Not so filled burrito.

I've been coming here with my girlfriend for a while now. Service has always been great. The only issue I've found is before the new owners, drinks were filled full and the burritos were bigger and filled more even tho they are the same price. We're always excited to come here for coffee and breakfast, but seeing that the prices are the same for less food/ drinks is sad.

Such a great little place !! Great sandwiches, pizza, salads, and coffee! Plus, a porch with games, and large yard to play in

We stopped in after an afternoon at Powell Gardens. Cute spot, but there was no one at the counter upon arrival. Waited 10 mins while saying "Excuse me!" Then I saw someone in the back and got her attention. She said they can't hear anything back there. My matcha was ok, lots of milk and faint matcha flavor. My BLT panini left much to be desired with wilted greens and microwave bacon slices. The kids flatbread pizzas were also lacking in toppings and taste. The food reminded me of cafeteria food. But the inside door was farmhouse cute, lots of local retail stuff and I appreciated the kids corner with books, crayons, games etc.

My delicious coffee and breakfast sandwich.

The best kept secret (coffee wise) outside of the normal city limit parameters is here in Lone Jack and it's this place. The service, food, and more importantly, the coffee is outstanding. I had a bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant for breakfast, and after a few bites the bacon seemed cold, but not a problem. The barista was more than happy to oblige to remake it and make me a new one, and all I wanted was for her to reheat it in the microwave! The place is nestled in a very nice bucolic location, and the farm house was perfectly renovated to maintain its rustic appeal for an out of the way coffee shop.

Absolutely top notch spot. Small town feel but far from small town offerings. So many sandwich, pizza and burrito offerings as well as pastries. They even have salads. All is fresh and prepared as you order. Great quiet place to study but I imagine lunch time could get louder. Service was amazing and coffee delicious. Truly worth the drive from KC then go hike the Blue Gray Trails.

I'm in town from Arizona visiting my mom and my children and I have walked here almost every day that we have been here. IT IS THAT GOOD! We have tried almost everything on their menu (been here 3 weeks lol) and haven't had a bad bite. Some of our favorites: Nani flatbread, pretzel, breakfast burrito with the special sauce (need that recipe to recreate in AZ!) , all the flavored lemonades, iced salted caramel lattes, peanut butter fudge ice cream is to die for (sounds sweet but it's perfection). Seriously, the best breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My only constructive criticism is our pizza could have been cooked a couple minutes longer. Also, staff is amazing. One of our visits had the food delivery guy knocking down power line and the staff handled it like rock stars and had somehow kept orders coming out without their system working. Spotlight on Skyler that was our barista/cashier quite a few times that we adore. She was pleasant, helpful and friendly...really every staff member we have had was great. Sorry for the novel, love the place so much we bought our souvenirs from here lol! Lovett coffee mugs for the win!

Cute, convenient, GF pizza. Great service, it was a pick up order so we did not eat inside.

Super cute coffee shop in an old farmhouse. Great coffee. The menu looked good, but I just had coffee. I will be back for a meal!

Great find right off Highway 50. Had panini and flatbread, both were very good. Nice outdoor seating. Definitely worth a stop.

I had high hopes for the Chipotle Chicken Panini but it lacked flavor and needed to be a little more toasted.

Whistle Stop Coffee Shop is a fantastic coffee shop on Main Street in Lee's Summit…read more I met a friend there this morning for coffee, but I was able to order a French Vanilla pour over. The beans were ground fresh for me. I love French Vanilla coffee, but it's not my wife's favorite. So it was nice to be able to get a cup and enjoy it. I also ordered biscuits and gravy and a glass of milk, which were very tasty. I brought my wife home a cinnamon roll which she enjoyed. She said it was good. The front of the house is pretty bustling and lively. At the back of the restaurant, there's a quieter room and outdoor dining on the patio. I will definitely be returning to this location. Special shout out to the staff, who were magnificent.

I really wanted to like this place. I've lived in LS since 2008 and hadn't gotten around to this…read moreplace. And I'd heard good things. So I'll start with the good: - charm. It's a pretty downtown location. The decor is cozy and nicely decked out for Christmas. - chairs. They spent a little extra on padded leather to save our butts. - service. They're quick and polite. - cleanliness. Now for the less good: - layout. Everything feels tight. It's prettier than it is practical. - drink quality. My daughter found her spiced chai (pictured) overly sweet. And if you look at the pic, you'll notice that they gave her basically 2/3 of a cup. That pic was taken before she took a single sip (yes, I know the straw I used to show the amount looks used; I did use it to search for a tea bag in my tea fog. See below!). My cinnamon/butterscotch tea fog was, to put it politely, unimpressive. I left it steeping at least 15 minutes because it was way too hot to drink. And then I had to get a straw to search for tea bags, because it tasted like hot foamy water and I was convinced they'd forgotten to put the tea bags in. Well, they hadn't. There was one tea bag. My standard of comparison is Gusto over by Longview, which makes the best tea fogs in town. They use two tea bags and it tastes like heaven. Whatever they served me at Whistle Stop tasted like perfumed water. So overall, I give it a 3/5. Points for location and decor and nice chairs. But the main attraction should be the drinks, and they were both kinda terrible. And there's just no excuse for serving someone 2/3 of a cup when we're paying $6 for a small drink.

**I have been to Scout Coffee so many times, I can't believe I have never reviewed it!! Weird**…read more I am a bit of a (self-prescribed) coffee snob. I don't want to drink any other coffee but really, really good craft coffee. If I drink anything else (from a fast food place, or Starbucks, or a Keurig), I will only do so if it's the only option and only if there is heavy whipping cream available. Scout Coffee is my saving grace while I am in Blue Springs. Their coffee is excellent, as good as some big dogs (like Onyx Coffee, Black and White, Intelligentsia, or Counter Culture). Great flavors. Great pour over options. Wonderful seasonal drinks that are not too sweet (although I wish they used better syrup, like Pink House Alchemy). They also serve some bakery items (limited) that are very good! I love their cinnamon sugar posh tart. The atmosphere of the shop is eclectic but comfy. Weird decorations, but it works. In the warmer days, the front porch is a great place to sit and visit with friends, or read a good book. They have good merch options and sell their coffee by both the bag and the bucket. All in all: excellent coffee. Worth the drive if you are 20-30mins nearby in KC. Oh, and the service is excellent! So friendly. So helpful.
