I ordered a whole pizza through the kiosk. About ten minutes later my number was called so I got up and tell them my number. One of the workers said "Oh it'll be a few more minutes." So I go sit down. About ten minutes pass and I am literally the only one left with what started about 15 people waiting/ordering food. People after me already received their full pizza orders. I go up and ask how much longer. Turns out it had been ready. I tell two of the female workers that about 5 minutes ago I went up and they told me it wasn't ready. Instead of apologizing for the mix up the two female workers straight up laughed at my face. Mistakes happen which I understand. But laughing at a paying customer? Costco do better. read more

This is an update. Costco is the retail boss, and everybody else is fighting over the silver. The gas station sells high-quality dinosaur squeezins for 20-50 cents per gallon LESS than everybody else. I've never had a problem with a square wheeled cart at Costco. The store carries almost everything you need, and most of what you want. The employees are taken care (I.e. not enriching billionaire overlords) , and if you DO find something bogus, their return policy is the best. Costco.com is another treasure chest. Do me a solid and upgrade to the Executive membership - you'll get 2% of your spendings back, and you can get cars, car insurance, drinking water for damn near cost. High quality rotisserie chickens for less than cost. A huge slice of pizza for 2 bucks, or the whole pie for $10. It is amazing what corporations can accomplish when greed is removed from the bottom line. I have been a Costco member for as long as I can remember. As a former employee and frequent shopper, I can tell you that Costco is far superior to Sam's Club. My wife and I had a membership before the Timnath location opened and we made the trek to the Thornton store on a regular "Costco day" for all of our favorite items. We were ecstatic when this store opened and we are in there at least weekly. I was excited to see that they added alcohol sales to the floor recently and we enjoy browsing the options there when we are in the mood for a good wine, beer, or whiskey. The bakery items at Costco are the best and I often will bring a Costco bakery item to a potluck or gathering, knowing it will be well received. The gas station is where we most often get our fuel and we have even purchased tires and large appliances through Costco (washer/dryer and dishwasher). They have a great delivery service available and the service is always outstanding! Pro tip: If you find yourself eyeing a hotdog while in line, make sure you pay for it at the register when you are checking out and you can skip the foodcourt line and just walk up with your receipt. read more

This place is about like visiting a Wal Mart store. Lots of discount stuff but not much of the specialty items I buy a membership for. About a third of the usual food items I normally purchase are no longer available here. Went in for new tires and tpms sensors. Had appointment, Costco said it would take up to an hour. Received a call after an hour but was a dead line (in the store). Went to the tire center and they were unsure if it was done. Finally they said it was done and gave me a key. I told them that was not my key but they insisted that it was. Went out to car tried key fob but it was for some other car about 6 cars away from mine. Went back in demanded my key when they found and then a tech came at me saying that the TPMS light was still flashing an error and to give them another ten minutes. Poor experience!!!! read more

Great Costco location that isn't too busy and has a good selection. Customer service and member services have always been kind and helpful when needed. The only downside is a lack of cart return areas in the parking lot - they are only located on the outskirts of the lot, so if you park anywhere in the middle, the carts pile up in the lot or you have to walk in the cold to return it indoors. read more

I've lived in Northern Colorado long enough to no longer consider myself a Californian, but I have to admit that Costco has been dearly missed -- I just haven't been able to justify a membership while having to drive to Thornton to use it. Soo ... I've been anticipating the opening of the Northern Colorado location all summer, and it did not disappoint. An advantage of building in Timnath was that they pretty much had a green field to start with, so many of the inconveniences of the Costco "back home" -- inadequate parking, narrow crowded aisles, not enough cash registers -- just weren't an issue here. I stopped in for their "VIP preview" last Wednesday, and despite the misgivings I felt while stuck in traffic that was backed up for a couple of miles west on Harmony, once my friend and I made the turn into the parking lot it was incredibly easy to get parked and into the building to check out the store. My first shopping excursion was during the Broncos game on Sunday, and again easy peasy getting in and out, and there was no line to speak of during checkout. All of this ease meant I had plenty of time to find things to do major damage to my wallet. C'est la vie. read more

While visiting my cousins in Colorado we all decided to go to Costco, it was mine and my husbands first visit. When we walked in the setup was much like a Sams, they even had the samples to try like Sams. All the workers were friendly and the place wasn't too packed. But they had a great selection of clothing, otc meds, goods, and produce. I was very impressed with the cleanliness. I am generally a fan of Costco. The Costco website as of November 10, 2020 indicates that healthcare workers get priority access and can go to the head of any line to enter the warehouse. I tried to take advantage of this at the Timnath Costco. If you are a healthcare worker be advised that the Timnath Costco does not recognize this policy. They did say that there were "extended hours" for healthcare workers but they did not know when those hours might be. read more

