What a joke. I ordered this morning and got a note to pick up my order at the wrong store. This seems like a solvable problem... they had the merchandise in the store. They had to cancel the order and put it in again. And an hour plus I was still waiting on the customer service team to get this close out. I finally left with my merchandise but will have to return "sometime" to finish the transaction. If I could give a 0 I would, I purchase a washer and dryer on Black Friday, I told the guy that was working in appliances that I would pick it up on Sunday and asked him if I needed some type of paper or needed information and he said that my receipt was enough so I'm there on Sunday to pick it up and the rude ladies working there tell me that I already picked up my washer and dryer?!!! Like seriously how? I talked to customer service and told them that how could that be possible shouldn't they have some type of paper work or information on that? So finally after 30mins they tell me it was miscommunication and that my items are still there that all I had to do was wait.. well we waited about 30 more mins until they finally brought them to us.. I come home open the boxes and my washer is DAMAGE! The corners are bend and scratch and has dents! I called back several tried attempting to get a hold of a manager and no one answers!. After several times they transferred me to the supervisor for the paint department the manager was no where to be found no one could tell me how or when I could get a hold of him.. how professional is that not only do I have to deal with rude service from incompetent people that have been poorly trained and lack customer service but I can't even get a hold of the manger of the facility!!.. with that said the gentleman in the paint department told me to bring back the washer and they would switch it out because damages do happen and it's common with items like that, that's what he literally told me, yet it is so inconvenient to go back and forth and make us wait and tells us and makes us feels bad for something they have no clue about!. My husband and I were trying to get several thousand dollars worth of deck supplies and yet no one could be bothered to help and those that tried didn't have the training to do so. We even ran into trouble trying to sign up for a Lowe's card. They were running a special promotion if we were to sign up that weekend. We decided to go ahead and get a card given the amount we were going to spend. The clerk spent over 45 minutes just trying to type in the application. She kept calling managers for help. No one could be bothered to respond to her and other employees that tried didn't have a clue what they were doing. We finally gave up, cancelled the application and waited for a manger. First employee I've asked to help me just brought me to the aisle, and the took off. While other employees were helpful in locating an item it did not justify my time looking for the item. I've spent over half hour to locate a minor part for garden equipment that I've purchased at Lowe's. It also took 4 employees to help. What I learned is give up on the box store that lock proper employee training in service. The sales person handling water heaters this morning really gave off the vibe of not wanting to be there, and had a bad attitude in general. I went in at opening to buy a replacement water heater with installation. Once you pay the $259 installation fee, the installers come out to deliver and install the water heater later that day. In my case 5 PM. I can't say that my experience was typical, I can only review what I had happen. The installers showed up and couldn't wait to ask if Lowe's explained there would be uncharges. I was told there could be upcharges to bring everything up to code if needed. I understand a reasonable installation incidental fee, but the extra cost was going to be over $500. So a $400 water heater was about to cost $1312. The really surprising part was the complete apathy from the moment the guys arrived. It was after 5 PM, the installers looked tired and I couldn't help but feel that the goal was to come up with such a high price that they'd either take a sucker's money or be happy to go home and just collect a $35 delivery fee. These folks went the extra mile for me, climbing high and low to find shelves for me that were out of stock, yet they dug through their stock and found a forgotten, and full box of these shelves for me. Do not buy doors here! Paid 35$ to have someone come out and measure our French doors to be sure. After 5 weeks we heard nothing. Went to the store twice asked for manager both times. Lowe's, Lowe's, Lowe's! How low this store has fallen in the area of customer care. I have been a faithful Lowe's customer for many years. I have spent many, many hours and dollars in another Lowe's store in California before relocating to Texas. Of course, the first place that I headed when I arrived here was Lowe's. I had contact with no less than five Lowe's employees and encountered in passing several more. No traditional Lowe's greeting, no request to help and no SMILES. People, they told me Texans are super friendly!! What happened here? I asked questions about an area rug I wanted to purchase and got smart ass answers from one young guy. Obviously, no filter there and he LITERALLY looked down his nose at me, a woman. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm? ( Guess what, guys. Women can fix things, too, and spend a lot of money in Home Improvement stores.) Then I made my final decision to go back and spend the $300 on the rug and got a smart ass female customer service employee. I was NOT in a good mood that day and told her that she was two seconds away from getting her head verbally removed so she'd best tone it down. She then grabbed the rug and flung the statement over her shoulder, "I'll leave it at check out for you," and disappeared never to be seen again. That aside, the store stock seems to be badly organized and limited compared to what I have previously encountered. Instead of schlumping around being rude to or ignoring customers, I think the staff's time could be better spent organizing and spit shining the store a bit and tuning up their customer service skills. Home Depot kicks your butt, guys, and I really have preferred Lowe's. Maybe one of the other Lowe's locations would be a better choice for me. EEK! This store is very disorganized. Manger (older female blond) along with Keri the manager for flooring. Should not be representing this store. I used to be a big customer. We had ordered a wood flooring for our home. The job was done completely wrong. lowes hired a subcontractor called Flooring Doctor who did not level our floor correctly. In stead, this added concert to our floor which was way to for 1/2 of the floor. Lowes was to support and garnet the work. Which did not happen. They need help with project management, every appointment, supplies and communication was misrepresented. The understand of what would be done and should be completed never happened. We wasted over $5000.00. We never received the proper repair work to complete the job. So our floor has to be sanded down and redone by another company. Although the repair appointments where set several times. The older heavier blond manager from the 183 Leander, Texas store. Came to our home the day the project was to be redone, with excuses on why they would not be completing the work. After being told by Keri the floor manager that they would be repairing the misstates. They messed up our baseboards, left a big mess in our house, made appointments and never finished or completed. We wasted our money, they destroyed our home, we spent 2X's the money then if we went with a real Floor company that was not managed by lowes. So annoyed with this Lowe's. I've been doing a lot of house renovations which included getting carpet so my house has been a reck for a good two months. While going through the whole process it of getting carpet it was rather difficult. After getting our rooms measured by a Lowe's employee we received a call stating that it would be $3,633 so we get a bank loan for this amount. We go in to sign papers and checked the price it before signing and it said $3,858 so we questioned it and told them that was NOT the price we were first given. After the man looks and try's to figure it out he could only mark it down to $3,756 and didn't know why whoever called us would tell us the other number. We then sigh and they said they would get it in and installed on the 8th of January which was fine because I am pregnant getting induced on the 9th and would have a little time to get the baby's room together. Today we called to make sure everything is in order only to find out they will not even have our carpet on the 8th and even if they did they are all booked on that day and couldn't do it. Im severally pissed off with Lowe's. I have been living in a mess trying to not to set bedrooms up too much be courteous to the people who install our carpet and make it easier but now screw it. Ordered a stone in early September, they had trouble getting it in in the estimated time, ok not a huge deal. When it came in they setup delivery and called a few minutes before the beginning of their window to deliver letting me know the item was damaged ( wasn't noticed or wasn't damaged when it came in). They reordered after apologizing. I wasn't happy but again, things happen. Almost 2 weeks pass, i did get an update they were having trouble getting a new one in and then when the NEW new one arrived it was also damaged. Again sometime after they notified me it was in and the delivery. I am letting them order a third one because this is the stove i want for the house but I will probably now drive the extra 15 minutes into Cedar Park to go to Home Depot, even though generally i have preferred Lowes in the past. read more

Management is very unprofessional! Purchased a dishwasher and it has repeatedly broke after having for about 10 months. Purchased extended warranty plan but Lowes will not replace unless same part has broke 3 times. Well it's the 4th time a technician is coming to repair and have had to hand wash dishes for a total of about 3 months. They refuse to replace or give a loaner. It's very frustrating the money spent and when we speak to management they reply with call 1-800 Lowes. They are supposed to hear our problems and solve them, not a 1-800 number. Once a lady manger said, "oh we can send one of our "better" technicians to fix it". Seriously?! Management is never apologetic nor they couldn't care less. Service for customers in the wood supply area sucks! Was there on 1-30-18 to buy and have some wood cut, when I arrived there were four workers one in a forklift and the rest standing around. When I asked about getting some wood cut, you would have thought I had inconvenience the pope, I was rudely told wait over there and someone will get with you. Ten minutes later someone did show up, but in the ten minutes I was standing around, all I could see was the forklift driver doing all the work, while the other 3 stooges were standing around pointing at different shelves. You won't get my business in the future that is for sure. I bought what I had to that day but the next items I was gong to buy that day are now being bought at your competitor business. Lowes way of doing business is all about them and not their