Great Music and a cool atmosphere. I like to come have a great whiskey, smoke a cigar and listen to the live music!

A vibe - Cigar Lounge with an Eclectic Bar that has live music regularly? Sign me up. If you're sensitive to cigar smell/smoke it might not be for you. Music was great, bartenders were lovely and make a SOLID cocktail. Did not have food came in late night. read more

Old man at the bathroom is a nightmare, gives off war veteran MP vibes. Had him call out a girl in front of us who had been waiting the whole time for cutting??? I threw a drink away and stepped out for maybe 10 seconds and he told me to get tf back in line if I didn't wanna be kicked out, Wild experience been here a ton and it's always weirdos but usually not the staff lmao read more

This is a pretty cool place in and amongst the local scene. The night friends and I frequented this place, they had some live music going. This place has a great vibe with lots of local traffic. To me, it seem like most of the patrons were locals and not tourist. I don't know if they have a parking lot as it seemed like most people were parking on the street or at the public parking structure. I got lucky and found a spot on the street and only had to make a short walk. For us, it was quicker to order at the bar, than to wait for the waiter to service us, because it was so busy. Drinks are a little bit pricey but not too bad. No objections to coming back here for drinks! read more

To be honest if you want to enjoy the local music, this place is for you. Along with this you can enjoy the delicious food

So much fun. It is a small venue with great drinks and cigars. But that is not why you go. The local talented musicians and the music they play is phenomenal! Go see it for yourself. read more

Joceline is the awesomest lady ever ! GIVE HER A RAISE ! good live music too ! great bartender too shout out Walter!!!!

Always fun to stop in for live music while out for our date night's in downtown St. Pete. There is a cigar bar attached and cigar smoking is allowed inside in case that is something you're not ready for. We didn't mind it. The intimate, dark, smoky space gives it a New Orleans jazz club vibe. read more

Everything was nice can't say anything negative , it met my expectations and most importantly the staff was very nice and friendly

Attached cigar bar? Nice! You can smoke a cigar with good live music? Heck yeah! Found my unicorn bar! read more

Ruby's Elixir - Bars Near Me - St. Petersburg, Florida

Ruby's is one of my favorite bars in DTSP, with the added bonus they offer live music on a regular basis. It's connected to a cigar shop, which I do try to avoid, but it does add a certain something to the entire vibe of the place. The crowd that frequents here is definitely one which appreciates the ambiance more than the bar scene itself. It's typically a mix of ages though, and especially those who are cigar smokers. They have a classic cocktail menu, of which I typically get a whisky sour or something similar. The majority of prices are close to $20. The bartenders are genuinely quite nice, and you can usually have a more stress free ordering experience when you order in the cigar shop. The bands and artists that I've seen play here are honestly pretty good, and they definitely know how to please a crowd in such a cramped space. I don't stop in here terribly often, but when I do I always have a good time. read more

First time trying this place out. It's a bar with drinks and a cigar bar. We just came for the drinks and vibes. I ordered a Cosmo. First one ever and it did not disappoint! Service was great. Plenty of outdoor and unfortunately seating. They don't serve food but we walked to the Crafty Squirrel to grab pizza. read more

I had a great time at Ruby's while on vacation. The music was phenomenal and drinks were even better. Sometimes drinks are wack in these places but my old fashioned was perfectly balanced. I look forward to returning for another themed night next time. The casual fun nature is contagious! read more

Ruby's Elixir - Bars Near Me - St. Petersburg, Florida

The smell of cigars fills the room and bounces off the brick walls of this cozy bar. If you aren't there early enough then you'll most likely have to stand all night. While it is a cigar lounge and I'm not the biggest fan of cigars, I am a huge fan of jazz music. I look forward to Thursday nights at Ruby's when I know I can catch a live jazz band and enjoy a nice old fashioned or a glass of Prosecco. The bartenders and servers are always quick on their feet to make sure each table is taken care of. read more

We had such a blast here. Total dive bar and if you don't like smoke make sure to sit outside.

I love the vibe! Great cigar selection and they had a great bourbon selection! I would highly recommend getting to this place!!!

Great place but band music is horrible- they can't find any better jazz/blues bands around?

Awesome experience at Ruby's! Great staff, AMAZING music! The bathroom attendant Mel was very polite and kind. Loved it here. Will come back

We come here because of the music talent and endure the cigar smoke ... on Sunday 9/1/24, we arrived at 6:30p just as Chris Walker took the stage ... from that time to 8:01pm, there are a total of 19 people in the place .... during the 90 minutes , I counted 27 people that entered and had a visual reaction to the smoke impact and left!!!! Management would do well to put an air apron btw Central Cigar and make Ruby's smoke free ... I've opened several restaurants/bars and consulted on many others and offer this at no charge ... read more

This place deserves recognition for being able to attract musicians of such great caliber on a nightly basis. However, this place is connected to and a part of a Cigar Lounge. As smoking is permitted in this establishment, you will inevitably need to come to terms with the fact that you're going to smell it the whole time you're there and on your clothes when you leave. That being said, the drink prices are more "fair" than a lot of downtown St. Pete. The staff is pretty sharp and friendly and there's a large variety of drinks to have. Wine, cocktails, beer, and spirits, you name it and odds are the bartender can do it. If Cigars ARE your thing, then you're in luck. Not only can you smoke indoors but there a very large variety of cigars for you to choose from. Overall, worth checking out, even if you don't like smoke. read more

My favorite place in downtown St. Pete! I was in town on business for only four days and ended up here on two of the three nights. They've got a great vibe, and the music, especially on Tuesday night, is Awesome! I don't think you can go wrong here. They've got a diverse draught and drink selection. The service was outstanding! Everyone was friendly. Best of all - the live music. If you're in St. Pete, you ought to give it a try! read more

This is the sort of place that sets St Pete apart! Always a great time-really cool vibe; we've Always been impressed with the opening band that be plays 7:30-9:30 and main band hits the stage at 10. Blues, rock, classic hits that have the whole crowd moving! It gets crowded on the weekends and wait staff does an Excellent job weaving through, delivering and clearing. Bravo! Note-it is smokey(cigar smoke) as back part is a cigar bar. GO! read more

Great chill atmosphere with a smokey lounge vibe. Not too fancy, and not too rough. Just right!

This place is amazing. Whiskey, Cigars, and Tunes. It's a must if your downtown. It's very safe downtown as I walked everywhere.

Ruby's Elixir - Ruby's elixir & a green tea shot - Bars Near Me - St. Petersburg, Florida

Fun jazz bar in the downtown area, lots of seating outside and in. People dancing and having a good time. Great people watching.

If you love second hand smoke, both cigars and cigarettes, 5 stars. If you enjoy clear lungs and breathing clean air, not so much. It was interesting that most patrons did not smoke. The beer and music were great and I put up with the smoke. Crowd was lively and added to the ambiance. read more

waitress felt entitled to write their own tip like it was so hard to open one beer bottle and had it all staff were rude wont recommend

Great music cigars drinks atmosphere great...

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place has the rudest staff and bartenders. Most of the people in the bar looked like crackheads anyways. Save your time and go to any of the other bars in the area. Has potential if all of the staff was replaced. read more

What a great place, highly recommended for live music and a great atmosphere. It's a cigar bar so beware there is smoking everywhere, so if you enjoy cigars, cold beer, great music and people this is your place in St Petersburg, me and my wife had a blast and stayed well over 1 am being a Tuesday so it is lively all week!
