This was my first time here and wasn't sure what to expect as I am solo and new to the area. Stopped in and felt really cool. I can see how people think it's a bit intimidating at first and I think it was because of the large table right outside. Don't get me wrong - people were sitting there enjoying ourselves and seemed more of folks who knew each other hanging out and having some tea. I had some kratom as I never had it, nor had I heard of it before. Not sure what the term is for the "barista".. but he was cool and explained the difference between the kava and kratom and was pleasant. I must admit, I hadn't noticed anything different after drinking it. But, could be that particular type didn't do anything for me. I'll definitely be back ... and maybe soon enough I'll be at the big table chatting with some new friends! read more

Good location, easy parking, and they have everything I need. I'm happy they are around the corner and I can pop in for kava to-go!

Awesome! A kava/kratom lounge for Gulfport! Recently opened, but they're already doing everything right. The owner is super friendly and welcoming, and seems like a perfect fit for this location. If you like kava, you are going to LOVE this place. I believe it is one of two total kava lounges in the St Pete area. Very chill atmosphere, great art, nice people...highest recommendation. They accept credit cards, and a single kava runs about 3.50. Kratom runs 5.00/single and comes in a variety of great mixes. EDIT: I have been there multiple times now and just can't say enough about the great service. read more

Low Tide Kava Bar - a giraffe statue in front of a building - Lounges Near Me - Gulfport, Florida

This is a most special kava bar. The drinks are great and the atmosphere is open and comfortable. Heading to Gulfport from my home in next door St Petersburg is like a mini vacation. There is usually live music from next door and/or across the street and a ratio of dogs to people ( one to three ) that brings me joy. The tenders are kind and helpful. To me, it is the heart of funky, inclusive artsy Gulfport. read more

Awesome place to just chill out and relax with friends that become family. Their Kava and kratom is stronger than the competition, but their prices are lower. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Low Tide Kava Bar - Back of their card. - Lounges Near Me - Gulfport, Florida

Such a great location. The kava is always strong and the setting is so enjoyable. The kratom here is made with care and I love the Kombucha tea (lavender is my favorite). This is a great atmosphere. The little coffee house next door has a diverse assortment of flavors for their coffee. This place welcomes dogs and has ping pong tables. This tea house is set right by the beach with wonderful little shops like the hot sauce hut in front and the ice cream shops close by. Low Tide doesn't try too hard and it really doesn't have to. The bar tenders are never too busy to smile and there is always good entertainment. This is an alcohol free bar that sells snacks and a wide assortment of carefully crafted tea. If you're looking for a relaxing time that's stress free definitely give it a chance. read more

Low Tide Kava Bar - Low Tide Kava Bar's gorgeous mural. - Lounges Near Me - Gulfport, Florida

Low Tide Kava Bar is an excellent place to go for a nice laid back hang out session with friends and sipping on kratom. The vibe is really welcoming and everyone is cool including the staff. It is kind of hidden in a little courtyard in Gulfport, the patio outdoors is lit up with pretty lights and plenty of seating as well as indoors. The prices are reasonable. Their add in flavors for their kava and kratom are really clean and delicious. read more

Came here for game night on Tuesday. Love the atmosphere. My husband got the "NITRO" the flavor was amazing. Real dope laid back spot if you just want to get out the house and relax. This is the place to come. Cant ever go wrong with Kratom. Stop in on Tuesday at 8pm. read more

Great service. Kind to customers and great ambiance. Don't go to the north end next door. They are rude. Very rude.

I've been looking for a place where I can meet people over a "drink" that doesn't contain alcohol and drunk idiots.. I found it! The staff here is very informative and explained everything to me since I was a newbie to kava and kratom. I've brought many friends here including my dad and we love it. It's a very relaxed atmosphere with board games, video games, relaxed couches, a bar, corn toss and more. I recommend ordering the 50/50 kava for mind and body. You will get a relaxed feeling. The cost of a kava is $3-$3.50 and kratom is $5 If you decide you want to take a walk the waterfront is only about 3 blocks away where you can sit and enjoy your beverage. read more

I usually only go sparingly on Wednesday when its 2 for 1. Cool atmosphere. Very laid back. This is a place that I recommend and take people to when they visit. They have both Kava and Kratom. Multiple types of both. Well priced. Fun spot. Great staff, knowledgeable and friendly. read more

