I have a 22 year old Honda lawnmower that was sorely in need of attention. No longer the one pull start darling it had been for years. And for some reason, it kept blowing the air cleaner cover off. I called Mr. Raine and described my issues. He assured me he could fix it. I hopped in my truck and drove up to his home shop in Leander. He greeted me right away and told me you can pick it up later today. Sure enough, he was true to his word. When I arrived, he described what he did to the lawnmower. Replacing the carburetor, sharpening the blades, draining the fuel tank. An overall check up. I cut my grass yesterday. With absolutely no issues. He did recommend that I replace the blade. And of course Amazon had something delivered the next day. Honda makes such a great product and it's rare in this day and age when something can actually be repaired. Mr. Raine is a solid, stand-up guy. True to his word. And he even gave me a guarantee/warranty till the end of the year. Said if anything comes up, just bring it back and we'll get you fixed up. I had previously tried a neighborhood lawn mower repair shop. It was money down the drain. If you have any issues with your lawnmower. Give Mr. Raine a call. He will get you set up. With a smile and a generous, genuine attitude. He's a solid dude. read more

He wouldn't honor my warranty after a few months and lied about telling me not to use regular gas and said I voided it. The warranty said nothing about that and he didn't tell me that anyways. I drove all the way out to Leander before he told me he wouldn't honor it and at that point was stuck paying a ton. read more

Great service and very responsive. Make your appointment first and he will get you fixed up. Recommend!

Raine tuned up my lawnmower, and rebuilt my carburetor, my mower is like new again! Thanks Raine! read more

Raine is awesome. He is fast. He is detailed and he is fair priced. I highly recommend him. You won't find anyone better.

My nearly 7 year old Cub Cadet push mower was running rich and started shutting off after a few minutes. Dropped it off with Raine and was fixed as good as new within just a few hours! I hadn't seen that mower run that good in a long time. Highly recommend taking your mower to Raine to get fixed! read more

Bad Fuel caused clogged carburetor. great service got my lawn mower back in action in a day.

Honest, professional, affordable and fast. I would recommend Raine's for any of your small engineer repairs.

Excellent service! Highly recommended. He overhauled the whole lawnmower: changed oil and filters, sparkplug, reconditioned the magneto, and sharpened the blade. It starts on the first pull now, and he provided follow-up maintenance advice. read more

the ad says they repair lawn mowers, riding mowers, etc and reviews reference Duane coming to the home to evaluate equipment. so I senT a query asking about checking my riding mower and servicing my walk behind mower. Note: I am located well within the displayed service area. The response? "We do not provide this service." Which leads me to : what?!? Is the ad false? Are the reviews fake? read more

So friendly, quick and helpful for a reasonable price! And our lawn mower has been running so well since it had it's overall maintenance, sharpening and repair to the carburetor. read more

I was dreading dropping off my Toro mower to A1 Power and waiting for a month for them to overcharge me. It always felt like I was putting them out using their services.... I doubt they like my residential business... Today, I found Raine's, who's shop is 3 miles from my door.... He's personable and loves residential customers and has lived in Cedar Park a long time. I work hard to keep my dollars in Cedar Park and you should too! Raine will texts when he's done with my unit, taking less than a day... This is a different customer experience y'all. This is the way it's supposed to be done; with a handshake and a thank you from LOCAL COMPETENT people. If you go someplace else, that's on you! I done told you where to do it! :) read more

Unbeatable rate and superior service. This place is the only call youll need. I requested quote on sun morning and everything was done by sun night. Needed to start my mower 8 times and it took 8 pulls no priming. I dont think it even ran this good new. read more

Raine contacted me less than an hour after my initial inquiry, allowed me to drop off my mower the next morning, and gave me a call with the issue about 20 minutes after dropping it off. He advised that it would be better just to buy another mower than spend a couple hundred dollars on repairs...taking money out of his own pocket! He's a rare breed and won't do you wrong. I've found my small engine repair spot!! read more

My lawn mower has been broken for 6 months. I requested a quote from Raine and had it repaired the very next day. He fixed it in less than an hour, told me what to do so that it doesn't break again, and gave me a 1 year warranty if anything else goes wrong. Incredible value for the money. read more

Took my lawn mower for an alignment issue. Nash, was a pleasure to meet and while we were analyzing what the issue could be, we found a spring coil out of its socket. Nash said I can fix it myself using some strong pliers. He could have charged me, but being the gentleman he is, he suggested I fix it myself and refused to take any payments for helping find what the problem was. It is rare to see such folks and I will be reaching out to Nash in the future and recommending him to all my friends. read more

I brought in my aging Craftsman lawnmower for a seasonal tuneup and blade sharpening. I dropped off my mower and the job was competed within an hour. The mower started on the first pull, which wasn't happening when I brought it in. Mr. Raine suggested using non-ethanol gasoline, which has greatly improved my mowers performance. Good, polite and professional service. I highly recommend Raine's! read more

kinda pricey so I had to take a pass. Mr Raine was a nice guy though. I probably should have tri to understand what the price might be ahead of time but in the end no big deal I just spent about an hour hauling my mower to his shop and then turning back around. Not a bad experience just couof not strike a deal. read more

Duane was great to work with and very quick to repair my mower. Highly recommend working with him on your mower needs.