We travel all the way from Hawaii and go to a Costco, yep...we did! LOL! It was a different experience. In Colorado, they don't sell alcohol in stores. So if you want to buy, you must go to the alcohol sales area just outside. Interesting and don't totally get the point being it's still apart of the building. We stopped here on our way back home after visiting with the Lambspun shop. It's convenient location (right by the highway) was perfect. In general Costco's gas prices are awesome, so it got us to go there. While there we decided to go in and pick up one item and ended up buying a whole cartload. No surprise there, that seems to happen often. I don't even remember what the one item was! Unlike the last Costco we went to that wasn't our regular one, we loved this one. The energy, people, and product availability was obviously in tune with us since we left with so much. I had only been two a Costco maybe 3 times in my life prior to this store's opening in Timnath. I still don't understand the obsession with driving hundreds of miles to get to a store like some people seem to have, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the price and selection of what they offer. The employees have always been very nice and very helpful in Timnath. Which was highly magnified, in my mind, after 2 recent encounters of subpar customer service at the Broomfield and Westminister stores. This review is for the tire center. After a long day of hiking followed by a late lunch in Loveland, we were dismayed to come out to our car and find a flat tire. While my spouse was on the phone with AAA, I called the Costco tire center to see if they could help us out. The gentleman who answered the phone was friendly, sympathetic, and assured me they could help us. Once AAA had our spare on, we drove to Costco, and an hour later, all was fixed! Enjoy shopping at the warehouse on a regular basis. They seem to rotate a quality stock of specials in addition to the essentials. Have had multiple very poor customer service experiences though with membership department and customer service. An individual, Paul, was especially rude and inconsiderate. I was told by one of the other customer service members to go stand in his line after waiting in her line for 10 minutes seeking assistance with their credit card. He immediately told me to go back to that line and makes the comment of "good talk" and throws his hands in the air when I told him I was told to come see him specifically. I wish I could put negative 1 for the review. This store is HORRIBLE and the people in the tire department are rude and so unprofessional. I had a flat tire and pulled up at 5:35 and they close at 6 so they said "they're not changing tires anymore". I explained the situation that I live over an hour away and had a puppy in the car and just needed some help and the mechanics were so rude and annoyed. They did not want to help at all, mainly the mechanic named Nick, he was VERY rude for no reason. Then they wanted to say that my membership expired but I just used it so I know it's not expired. Costco's policy of early hours for the senors/high risk was a great relief for myself in the over 80's age bracket when it was introduced. It seems it has now be taken over by younger age individuals. More younger than 60 and in good health outnumber the elders and health challenged in those time slots. Prices: Generally awesome, though do some comparison shopping, occasionally your grocer does beat them out Quality: Simply awesome. Kirkland Signature generic brand all the way. As good as the name brands anywhere. Also noteworthy: The Optical Department: They are phenomenally cheaper, dunno how they do it even. Glasses are the same quality you'd get anywhere else. However, I was surprised to learn that since my girlfriend has a membership and I do not I could not use a debit card or credit card to pay for things. I can pay with cash but every piece of plastic had to have her name on it. I'm also not a fan of how they droped the American Express card. They now want you to use a special Costco visa not an ordinary visa but a Costco visa. I understand this is a very low margin business but things like this don't feel that customer friendly to me. read more

I loveee Costco! Growing up in Hawaii, Costco is a big deal. It's where you go to get pretty much anything you want: macadamia nuts for gifts, poke or other seafood, cheap rotisserie chicken, computers, cameras, books, gas, cheap hotdogs, pizza, free samples, prescription meds, and even clothes! I love how Costcos in each state will sell local items, that they have a great return policy, and I think their prices and quality are better than Sam's club. So happy that there's a Costco closer to Fort Collins now, as I can get my new tires rotated here and can stop by every now and then to stock up on toilet paper, paper towels, snacks, and just browse. I'm sad though that you can't buy the cheap alcohol here, as I don't think the stuff they do sell is really affiliated with Costco. Weird CO liquor laws. Also, I think it's inconvenient that if you bring a guest in, they can't pay with their own credit or debit card. I ended up having to purchase my guest's items for them, although I suppose if they were paying with cash they could have handed me the cash, but who carries around that much cash anymore? Anyways, overall, I think it's worth it to be a Costco member, and if you have to choose between Sam's club and Costco, go with Costco! read more

We always feel like we're unique as a customer when we walk into Costco. We bring our daughter, and she's always greeted with a smile from the lady who checks our membership card. From there, we can basically feed her as we walk around shopping from all the displays that are set up throughout. Every employee is very helpful there, and they are able to tell you exactly where to find everything. Speaking of everything, they have even began to expand their organic selections for food, which is awesome to see. We were checking out the other day, and noticed that the meals there are ridiculously cheap! You can get a massive hot dog, or a slice of pizza with a soda for I think under 2 bucks. Ballpark prices can't be found here, which is awesome. There is even a gas station right there that has discounted prices for members, so we try to fill up every time we are there. Doesn't matter what you need, you can get it here! We'll keep going here for a while, and avoiding Walmart! read more

