The technician did an " inspection" of my electrical system, which I did not ask for, then tried to upsell me on "repairs". When I said I was only interested in the work I had asked for, he said we would need a second appointment to go over the details of the work. He even said it would "malpractice" to not come back to discuss in further detail. I told him I was not going to meet with him a second time and to please just give me the estimate. 2 appointments for an estimate? Ridiculous. I never did receive the estimate. Thanks for wasting my time, Mr. Sparky.

Service was scheduled at 9:00 AM, and Deon confirmed the appointment the day before, which I appreciated since many companies leave guessing till the last minute. Deon also let me know that they were on the way to our home, prior to the appointment time, which to me is a professional way of conducting business! On arrival I found Deon to be highly professional and friendly, asking if we wanted him to wear shoe covers, then went to our kitchen and listened to what we had done in the past, our problems and then gave us his professional advice up to the point of where he could. He did informed us that there could be a possible switch issue. He immediately went to work and in less than an hour informed us of our situation and his recommendation. I recently had a pool installed, on a Tuesday, and had contacted Yankee Electric to do the wiring…read moreafter the installation of the pool was complete. The electrician who came out, Wayne, talked with the pool installers to get the information needed to do the wiring. He told me he had to contact the inspector to verify the requirements for doing the job and would get back with me. I called him on Friday to inquire if he had found anything out, and he told me he talked with the inspector and was given some other information about how to complete the job but would get back with me. After 11 days had passed, and hearing nothing from him, I called. This time Wayne told me that I should have received something in the mail. I obviously had not, otherwise, why would I be calling him to get information on the progress of the job? He said he would talk to his office lady and get back with me. Again, he never called back, so I contacted a couple other electricians to do the job. They have already been out and given me their bids. Now, because he couldn't be straight with me at the beginning, I have to wait another 2 weeks to get the job completed. If he didn't want the job, he should have acted like a professional and told me so instead of making me wait. Now, any remaining time we had left to enjoy our pool before the end of the season is gone. By the way, he did finally put a bid in the mail, which I received after talking to the other electrical contractors, and it was $600 more than he originally quoted and considerably higher than the other bids! Highly Unprofessional of them to not communicate with the customer. I would NOT recommend them for any residential jobs!
