Had a tire pop on My sons truck and he needed replace it. He is 16 years old, has a job, but limited money. So he went here to check out what used tires they had. The guy had a set of 2 set that matched the pick up. And at $35 each, and my son decided to get an extra one. The man charges five dollars to mount and balance the tire. When he filled the first one up, there was a hole in it. So the guy put the other tire on the rim, and my son opted to come back later to pick up the tire after was fixed. That was about two months ago and we have had no issues with the tire. We will definitely use this place again there's two tires for $80 versus a brand new truck tire for $170 LOL. read more

This place is horrible !!!!! I don't think they should even have 1 star he should have 0 stars!!! I had a bad flat tire I'm actually out of town so I had the owner replace my tire and replace my flat the next morning I woke up and my tire was flat again!!!! Horrible tire!!!! I called the owner to help me and he said my dad called and I was very confused so I asked him if he new who I was and he said he did and hung up on me. So called back and asked him if he hung up on me and he said yes!!! He said I'm busy I don't have time! Second set of 4 used tires purchased here today. Can't beat the price and I feel like I get the best used tires I can get. I'm on a budget so it is appreciated and $140 is very doable. The last set got me all the way through winter with no issues. I rolled in today with a bolt I ran over in one rear tire. If i could put 0 star i would. Whoever that old guy is i swear he's an asshole! I forgot his name but i think he is working by himself. Before i go there i gave him a call and asked about the price of the installation and he said it is $20 and he only take cash. When i got there first thing he asked is for me to give him the $20. As soon as i gave him the money he opened the garage door and told me to pull my car in. I have my daughter with me the whole time and we haven't even got out of the car yet he put the jack already and put my car up. Then he ask me for the wheel lock key. So i looked for it and i could not find it it took me about 10 minutes looking for it and still i could find it and he was at my front donut tire trying to take it out without the lock key when i heard a loud banging noise...he seems so pissed off and mad. I was so scared specially for my daughter. He took my old and new tire together and put a new tire on the rims then he came back telling me that he put the new tires on the rims already and my husband has to finish it and put it in himself. I asked him if i can come back as soon as i find the wheel lock key and he answered back "no your husband has to put it i already did my part". I swear that guy is so creepy and rude. I have been going to Rob at Lo-cost tires for awhile. I've purchased at least 10 tires for myself and referred many customers. I bought 2 front tires 2 days ago. I went to get a rear tire today and asked him to balance it. When he was about to put the tire on, i asked him if he had balanced, he said i didnt ask him to balance it ., and he came unglued, called me a liar and a bitch and told me to never come back there. He made me cry i was so taken aback, after all the business ive given him. I wouldnt recommend him to anybody ever again. What a creep! read more

My hubby discovered this sweet little gem a few weeks ago. Low Cost Tire and Recycling is a tiny little garage at the intersection of Pittman and 16th St. in the industrial part of Sparks. It is very easy to miss! Rob and his kids have been operating this shop for 2 years now, and have gotten by solely on word of mouth from customers. You're not going to get anything fancy here, but you will get good quality service and bang for your buck! Rob swapped out my snow tires for a full set of new-to-me tires for just under a hundred smackers. It took about a half an hour. In addition to affordable tires, they also take recycling (including washers, dryers, water heaters, etc) and are opening up two new locations- one in Sun Valley and one in Fernley, in the near future. They are open Mon-Sat 9:00-5:30 and are great for those on a budget! read more
