Absolutely terrible experience. Went to order blinds for my new-to-me home. First attempt failed; no one could figure out the computer system to update my store profile to my new address. Left frustrated. Tried again about a month later. Not one associate could be located in the blind/window treatment area. Found someone in flooring and was told "not my department" nor would they have anyone paged. Went to the Service Desk to have someone paged; could find no one available except a guy from plumbing who "has been here a long time; he'll know what to do". He didn't. You'd think by now I'd have learned my lesson. Tried a THIRD time and finally someone was there to assist. Placed an order to have Graber come and measure and align the color. I SPECIFICALLY asked when I placed this order if I could pay part of the cost with a Lowe's gift card (that I'd received as a housewarming gift). Was told YES. Go to pay the estimate by calling the Lowe's Project Center and was advised that I CANNOT use Lowe's gift cards for projects, only in-store purchases. Stopped in yesterday in search of one item. A GU10 35w 110v light bulb for my oven range hood. Search high and low and found every other voltage except for 110v. No one around to ask questions to see if they could order or had it and were just out of stock. I know they cannot carry everything. But, this is a pretty common bulb used in a ton of range hoods installed in Ryan homes in the area. Might be a good idea to start carrying it as I'm sure tons of owners are going to start coming in looking for it after their new builds 1-2 years ago. Left disappointed they did not have it and no one else in the area did either. Which resulted in more disappointment when the only place I could find it was direct from hood manufacturer at $38 a bulb plus shipping. read more

Delivery driver hit my house and cost over a thousand dollars in damage. Lowes is saying it is not their fault and unwilling to pay for damages. They are saying it is the subcontractors fault. Full Story: -I flew to Beavercreek to setup our new home 30 days before my family arrived. I had a fridge delivered, the team installed and plugged it in. All appeared fine. - Drove the Uhaul up 30 days later with $300 of frozen food/baby supplies, and refrigerator wasn't cold. - Called Lowe's (spoke to "D" for first time) and they said they wouldn't replace, and I'd have to call GE (Keep in mind I paid for extra 5 year warranty, expecting some level of peace of mind) - I call GE. First tech can't come out for 9 days. After 3 more phone calls, they send a tech out after 3 days. The tech runs a diagnostic, the fridge is leaking, but he doesn't know from where. He orders parts, schedules a follow up for another 8 days, and won't label the product as "replace". Come to find out, the parts are backordered until 23 July. - I go up to Lowe's in person. Initially floor employee was looking for ways to help me. Says he had to talk to manager after seeing they had product in stock. Of course the manager is "D". Employee comes back to me and asks whether I had a service call or not yet "because details matter." I told him I did that morning based on "D" earlier recommendation, but no repairs had been made to the fridge and no parts have been tampered with. "D" comes over. After 10 minutes of arguing, it became clear David could care less that I spent $3400 on ge Lowe's appliances, I had a 2 year old, baby food and home food is spoiled, and we would be spending 100 dollars a day on eating out (more considering I have in laws and parents in town the next day for a week). He just stated he did care, and have a good day multiple times. I told him if he really cared, he'd find a solution to taking back the lemon fridge and returning to my house with a new one that works. Again repeated that it's my problem. I told him he'd care more if it was his family going through this, to which he repeated his fall back line of 2-day return policy and have a great day. Even the manual says it may take 24 hours to cool...I was back home from my flight within 24 hours thinking I had a working product from Lowe's. It was all I could do not to turn around when he yelled "have a great day" to my back from 40 ft away/across the aisle. He made sure he got the last word in to impress his employee. The best part is the first question GE repair asked me was "did you go back to the distributer and ask them for help or to replace". This is my follow up phone call after Lowe's said it wasn't their problem if they sell lemons. If Lowe's or "D" really cared about my family, they would've taken the lemon fridge back and had a new one out the next day. Would've only cost the store sellers price which is probably between $500-1k (assuming ge didn't reimburse them for the bad unit), and they'd have a satisfied customer. Instead, they took the route of "we don't manufacture, we just sell" and decided they'd rather have a family suffer for 12 days following a move than fix the problem for $1-2k. I'm sure their end of year manager's bonus base on store profit only motivates them further to not help customers with bad or faulty products. The only thing I can do is spread this story (though "D." told me he didn't care about that either, and I said I understand I'm just a number because they have a thousand customers a day). I came to Lowe's an hour before close (sadly one of those customers tonight) to finish up my kitchen renovation. I had found the item I needed, but was one short (it was paneling). I asked Alexa for assistance to see if there was any more in stock somewhere else in the building. She said there were a few more in stock but we couldn't not find them. She really went out of her way (and across the whole store) to help us. She went to get assistance from Blake to try and help us out. He went across the whole store as well searching for the items. Unfortunately they could not find the items but they really went above and beyond for annoying customers shopping right before close. This Loews has all the same great selection of products and the workers are friendly and knowledgeable. However, there are things piles everywhere, in almost every isle. Called and filed a claim, they sent a service person out who turned out to be useless. Said he would order parts and never heard back from him. Called Ascend, lowes third party protection plan company and have been dealing with them for three weeks now and still know nothing about getting my dishwasher fixed. They promise to follow up with me and I never hear back from them. I have made this phone call three time now and nothing changes. The frustrating part is I go to lowes and explain the situation, since they sold me the product and the protection plan, but they tell me there is nothing they can do and call the protection plan number again. When I first moved here and encountered one or two issues with purchases and customer service, I can honestly say that things have improved greatly in that area. My mobile purchase this weekend had a lawn rake that had a tear in the rubber handle grip. Instead of just not telling me and finding out for myself, they called and told me about it and that it was the last one and wanted to know if I wanted my money back. Since the grip would eventually fall off anyways I just told them to sell it to me. Curbside pickup is super easy as well, now finding the spots can be a bit of a pain since there are only three or four and they are right next to the "pickup" Signs and right next to the handicap parking. I had to place an order twice because of the online order picking person's honest mistake in cancelling the initial order (I was okay with that), I placed second order and headed to the store since I received a call saying the order is already picked out. Upon going to the store, 3 different associates couldn't figure out how to check me out while they were holding the items I wanted in their hands. I was then told my Faith (Lowes associate) that she would cancel my order for the second time and I would have to buy the items for the third time and she kept explaining me some lowes technical reasons. At that point I was frustrated and I explained my frustration to Faith. She then started being super defensive and started to argue pretty aggressively, I asked her to stop arguing and she said the was defending herself and she started raising her voice, I was told to go to corporate and write a review and she didn't care. Selected and paid for laminate flooring installation in my home in July. I was told the material was in stock at the time. Subsequently received weekly emails from their installation service apologizing for delays in material availability with no estimated resolution date for a month and a half. After repeated calls to the store over a span of a month I finally spoke to someone who determined that no one had ordered the flooring material. A week later I received an email informing me the material was in. Installation is now scheduled for the end of Sept., 2 1/2 months after placing the order. I asked them to waive the delivery fee but they would not. Lowes did nothing to to compensate me for their screwup that caused the long delay. I'll be shopping at Home Depot in the future. read more

