Can I give them 6 stars? WOW! I absolutely loved this place to the point that we had lunch there two days in a row! Located literally on the beach, you have the option of 4-tops or the most comfortable sofas you can imagine! Their drinks menu is extensive and as expected from a hotel restaurant, it is quite pricey but worth it. We tried the "Marvelous Mango" and "High Tide". Over the course of 2 days we tried: Cuban sandwich, sweet Thai chili shrimp, Florida crab cakes and fish tacos. Everything was SO GOOD! Service is spectacular! The servers were so attentive and friendly. If you are in the area you have to try this place! You will not regret it! read more

Went to spend the day at Tradewinds resort and ate at Salty's for lunch. Nice outdoor seating right by where you can ride the little boats if you are staying there or have a day pass and has a beach view. Drinks are $11 each or get one in a souvenir cup which is 2 1/2 drinks for $21. With the cup you don't get discounts on future alcoholic beverages and just tea and soda. Food was a decent size portion and ranged from $13-$19 for an average meal. I had the Philly which was really good and upgraded my side to the potato salad which i recommend getting, otherwise it is served with chips. My wife got the fish tacos, which came with two tacos, and for an extra $2 you can upgrade to grouper. read more

Went into this place with high hopes and left disappointed. It certainly did not look as good the night I went as it did in the pictures. Not well lit and trash scattered about. It's hard to find with minimal signage. The drinks had good flavor to them but didn't pack much of an alcoholic punch. I drank multiple of them and was expecting to get drunk but didn't even have a buzz. read more

Parking sucks if you're not staying on this resort and/or walking distance to it from your own place... we luckily were able to park in a lot across the street for free but they said during summer months, they actually tow from there. The resort looks super nice, and got a little confusing to get to the restaurant, but once we made our way through the resort - it was the cutest little spot. Patio set ups and furniture around the pool deck and sand. Some of the furniture was even padded with a fire pit. It is first come, first serve. There's no host, so we had to sit at the bar for like 5 minutes before tables started to open up. The bar is small and cute and of course, in a tiki hut. There are tv screens inside the tiki hut that were playing March Madness games (amen!). There were outside lights hanging around the palm trees, setting the ambiance to a luau. We had a beautiful view of the gulf coast sunset. And it matched perfectly with my Mango Tango Margarita! That was bomb.com, & recommended by our waitress. We started with nachos - delicious & messy. I had the blackened grouper tacos, which came as 3 and I was only able to eat 1. I was so full after the nachos! Brian had the shaved steak ciabatta sandwich. He originally was skeptical of the Brie and balsamic jam, but he opened his horizons & said it was delicious ...& ate his whole plate. Number one spot to catch a drink at sunset! The bartender and staff were fun, friendly and generous with the pour. They have a sunset drink special you have to check out , along with beautiful fireplace seating. I also ate a chicken tender appetizer that came with a kick of spice and tangy sauce. Love music was romantic and subtle great place to visit. Trick to getting there is you have to walk through and park at the hotel. We definitely needed to be directed there by the parking attendant! read more

On our first night in St. Pete's we wandered around forever staring at our GPS trying to figure out where in the hell is this Salty's place. Let me help you - it is behind the Tradewinds resort near the pool area and right on the beach. It was a Friday night after sunset so the place was pretty dead and we sat up at the bar. No one else was at the bar so we talked to the two bartenders about various things - paper straws, sea turtles, other tiki bars, drinks, football, etc. We loved these 2 guys and the drinks were good and strong. We loved it so much we came back again after barhopping down the beach and had a nightcap. It is low key and with friendly bartenders which is exactly what you want in a Tiki bar. This little tiki bar is located at the Tradewinds resorts. They have a variety of drink specials and live music daily. At the beginning of my stay I ordered my husband and myself large cocktails in large reusable glasses. Each drink was $19, and the bartender told me each cup held approximately 2 1/2 drinks. The view at this tiki bar is simply breathtaking. It's a very enjoyable place to enjoy a drink. read more

This little bar is right outside the brecken ridge building. After several drinks, the marvelous mango was by far my favorite. If you are not a sweet drinker, this may not be for you. They also have tv screens for your enjoyment and a small menu you can order from. Definitely play the wall hooky, that game is no joke! read more

This was an amazing tiki bar located at the tradewinds resort. We bought some really large drinks in green tradewind cups that were $19.50 each. That drink lasted my wife the entire afternoon. This is great spot to have a drink, look at the ocean, and enjoy the onsite love entertainment. read more

Staying at Tradewinds for a conference, the tiki bar was a popular evening destination. So I've had a few drinks, a few apps, and generally spent some time hanging out in the vicinity. They are generally very well staffed and supplied, so they managed to keep the lines to a minimum and got the drinks out quickly. The beach mule (a play on the Moscow mule) was delicious! Obviously, given the location, drinks are a tad on the pricey side (around $10 for a modest size). Table service for food was good, though I really don't get the local thing of servers calling us "honey" and "girls" The coconut shrimp was very good, as was the brie plate. They don't have anything particularly unique or exotic on the menu, but dude, it's a tiki bar on the beach. Overall, it's a nice place to hang out and enjoy food and drinks on the beach. read more