customers and how they treat them nor how they treat veterans. Early April, we bought a washer from the clearance area that had been repaired and had 1 scratch on it. It took a week and a half for them to deliver it. When they tried to set it up, a hose was broken and flooded the laundry room and foyer of our new house. the driver contacted the store. The option was to send it back, buy another and wait another week and half to get it delivered or keep it and wait for repair. We chose to call Lowe's Advantage to get a repair. They contacted Maytag to get it fixed. The repairman drove 2 1/2 hours from San Antonio to find out what need to be fixed since neither the installer, store manager, or Lowes advantage told them to bring the hose. It took another week for the part to come in, at which point the repairman made another trip from San Antonio. Lowes advantage contacted us later to find out how everything was to which we again explained the ordeal and they said they were sorry and would like us to visit Lowes and would send a gift card to entice us back. It has been 4 months, since we never received the gift card we've done all our new home purchasing a Home Depot without any problems. Jeremy from Lowes advantage left a message to which I just returned. The service agent that answered stated that Jeremy put a note on our account that he spoke with us, checking everything was fine. I never spoke with him and the situation is not fine. To the agent I stated that "the washer was working but I'm not impressed with the way it all played out" She said she was happy it was working now but seemed dry and without conviction about anything else. I do not at all feel the situation is resolved. Store manager should have trained repair guys to run items they repair which would have discovered the leak. Work out a better delivery schedule to get customers what they ordered. Lowes Advantage should care more about their customers. They should also do a better job of relaying information about repair work to get the right part installed sooner. I'm glad we never got the gift card because now I never have to set foot in that store. Although the fault of the problem lies solely with Lowe's, Maytag had to pay for the repairman that came twice from San Antonio. Just wrong!! Purchased the PVC trim board that is suppose to be better than lumber. Spent quite a bit more than I would have on lumber. The brand was Royal mouldings and initial cut and fit up we're great. After two weeks it actually shrank and left large gaps at the joints. It also curled and warped. It is meant to replace outdoor wood trim and is suppose to be superior to wood, but now I am out almost 600 dollars and have to redo everything. No response from Lowes on this issue read more

Worst service ever in a retail store of any kind. Complete lack thereof actually. Rolled in about 630 on a Wednesday afternoon to buy a ceiling fan. Found the ceiling fan I wanted. As I went to checkout I realized they only had 1 lane open by the pro desk area with a long line of unhappy looking customers. They also had the self checkout running, which would normally serve me just fine, but before attempting to checkout I realized my wife had my Lowe's card so I would definitely need someone to look it up for me to buy this ceiling fan. I walked up and down the checkout area looking for anyone in a red vest for assistance... *crickets*. Not a soul except for the elderly man running the single open checkout line by himself who was swamped and looking frustrated himself. The long line waiting for him grew longer and more frustrated. I loudly asked, "Does anyone else work here?!?" *crickets* I decided to leave and let Lowe's know about it on my way out telling them I won't be shopping with them anymore. As I left I finally saw one worker come out of hiding, who instead of asking to try and help me or anyone else for that matter, she just shook her head in disappointment of an angry customer and went back into hiding. I went to Home Depot on Parmer and 1431. I was immediately greeted by someone when I walked in. Three other employees said hello to me and asked if I needed help finding anything as I made my way through the store. I found my ceiling fan, not the same model but comparable and less expensive than Lowes. I checked out with ease and went home a happy Home Depot customer. I will be cutting up my Lowe's card and mailing it back. Good luck shaking your head at your customers. If it wasn't for Yelp requiring me to give you one star, I'd give you zero stars. I went to this location with the intentions of buying my mother a new washer and dryer set that she's been talking about and a drill set for myself and uncle. That didn't happen. I worked at a Lowe's in round rock for a few years and always made it my mission to say hello to Everyone and provide great costumer service and even though you always get "those" customers that are having a bad day and take it out on you I still loved helping people and being nice to people. That's not the case here at all! I asked a few employees for directions on where I could find certain items and they were very rude! They rolled their eyes at me and gave off big sighs as if they were annoyed at my question. Once I found the area I was looking for I remembered that Lowes has a credit option and decided to apply for a card. Once again I asked an employee for assistance with applying for a card and once again I got an attitude and eyes rolled at my question and was told to just go to customer service. When I was employed at lowes we were to walk the customer to customer service and rum the app our selves or just give the cashier our code so we would get credit for it so I wasn't