This is a review of Lowe's corporate, not any specific store. I purchased a gas range, which was delivered on November 26, 2019. It wasn't until early January (approximately six weeks later) that I noticed that the range was not level. I called Lowe's to have this problem corrected. The representative said that more than thirty days had passed, so the company policy said they won't do anything. To cut to the chase, after asking to speak with managers, and speaking to four different people, I was finally told they would make an exception, and that someone would call me the next day to arrange an appointment. A week later, no one has called. I can understand, even though I don't like, that they have a policy that they won't be flexible about. But lying to me just to get rid of me is beyond the pale. I won't be shopping at Lowe's ever again; fortunately, there are alternatives available. read more

The best place to go for nearly all home improvement projects! They're installing my carpet and helped me pick out paint colors (color matching). All of their associates are super friendly! They're practically excited to help however, wherever they can, and they're everywhere throughout the store. Humans make mistakes, so of course you might end up with the wrong paint color by accident. I don't think that experience warrants the removal of a star because they resolved it seamlessly. Even had me save a few dollars in the exchange. These people want you to be successful with your home improvement endeavors. That's worth a visit at the least. read more

First of all I would like to say I can see why this store has 2 1/2 stars because this store and the staff are pathetic! I ordered 1 gallon of pain online and they emailed me stating the order was ready. I drove to Lowes pull in spot 5 and I phone the number on the sign and select option 2. I was then transferred 4 times. The 5th time I said please do not transfer me and stated I am at curbside 5 and they immediately transferred me. After I sat there 25 minutes a female came out and stated they were having issues with their phones and she took my order # as well as the other 4 cars that were sitting there. She goes in 25 minutes later still no paint. I walked in Lowes and the paint was at the service desk area. I complained to her grabbed the paint and left. First of all those other 4 cars were there before me so I know they waited longer. You would think since their phone was messed up they would have an employee standing outside taking the orders and quickly relay our orders to the staff inside that are standing at the service desk doing nothing. Poor Customer Service! Paid for an install for a dishwasher. Lowe's contracted the install to NAL Group. This company subcontracted the install to a third party. The install was scheduled for a two hour window. This window was missed by 90 minutes. --I made several calls to both Lowe's and NAL Group. Lowe's took zero responsibility for the delay, as it was contracted out. NAL group informed me that the subcontractor had been double booked, and the installer would arrive when the other job was complete. --Upon arrival, the dishwasher was dented and couldn't be installed. Went to check out with tons of stuff on the cart, with 1 pre-cut stud. Stud ended up not having a UPC, so the cashier asked me multiple times whether it was a 10' 2x4 or a 8' 2x4. She rolled her eyes then proceeded to get a man helping with a fork lift. Then explained to him that i said it was a 92 5/8" stud and rolled her eyes again. The man then also looked at me like i was stupid or something and the explained to me that the 8' studs aren't always exactly 96". Me being frustrated at the lack of knowledge from the employees said to them "Well since you both work here, you should know that you sell 92 5/8" pre-cut studs". Tell me how this warranted the man getting inches from my face and yelling at me? The man got in my face and demanded I apologize? And he continued to try and provoke me into a physical altercation because i refused. Inches from my face! AN EMPLOYEE! It took several minutes to get this lunatic out of my face as it was near physical and causing a big scene. After they corralled this idiot, the manager apologized, and i rightfully insisted the gentleman had no business working in any retail store, and should immediately be terminated. So at the end of the week I returned to the store to speak with the Manager about the status of the gentleman's employment there. He said he can't disclose employment status etc. etc. I said well I can encourage all my customers not to shop here, as I am a contractor, and I will not shop here anymore, if your company thinks it's okay to have crazy employees treat customers this way. And the conversation was left at that. I had continued to shop there, as I assumed this would be an easy decision to get this idiot off their payroll. Tell my why I just went in there a few days ago, and the man is STILL WORKING THERE? Military discount is great. However, telling someone you're going to deliver on a Friday, then Friday comes and no one shows up. Only to find that they lost your order in the system and you had to repurchase, kind of stinks. What makes it even worse is what happened on our rescheduled date of Sunday. So here we are making plans to be at home at scheduled delivery time...and no one shows. I call Lowes and