I usually have a decent experience at Lowe's, and they're generally well stocked with what I need. This store is always clean and presentable, but the customer service is somewhat inconsistent. Pickup is smooth and easy with Lowes and so is renting their carpet machines. The carpet machines are always in great shape and the price is pretty good imo. They always have clearance items too and so you can snag some good deals at Lowes. The crew at the flooring is always great, and we've had very good experiences with them. The older gentleman we usually speak with is a great guy and helpful. In other areas of the store, we've encountered some employees who seem particularly grumpy, always appearing annoyed when asked a basic question. Customer service and nicely organized stores are what set Lowe's apart from Home Depot, but overall, the customer service is the same in my neck of the woods for both stores. read more

Took 4 days to get my fridge, tried to deliver a very damaged item that I was told was scratched. Dented and scratched are two different things, lots 3 days of working waiting for a fridge with a seven year old. Then was told they should have offered to leave the damage fridge until replacement came. That was NEVER given to me as an option. I could accept a damage fridge in the motor with $500 discount or get a new fridge. I went with new fridge and call per mgr request for a refund for all the issue and lost time. I got a whole $50.00 that I have to use in this store. I will never shop at Lowe's again they are not a company of their word. DON'T BUY FROM THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT!! read more

After looking over more than half the store for ice melt, I went to the checkout area to see if it was placed near the exit door. It was not. So, I ask the short brunette woman stationed at the self checkouts. I ask her if she knows if they sell ice melt. She asks me, "Pet-friendly or not pet-friendly?" I reply, "Either." She says, "Pet-friendly is in aisle 1, and the other is in aisle 15." I thank her and go to look again for it. There was NO ice melt in either aisle 1 nor aisle 15. So, I walk back to the self checkout to leave. She was there. I say to her, "There is nothing in aisles 1 and 15. Her response in a breathy voice was, "Really?" What a bitch! Later I realized that I should have known that she was bullshitting me. Why would Lowes have the ice melt in two different locations. What a fricking liar. Typical of Lowes. read more

Contractor Eastcoast Millwork tried to install wrong size door with frame. Ruined or broke my wood trim. Took 6 months to get installed correctly and door is now 32x79 which means I have to special order screen door now. Door used to be 32x80. Broken trim put back in place with clear caulking now can't stain the scratches. Eastcoast Millwork had come to measure, required inspection x2 lost first one then 2nd because I don't know what I'm talking about. Worker removed my security came so he could pee corner of my house. Doors cost 1,250 installation 3,500 no deduction for time or damage. The worst. read more

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I moved to the area 8 months ago and visit this store very often. The staff is always super helpful and pleasant. I went in at 930 on Friday night and there was a couple buying a lot of things checking out at closing. Diane had her stuff with her and was walking out the door but saw me waiting and dropped her things to cash me out. That's exceptional service. I used to manage a retail store a long time ago and you don't find people like this anywhere. Well done!! I also chatted with a couple other guys, one in the lumber section and he helped me find a piece of PVC and then walked through practically the entire store to help me find something else. And there was David in the paint department who was also super friendly and helpful and walked me to various areas as well. I really appreciate the quality products and friendly, patient staff here. My boyfriend and I walked in about 15 minutes before close to grab a dehumidifier and the staff were super friendly. I asked for help and was immediately pointed in the right direction, finding what I was looking for. After deciding on the 35 pint Hisense Dehumidifier, we go to pay cash at the self checkout and the bills get jammed in the machine. I was using a bunch of small bills (oops) on a purchase of $211 and there was probably five minutes to close. The male staff member at the self checkout had a great sense of humor and was super kind and patient as another female staff member fixed the machine for us. Once we got home and let it run for about 3 hours the basement floor was COMPLETELY DRY! The tank filled up about halfway and I decided to turn it off myself, although it does have a automatic off feature. I'm so grateful we were able to run in last minute and get what we needed, because I could not bear another night of wet feet. Thanks Lowe's Milford!! read more

