I enjoy coming to this Costco. The parking lot is huge, but fills up quickly. The store is bright, clean, and laid out well. Staff are always kind and helpful when needed. I don't have a need to purchase a ton of bulk stuff these days, but I always come to Costco for my cheese and butter cause the prices are great. I don't expect luxury-level service from a big-box store, but I do expect a basic level of professionalism. What I witnessed was surprisingly immature. All I can say is: do not gossip and complain about customers while other customers are standing there listening. It's ignorant, unprofessional, and honestly laughable. If you can't wait until you're off the sales floor to vent, that's a problem. Whether comments are directed at the person overhearing them or not is completely beside the point. Customers shouldn't have to listen to employees mock or complain about people they're supposed to be serving. Felt like they were missing some staples of ours like specific toilet bowl cleaner and balsamic and other stuff. Their assortment of CSU apparel was lacking also. Tired of dealing with the hassles of Costco: 1) inventory overflowing into the aisles, reducing the aisle space for actual customers to shop; 2) why must they do samples at the busiest times, again reducing aisle space for customers who are trying to shop; 3) how about that moldy produce - I've stopped buying produce at Costco, whether it's berries that are moldy, potatoes that smell like diesel, or bananas that never ripen then overnight they go brown; 4) except for milk, which really isn't a "good deal" at Costco, we've also stopped buying dairy at Costco as we have opened brand new, sealed, unexpired burrata cheese and cottage cheese and it was moldy and sour - seems they weren't keeping it stored properly or something; 5) pet dogs in a grocery store, not service dogs or even ESAs, but very obviously pets; 6) incredible hassle dealing with Costco when trying to get a replacement order or refund for a lost online order (I'm now wondering if Costco ever shipped the items in the box in the first place) - lesson learned and I won't be buying anything online from Costco. Our membership renews in about 70 days - we'll probably renew for 1 more year, but as our kids start moving out, we'll probably cancel our membership - it's just not worth the hassle, and they certainly don't have anything unique to keep us coming back (Sam's Club actually has better product selection and variety, and you can order online for pickup or delivery). read more

This is an obnoxious place to shop,, and that's before you get through dealing with the employees. Employees are often rude, either running in front of you with our without a pallet jack, never saying "excuse me," and lacking any interest in making a customer feel welcome. Of course, there are no managers available, either in-person or on the phone. Prices are low, but I'm certain that's because you've sacrificed any sort of humanity by shopping there. As a member I visited Costco Hearing Aid Center, on January 16, 2026, located in Timnath, Colorado and had a very negative experience with Alexandria (Alex), (she/her) to purchase wax guards for hearing aids, which I have worn most of my life due to severe hearing lost. The hearing aid wax guards are small, essential filters that protect the hearing aid's receiver from earwax, dust, and moisture, preventing clogging and damage, and ensuring clear sound. I explained to Alexandria I was in Fort Collins visiting family and needed to purchase wax guards to ensure clear sound and was met with a rude, hasty, dismissive attitude of my request to purchase wax guards while displaying a robotic nature as her only question and concern was "did you purchase your hearing aids from Costco". I can purchase hearing aid batteries at Costco, but I was not able to purchase wax guards. I asked to speak with the lead audiologist, and was told an audiologist was not employed/available. I thanked Alex and left Costco. My experience with the Costco Hearing Center located in Timnath, Colorado was NEGATIVE and I felt like their only concern is profitability and NOT the needs of the customer and or patient. In my opinion Alex is not a good fit for the Costco Hearing Center due to communication issues, general mismatch in skills and personality for her position and negative attitude. read more

