Still going through a terrible experience with Home Depot. We ordered and started paying for a…read morecounter top on April 2nd. We were told 3 to 5 weeks. After 6 weeks and only when we inquired we were told the order was never placed. After speaking with corporate and being given a case number, we were promised they would get the counter top ordered and have a supervisor call us within 3 days. The call was 6 days later and the guy wanted me to tell him the whole story over. And let me know he was off last week. Now corporate is saying the local store has my counter top and they are waiting to coordinate installation. We aren't even having them install it! Our salesperson called to rant about how it wasn't her fault someone deleted the email order! Meantime we are eating with relatives, carryout and restaurants.

Rarely am I not greeted, and often an employee, if they see me in the aisle will ask if I need assistance. Although not a warehouse store like *cough Home Depot cough *, they have almost everything I need (within reason). I like how they have pretty much every wood stove accessory or repair item, this is something that the warehouse stores *cough Lowes cough* do not carry. Tip: Sign up for their loyalty program. You get discounts and credits towards future purchases. Tip: If you come in with kids, bring a couple of quarters for the old school HUGE gumball machine.

The same arrogant guy gave my dad a hard time, just as he always does for me. I should preface this extra part by saying my father is also recovering from knee replacement surgery. The guy held the door open and told him to carry the soil into the store. When he saw my dad struggling to walk and carry the soil, he got so annoyed by him that when my father finally got close to the front door, he shut the door in his face, and walked back inside. This is my absolute last straw with this place. You cannot bill yourself as the "friendly neighborhood hardware store" and keep doing things like this to your customers. I will gladly take my business to a more commercial enterprise and save myself 30% for the trouble.

I called the store and asked for the manager and Mark answered. When I told him my concern he could care less and kept saying that it was Forest Hill and not his store so not his problem. Suppose it was a housewife at home. She could never have helped the driver ( who was very polite).