Duane is the reason Yelp is so successful because it makes it easy to find trustworthy people you can trust! I had an old lawnmower that had been given to me that wasn't working. Duane took a look at it and was very honest in that it probably made more sense to buy a new one than having him fix it as the carburetor needed to be special ordered and replaced. It's rare to find people who are knowledgeable, trustworthy and willing to decline your money if it's not the best option for you so while I didn't have him fix my lawnmower, I'll definitely be coming back to him for other small engine repairs. Thanks Duane! read more

Raine's Lawn & Handyman Service - My grass was over a foot tall. I have an older Honda mower so needed it fixed to address this mess. - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Leander, Texas

Raine was very quick to respond when I found myself in need of a quick repair of my push mower that wouldn't start after I planned my Saturday around yard work. He said he could get me back up and going within an hour..and he did just that! I opted for him to do the full service which included an oil change and blade sharpening, and I don't regret it. He was very helpful in telling me exactly why my mower wasn't working and gave me advice on how to avoid having to call him again - that's how you know he cares about the quality of his work. He even told me he'd repair it again for free if it something happens to it in the next 9 months. He topped off my fuel and sent me on my way, and it's worked like brand new ever since. I'll be using Raine again for all my small engine repair needs!! read more

Excellent service and professionalism! Small engine repair one stop shop. I will definitely be hiring Duane in the future.

EDIT: (not sure what's up with Yelp's site, but it keeps flipping my profile back and forth from San Fran, CA and here. I'm actually in Leander) What can I say? It was exactly the kind of customer experience anybody would want. After first unsuccessfully trying to contact several larger lawnmower repair companies, I expanded my search and found Raine. I read quite a few of the Yelp reviews and came away encouraged. I sent a text to the number on the Yelp page, and Raine did not text back.......he did what anyone running a business should do, he picked up the damn phone and called me within 5-10 minutes. I explained to him the issues I had, and he was able to diagnose the issue and provide an estimate instantly. He was polite and courteous and very easy to talk to. Side note - one business I called didn't have a messaging service set up, so multiple calls went unanswered. Another's mailbox was too full and wasn't answering the calls either. The last I tried has a text message option on their company website. I sent a text Saturday and never got a response. I sent another text yesterday morning as well as calling the number directly (no answer to either). Get this...they finally called me back after I had already dropped off the mower with Raine. Their excuse for the delayed response was b/c they could not get their text/reply message to go through, so they "finally decided to just pick up the phone and give me a call". I couldn't help but laugh. What a novel idea! Calling the customer directly?! Who'da thunk?! Anyway, I asked Raine how quickly he could get the job done, and he told me if I got it to him that day, he would have everything done by the end of the day. Mind you, it was 9:30 when we spoke, so drop off was going to be 10am. I was mildly shocked, but that's exactly what I read in some of the other reviews. He's able to provide same day service. Absolutely fantastic. He ended up doing a full service job for me b/c I felt the price was more than fair. Fuel system rebuild, carb cleaning, fresh gas, blades sharpened, oil changed, fixed the pull crank, and repaired the self-propel that broke years ago. All that for about half (maybe less) than what a new mower will cost you. I was ecstatic. He had the mower ready to go in 2 1/2 hours! At pickup, he repeated everything he completed and even showed me that everything worked, so that there were no nasty disappointments when I got home. He gave me advice on how to keep very basic maintenance (short and long-term) and guarantees his work for 6 months. Any issues whatsoever, just give him a call, and it's done. I couldn't be happier or recommend Raine enough. Fantastic job. read more

My good but 1997 Toro mower wouldn't start, wouldn't even fire. Tried a new plug, no luck. So I started my Googling for a lawn mower repair service. This is always frustrating because invariably some guys look good and then you see they have a bunch of one star reviews. I needed my mower fixed asap as my grass was getting long and it had just rained again. I found Raine on Yelp, called him and he had me bring it out first thing the next morning. I dropped off my mower by 10 am and was on my way back to pick it up at 12:30 pm!! Raine is a good guy, honest, and doesn't exaggerate the potential problem. He fixed what was needed, tuned-up my mower and sharpened its blade. And the best part is that his prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Raine if you need your mower repaired. read more

I had my old Honda lawn mower serviced, I had not used it in over 2 years maybe 3+ years sitting in a shed. Raine diagnosed and fixed everything that was needed - and the turn around is amazing, less than 2 hours. This guy REALLY knows his stuff. He shared several tips to maintain my lawn mower much better that I had no idea. He also wants to hear back if any problems remain - great customer service. Cost is appropriate and less than some big businesses. Highly recommended! Note: he works at his house garage - and it doesn't cause any problem to provide high quality service! Awesome! NOTE 2: Yelp says I'm from San Francisco - I don't know where it got that from but I live in Round Rock, TX read more

It's hard to find repair services for mowers, especially if you don't want to wait a few weeks. Needed to get my mower up and running - I let the gas go bad. I tried to do it myself which was probably not such a great idea. After reading some reviews of other services, I wasn't too excited about taking my mower there - then I found Duane. Great guy with a lot of knowledge. Told me up front the cost - gave me some good info - finished in a couple of hours. Kind of reminded me of taking things to my dad - except dad didn't charge me :-) Thanks Duane.
