Visited Lowe's home store at 4227 Corbett Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80525 to purchase a couple of items they did not have in stock at the store I normally visit. I get my items and proceed to check out. After I pay for my items, I look at my receipt - I am charged a "Front Range Special PIF" fee of $2.43. I ask what is a Special PIF fee, which the cashier tells me - it is part of the HOA for the shopping center. I asked where is it posted, it is not on the door of the store, it is not posted at the cash register, so you charge people without disclosing this PIF fee, which he replied yes we do? How can a company charge someone without disclosing a fee prior? Wouldn't this be credit card fraud - to bill someone even a trivial amount without first notifying them. On top of it, they do not even discuss the fee amount - it appears to be a percentage of the sale, but what percentage? That is not even disclosed. I ask for the store manager, he refuse to come speak to me, they sent the register supervisor, then an assistant manager - but the store manager was to busy to come down. I feel this is total fraud - to charge someone any amount without their knowledge. To do it underhand, in a way most people would not even see it. The in store employees were fine but my god their contracted installation company and Lowes' entire appliance operation outside of the store is an utter failure. DO BETTER! Lowe's delivered the wrong dishwasher, took our old dishwasher and refuses to remedy the situation. I have been on customer support for hours over the last three weeks being told a date for the delivery, only to call the next week and be told that it would be another few weeks. I was finally was told it was in stock by a corporate customer support rep and called the store to schedule the delivery. I was transferred four times before talking to a manager, Jeff, who told me it was my fault because I asked for a delivery and that was different from an install. After arguing symantics Jeff took down some dates that work with my schedule. He called me a left a voicemail that it would be installed next week. I had a follow up call with someone from corporate who told me it would be up to another three weeks. And they are unwilling to give me a refund because Lowe's has scrapped my original dishwasher they won't allow me to cancel for a refund, and I'm stuck with a dishwasher that costs $500 less than the one I ordered. Absolutely unacceptable and I will not be shopping at Lowe's ever again. read more

Ordered a GE dishwasher for delivery and install on 10/28/2024. On 11/06/2024 they delivered the wrong dishwasher, one that costs roughly half what we paid. We called within five minutes. As of 11/20/2024 Lowes has made NO effort to correct this mistake. We have called at least twenty times and gone in person, we are constantly getting the run around and told a different story every single time. Lowe's has no intention of correcting this, which is a shame because prior to this I enjoyed shopping there. For those of you having the same issues as me. Report to BBB and FTC, it may also be beneficial to report to the state AG. I had another review on here, but it was deleted (or at least I cannot see it now). Looking at the low ratings at this store and others in the region it's apparent lowes employees do not care about its customers. The question is why? Their is absolutely no accountability, which tells you it's a systemic cultural problem. This is not an individual problem...it's leadership. People don't care, when leadership does not care! We went to Lowe's 6 weeks ago to order blinds. We paid to have our windows measured. Someone came out within a week and a half and measured. We were told someone would call us within a day or two. 3 weeks later we called and were told the person who was going to call us back went on vacation and came back and went on medical leave. When asked why no one called in her absence....all we were told was Karen was out. No apology, no explanation and no interest! We eventually found someone else to help us. We picked the blinds, again, and was told we would receive the quote the next day. A week later we called and were told to talk with the original woman again (Karen). They gave us the cost over the phone at approximately $5000, which was fine. We needed blinds as we bought a new home and desperately needed something. We went in again to talk with Karen about the problems...we needed to feel comfortable someone would care enough to ensure the work would be done. Both women were at the store. We asked the second woman why she didn't call us back, she would only point to Karen and say it's her responsibility. Karen was full of excuses, but it was all about her...nothing about us the customer. Only finger pointing and indifference. Why is it so hard to spend $5000 at Lowe's? Doesn't anyone give a shit??? Again this is a leadership issue! I will be passing this note on to Lowe's corporate. Much like many of the other posts here, I'm absolutely shocked that this place is still in business and it hurts to leave even one star. My husband worked here for a few months and even he says he hates coming to this store. The customer service is literally non-existent. We needed help getting a vanity down and wondered around the store trying to find someone to assist. A pair of associates almost seemed to be actively avoiding us and a total of 5 associates over the course of us being there walked past and didn't even look in our direction. Just called to order the paint color I need so I could have it ready to just pick up and not wait around in the store for it to be mixed. The response was "we don't do that anymore, we're too busy." I'd go somewhere else that made my time a priority but unfortunately I'm getting this paint mixed to match the color my uncle already painted and it's a Lowe's color. This review is not about the store most stores are the same you have some people that are helpful and some people that are not my complaint is they have just raised the interest rate on my credit card to 31% and they've started charging me a $1.99 to get a statement in the mail. In order to check a