Despite the part number being obsolete, she was able to cross-reference it to a current Whirlpool part number and put us on the list for Thursday. Sadly, the part missed the scheduled install, but they received it in time for Friday's repair run -- not their fault. This is our second experience with this company and both were pretty good, but fair warning -- prices have gone up since 2019. Despite that, I'll still give them a 5-star rating for quickly replacing the switch with an OEM substitute (once they got it) and restoring the dryer to service with what was basically a 10-minute repair visit.

Last company I used was very nice, but it was a hefty bill and it took a handful of days for them to come over, determine what was wrong, then a few more days to order the part. This was also in the summer time when I love having ice in my drinks. This time I sent out what I thought the job required via Yelp to several companies. Larue Mechanical Services was one of the first to respond. On top of that they were able to determine what the likely cause and fix was (basically just replacing it) and give me a total estimate cost of the repair before they came over. Other companies were able to provide me their service fees but their hourly rate would vary depending on the job. This isn't uncommon from what I can tell, but I like the fact that Larue was able to give me what they thought it would cost. I understand not all jobs can work like that as repairs can be more complicated and determined on site, but it was part of why I chose them. They were communicative, got the part ordered asap, and replaced it all in 2-3 days. The repair happened on a Friday, and turns out, there was a small error in replacing it. The new ice maker was just dripping water all over and freezing. I let them know this on a Saturday and, despite being closed, responded that they would have to come back out. They responded to several texts about what to do in the meantime to stop the water from building up any more (again while they were closed on a weekend). They were, unfortunately, swamped all day Monday with emergency calls from the weekend. As much as I wanted my machine repaired, I would not classify it as an emergency either. They were able to come out on Tuesday and get it all fixed up though. The final bill was just a little cheaper that what they previously estimated, which was nice. The final bill was also about significantly cheaper than the last repair I had on this freezer. I am going to call Larue first if I ever have an appliance repair need again (which I am sure is a matter of "when" not "if"). The gentleman who did the repairs also took a little time to give my cats and dogs a little attention to let them know he was a safe visitor, which was very nice to see as well.

The repair person came out…read moreand spent 5 minutes and looked at the stove (didn't take anything apart) and said the faulty temperature / time display was on back order and did not have any idea when the part would be in stock. He said he would contact us when the part was in and then repair the display. 2 months later and a couple texts to his phone, we received no response. I then contacted CJS appliance repair found through my Lowes extended warranty company for a Samsung stove (I do not recommend Samsing stoves. Nothing but a problem). Courtney came out and immediately diagnosis the problem. He said we would drive to Cincinnati and get the part that was available. 2 hours later the stove display was fixed when the other company could not fix after 2 months. He said he would submit the service invoice to the warranty company, and we did not have to pay anything during the service. I will contact Courtney / CJS Appliance in the future. He did a great job!