After coming from Texas (a different region to this Costco in Timnath Colorado) I'm so very sad to see how bad their member service is and true lack of it. I've always been a big supporter or Costco and truly believed in their member service and being worth the cost of being a member there. But after living here a few years since day one I've noticed how little the employees (not all but a large chunk of them) couldn't care less about the members who are there. We've been members my entire life from California to Texas, also having family members who have worked there 18 years, and I have always been such a believer in their motos and how they handle every situation. My mom and I went into Costco today and were excited to get a membership. We were directed to go to the customer service desk and were helped by Loretta. Little did we know we were about to have one of the worst customer service situations we have ever had. She was extremely condescending and continued to berate us about not choosing the executive membership even after we chose the gold star membership and had paid for it. Having Loretta as the first person we interacted with was a really negative way to start a relationship with Costco. We seriously considered walking out the door and never returning. I was hesitant to buy tires there again. It's not the quality or warranty, which are excellent; it's the time it takes to get tires installed. They offer online scheduling after your order arrives, but then you get there and they are understaffed (always), so you stand in line. You can't just drop off your car (they have to verify that they really have the tires and pull them), They even have signage for a drop-off register, but that is also used for walk-ins. You show up early, then 15 minutes AFTER your appointment time you get to drop your keys. I was expecting a long wait for the installation, but that appears to have gone smoothly. An hour later, I get a text that my car is ready. I go to the register, get my paperwork and am told they will bring my keys to me. I see my car still in the bay sitting there. 20 minutes later, they back the car out and bring my keys to me. I really thought they would have wanted to free up the space, but I'm guessing this is the way they can control the pace of their work. No free bays, can't start working on another car. I gave up years ago on having them swapping my snow tires. It's just not worth waiting for them to do it. I pay a local shop to do it and get it done while waiting. read more

I love this location of Costco. The are one of the few Costco's in the state that sells liquor, and the have a really good selection. The Kirkland brand is almost always very good, and believe it or not, the Kirkland brand of red wine in a box is a very nice wine. And I know wines! read more

I had a horrible encounter with Paul at the member service counter. I had a very simple issue (new membership card not working) and Paul was extremely rude and condescending and completely unwilling to try and help solve my problem. He kept rudely telling me over and over that I didn't come in within the proper timeframe to activate my card so my membership was cancelled, which was not the case because I came in the same day I applied. He refused to listen to me, convinced that I didn't understand or know what I was talking about. He talked down to me, used dramatic hand gestures, and was extremely rude. I felt so berated and humiliated. I could not believe how aggressive and patronizing he treated me for simply trying to resolve why my card wasn't working. Another employee took over after he got aggressive with me and solved my problem almost immediately. (Costco had not activated the right card, easy fix) There are multiple bad reviews on Google and Yelp calling out Paul specifically for being rude and condescending. This is an extremely well run store. Super solid management from the opening. Friendly and professional customer service almost always. The things I don't like: They introduce products that are great...... but then they disappear just as fast. I wish I could rely on consistent supplies, not a surplus store of one time it's in, and then it is gone Increasingly to my dismay, it's becoming more of a clothing store than food store . This is specifically for the tire shop. I'm a longtime Costco executive member. Ordered a set of 4 tires from them online. They emphasize "free install". Went to get them put on and they are booked 4 weeks out to mount and balance tires! They won't accept walkins unless you are there early in the morning (which my job doesn't allow) and won't let you leave your car overnight for next day service. I was essentially turned away and had to take my new tires somewhere else to get installed for $100. They didn't even offer any consideration/partial discount. Taking them to one of their competitors who can get it done same day. First -- and last -- time I will buy tires from Costco. read more

This Costco is located in Timnath, Colorado-border line Fort Collins. I enjoy visiting this one very much because to me , they have parking that can fit my truck (big truck problems) and the employees are very nice when I have to interact with them. On weekdays , it's not that busy after 12pm. And on weekends it still doesn't feel that busy to me. They have liquor sales here in store , for those outside side the state , let me reiterate from a previous Costco review , some Costcos have it next door and do not sell it in stores , depends on the county. I love ALL the Colorado local alcohol support. I've tried some of them from the distillery direct. They have tons of Colorado local products in general throughout the store. Produce , honey, meat. The worst Costco in Colorado. This Costco is on an island compared to the Denver metro or other places on the Front Range so that naturally causes overcrowding. Then they have too much inventory for the floor space they have, so they end up putting pallets in the aisles making moving around when it's crowded harder. And they're constantly moving things so it's hard to find what you're looking for and the employees, while nice don't know either. The check out lanes are a free for all! They need a traffic cop in there to direct people. There's always some clown acting like they need some granola bars and then come out the other end and jump the line. Inventory is all over the map. No paper towels today but toilet paper on every end cap. They have good deals on tires but you can't just buy them and have a tire shop install them. You have to have them install them. The tire employees are sometimes the same people boxing groceries. They put scratches on all four of my rims. I purchased GE Profile Washer/Dryer Combo from Costco, which was delivered in March 2024. Less than 6 months later, the dryer began malfunctioning. On August 13, 2024, I contacted Costco, and they scheduled a repair appointment for August 15, 2024. However, no technician arrived on the scheduled date. Upon following up with the repair service, I was informed that no appointment was on file. I reached back out to Costco, who scheduled another repair for August 19, 2024 with a different company. During the inspection on August 19, the technician identified the issue as lint buildup in an inaccessible component of the unit. He informed me that this component could not be cleaned and would need to be entirely replaced. He also noted that this problem is likely to recur due to the design of the washer/dryer. I have repeatedly contacted both Costco and GE, but neither party is taking responsibility for this defective product. After much back and forth, a Costco representative offered an exchange for a different unit, but I declined, as I no longer wish to purchase another appliance from them. I was then told that I would be transferred to the Appliance Team to arrange a return and refund. However, when the Appliance Team contacted me later the same day, they refused to process a return because the purchase was made more than 90 days ago. read more

