Service personnel were nice, but the fact that they pulled an item with a torn up and taped box to deliver to me at my car when I'd purchased online is ridiculous! How could they think to sell something in such a torn up box? I returned immediately. read more

Good Evening, It was such a pleasure visiting the garden center at Lowes on Ross Clarke, Dothan. AL 10/24/2020. My husband and I ran into several employees who worked in the garden center, and all was really nice. But, Victoria was awesome and knowledgeable about the overall garden center . Victoria can create any outdoor scenery beautiful. Her patience, and personality made the entire garden center beautiful, even while it was raining. I truly don't no anything about flowers, but it did not bother Victoria at all.. With that being said,, I would like to Thank You, Thank You Victoria for great customer service. I had to give at least one star because no stars was not an option. I was in the indoor garden area a couple nights ago and reached for a small plant on a shelf when something fell down on the plants. It startled me and at first I wasn't sure exactly what it was BUT I quickly realized it was a RAT. I jumped back and backed my daughter up and heard something running on the latus above me and again it was RATS. I ran from the area and left my cart - there where several people in the area looking up and I realized there where about 12 HUGE Cat sized RATS running in the rafters. Chasing each other and squealing. I'm not sure how they didn't fall on the guest because they where slipping from the rails. I alerted the outside garden attendant who told me they knew of the issue and had been trying to catch them. I asked if the manager knew and he said yes. Bottom line this is a huge liability issue not to mention disgusting. I purchase a lot of plants from Lowes. If they don't care if I am bitten by a RAT then I guess I don't care to support them any longer. This is something that could be solved with a pellet gun at night. I like the hardware stores in the Dothan area. The employees are generally very helpful and kind. It seems that the more they see me, the kinder they are to me. Right now, I'm in love with building things and find it very gratifying to have knowledgeable assistance when I need to shop for supplies. read more

My husband spends a lot of money at this particular Lowe's. He is a contractor and buys most of his supplies and tools there. He is also an avid gardener and loves the garden center employees. However, he has noticed that the customer service at this Lowe's has declined in the last few years. For example, on July 31, he purchased a pond pump on sale for $46.55, the 6th one he's purchased at Lowe's this year. He didn't buy it because it was on sale, he bought it because he needed it. The pump didn't work straight out of the box, so he called the manufacturer who instructed him to take it back to the retailer. He didn't want his money back, he just wanted a pump that worked. On August 11, he finally found the time to return the pump to Lowe's. By this time the pumps were no longer on sale, so the cashier told my husband that he would have to pay the extra $20 difference in price. When he balked at that idea (which anyone returning an item that never worked would) the manager offered him a $10 coupon on his next purchase. Needless to say my husband was infuriated. Eventually the manager caved and allowed him to exchange the pump without paying the extra $20, but only after wasting a lot of time and making my husband feel like he was doing something shady by trying to exchange it. As a result Lowe's has lost a valuable customer. My husband will need several more pond pumps for the project he is working on, and has decided that it's more convenient to order the exact same pump from Amazon, which has an unbeatable return policy and delivers it to our door for free. He's also decided to give Home Depot a try for the supplies and tools he needs for work. Great customer service is a valuable asset Lowe's, I suggest you get some! read more