I have been in the Costco store twice in the last month. I left both times wishing I was back at Sam's Club. The first time the associate grabbed our basket and pulled us out of line to let someone she had been helping be next. No explanation, no apology, talked with a supervisor who voiced he would talk to her during her next break. I hope he did. Today, one week out of knee surgery, my groceries are being scanned and I think I see something wrong and attempt to ask the cashier. She talks down to me like I am a toddler. She did not address the problems except letting me know I was wrong, all without even looking at the receipt. Just lost all my respect for Costco Customer Service. Purchased a dishwasher and the price included delivery and installation. Received a conformation email showing the delivery would be in the morning and installation would be in the afternoon. The item delivered on time but never heard from the installer. Called Costco and turned out they dropped the ball on scheduling the installer. With the old diswasher already ripped out and the new one sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor we had to install ourselves. Company was coming for Thanksgiving and we needed the kitchen. Called Costco Customer Service, explaning the problem and requested reimbursement for the installation cost. THEY DECLINED. Customer service explained that they could have rescheduled a installer for after Thanksgiving so their not refunding install cost. What a heartless attitude. We pay for installation and Costco pockets the money because the don't have to pay the installer. Never again will we depend on Costco for these type of services. Today I had the worst experience at this Costco! I drove about 30 mins to get here and was kind of astounded at how I was treated today. I have been a customer for 2-3 years now and I come a few times a month. They are not consistent at checking cards at the door and sometimes they check sometimes they don't. It's annoying because you never know what to expect some days I have it out and nobody checks it and other days, like today I didn't have it out and was in a rush. This lady with a bun and a puff coat or white vest stopped me today and asked to see my card. I said why didn't you card that person pointing at the lady in front of me, and she said she had her card out, which may or may not be true. And while I'm digging it out of my purse I asked her why some employees card while others do not. She looked at me and said yea, that doesn't happen we always card and I said no you guys don't and rather than her saying I can't speak for other employees blah blah blah she got an attitude and got combative and said yes we do. Challenging me while calling me a liar, I was actually a little taken back. It honestly felt like I was a criminal and trying to sneak past the gatekeeper when in fact I'm a paying customer. Which by the way, what is the point of checking cards anyways, you can't make a purchase without them. Checking cards twice is a little ridiculous. I got to the self checkout line and I took the redbull case up with me and scanned it and then when my hand was free tried to scan my card, the system didn't like it so this lady came over to me and yelled at me talking to me like a child so I rescanned my item and thought it would have captured the product and she yelled at me again. She tapped her finger on my screen while telling me you have to rescan because see it says zero dollars here. Again treated like a criminal as if I was trying to beat the system, yelling at me in front of other people. It was super stressful and really uncomfortable. I don't support employees behaving poorly to customers that are contributing to their paycheck. I don't think I want to continue to pay for this kind of treatment and honestly there are other locations that I can go to. These ladies are power tripping over a pretty basic job, they probably shouldn't be an employee here because they forget what their purpose is, to help and be kind to customers. read more

I live in Arvada but use this minty fresh new Costly-co to help out our CSU student daughter and her room-mates buy some of their groceries in bulk to help save $. Have had no issues with customer service, always have a good experience there, but also believe you get back what you put in. There are two sides to every story so I never put much stock in those that claim the employees are not so good or whatever. We are also decades-long members since the Price Club days and have the Exec membership and we spend just enough to offset the cost to renew. Word of caution on fruit and veggies lately (Jan 2016). Seems to be an issue with some of the produce becoming frozen at some point, then thawed and of poor quality once it reaches the floor. Hard to tell in the packaging this has happened, but even if I buy a blister-oak of apples or bag of onions that are bad in Timnath, I can still return them to the Westminster store with no problems. Bought two end tables and one had some slight damage. Went back an hour later to exchange and LISA in customer service said, we don't carry these any more. I said, I just bought this an hour ago and there were several. Lisa said, oh, take it with you, get another one and take it through the regular line to exchange. Okay, well, tried that, that didn't work, cashier said, I can't do exchanges. Had to go back to customer service. It was clear that LISA did not want to help me. Costco always manages to get the long lines handled quickly-Sabrina is the best. Very efficient. Store always well-stocked with seasonally appropriate items. Generally when they are out of an item, that's it, but you know that. One time, they ran out of some hiking poles we really wanted and the store manager went out of his way to get us two sets of hiking poles from a store in the Denver area. Outstanding. Their produce, meat and other fresh items turn over very quickly, and as a result everything is very fresh. Prices on the whole are unbeatable. Love Costco. Do check out the liquor store, which is independent, next to Costco. They have a very small but eclectic and competitively priced selection of wine. read more