I came into this location to buy a fridge for my Dad. They delivered him a new fridge with lots of scratches & dents on the front & sides. I called to get it replaced, and the (?) manager said they would have to pick it up & have it inspected before a determination could be made as to how they will proceed, which would have left him with no refrigerator. This is the 2nd bad experience we have had with this location on an appliance. The return/customer service dept with this store is AWFUL to deal with! Shop elsewhere! read more

I LOVE Lowe's! Before I drove an hour to this Lowe's because they had the special product I needed, I called to make sure it was in stock. The employee in the Garden Center was very helpful and quickly verified it was. When I got there, the same woman was helpful and informative. She had been busy reorganizing a section, it is Springtime and the Garden Centers have been quite hectic. But she came right over and helped me load the items into my cart. I so appreciate good customer service at Lowe's! We have owned a real estate investment and renovation company for 10 years, so we do business at MANY Lowe's, we have not had a bad experience yet. I ordered a garage door opener and paid for their "installation", if you can call it that. The idiot was here for hours. He put all the heavy stuff from my old opener in the recycle can. I will not even be able to get it out the curb it is so heavy. Then he tells me he cannot program the keypad. He's trying to call Genie but there is a 3 hour hold and he tells me he cannot wait 3 hours. He leaves. I don't even have a garage door opener. Then I call Lowes over and over. It rings off the hook. They usually just pick up and put you on hold but sometimes they just pick up and hang up on you. My phone counts the calls...6 total...How's that for quality customer service???? I finally get through to a human being. He said he would transfer me to a manager. She answers. I tell her what's going on and she hangs up on me. My only alternative? Dispute the entire charge...Just what I did..Try calling me Lowes..I'm busy too and sometimes my phone rings off the hook...Sometimes I pick it up and hang up on the caller especially if I see the caller is lowes. As I walk in im 3 steps from return desk there's an employee by the service desk in an employee jacket it said Lowe's I had said hi she says I'll be right with you in a rude.tone as she's pushing an empty cart to the foyer I said okay no problem can I just leave these sit here and go grab what I need quick as I was doing a return nobody else at service desk. Shortly before close completely ignored me as if she hadn't heard me 5 ft away from me! she turns around and walks past me with an attitude abd again says not a word and I said excuse me did I do something to you is there a reason you just completely ignored me she becomes for foul raises her voice and said I didn't hear you. Excuse me! first of all you're in customer service turn your tone down secondly always apologize all I did was ask you a simple question she then proceeded to start arguing with me and I said now you're arguing with me I'm not arguing with you then why are you exchanging words at me honey all I'm trying to do is return some lights that didn't work don't make this complicated don't give me attitude and certainly don't laugh at the customer which she did she laughed at me. This company has absolutely collapsed. I've been a Lowe's customer for what seems to be forever. Long preferring them to Home Depot. After experiencing the low quality of every product I purchased this past year, ranging from appliances, to propane tanks, I finally cut up my Lowes card and will gladly pay a little more to shop at local hardware stores like ACE etc. or even Home Depot. The employees are knowledgeable and polite but the quality of products and services is abysmal. It is a reflection of the company as a whole but I've had much better luck in the past with other locations. Lowes also needs to revisit their relationship with XPO logistics. read more

I ordered appliances about a month ago. The first two times Lowes tried to deliver them they showed up many hours before the delievery window with no warning. Of course no one was home. The third delievery showed up with damaged appliances. I was assured they would get it right after their customer service department penned a case and "escalated" it to a manager. I should mention they said a manager would call me within 24 hours but no manager has ever called me. Today would have been the fourth delivery attempt. The window was from 9:30am-1pm and was confirmed by a automated telephone call the night before. I waited until about 1:15 when it had not arrived yet called the number on the order. I was informed they changed the delivery date to next Tuesday. The customer service people the the usual transfer you around a bunch. Then I was told they are un able to cancel or refund the order. That they need to reopen my "case" and have a manager call me within 24 hours. I doubt anyone will ever call. I have disputed the charges with my bank and will not make the mistake of shopping at Lowes again. I would suggest you look elsewhere for appliances or any other products that would be delivered. read more