A cool place with a laid back theme. The selections were good, offering more than just kava. They have many themed nights with lots to do. What interested me even more, is the different kinds of people they attract. From hipsters to professionals (I'm somewhere in between). It was a really eclectic feel. read more

I have been going to Low Tide for more than two years and stop in most nights after work to relax, unwind, and enjoy a kratom (sometimes along with a small kava). Many flavoring "syrups" are offered for the kratom drinks. Excellent, fast, and friendly service. Places to sit and relax at the bar or tables or the couches. There's also outdoor seating in the courtyard. The Clover phone app (it tracks my visits and purchases) has enabled me to get free kratoms about once a week or so. Low Tide is 100% dog friendly both inside and outside. The clientele are typically laid-back and friendly with all age groups represented. read more

First time here and stopped by for a quick cup of coffee in the afternoon. Will definitely be back to try this place out for a weekend night. Great atmosphere and friendly staff! read more

The area is awesome but walking in here felt like I was walking into a meat freezer that was hot. The decor was ghetto and not a place you want to take your kids. The quality of kava was really bad and when I ask for flavoring they put a shot of something they said was honey but made no difference. When I ask for menu they looked at me like I was crazy and the staff looked they were doing community service. read more

Best kratom product in the area. Location is in a great area and there is a lot of walking around that can be done. The staff and other customers are friendly, and overall it is a welcoming and pleasant environment. read more

Without a doubt the only option on the West Coast I have attended. The only place with real Kava properly prepared. The staff cares and they have an idea of what Kava is. read more

My favorite place in Gulfport! I've been going here for years and not once have I had a bad experience! The kava and teas are some of the best quality around and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. read more

Super nice staff with a nice Kava and kratom selection. Maybe a little overpriced for the area, but over all a good spot. I don't know why, but walking into a new kava bar can be intimating for a lot people, so I really appreciated how friendly and helpful there folks were at Low Tide read more

I love this place! The atmosphere is so relaxing and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The staff are efficient and the Kratom is delightful. On Tuesdays they offer 20% off Kratom tea and on Thursdays they give you double points on the Perka rewards app. I definitely take advantage of these every week. On top of this, I've made a lot of friends here as well. Amazing! read more

Great kratom for a great price. Nice people too. I like coming here to work remotely during the day. They're also on Perka, so download that to start accumulating points for free kratom & kava. read more

Great drinks, great prices, really cool place to chill, close to a lot of restaurants in Gulfport. Fun times

I decided to drive over the Skyway to check out my first Kava bar yesterday with my daughter and I was really excited because I had heard so many good things about Kava/Kratom bars. This one in my opinion had better reviews so I decided to go their first. I had read a review where everyone was super friendly and it was family friendly (That was the part that sealed the deal because I was bringing my young daughter). This wasn't really the case. As soon as we walked up everyone outside got quiet and was just staring at us. Ignoring that we continued to walk inside where one of the workers said Hello. We waited a few more minutes just standing their awkwardly when a man asked me what I wanted. I explained this was my first time in but I was interested in Kratom. He said "Okay what kind?." Again I mentioned to him I wasn't sure because I didn't know what they had and this was my first time. He did ask me what feeling I was going for and I finally said Euphoria. He then asks me "Single or a double?" and I explained for the 3rd time I was new and unsure but this time I asked what he would recommend for a newbie. He said "Single" he told me the price then just told me to pay over here and that was it. My daughter was also super uncomfortable with the place and the vibe so she asked for us to get out of there. We wont be coming back. We did end up finding another Kava bar around the corner that took the time to explain everything and make us feel welcome. Maybe I wasn't dressed right or maybe it was because I had my kid .. who knows but Customer Service is the first chance at an impression you get and can make or break a quality product. I gave this two stars because I did like the Green Kratom. read more

Cool place, but the only issue is the bar. If all the seats are taken at the bar its hard to get a drink. They should leave an area opened up so you can walk up to the bar and order since there arent any waiters walking around taking orders...also, you usually have to remind certain bartenders to give you your Perka perks. I've left there many times without getting ''Perked'' after I asked them to do so. Now I wait and remind them if they forget read more

Great experience! Great kava bar, had never drank kratom in a public place! Very homey, comfortable.

Horrible service coupled with weak, overpriced Kratom tea. Pretty sure I saw a roach in their bar as well.

First time trying kava. Had a good experience! Great atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend
