He quoted me $120 and was supposed to show up today at 4:30p. At 5 I called him and he ignored my call so I told him don't bother. At like 5:30 I found a random guy on yelp and asked him and he said he wasn't available until next week. I said that's fine but asked if he can come after 5 because I have work. He asked where I lived and I said south Manteca and he said he lived there too and asked if he can just come tonight on his way home. I said sure. He said he charges about $80 for in wall drilling. He showed up an hour ago and began going through the wall only to discover that there was no fireblock. The doorbell was setting off a false reading on my studfinder. He routes the cables through the wall easily and covers the holes and puts the tv back up. I ask him how much and he says I don't gotta pay him cause he didn't technically have to do the job I hired him for. Plus he lives down the street and didn't have to spend any gas money. He was hella nice. Gave me his business card and just asked that I leave his company a Yelp review. Man. He made me feel so much better about the world. What a nice dude." These guys took on a home theater installation in my 40-year old home without batting any eye (as compared to two other companies, who snubbed me --- "too complicated", "we only work on newer homes"). Justin is not afraid to lie down flat in a hot attic, find a workaround, or handle an unforeseen problem on the fly. He has many years experience in home theater installations. They also install/upgrade computer networks. They can do some electrical work, too, as our installer has an electrician's license. (He keeps his mask on, too, which I appreciate.)