statement. Now I suppose I can call which is what I will try to do but they want you to go online do all the hassle and expose yourself to hackers to save the $1.99. He was very professional, attended to our needs and took great care of us. He seems very well-trained and polite. I only gave Lowe's Home Improvement one star because Yelp requires at least one star in order to publish my review. If I could I would give them a big fat zero. My experience with Lowe's is a long story of pervasive incompetence, flat out lying, and not caring. Suffice it to say that had I heard the horror stories about our local (Fort Collins, CO) Lowe's customer (dis)service, I would never have purchased a refrigerator from them. It's been a 2-week nightmare that is still not over. And the store manager, Amanda Farmer, is a huge part of the problem. She's either never in the store or she's making promises that she doesn't keep. Totally useless, in my opinion. From what I've gathered from friends, family and acquaintances, the problems with Lowe's customer service are at least 15 years old so it has nothing to do with the Covid pandemic or current labor shortage. Through my own research I found that customer service is a severe problem at stores all around the U.S. which tells me it's a problem that stems from the very top. I can't believe they're still in business. For what it's worth, here's my advice: If the item you want to buy can't be carried in your own hands to the cashier up front, don't buy it. One of the WORST experiences I have ever had with a company! Lowe's used to be my go to place but never again! I order a new Samsung Dryer from their website. There was a 1 month delay to get the dryer delivered. I understand this, I know appliance are on back order. But the day they were supposed to deliver they rescheduled for another week out. A real pain since they won't give you a deliver window until the night before and I had to miss work again to have the dryer installed. The delivery driver smelled like a living cigarette, it was overpowering and so unprofessional. He never told me his name, never said he was with Lowe's and he wasn't wearing a name tag or uniform. Just some stinky joe blow guy. I showed him and the other delivery guy where the dryer was going. Then I let them do their thing. I was in the kitchen, it is adjacent to the laundry room. They were pretty quick. I had to buy two different outlets, a hose and about $89 of parts that I didn't need in order to get delivery. They guys never brought the "extra" stuff off the truck. I asked them to please give it to me since they weren't using it and I was going to return the items. They said, oh we put all of that downstairs with the older washer( I paid them to move it). Why would they lie? So I didn't check. They unplugged my washing machine in order to plug in the dryer. They didn't tell me anything. I was right near them the entire time. They never said anything to me about the fact that they unplugged my washing machine and that there was no plug for it to be plugged in to with the dryer plugged in at the same time. Not a fricking word about it. They left. I went to do a load of laundry and my washer doesn't work. So I call Lowe's and finally get someone who calls the delivery drives and he tells the Lowe's store that "he tried to tell me about the fact that there was no plug so they had to unhook my washer machine but that I was on the phone and not listening". This is a BOLD FACE lie!! I was never on my phone when they were here. I even asked it everything worked and they said yes!! So these idiots didn't tell me or try to tell me anything! They just left and thought that by the time I noticed they would be gone so it would be someone else's problem. Now I have a dryer I can't use and my washer machine is unplugged and I can't reach it or move the washer to plug it in. So I just paid $900 to have Lowe's make my situation worse. I called the 3rd party vendor that these fools work for and they honestly didn't care at all. They said it was a Lowe's issue. I called Lowe's and got the appliance department. That employee was a total jerk and didn't care at all. He said Lowe's hires 3rd party vendors and that I would have to deal with them. I asked to have the Store Manager call Me. I later got a call from the Assistant store manager. She was a little more helpful than the first person but also played the blame game of " we have no control over the 3rd party vendor. I told her I didn't care, I hired and paid Lowe's for the delivery and installation of the dryer. So her solution was to upsell me a new matching washer, A washer that I didn't want or need. Then it became a huge ordeal because I wanted them to come get the new dryer so I could be done dealing with them, get my refund and take my business to someone. This because a hug issue as well! I ended up calling the store Manager and telling her how I was frustrated and that the dryer had to be picked up immediately. They wanted to schedule someone to come get it in 4 week's! I told the MAnager that maybe she would need to come get the dryer. Sh was an entitled and spoiled brat! She said" Oh, I can guarantee you this, It will not be me. I said well you are the store Manager are you not? Her attitude was "not my problem". She never once apologized for anything that happened. After I finally got them to pick up and return the dryer they never issued me a refund! After contacting Lowe's I was told they had no log of the driver's picking up and retiring the item. What a cluster! (This was a 2 Month ordeal and they still haven't issued my a refund so I have to dispute it with my credit card x Company. Dear Lowe's. You have unresponsive and rude team members all the way up to and including the store Manager. Lowe's has HORRIBLE customer ! You have lost a costumer for life. read more

