He engaged quickly, set up a time to come out to my house, spent time diagnosing the mower, and showed me the part that was broken. He didn't have the replacement on the truck and I'd told him I was comfortable replacing it myself, so we agreed for him to come back out and adjust it after I replaced the rocker arm. On the second trip, Ken worked on the mower for a while to keep it from running too fast and pointed out a couple things I'd done wrong when I rebuilt the engine. Turns out I was going to need to rebuild the motor again to fix the internal part that wasn't working right. I tried to pay him for the 2 trips and he said he couldn't accept payment since he didn't get it to a full running condition. I have now rebuilt it, gotten it running again, and reached out to Ken to adjust it. He gave me detailed instructions over e-mail to make the adjustments myself since he knows I'm handy, and has declined my 3rd attempt to pay him for his services...again since he says he didn't leave the mower fully functional. You don't see this level of integrity, honesty, and consideration out of many people these days. If Ken won't let me pay him, the most I can do is give him a 5* rating anywhere I can. Great guy, and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing small engine repair.

There website did not suggest you had to have an appointment so I loaded up the mower and drove a half hour, arriving around 4:30 PM on a Thursday. There were three or four cars in the parking lot and no noticeable service bay entrance. I called to make sure I was in the right place for Cub Cadet riding mower service and that they were actually open for business. A guy answered and explained they would open the back receiving door after I came in to their service/sales counter. Great, open and in the right place! As soon as I walked in, with no other customers in the large showroom, a gentleman behind the counter asked how he could help. I caught the eye of other guy I must have spoken with a few minutes before and I said something to the effect "I just called and need to drop off my riding mower for service." The older guy immediately said they could not take my mower in today. I asked him if they serviced Cub Cadet riding mowers and he said they did but they could not take it. I was puzzled by his response yet he did not give me any additional information. I hesitated for a minute, then turned to walk out. As I pushed the door open, he finally added that if someone picked up their mower, they could take another one in. WTF? Sounds like they need to update their website to recommend calling first, or submitting a service ticket on line. This was a terrible example of customer service. Is their service attitude an indicator of why their showroom was void of customers? Do they rely heavily on fleet sales and service? Commercial accounts? I don't know. What I do know is I was sincerely disappointed with the first impression from the guy at the counter. I have owned four riding mowers so far (yes, I'm old) and I guarantee this will be the last Cub Cadet. I'm sure they don't care.

10 OUT OF 10!!!...will wander again. :-D…read more Absolutely blown away. Hill Country Water Gardens isn't just a nursery...it's a full-blown botanical mini-adventure. It's the kind of place where you come for a plant and end up staying for the vibes. Think of it as a garden center meets a peaceful mini outdoor museum. Everything is beautifully organized by plant type, making it easy to find what you're looking for...or, more likely, making it easy to get joyfully distracted while you wander. There are cozy benches for daydreaming, koi ponds full of personality, colorful lily pads that pop out and wave at you, and the kind of friendly staff that actually makes you want to ask questions. Inspiration? It's everywhere. From the water features, to the whimsical sculptures, to lush displays that make you rethink your whole gardening vision. There are restrooms if nature calls, and there are plenty of delightful garden goodies to buy/take home. It's rare to find a place that feeds your inner gardener, your creative soul, and your serotonin all at once...but somehow, this place pulls it off. I'm so glad it exists.

It is one of those rough-and-tumble serious cowboy-gear-fixing shops, and here I saunter in with some cutesy narrow high heels. Nonetheless, they got the job done right quick, in a matter of two days. Original cost for heel repair is $12.50 but because I had brought in 4 pairs, he discounted it to $10 a pair. I've heard of other shoe repair shops that charge less, but I figured the cost of driving to Round Rock to save $2/pair wasn't worth it. All in all, good quick job, decent prices, pretty helpful service. It does in a pinch, but like I said my job request was rather simple & straightforward.

After almost 2 months I got my briefcase back with the ugliest leather patch imagineable on it and they said they couldn't emboss it because their tools were too old. After looking at it for a while when I got home, I decided the patch is just too ugly and is ruining my nice briefcase so I ripped off the hideous patch and I plan to return to Capitol Saddlery next week to have them cover up the shoe shop's horrible work. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff!