I just wanted to give kudos to this Costco location. I've been here before many times and always a great Costco location like so many others. But, in these times of COVID-19, their prevention and care for their customers was fantastic when it came to the shopping experience. I traveled from a distance and loaded up on everything we needed. It was so much of a better experience than the weekly Walmart trip closer to where we live where people just weren't caring about social distancing or wearing masks as much. This location was stocked with everything we could have wanted. A majority of the people in the store wore masks and were respectful and kind of social distancing in large part because Costco and this location did a great job of enforcing that. Staff is always kind but in particular our cashier was very nice and spoke to us about the great weather and gardening. In general, the kind of positive attitude expressed by the staff here allows for it to feel much more normal in what is obviously a very awkward time for our nation and our world. Tire Center Review: I've been a Costco member since 2013 and cannot say enough good things about their product quality, variety and overall prices. I love Costco Timnath, CO TIRE CENTER, Completely different story I've replaced all tires on two vehicles and yeah, the price is good but the service was terrible and gauged on "failed tire valve" (that was a good one, but for another time) We just bought a new/used vehicle that needed tires before an upcoming trip out of state. Knowing what I was in for, I still went to them in effort to save a few dollars... 15 minutes and $1,500 later, it was said that the tires would ship by the 6th and could schedule install the following day, but they could not guarantee. Costco is a good company, I trusted they would knock it put the park... The 6th came and went with no call from them. Knowing everyone gets busy, I gave them 3 days before calling. First person I spoke to said they show "ordered" but they could not say if they shipped. I asked for a manager to call me. Manager calls and says they shipped. I asked when they would arrive and they said they don't know but it should be 3 days. While she is speaking, I hear her colleague in the back saying he just ordered and expedited them.... So wait, they were just ordered??? Needless to say, I went into the store to cancel and finalize credit return. It cost me $40 more and 90 minutes of my time to have a similar name brand tire put on that day at Integrity Tire in Windsor. For the past four years I have purchased for the Sr. Residents where I live two of your large Poinsettia's. They have given the residents many days of viewing pleasure. This year during the last week of November I made the same purchase. Unfortunately, the plants receiving normal care & watering, are turning yellow and dropping all their leaves and blooms. They won't even last until Christmas. This week I decided to feed them with "miracle plant food" to see if there is any improvement. Did I just pick sick plants or did you use a new vendor. Love the convenience of how close it is to where we live. The employees are very friendly. One thing that I have noticed and hear others comment a lot on is how you are rushed through the line. I know it is to keep things moving because it is a very busy place, but that part is hard on those with anxiety and it is not as personable as shopping elsewhere. When I was last there, 3 aisles in the back were closed for stocking fir at least 10 min , even though they had all morning to get that done before opening. Kate in optical is fantastic! My wife and I agree, give up your place in line in order to have her process your prescription. Kate looked at my new prescription and mentioned she did not feel it was correct, based on my previous glasses prescription. She fought for us, trying to get through to our ophthalmologist (not an easy task - we had given up). Thanks to her persistence they realized the error and confirmed she was right! When you live out in the boonies, you are always thrilled to get into a Costco. And this was one of the nice one (FYI - the Costco in Eagle is without a doubt the best one I have ever been to - really plays to the Vail and Aspen folks). This Costco was well organized and well stocked. The sample people were out in force. I love that. We thought we were going to be stuck in a long line - but wait!! They have done a fantastic job of restocking through this COVID time. They have also done a fantastic job of monitoring how many shoppers are in the store at any given time- in an effort to facilitate good opportunities for shopping with a good amount of space around one's self. Staff in place to clean carts before shopper use. Also- they have marked many products to limit sale per unit, per person- I find that this is an effective medium to keep the store filled for everyone.