Worst checkout experience I had in a long time. I got some stones and only self checkout was open. So the clerk at the cashier had to help me finding the right QR code and was extremely rude. I felt almost like I had to excuse myself for shopping there. Similar experience last time I shopped there. My tip. I dont understand what people expect from the employees of a store the size of Lowes or Home Depot or any of the huge cement box stores. The lady at the returns desk isn't going to know the plumbing department, the guy watering flowers isn't going to know what the current credit special is. Each employee is trained within their department. Period. And once you get there ....the employees aren't going to read your mind - a lame attempt at eye contact or deep sighs around an employee isn't going to alarm them the way you think it is, they are tired, overworked, stressed out, underpaid, and if you need some thing ASK. Your threats of going to "Home Depot" means nothing to any one but you, not even Lowes cares. They are the same damn company at heart. Crappy. That's the price the public pays for wanting cheaper & bigger. The loss of smaller, more personalized shopping. Each one of those massive departments used to be a store in it's own right, an electronic shop, a lumber lot, a nursery....you give up a decent shopping experience when you put everything AND the kitchen sink under 1 massive roof. Lowe's/Home Depot/Sams same darn thing. Out of state corporate run, staffed by algorithms, the idea is to have as few workers in the store to run it & make the margin - the customer experience has nothing to do with it. If you need appliances don't go here, I know the COVID thing has hurt the supply, but when you pay in full for everything ,delivery,extended warranty and haul away, then wait six weeks, and they never once called in that time period. Then they finally said it's at the warehouse, have in the morning, we will call and tell you when we can install it, nope nobody calls, said it wasn't on the truck. Now they say should have one in a day or two, do they ever call? nope, and this is after he tells me they are keeping there eyes out for this dishwasher. So I call them did it show up yet? Oh, somebody came in wanted that exact dishwasher, so we sold it to them!! So we went back to Lowe's and got full refund, after it took 15 minutes to figure out how to do it. Horrible customer service. I called to get a microwave installed and I was passed on the phone - I'm not exaggerating - to 6 different people in a span of 3 minutes. I had to repeat my phone number and reason why I was calling each time, and I was transferred without being informed that I was being transferred. SO RUDE and disappointing. They also tried to get my credit card without confirming cost, installment date or even item that I am purchasing. I already bought a refrigerator from you guys and now a microwave and wish I had a better experience so I could come back whenever I need a new stove or dishwasher. Please get it together your professionalism is nonexistent. On top of that, when I went in store to look for something I had to ask 3 different people because they "pointed" in a general direction instead of just walking me to the item. Lowes is truly the most disgusting company on earth. I haven't had a working fridge in a month. I ordered from them a month ago. Here's what happened: 1. Online said that my fridge would be delivered in a week. 2. The night before, my delivery was delayed a week. 3. The day I was expecting it (more than 2 weeks after I ordered), I called and was told that they didn't realize that they didn't have the item in stock. 4. The item was again delayed a week. 5. I had to keep calling, never got an automated call and got the item delivered, but one of the guys hurt his hand so they couldn't bring it up/install it. I was told someone would be there at the end of the day. 6. The person does not show up because they didn't feel like driving here. I was never told. I was told they'd be here first thing in the am. 7. I had to keep calling. They told me that my location was not ideal and they couldn't come until 12-2 (aka not the first thing in the morning). My Saturday is now completely killed. Who knows if/when they will show up! Never buy from them. I deserve a significant refund from what I've been through. I purchased a washer/dryer on Saturday and was told my order was confirmed for Monday delivery between 8am-8pm, and on Sunday they would call with a 4 hour delivery window. By Sunday evening I had not received a call and called the store. It was the typical runaround and transferred phone calls with no answers. Monday morning I called the store 4 times before I was finally transferred to a person and not disconnected. Mine in the delivery department told me my order was taken off the schedule! There was no call, no email, nothing! Why they would make changes and not notify the customer is beyond me. I'll never buy from Lowe's again. read more

We bought a dryer and refrigerator from them. Never again. We bought them online after getting minimal assistance at the store. The delivery guys didn't take the door off (the delivery guys from Home Depot did when I bought an appliance from hem), didn't plug in the refrigerator or test it. They said they didn't have to, all they had to do was bring it in. They left chunks of Styrofoam in the driveway from unpacking the dryer. I didn't get called so I called the install people who told me that Lowes had not informed them a dishwasher was available. I called Lowes who said that while the dishwasher meant for me had been tagged for me, someone else came in and a clerk sold it to them. The clerk offered me a lesser dishwasher to replace it. Went home found what I was after and ordered for pu. Went back the next day and called the number on the signs for PU. No one answered. Tried again. The guy next to me was having the same problem. In the store I go again. Get to the pu desk who has to call someone form the back who has attitude. When I asked him if the phone was working he took offence. I ordered a hot water heater over a month ago. Paid for the installation as well. Keep getting the run around. I ordered it from the Longmont store, and selected free shipping to the Fort Collins store. I was then told anything ordered online has to come from the manufacturer. Been without hot water for a month and half now. Thankfully it's summer. Other family members I know have had bad installations and bad overall service through Lowe's.
