I must admit, even though the aesthetic is really what drew me in, since I was unsure about the drinks initially, I'm so glad our group took a chance. Once inside you see how little this place is, which is one of the reasons for 3 stars. Other downfalls was service being slow, so much that we left without getting any drinks after standing by the bar for about ten minutes without much moving. The place was crowded, probably because earlier today was the pride parade. Another reason for the lower score is only one bathroom stall from what we could tell. And not enough tables because of how small the venue is. There were a couple small tables with drinks on them but no one busing the floor. Liked the decorations in the corner with old record albums... Kiss, Robert Palmer, Chuck Magione, Ricki Lee Jones, Adam Ant. The music playing was good. After Bodega closes the only entrance/exit is a door that dumps to the side alley. It isn't hidden so found it pretty easily. A loose entrepretation of a speakeasy. Might try this again on a less busy night where the bar service can keep up with the patrons. Recommend this place to smaller numbers of 2-4 people. Anything larger and they just can't accommodate properly. In my picture you can see how small all the tables are... Bodega closes several hours before Bar Chica, so if the Central Avenue door is locked then entrance is down the alley to the right. They close at 1a on Saturdays...

I would not go to this bar before during or after a show at Jannus. It is heavily overcrowded. The patio is laced with tree branches and greenery, making it esthetically pleasing as well as somewhat private. Bartenders are super friendly and fun. Love the service and prices are fair. They always mention specials. The live music can be reggae or folksy. I never know till I get there but I'm never disappointed.

Located on the fourth floor of the Pier Point structure, Pier Teaki offers a fantastic waterfront setting with beautiful views. We hurried into Pier Teaki because a thunderstorm was expected to arrive within an hour. Luckily, we found a cozy cabana where we could relax while watching the dark clouds roll in. For drinks, we ordered the NA Piña Colada ($9) and the NA Passionate Pineapple ($9). Both were refreshing, flavorful, and excellent non-alcoholic choices. We also shared the Dip Trio ($14), which was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the drinks. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing! it was the perfect place to unwind, enjoy the ocean breeze, and take in the waterfront views. In the end, the strong winds pushed the storm clouds away, and it never rained after all. Once we got our food, we never were quality checked and drinks weren't refilled. Not sure where our server disappeared to? Food was surprisingly good! We got an order of wings, ceviche, a smash burger, and mahi tacos. The wings were so crispy and delicious that we didn't even use any of the buffalo sauce or ranch that we ordered on the side. Highly recommend! The tacos and burger were both on point. Our only complaint was that the ceviche was super fresh and refreshing, but the knife cuts were terrible so we'd end up with large pieces of fish just kind of stuck together not fully cut apart which was a little unappetizing. All in all, we had a great experience!
