I get my items and proceed to check out. After I pay for my items, I look at my receipt - I am charged a "Front Range Special PIF" fee of $2.43. I ask what is a Special PIF fee, which the cashier tells me - it is part of the HOA for the shopping center. I asked where is it posted, it is not on the door of the store, it is not posted at the cash register, so you charge people without disclosing this PIF fee, which he replied yes we do? How can a company charge someone without disclosing a fee prior? Wouldn't this be credit card fraud - to bill someone even a trivial amount without first notifying them. On top of it, they do not even discuss the fee amount - it appears to be a percentage of the sale, but what percentage? That is not even disclosed. I ask for the store manager, he refuse to come speak to me, they sent the register supervisor, then an assistant manager - but the store manager was to busy to come down. I feel this is total fraud - to charge someone any amount without their knowledge. To do it underhand, in a way most people would not even see it. A line across the top of the receipt that does not even line up with ones purchases. Wonder how many THOUSANDS of dollars a year they are getting away with?
