Terrible customer service. I needed one shelf. Just one. I knew the size and the brand. The aisle was blocked off for the entire day. I asked one of the 4 workers standing in the aisle if he could please hand me the one 24" shelf that was 3 feet away from him and weighed less than 2 lbs. Nope. I was told to come back the next day. To add to the frustration. I asked 3 different associates to tell me the location of the shelf brackets before one of them got it right. I had a picture from the Lowe's website of the exact item. If they can't help with a $15.00 shelf, there is not way I would go back from any other items. Sheer laziness. read more

Pathetic customer service. Had delivery of bagged mulch scheduled for today with a window of 8 to 8. Over weekend received notice that it would be between 8 and 12. At 11, received a call from unknown # but no one responded. Multiple calls to customer service for status but went unanswered. Finally got a manager who said driver left me message that truck was stuck in mud. I sure don't believe that. She called back and said would be here this afternoon but almost 5 o'clock and nothing. Twice in the last week my husband and I went to this location to buy a dishwasher, twice we were ignored. A couple of sweet girls asked if we needed help when seeing us waiting and said that the two men working the floor that day would help us. They did not. Today we went back and waited for the same man to take a customer ahead of us. He said he would help but instead walked off the floor and did not help while a girl was on the phone with a lengthy call. We walked out and will no longer shop at Lowes. The heavy set man working today was also the one working the other day when we there. We had a wonderful experience buying our refrigerator there with a different sales person. I called to ask to speak to a manager and they were all in a meeting. This tells me management is the problem read more

I recently purchased a brand new Bosch refrigerator from the Lowe's in Gainesville, VA. I also paid for them to deliver and install the refrigerator and haul away the old refrigerator. Turns out - Lowe's does not have their own staff to deliver and install appliances. They have awarded a contract to a third party contractor/service to do this. After the installer was done installing the refrigerator and had left - I noticed the tops of the two doors did not line up. The left door was noticeably higher than the right door - and this was also preventing the door from sealing properly when closed. I took photos of this, (as well as photos of several dents on the side of the refrigerator) and went back to Lowe's and showed them the fruits of their labor. So they scheduled a follow up appointment to fix this. I advised them the guy that was sent last time (third party contractor service) did not know what he was doing. They responded they would have them send someone else. So, the next day - they arrive - and it's the same guy who installed it. He looked at it for a couple of minutes, pushed on a couple of things, and stated I need the refrigerator doors replaced! I asked him to leave, went back to Lowe's, spoke to them again - and they said they would attempt to schedule someone else from the contractor to come out. I told them "No," they have no clue - and you as the company Lowe's have entered into a service contract with a low budget/low bidder for these services - a company that is clueless and incompetent. So then they offered me some money to keep the refrigerator "as is" (which is unacceptable) - or they would replace the whole refrigerator (guess what incompetent company would again deliver it and botch the install). Neither of these were acceptable options given the incompetence of the installer. So I called Bosch support and explained my dilemma. They issued a code to a local third-party Bosch-authorized service provider to cover the cost of the service visit - and so - enter "Top Notch Appliance Service." The guy who came out was the owner of Top Notch. After I showed him the fridge, before he even attempted an adjustment of the door, he checked and told me that my fridge was not even close to being level. Lowe's contractor did not even look at leveling the refrigerator. So he leveled it as best he could - I found out the floor in my kitchen where the refrigerator sits - is not level. After leveling the refrigerator, he adjusted the door. Took him all of 15 minutes or so to do what Lowe's contractor service stated would need a new door. Thanks to the code that Bosch issued - the adjustments were covered. One should not have to call the manufacturer for appliance installation support. I paid a lot of money for a high quality refrigerator - and a big chunk of change for delivery and installation - and it was done improperly. There is no accountability at Lowe's. Once Lowe's has your money - you are screwed. They don't care about you. I will never shop at Lowe's again. The company should be embarrassed over their low quality service. read more