they tell me "oh we didn't have a part so it will be delivered on Tuesday instead. We can't tell you what time until the morning of." 1. Thank you for having us waste our last day of the weekend, canceling plans with friends and family for the second time now. 2. You really need a better communication system in place. We should not be calling your store asking why no one is here when we were told a specific time, to later find that the date has been rescheduled to another time. 3. Why could we know the specific times on our supposed to be Friday and Sunday dates but not the Tuesday delivery? Have to write a review for Lowe's after a couple of really great customer service experiences in the past 6 months or so. First, we had our bathroom remodeled a while back and also did the flooring. Unfortunately, we didn't realize that it usually takes about a week to order in custom flooring. We had the bathroom folks in the house and only 2 days to get the flooring in time to have it finished on schedule. The flooring folks (a man and a woman, I can't remember the names - blast!) were great, got the order in and rushed it as much as possible. When I came in to check if it had arrived 2 days later, the woman peronally took me back and walked me to the front of the store to check out. Both were very helpful and saved the day. Last week we went in to buy a couple of odd and ends and we couldn't find an insulating blanket for our water heater. A nice gentlemen by the name of Jim personally walked us over to them and also helped explain how to put them on. Overall, he was one of the nicest folks I've had help me in store for a long time, and if there were more people like this in retail it would be a little less horrible. read more

The gentleman in the large appliance section was more than helpful by breaking down the pros and cons of each make and model. We ended up going with LG based on his information and he helped us get a great deal too. When we got home my wife realized that she had a 10% coupon, so she called customer service to see if they would allow her to use it and they told her to come back in and they would re-run the transaction. If I could give them zero stars I would! I was in store 2/20/20 and ordered a washer and dryer set. Delivery was instantly set up for 2/22/20. Most of the purchase was paid with chase and another portion was paid with a $250 Visa gift card. On 2/21/20 I received a voicemail stating part of my order had been canceled do to Lowes not having the dryer available. Upon returning the customer service call I was told this dryer is an older model and that I needed to pick a different one AND pay the difference. I told them no, that I wanted the matching set and I ALREADY PAID FOR. Here we are 2 WEEKS later.....my order has been canceled/rerouted 6x. I still do not have my dryer and they are still giving me issues. I was told today that yet again my order had been canceled and was offered a $25 gift card (insert eye roll). I requested my money back and am also being told I can only get a gift card fora refund.....including the CASH that was handed to them in store. At this point there is not solution except a gift card and no one is helping me. This has escalated to cooperate who is stating I am being "unreasonable and that its ONLY 1,300 wasted". My mind is absolutely blown. This is the most unprofessional and jacked up system I have ever dealt with. At this point if they offered my a free paint stick I would say no. Ordered vertical blinds back in may, they never shipped/were stuck in a warehouse for over 2 months while being told they had been shipped to my home which obviously wasn't the case. After coming home from training in Virginia around July time frame the blinds were installed but one of the veins was broken so they installed the full blind set with the blinds being broken and after multiple attempts to have the store reorder the blinds before I deployed to Iraq in the end September. U requested them to reorder everything and reinstall the blinds. They then told me after I came home December of this year that someone canceled the order because it was already completed.... yet as you can see the blinds are installed but broken. I've always loved shopping at lowes over home depot and I honestly feel like this is the worst experience you could have ever got from a company. When we were in the store today, it took thirty minutes to get a box off of the top shelf because only one person in the store (on a very busy Saturday morning) was able to use the forklift. I kid you not, Jim was being paged every two minutes to get stuff down for other customers while we were waiting for him to get a box for us. The only store that I've searched (including Walmart Superstore, Home Depot, Meijers, Target) that had 100% lye. The lye is in tiny bead format, which is fine for cold-processed soap making. They also sell strips of wood, so you can create your own wooden soap mold for cheap. read more

She not only assisted in picking the right blinds for our home, but made sure we got the best deal. The blinds arrived quickly and the installment was fast and precise. Quality product and quality work by Josh and Tim, who were highly professional. They not only put the blinds up but went out of their way to assist in fixing a door handle on my front door which came lose earlier. Excellent service all around.