Just moved here, so I wasnt tainted by the reviews until I reading them just now. My assessment so far. 1. The parking lot design is a mess. I have almost had two accidents pulling out of the lot within the past month. I also dont understand why there are so many pro-services parking spots. I see random dudes parking there, so i do the same. 2. COVID has been rough on Lowes. It is completely hit or miss with the curbside pickup. Sometimes they have it ready quickly. Other times, who knows how long it will take them to pull the item. My last effort involved an item that turned out to be a special order. We had to cancel the entirety of the order since they wont pull the other items until the special order comes in. After several weeks and no idea from the vendor with the attic door would arrive, we just cancelled the special order. 3. Being from VA, I thought all Lowes were set up identically. Not this one. Row 1 has all the specialty hardware and such. Normally it is light bulbs. It is just enough different from other Lowes to throw me off a bit. 4. A highlight is that everyone has been friendly and helpful! 5. Lumber has been sketchy so far. Really mangled 2x4s, bowed, and lots of knots. I have to go through half the stack to get decent boards. Even when looking at some of the premium lumber, I have a hard time finding good boards. Lastly, the cashiers have been a bright spot. Extremely friendly and helpful. I also find that in general, the store is kept up and clean, as well as the restroom. I am a fan of Lowes because you cant beat their prices as compared to the smaller hardware stores. However, I can see myself heading to the smaller stores for small purchases and leave some of the bigger and numerous item purchases for Lowes. read more

Ordered two items for curbside pick up. It took three days for them to get the order ready. When I arrived I called the number for curbside delivery-the phone was answered and put down on the counter I said Hi several times no one picked up the phone. I Hung up called again no one answered. So I went into Customer Care they had NO customers but let me stand there several minutes before asking if I needed help. I gave the woman my order number and was told to wait it could take a while. I did not get my item until another associate helped. It was very interesting listening to the four associates complain about an employee who was a no show instead of waiting on a customer. This a stark contrast to the order I placed with HomeDepot Bellingham few days earlier- order was ready in hours - when I arrived the call was greeted promptly and item was brought to my car in a couple of minutes. read more

I signed a contract for a fence installation with Nick Grant, a Project Specialist-Exteriors, for Lowe's on August 12, 2021 at 12:41PM. The material was delivered on Friday, September 10. The work started on September 13 to be completed on the 14th. As I live next door to a Town Council, a "Public Servant" who abuses his power as he sees fit. The so called "Public Servant" decided to call the Building Commissioner to stop the work as he accused me of fighting with the " Mighty Town Councilor." The work has been stopped since then. Nick Grant called me two days after stating that I had three options: 1. Choose another material for the fence. 2. To remove the completed frame that was installed and be reimbursed. 3. To have the fence installed according to the powerful Public Servant have the "pretty side" of the fence to look at. My reply: Sorry! Because I have the right like everyone else to install a fence if I so choose and I am paying for the fence. I receive another call from Nick Grant on the 22nd stating that he will install the fence to satisfy the all powerful Town Councillor. Guess who is paying? ME of course. Today is September 30th, I am still waiting for my fence to be installed. read more

We just bought a new refrigerator here. Dealing with the sales staff was OK, although it was difficult to find someone to help us sometimes, and we are happy with the fridge itself, but the delivery service was awful. The first time they came, without the advance notice that they tell you they'll give you, they simply dropped the fridge and left. It wasn't properly setup and wasn't even unwrapped! Primarily, the doors weren't leveled. When we finally got someone to come back out, about a week later, they said it couldn't be fixed and we'd have to get another fridge, which took another week. Then it was dropped off, but again it wasn't setup properly and the fridge itself wasn't level (and again wasn't unwrapped!). On the third try we finally got someone who came out and in 15 minutes set it up properly. It had been about 3 weeks without a fridge. I will never buy an appliance from Lowes again. The store kept blaming the delivery people, who blamed the manufacturer, who blamed the store. read more

