Long review but hopefully thorough to explain why I will be calling these guys first next time I…read moreneed a repair. My ice maker was broken for the 2nd time in a year and a half. Last company I used was very nice, but it was a hefty bill and it took a handful of days for them to come over, determine what was wrong, then a few more days to order the part. This was also in the summer time when I love having ice in my drinks. This time I sent out what I thought the job required via Yelp to several companies. Larue Mechanical Services was one of the first to respond. On top of that they were able to determine what the likely cause and fix was (basically just replacing it) and give me a total estimate cost of the repair before they came over. Other companies were able to provide me their service fees but their hourly rate would vary depending on the job. This isn't uncommon from what I can tell, but I like the fact that Larue was able to give me what they thought it would cost. I understand not all jobs can work like that as repairs can be more complicated and determined on site, but it was part of why I chose them. They were communicative, got the part ordered asap, and replaced it all in 2-3 days. The repair happened on a Friday, and turns out, there was a small error in replacing it. The new ice maker was just dripping water all over and freezing. I let them know this on a Saturday and, despite being closed, responded that they would have to come back out. They responded to several texts about what to do in the meantime to stop the water from building up any more (again while they were closed on a weekend). They were, unfortunately, swamped all day Monday with emergency calls from the weekend. As much as I wanted my machine repaired, I would not classify it as an emergency either. They were able to come out on Tuesday and get it all fixed up though. The final bill was just a little cheaper that what they previously estimated, which was nice. The final bill was also about significantly cheaper than the last repair I had on this freezer. I am going to call Larue first if I ever have an appliance repair need again (which I am sure is a matter of "when" not "if"). The gentleman who did the repairs also took a little time to give my cats and dogs a little attention to let them know he was a safe visitor, which was very nice to see as well.

Capital City Appliance Service - The control panel after *I*, NOT CAPITAL CITY, cleaned with a qtip and 91% isopropyl alcohol. They didn't do anything.

This company was willing to do it if we could find the part. After a few weeks, we were able to locate one. Their service representative, Jerry, was on time, professional, and competent. He was able to fix the oven door and left everything in a good order. We had several discussions with the front office to answer some of our questions and to verify that we had the correct part before we ordered it. We also appreciated that they were able to quote based on an email since the issue was a broken oven window that was easy to show by attaching a picture to an email. Since we didn't want to pay for a visit if we could not find the part and needed an estimate the cost so we could decide whether to replace or repair, we were glad to be able to get a email quote for a smaller charge. They then deducted the charge from the final bill

I have never felt this angry about an experience with a business in my life. If I could give…read morenegative stars, I would. Scheduled a recalled part replacement through Whirlpool. Accommodated their schedule change without complaint. Their technician gets here, spends approximately 1 minute looking, tells my partner my machine is installed incorrectly, and goes to leave. I go outside to try and speak with him since the machine belongs to me and has needed repair once already for a part that's well known to break. The technician refuses to come back over or let me speak and proceeds to scream at me from outside of his van across the street. He then calls someone and calls me names to them WHILE I CAN HEAR HIM from my front step. My neighbors came outside from two different houses to tell him to leave and stop yelling at a woman. When I called to speak to his supervisor, the girl answering the phone refused repeatedly. I told her I would wait on hold and calmly asked multiple times. She proceeds to tell us something entirely different than their technician about the install and repeats that I need to check the manual over and over rather than listen to me. We eventually ended in a screaming match about the fact that a company would condone this behavior by an employee and refuse to allow me to speak to a supervisor. It's clear from these reviews that they're just an absolutely trash company with wildly poor customer service, but I guess allow me to add to the pile. In the ever growing world of AI and small businesses failing, I can only hope they'll see how negatively their customers feel about their experiences and actually try to do better. I have their technician on video as well as witnesses since they'd like to argue and continue to change their story. Thankfully Whirlpool confirmed that our washer is fully under a special project (just like the last repair man who fixed it for the same issue) and is sending someone else who will actually do the job!
