. As an essential worker myself,I was surprised to witness how unorganized Lowe's in Modesto Ca today. There was a curbside pick up parking there was no one attendant for that department. We called the Lowes phone number while at parking lot, but there was no answer. We decided to get out of the car to find out. Upon entering the door it was chaotic. We looked for any signs on where to go for pick up. Other people as confused as myself and my husband. Turned out the line outside the door is for curb side pick and for return. However, during the time we were waiting in line, the line was growing to the point it will be faster just to walk in than wait in line outside. Asked the lady associate at the front if they could make a sign for curb side pick line/return line. She said to ask someone inside. Past 15mins. while we were still waiting outside door the assistant manager Juan happen to walked by. When i asked him about making the sign for curbside pick line so it will not be confusing for the next customer and to avoid crowding. He just pointed me to the sign about 6ft social distancing. My husband and I told him that is not what i was asking. I was asking fir a curbside pick up line by the door so people who are for walk in does not need to go in line. In the end Juan was not willing to listen to my request was not helpful and very rude to me and husband. He just walked away. When we got to the cash register, we mentioned the same to the clerk and she nicely said the front desk supervisor (Alyssa)is next to her. So we mentioned it to same request to the supervisor and she just told us "Lowe's cannot and will not make a sign." And her tone was not friendly either. At that point i became frustrated and just asked for the higher up. Terry the manager came up was very helpful and mentioned he will have the sign created. In the end we were hoping curbside pick was going to be easier but we thought wrong. We also felt an increased exposure to Covid-19 with the regular customers walking by because they were lined up when they did not have to be. I just wish Lowes in modesto will have more friendly and can provide excellent customer service like just like the manager Terry On another note. Today I took my families to Lowe's for their build and grow program. I normally go to Turlock however our Turlock store was full. We decided to head to the Modesto build and grow. Once we were finished with our fun time with the kids, I decided to look for some shower hardware I need it for my shower door. I needed the rubber that goes to the bottom of the shower door to prevent water from escaping while taking a shower. I walked around for ten minutes trying to find the hardware I needed but I was unsuccessful. I decided to look for an associate but they two I saw were busy. I again began to look for the item I needed and again to no avail. I decided to bother the associate helping a customer because I couldn't find the part I needed. She told me to look in isle 14 because she knows they carry the item I needed. She said if I don't find it, find the associate next door who would know where to find the item I needed. I went again to isle 14 and nothing. I didn't find what I needed. I went next door and didn't find whom she was referring to. I rang the associate button twice and waited for ten plus minutes and still nothing. This place was not hopping with customers so them using we just have been busy was out of the question. I must say today at the Modesto Lowes was a horrible customer service experience. I have never received this kind of service in Turlock ever. Modesto Lowes people are there to buy there items and get their jobs done. Today, you failed me! read more

I have tried to use Lowes for home improvement projects because I thought they would stand behind the products such as Lennox brand heating and air. It cost me $13000. for their system and have only used it for less than year and a half before a pump went out and could not use AC during heat wave. The company Lowes had install this system now no longer works on these. They sent me to someone else who is now charging 120.00 for labor and 60. for the diagnosis. Lowes agreed to pay the diagnostic but not labor. Bottom line, I was sold a faulty system for huge dollars and I have the potential for years to come of having to replace the pump every few years. DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT and do not think Lowes or Lennox will take care of you. My next step is consumer affairs or potentially a lawsuit for being sold faulty equipment. read more

Need to upgrade my rating for Lowe's. Had a real good experience this last time. Was actually greeted upon entering. As I was walking towards the hardware area an employee walked up and asked me what I was looking for. I told him about my project and he assisted me with everything I needed. He even told me which items I had on my list that i really didn't need. He was right. What would have cost me over 150.00 only cost me 65.00. He saved me over 50%. The service here is nonexistent. Both the appliance section and door section were not initially manned when my wife and I went to look for a new dishwasher and screen door. First off, on the dishwasher side, the person that finally did come to help us had no idea what he was talking about. This is a big problem, because Lowes has all of these "Lowes only" dishwashers so they can prevent you from doing the price match thing. It is a borderline scam and you need a helpful sales person to help you figure out what features you are actually paying for. We gave up and ending up buying our Bosch from Sears. On the screen door front, we were equally as frustrated. Apparently they have no idea how to order a 8 foot screen door. When I asked the guy if he could get me one, he acted like I was trying to order something totally crazy like a rocket propelled scooter or something. There are probably 10,000 houses in the immediate area that have 8 foot tall screen doors and this guy has never heard of someone ordering one? I think this Lowe's might just be poorly managed. I had a three star experience in Livermore. Now I just do all of my shopping at ACE or Sears because both places are helpful and I can get what I need without all the hassle. read more

One of the worst customer service I have seen in my life. The flooring department in particular has the worst service and to say the least most dishonest supervisor that I have ever encountered. To begin with, I ordered some tiles assuming they would be exactly like the ones on our floors. The flooring supervisor told us yes we have the exact ones in stock. After delaying for a few weeks he said they don't have the exact size they have a larger version. We agreed to that. However, from day one they delayed not having certain parts and they were looking for them and finally it came the day to start the work this is 3 months later from the charges they did on pour credit card. at that point they said oh we can't align the tiles with the existing ones. Couldn't they have said that from day one so we didn't have to go through the 3 months of agony? We cancelled the order and it still took them 3 weeks to return our money that they had since August 2020. Got a great deal on garage cabinets, pantry racks and closet systems. Had them delivered within a few days for $80. The delivery crew was pretty professional and took care not to damage the cabinets. I assembled everything myself but it takes a couple of hours. I gave this 4 stars because I feel like it was kind of hard to find someone at the store to help me with questions. Even before we stepped foot into the store, we were really turned off, the shopping carts were absolutely filthy outside, Debris etc. in many of them.