On a plus note check out was a cinch. Good amount of registers open. Prices for lumber and hardware are up. Inflation is crimping all of our budgets. Will check other places for the railroad table. After moving in October to a new single family home, I've needed a lot of stuff and have ordered 9 separate times with delivery successful to my new address. However, last week their system had a major glitch and somehow reverted to the old address and also wouldn't let me complete the order - after submitting it kept asking me to re-login in again and again and again. Over 3 days i called and spoke with 7 different reps with declining levels of success. Long story short, I have 9 different pending charges on my credit card and what didn't get cancelled is being delivered to the wrong house. They wouldn't stop the deliveries, they wouldn't update the delivery address to FedEx, and although 2 reps told me they would refund the orders once delivered, now that some of the items are delivered, they are refusing to make good on that promise. The last 2 reps I've spoken to have suggested I take it up with my cc company by disputing the charges. Oh, don't worry, I will! And never ever shop with Lowes again! read more

Customer Service at (800) 445-6937. Called regarding my military discount going completely off the tracks with a recent requirement that my driver's license be used in place of my VA id. System won't accept it. Call Customer Service at number above, I'm told. So I do. Lowes says they record all these calls. I hope that they do, because mine could be sold to the Comedy Club. It was 30 minutes of Kowes rep making excuses, misdirection, I can't help you, I'll send it to engineers for a ticket, it's a problem with your Veterans ID (which I use on a regular basis without problem, btw). A horrible experience full of frustration and futility. At the end, of course, "Thank you for your service". If this is thank you, I would really hate to see what "We really don't care" looks like. read more

**This review is specifically for the employee Damien.** I came into this location looking to purchase a door for my house and needed assistance with finding the correct model. I found Damien, who might have been working in another area, and tried to contact his coworker to help. The coworker was on break, so seeing that my wife and I needed assistance, Damien took it upon himself to help. I was having a hard time locating the barcode information on the doors but had a picture for reference. Damien used the computer to look up the different models, and even when he had trouble using the code (it was a bad barcode), he was still able to find the door. He went above and beyond with assisting me with getting the information that I needed to make the purchase. I definitely appreciate it when you can get help with great effort. The service is very bad. I had to wait 15 minutes in the painting desk with no one coming. I kept asking a lady in the checkout kiosk and her attitude seemed like she did not care. She called someone twice, but she just called because I asked her that whether someone would come to help me or not. I want to recognize Denis of the Pro Desk who worked hard to try to get an item that was in the Lowe's system but had incomplete information. He subsequently took the trouble to contact the distributor who unfortunately give him inaccurate information about availability. Through this process Denis always called me back when he said he would (a rare thing in today's business world), and he made it clear that he would do whatever he could to see the situation through. In the end, it didn't result in a sale for Lowe's because another vendor had a strong relationship with the manufacturer and was able to get accurate information and place an order for the product. But Denis provided a level of professional assistance that I think deserves commendation as he went far beyond what I expected of an employee of a 'big box' store. read more

I spent $650 on a pressure washer which stopped working after 30 days and only one use. When I tried to return or exchange it they said there was nothing they could do. I asked to talk to a manager--15 minutes later Brooke came over, stood by the register and said NOTHING (as in, not even "hello") and then just walked away with Hanna. Nobody ever goes to Lowe's because they expect good service, but they seem to have hit rock bottom. There are too many options in the area to put up with their crap. I will NEVER be back. read more