expecting to get an attitude the my request at all. And it didn't get any better from there either. When I came to the customer service desk there was a couple people ahead of me. 1 lady was running and application and the other was on the computer and talking. The customer in front of me got her attention and told her I needed help. The lady comes to the computer and says "what did you need" I reply I would like to apply for a credit card please. She replies give me your ID very dude. As I was going though my purse to get my ID out I couldn't find it for some reason. I just had it in my hand and misplaced it in just a couple of minutes. As I was trying to apologize for the wait I asked. You wouldn't be able to just take and she cut me off. And loudly said No I need your ID! I was going to ask if she could take my ID number and another for of ID. But being cut off while I'm speaking is really disrespectful and rude and she pretty much yelled at me. I just walked out and didn't buy anything at all. But wait there's more! When I got into my car I decided to call the manager on duty and when I was trying to tell her what happened to me and how I just walked out without buying anything because the employees were incredibly rude and not providing customer service at all. She laughed. That's right. The manager was laughing in the phone while I was telling her how awful the store was. I dont know what the deal is with this store but would have never happened at the round rock store! Purchased a Sta Green Broadcast Spreader and Sta Green Southern Weed and Feed. All wanted to know is what setting the spreader should be set on for proper coverage of this product. You would think by calling the Sta Green number printed on the spreader 877 521 7855 they might know. After giving the bar code numbers for both products the CS rep said those numbers are not in there system. They said the product number was for a Scotts product. I insisted it was a Sta Green product. They said it might be a discontinued product. This product is in Lowes current line-up and website. They transfered me to Lowes customer service. After giving the Lowes product number for the spreader 269069 and the Weed and Feed number 809777 the CS rep from Lowes didn't know so they gave me 888 233 3047. Selection 5 was for Sta Green products. They said they had no information on the spreader after giving them the Lowes product number 269069. The spreader setting for many other brands was printed on the bag but the same brand Sta Green was not on the product. They transferred me to a parts line and they requested the product number off the instruction manual for their product. The book had no product number on it but the spreader had product 75260 on it. They said they did not have this product in their system, that they were for parts only and suggested I call the Lowes store 512 260 5670. The CS rep in Lowes checked the product and verified that for Sta Green the setting number was for listed for 15 other brands of spreaders but not for their own product of Sta Green. They then transferred me to a Sta Green product rep that happened to be in the store. He said that the setting was number 4. I don't know how he knew this information because there was no indication of this on the product or the spreader. I hope I don't kill my lawn because it seems no one can verify this. It seems if a customer service number doesn't have the information they should offer to research it and call you back, not just transfer you to another number because they don't have to deal with it. read more

I shop at Lowe,s because it is close by, but never again. One of the cashier ladies in the garden section was beyond rude. I WAS going to purchase a variety of seeds, some soil and a few cinder blocks. She huffed and puffed about the cinder blocks and told me next time I NEEDED TO LOOK at the code for them. She had a book that listed every single block in the store. She said she did not work inside therefore she had not idea which block it was. Well here's the thing about that. I do not work at the store period therefore it is not my job to memorize UPC codes. It would have been very simple for her to ask another employee for help but instead she chose to be rude to me. I decided not to buy anything and left very disappointed in the way I was treated and I have decided from now on I will just drive those few extra miles to Home Depot where I have never had an issue with customer service! For the third time I have gone to this Lowe's to find a common household item that they did not have. The first two trips were for light bulbs. Lowes is closer to my house than Home Depot, and surely they would have common incandescent 40W and 60W light bulbs. Nope. I was not going to overpay for the LED or CFL bulbs. So I drove further down the road and bought them at Home Depot. This last trip was for air filters for my house A/C and light bulbs. They do not have 14 x 36 air filters. My house is like hundreds of other track houses in the area with the same A/C installation. But they do not carry 14 x 36 air filters. Really? So how many other folks have come in and not found that (or other) size filter? Also, they do not even carry the incandescent bulbs anymore. So off to Home Depot I go, and yes they have the 14 x 36 air filter and lots of incandescent bubls. In fact, Home Depot air filter and bulb selections are twice the size of Lowes. Lowe did have a large bucket with wheels and a pull up handle that would be perfect for my elderly dad to bring in groceries from the car. However, they are only for shoppers to put the merchandize in - they were not for sale. So I couldn't even buy the one thing Lowes had that Home Depot didn't.