I couldn't let well enough alone. I decided to get flooring for my basement. I went in one Sunday afternoon and met a decent sales man and ordered a product. The sales guy was a little quirky but was nice enough. The installer called me. Now there was something off with him. I don't know but I could hardly understand him. Ok sure.. I call for the estimate and it is pricey, but I am willing to do it. They tell me I can't proceed until I come in and sign the contract. And this is where it all went south. First, turns out the quote was wrong. Some parts of the bill "dropped off". My god you would have thought that was going to eat them for dinner with the panic that ensued. But after about 30 minutes we got a price and I was ok with it. Until they hit me with it... I will have to come to Lowes and pick up the 42 boxes of Laminate flooring and bring it all into my house. They no longer offer delivery. Say what now? Not for a fee, not for anything. It is just me.. and I am not lugging 42 boxes of flooring into my house and also.. I don't have the car for 42 boxes of flooring. I hope that this policy is not true but if so, Lowes would be cutting out ALL women (who don't have an able body and willing husband) and all elderly or disabled people. And frankly, all people who don't have a large car. I went to Home Depot and they do have that, for now. So I will be bringing my business there. DO NOT ORDER A FENCE FROM THIS STORE: $14k PROJECT STUCK IN LIMBO -We signed a contract with Lowes (rep Mark Yetter) for a fence for our backyard on 4/28/22 and was told their sub-contractor could start in mid-June. -Mid-June came around and we hadn't heard from anyone, so I reached out to Mark and received an auto-reply email saying he was no longer with Lowes. I called the business line on his card and was told to contact the call center from now on. -I've been on the phone with the call center 10+ times (each call ranging from 30min-1hr), and they tell me every time that we are waiting on a special-order gate. They say there has been an issue with the store not placing an order with the vendor. -Whenever the call center places me on hold to reach out to the store for an update on the gate, they come back saying that "all of the managers are in meetings right now." -As of 8/26/22, there is no ETA on when the gate will arrive or when the project will start. -About 80% of the rest of the material was delivered to my house on 8/12/22, and has been sitting in my driveway ever since. One whole side of our yard is going to be chain-link, and no chain-link was delivered to my house, so I'm uncertain they will have all the material needed when the gate finally does come in. **If there is anyone who cares at Lowes who sees this: what will you do to make this right? This is a $14k project, and you are hanging us out to dry. I am not confident this project will be started before winter, and we have paid a sizable deposit. With the way things are going, I'm not confident the subcontractor will have all of the required material once the project is finally started. Would we be hung out to dry again if that were to happen? If you are unable to deliver on this project, will you ever admit it and give us our money back? read more

This is well below your standard bad review. We are looking at negative 10 stars here. It is probably going to require legal action and I strongly advise for anyone to stay far away from their flooring department. I ordered over $5500 worth of flooring with installation. Lowes in Milford. It took multiple calls to even get the supplies delivered. However, once the installers showed up, they just told me that it would cost thousands of dollars more than I already paid even though though nothing had changed since the quote and it is a rather simple job. It felt like a shakedown. Lowes subcontracts their installers but they haven't been any better at corporate headquarters. They promised me that they would make it work and never did. I am sitting here with over $2000 worth of supplies in my living room for the last three weeks and nothing to show for it. The next step is to call the Massachusetts Attorney General's office to see what we can do about fraud and general consumer protection from this store. It will happen because I will not give up. I don't usually give bad reviews in general but buying floors from this store has been an incredibly bad experience that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. They made me so mad that I willing to use everything I have to make them honor the contract that I have in hand. read more

I was so surprised to see so many issues here like mine. I have an HD in town which is way more convenient and super quick (less than 2 hours) for curbside service; but they didn't have what I needed. Lowe'd did. So I ordered on-line Friday morning thinking I would pick it up after work. Well, here it is Monday morning and my order is still in "processing" status. Ugh!!! I don't see a way to cancel the on-line order, so I am going to stop by the store tonight to see if I can just pick my own order. I am clearly disappointed in the service. read more

