My husband saw a riding mower and was going to purchase it and the tag which was in the mower said $969 and the Lowes guy who he was going to buy said it would be $869 because they said if I came and got Lowe's card we would to get a discount of $100 . Then when we go to purchase it they said the price was $ 1969 ... 1000 more than the tag said I have a picture to prove it . And when we told them that's not what sign says they go to the back and tell us that they can not honor the price because it's a large purchase item . They made the error and only offered a 20% discount which we were getting with the new card I was approved for which I would not have even did had they not told my husband he would get a discount . Picked up some paint and tape for a project we are working on at our house . Can't say enough good things about the paint department at this location. Don is so helpful, courteous and he actually put our finished paint in our cart instead of leaving it on the counter for us to come get . I just found this going beyond his job and appreciated the extra service he gave !! The girl who also works in that department helped us another time with pricing paint and what her professional opinion is on certain products . I come here all the time. Most of my experiences have been positive. The last time I was there in the self-service line, someone abruptly asked me if I had rung up something that was in my child's hand (I clearly scanned it and even showed my receipt to the lady). I understand that theft is a concern, but either do your job and monitor for theft or failing to scan items, or mind your own business. I tried calling the store manager several times to discuss my concerns, but surprise--you can't even get in touch with them and apparently they don't have a manager on-site typically? The customer service rep told me they could only match with big businesses, but had no idea who the business was I was asking her to consider. She fell on her manager "said so." The management is rude. No one ever seems to be available when help is needed. Once again, we've been shafted by Lowes. We ordered finely ground Scott's mulch and paid to have it delivered. 100 bags. Delivery went smoothly. That in itself was a shock since last years was ordered, promised a certain date but never delivered. After several attempts to get a response from manager, we were told they were out. After emails to corporate we were finally substituted with a higher grade at our original cost. Back to this year. After opening smallest skid load and spreading it, we opened second skid. Clearly it was last years. Most all bags had molded mulch. A few bags were actually growing mushrooms. No one wants moldy mulch in their flower beds for the front of their house. Especially at the cost of the more expensive mulch. Another let down from Lowe's ! I finally have learned my lesson. East Broad Street Lowes, you are a huge let down! I had a DeWalt drill purchased for me and not all the components were in the box so I needed to return it to this Lowe's so I called to let them know I needed to return the item, and I spoke to the head cashier. He informed me that I needed to get a picture of the receipt from the person who purchased the drill, and for me to bring the item in. I did so and was told absolutely not by 2 other nasty people when I got in there. I was told this Lowe's does not do exchanges and it definitely does not do returns without the paper receipt in hand. Wait a minute what? You do not do exchanges for the exact same item? What national store doesn't do exchanges??? You can clearly see that the item is yours based on the receipt that I have shown you, and I was told this would be OK by the named individual I stated. I contacted corporate on the spot and corporate told them to allow it, so I waited longer and the person in charge at the time decided she would only allow me to get a merchandise credit card in the name of the person who originally bought the item (which does me absolutely no good!). This is the worst customer service I think I've ever experienced in my life! And this is all after I waited in the store for over an hour. I'm disgusted. This store already has poor reviews and you can see why. I WAS TOLD TO GET A PICTURE OF THE RECEIPT from the person who bought it. That wasn't my idea! I was thinking I should get the mylowes card information. So yea, the scary looking evening shift return lady and the evening shift head cashier girl are TERRIBLE at customer service. Saturday around 6pm - 6:23pm I was stuck trying to get change for my One item purchase. It took over 15 min forManagement to realize I needed my change at Self checkout after the Lowe's associate watching over the self checkout called and then asked several co- workers to tell someone up front that I had been waiting for HELP for very long time. I didn't want to leave the register because it did give me $15 of the $40 that I was owed. I held the three 5 dollar bills so the Security Cameras could see that I needed $25 dollars back...APPARENTLY THE SECURITY CAMERAS AREN'T MONITORED OR DON'T WORK AT SELF CHECKOUT. 10-15 min went by and an associate finally showed up with a key but had NO money to refill that register. I explained too the associate that I had been there for a very long time. She replied back" I just found out you where here" Really? No apology just excuses...I followed her back to the customer service desk carrying the space heater and I waited for the Manager who was chatting with an off duty employee who was just sitting there taking chatting about personal stuff instead of focusing on this customer that needed to be helped. Once he left she finally got to me...I told her I waited so long that I just wanted my money back and I would go elsewhere to get a space heater. I got back from her the excuse that she just got off of break. NEVER DID I HEAR I'M SORRY FOR YOUR INCONVENIENCE. Apparently my time isn't worth the same as their's. The only Lowe's employee who apologized multiple times too me was the Nice Lady watching over the self checkout area. The Manager only apologized after I pointed out that she and the other person who has the key never apologized for making me wait Sooooo long. I counted the money back as the manager gave it to me and it was $25 short. I laid it out on the counter so the cameras could see that the Manager shorted me the original $25 I was still owed. She then went to the self checkout register to get the $25 from the lady with the key. That employee never noticed that I followed her to the customer service area. WOW ... I'm truly invisible at this Lowe's. By the way the store had only a handful of customers which is probably why only 1 open register along with the self checkout was open. Why did the customer/return desk have 5 employees not doing much as I was waiting??? Come on Lowe's... train your employees ...especially management to take responsibility and not give customers excuses for mistakes that should NEVER HAPPEN! I left Lowe's and finished my shopping at Ohio Thrift Store, Target ( got my Space Heater) & Popeye's and had friendly, fast customer service from all of the above. Other reviews are right - there is no customer service at this place and the staff almost makes a show out of not being interested. I tried purchasing a 7pc ratcheting wrench set that I watched an employee put a sale sticker on the item rack with 5 more of the same sets for $15.99. I go to check out after waiting in line for 10 minutes and it rings up double that and Dawn was the person checking us out and had us go back to the rack check the price which said $15.99 and had two more employees verify that. Then we had to wait in line for another 10 minutes just for her to say they can't do anything. Pretty poor experience for having to wait so long for store error. read more