Of course i said yes to my prince charming, so i hopped into my car and thought about where to go. I was going to go to target or walmart, but i thought "oh! Lowe's HOME IMPROVEMENT." I THOUGHT all lowe's had was tools and hardware and manly stuff, but what i found actually disgusts me. I found a portable bidet. That alone was vomit inducing. Selling something that has been up someone's butt should be illegal!!! I also found a kimchi fridge. This is America, nobody is eating old korean lettuce drenched in hot sauce. That is nasty. Our founding father, Gorje Washington would be EXTREMELY embarrassed to find out THIS is what you people are selling nowadays. Once i FINALLY found a drill, i looked at the price sticker and it read "$67.00." SIX THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR ONE LOUSY DRILL?!?!?! NO THANK YOU?!?! Thankfully, my knight in shining armor has a lot of them dolla dolla billssss. He makes six thousand dollars a year (pipe down ladies, he's mine.) He provided me with information to help me make a decision of which products to buy, and what would be more cost effective. He helped me find everything I needed for my project. Okay so unfortunately I have to leave a bad review due to management. The staff are great. My previous 5 star review still holds. But I just had a terrible interaction with their manager, Linda. I was returning some items unopened in their packages- turns out I'm outside the 90 day window (surprising) - as they used my credit card to look it up, I can't see what the date was when I purchased. I asked how far out of 90 days and they couldn't tell me. But somehow they knew it was outside lol. Anyway I ask if I can just do store credit, since if I didn't swipe my credit card that I would've gotten store credit because they have no idea how long I've had the item. The associate said he would go ask Manager to I said sure no problem. I actually never asked for a manager. But lo and behold, Linda, the manager, comes walking over with a bad expression on her face, and even though I say hi and try to be cheerful. She ignores my attempt at friendliness and just goes straight to an immediate statement that was aggressive about. If it's past 90 days you can't return it. No exceptions. She proceeded to treat me poorly as I asked her to reconsider since I could just come back at another time and not offer my credit card to return the items for store credit. Same response, more aggressive this time. It's wild the items I was returning was probably worth $20. I'm also a member, and spend a lot of money at the store. This level of customer service is just stupid and now I'll be more inclined to shop at Home Depot as their managers. Take good care of me if there's ever an issue. Hope this store gets better with their management, definitely would not recommend any kind of interaction with Linda. Maybe she was having a bad day, I hope that's the case. But regardless, pretty poor interaction to begin with with somebody who never even asked for a manager. Save yourself some time and just go to Home Depot. read more

This review is for Lowes in 7500 Broken Branch Ln, Manassas, VA 20109 and not Gainesville Lowes. Lowes has a deal if you buy one of three Craftsman Items for $99 you get one of a set of 7 items for free. One of the items in the to buy list it says V20 13 inches String Trimmer (Item number is included) Guess what, the item number and the description does not match. The Item number is for a V20 10 inches string trimmer. So I asked... "As a customer I don't know what the item number is, I go by the description and as the description is promising me V20 13 inches string trimmer can I get that." The agent called a manager and the lady said that I was right Lowes should honor that and asked the agent to sell me that but the system did not accept the item number for the 13 inches trimmer so she call called the store manager, his name is David, for price override. David looked at the advert and did not care at all and said to me "I don't care what the description is I go by item number and based on item number I am not going to sell you what is in the description." I said to him that by putting that description Lowes is promising to sell me that but you refusing to honor your advert you are not honoring your promise." He said to me he does not care about description and was unfriendly and sort of irritated from my question and left. I went to Lowes the second day and was curious to see if they fixed the description guess what no they did not fix it. I think I should be able to buy as promised the V20 13 inches string trimmer and get with it one of the free items as promised in the advert read more

I ordered an item from them online and scheduled the delivery for 8am to 8pm in two days (a Friday). They later sent me an email confirming the delivery on Friday and then another email that it would be delivered Friday between the hours of 8am and 12pm. I waited all day on Friday for the delivery and it never arrived. And I never received any notification that it wouldn't be delivered that day. I called Saturday and was told the delivery was scheduled for Sunday. They acted as if it was scheduled from the start for Sunday even though they had sent two emails confirming Friday delivery. And they wouldn't give me a narrower window for the delivery than 8am to 8pm. Totally disorganized. No care for customers once they get their money. read more

I recently purchased a dishwasher from this Lowe's. When it arrived the installers put it in, but didn't connect it right so as soon as they were done it started leaking. They back out to fix it and told me it was just a bad hose. When I hadn't heard from them in a few days I called the store and they told me it wasn't the hose itself, but that the dishwasher was broken and they would have to order me a new one as they had 0 stock (they didn't even realize they were supposed to order anything until I called them. The contractor did not follow up with the store). When they finally came and swapped it out everything looked like it was working fine but about 2 weeks later I noticed that they actually busted the cabinet behind my dishwasher (the dishwasher is in a cutout that sita away from the wall) so that the entire panel is loose. They did a pretty good job with my flooring installation, but I won't be ordering appliances from here ever again. read more

