This is a review of my experience on 8/29 in the afternoon. I had been browsing jewelry and was offered assistance, which is no problem. The problem was the content of the employees' conversations while on the floor, in the presence of customers.
One of the employees had been engaging in a conversation with another customer, who seemed to be inquiring about getting a job with them. The employee was nice to her, but once she left the store, she turned to her coworker and said something equivalent to "I had already told her like four times we're not hiring, what's wrong with her?" Then shortly after tuning out that conversation, I heard the same employee say "We only have poor people. Rich girls don't come here."
Context does not matter at that point. Conversations of this quality do not belong on the sales floor. I left shortly after this, not wanting to give either sales associate the pleasure of a sale. I'll stick to the Ka Makana Ali'i location. read more