What can I say Lowes is great. I like this location because like the other reviewer said it's never packed. So, you can get in &out and back to what ever project you're doing. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable about everything in the store. The prices are pretty good compared to others home improvement stores. We bought a washer and dryer from Lowes on E. Broad St. We were very satisfied with the appliances themselves, however our experience with the installation was disappointing to say the least. They were two installers and they were very young and perhaps not well trained. They forgot to put on the clamp at the bottom of the discharge hose for the washer even though they said it was ready to go. They apparently didn't do any kind of check on the operation of the washer. The first time we used the washer and it came to rinse cycle, the discharge hose popped off and flooded the laundry room and the water got into other areas of the house. They also didn't completely tighten the fill hoses at the faucets. Lowes need to better train their installers. read more

I completely understand that they are super busy, and I most likely would not be on here writing a review should the customer service had been sub par, but it was completely nonexistent. I had placed an online pickup order, days later I call because no email had been sent confirming that my order was complete and ready for pick up. The order had not even been started, and they said they could have it ready with in an hour. Go to pick up my order the day that I had to call, and half of it had been canceled due to being sold out during the days that had passed. They did not say anything about part of my order being cancelled, just handed me a bag. So I had to ask about where the rest of my order was. Also I completely commend Lowe's for providing their employees with masks, however none of the employees were wearing the masks properly over their nose nor their mouth, completely defeating the purpose of even wearing one. read more

Absolutely the worst home improvement service ever. Used PSI team for a total kitchen design and install. You pay in full up front. Contract completion date of 8/31/17 changed after I signed it to 9/13/17. Problems at every step. Bad design that was never checked caused wrong cabinets to be ordered. Delays with everything. Multiple sub contractors never showed up. Some who did had shoddy workmanship. Delayed and Incompetent delivery and install has damaged walls and floors and appliances. Crappy install on granite ruined two more cabinets. Rude customer service from PSI and no oversight on job site by Lowes. Promises made but never kept. Third oven cabinet delivered today - still wrong. Stay away from Lowes. Will need to file a lawsuit to recoup all the losses. Still no end to job a month and a half after the (fraudulent) end date. read more