I placed an order for trex decking materials and was told it would be delivered 4/15. The day came and went and I called and they told me that I wasn't actually on the delivery schedule at all. She added me to the schedule for 4/18. I received an automated call with a delivery window the night before. Again, the day came and went and no delivery. They then told me my items weren't in stock and that's why it couldn't be delivered (even though I received a call the week before saying everything was in). Still waiting on my delivery and a call back. I'm not sure if either will actually happen. Even placing the order was difficult. Nobody in store could agree on the price for my items. read more

They contract out their deliveries and the service is unreliable and the store does not back the delivery company's mistakes (trying to come late at night, on Sundays or even when they are not scheduled, including bringing the wrong product). You would be better off paying the extra money using another store, other than Lowe's. It was funny because Lowe's made me wait until the next day to credit me for the wrong delivery that was not even taken off of the truck. I am still waiting for my credit and phone call. NEVER order CABINETS from this store. The customer service is the worst ever. I have worked with them twice now and never again. The cabinets never arrive without issues and defects. In one of our orders there was a live rat that ran through our house for two days before we found it dead after eating dried rice. In February 2021, I ordered six cabinets to go across from the kitchen. It is probably one of the smallest orders they have recieved, two large pantry and four small ones to connect them. They finally arrived in Oct/Nov 2021, and they ARE STILL SITTING IN MY LIVING ROOM. There is no project management at Lowes. They let their contractors take as long as they want without any communication. I had an installation date schedued at one point, and nobody showed. I called the number that I was given to call the contractor (Home X Remodeling) and found out that Lowes had changed contractors to CME Corp. three weeks prior. Not one of these companies thought it necessary to call and tell me about the change and delay. Several weeks ago, I thought we were finally having them installed to find out that CME sent someone to just open the boxes. I don't hear anything for weeks, I just called Lowes to report that CME is not communicating anything only to find out they are reordering all of the cabinets. I am supposed to just store all these cabinets for another 8 months while they replace them??? read more

So I asked the clerk if the these items were included and she just looked At me and said "no" and handed me my items and said next. So NO BAG. NO EXPLANATION. NO NOTHING! After calling and being hung up on, I finally got through to the paint counter to confirm that my order could be pretinted for curbside pickup. When I didn't get confirmation that it was ready after 5 hours, I called and was given nothing but attitude - essentially being told "I don't know when it'll be ready - maybe tomorrow". Keep in mind, I had placed two orders with Home Depot that were ready within the hour and were picked up with no issues. The next morning, I got confirmation that it was ready so I called to confirm that the paint was mixed. After being hung up on twice, I was told "We don't offer that service over the phone." I asked for the manager, and Tyler said the same. I asked what the difference was between having it premixed (matching a color he could pull on my account because I had simply run out of paint I'd already had) and having it mixed in the store, he said it was to avoid returns - which still made no sense. I let him know he could mark it nonrefundable, and he still refused, so I decided to go to the store and have it mixed. I saw the line was about 20 people deep, so I opted to call for curbside and then just walk it in. I finally got through on the third attempt. After being transferred twice, I was asked if I had an email confirmation that it was ready. I replied that I did and was told, "Well you're just going to have to wait then" and was put on hold. I waited for about 5 minutes before getting in the customer service line, making it to the front after about 30 minutes. When I got there, the CSR asked how she could help. I let her know that she could have helped by picking up the phone I'd witnessed her watching beep for the past 30 minutes, to which she replied "sorry". I gave her my order number, and it took her about 5 minutes to find it, even though it was in its own bin behind the desk. Side note - she was wearing a mask pulled below her nose, and the only other person "helping" her was not in a uniform and was wearing no mask. There was one 8.5x11 social distancing sign as well. She handed me my order without checking an email or an ID, and I didn't have to sign. I walked to the paint counter and gave them the information - only to have him mix it incorrectly. He told me I should take it home and return it if it wasn't right - so I had to explain that I would never in my life be stepping foot in that store again. To his credit, he kindly remixed the paint, leaving Lowes with the gallon they were concerned about having to refund. I was then again told that if it didn't match, I could return it... so I'm not sure what the problem was with mixing it for curbside pickup in the first place. In short, save yourself some trouble and go to Home Depot. read more