This specific Lowe's has always been my favorite location ever since I started shopping here. Sure, I was overly happy about the 90% off plants at the Framingham Lowe's, but this one is just the best. I regularly shop at the Dedham store, as I live much closer to there, however, if I'm doing a large shopping or looking for something that I need help finding, I normally make the trek out to Milford. This specific Lowe's sits in a very remote location, off Fortune Boulevard in Milford, with a gigantic parking lot and no other retailers directly adjacent to it. Service is consistently outstanding throughout every visit, and they always have a full stock in every department. The store is organized, well kept, and barely ever marginally busy. Employees are actually available to help customers throughout the store. It's never an issue finding one here. Over in Dedham, sometimes you'll be able to easily find someone and many other times it will be a game of hide and seek for at least fifteen minutes to find anyone that is knowledgeable about the department in which you need help. Prices are the same as other stores, and pretty comparable to Home Depot. A lot of the time, they have more options of products in comparison to Home Depot, and a lot of Lowe's company products, which sometimes are less. Then again, in other departments they sometimes don't carry some items HD does. Could go either way.... Rug section and lighting department are wonderful and they have a much larger variety than other Lowe's specifically in rugs. Paint department is wonderful (have gotten a few gallons from their before....), and the key-making people are also amazing. No self checkout at this location, but there aren't ever long lines, so it's not an issue. For a plus, there always seem to be some kids feeling something outside of this store. Popcorn, Girl Scout cookies, etc, etc. 5 stars for Lowe's in Milford. I wish they could share their "power" with other Lowe's locations. read more

I needed to purchase a new washer and dryer. We had gone in on Friday night and I saw a matching washer and dryer set that had been a floor model and was discounted. I went back on Saturday and unfortunately, the dryer had sold. Gary the salesman was able to help us select a different matching set, which had also been a floor model so we could bring it home right then. He was super knowledgeable about the product and he made sure we had everything we needed. When we were leaving he helped us to load the set into our truck. Overall it was a great experience and I am very happy with my new washer and dryer. read more

Great store, very friendly staff and willing to work on me with the prices on clearance appliances. I haven't had a problem with returns or purchases. My one and only complaint about the store is that I ordered cabinets (they don't stock the hickory ones) and when they arrived 2 of the 4 cabinets were broken (open the boxes BEFORE leaving the store). I had read this in reviews about these cabinets, so I knew to check them before taking them home. They took back the bad ones right then and there and put through an order for the new ones ASAP. I kept one of the broken ones because I could work with the break...and was give 75% off the already 20% reduced cabinet. TOTALLY worth it. Love the Milford store personnel. Great people. read more

My experience here was terrible, the employees here are next to useless and the setup/organization of the aisles is just as bad. Bunch of standing around by the employees who are barely willing to help you. I asked for someone to cut pvc for me, he did a couple cuts and then said he was too busy to finish it, no one from lumber would cut it, so i proceeded to grab a hacksaw from the shelf (of which I bought) and cut a couple of the pvc pipes, I was then told that I couldn't do that there and the employee had no solution to buying 10 foot pipes and replied "that is how they are sold" when asked how I would fit them in a car (I didn't want to waste money on buying 5 footers). Took FIVE employees over an hour to process a transaction correctly for 4 identical items mis-marked. Plus before even going called, confirmed that item was in stock & price to then at store try to charge double! No resolution or compensation to a botched floor installation. Going on 2 years trying to get satisfaction. Now I'm told it's out of warranty. Also bought a $1,000. Snow blower last December. When I return it in late summer for an oil leak. They wanted to charge me for the repair even though it was still under warranty. They do not stand behind their products or service. read more

We just had an $800 dishwasher delivered to our house. It was dropped off with no installation. We called the store and inquired about this and were told we were supposed to purchase that separately even though none of this was mentioned to us at the store. We paid for delivery which was offered in assumed installation was included because it was not mentioned as a separate service. RID then told that there was nothing they could do unless we wanted to pay $500 for somebody to come and install it! By far the worst customer service! read more
