I came across Love Pho while looking for soupy noodles a while back and I was pleasantly surprised. Their noodles had a nice texture, which was slightly more chewy than other pho places. The soup was decent and the amount of meat for their special was a bit less than expected, so I'd give them 8/10 read more

Restaurant was clean and provided excellent service. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Their pho dac biet was delicious. They even let us try the broth for a peanut based pho, which I will try next time. I have tried that at other restaurants but it wasn't as good as this one. I ordered takeout from here through skip the dishes today. I was craving for pho and this place definitely satisfied my cravings. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodle) $12 and the Satay Pho $12. However with the delivery fee and tip, the total ended up being around $30. Both dishes were both super flavourful and the portions were big. Compared to other Pho places in the city, this place is decent but not the best. The price is a bit high for what you get. As for packaging, I like how they put the broth in a separate container wrapped in a bag so it wouldn't spill and everything was neatly organized. I put the noodles in a bowl at home since it was more sanitary. The broth was still hot when I received it. To be safe, I also microwaved the dishes to ensure the meat is cooked. Overall, it was a delicious lunch and this was a good takeout experience. read more

I rarely venture out to this side of town, so I thought I would pick up some pho on my way back.I randomly picked a Vietnamese restaurant nearby with a good rating and so here we are. The menu is fairly standard. While not listed in the menu, you have your choice of medium or large sized pho. The portion size wasnt too bad for a "large" in comparison to some of the other pho places. I asked for "lots of bean sprouts ", so not sure what their standard offerings are, but was happy to see the amount (and quality) of sprouts that I got. Broth is a touch on the sweeter side, and you can definitely smell the cinnamon. I'm personally not a fan of the sweeter broths. Noodles came uncooked, so make sure your broth is nice and hot prior to pouring it over your noodles. Decent amount of meat; nice, fatty beef, just the way I like it. Couple pieces of tendon and maybe a piece or two of shredded up tripe. Nothing special to the #10 that I ordered, hence the 3 star rating. Ample free parking outside. We met a friend for lunch here and he's a regular and spoke highly about this place. There was a steady stream of customers and take out drivers during the 90 minutes were there. It was busiest at noon but there were still tables available. We were in a corner booth and the seating was a bit dirty so we told the man working there and he was quick to get his spray bottle and wipe down the seating. I ordered the vermicelli bowl with grilled pork and 2 spring rolls. The food arrived pretty quick after ordering. My vermicelli was not soggy or clumped together but there wasn't as much meat and cucumbers and lettuce as I like and lots of bean sprouts. But the price was reasonable at $13 and they provided ample amount of fish sauce. We had water but when we asked for tea, they brought us a pot and cups and we didn't have to pay extra for this. Pho. Pronounced Feu .which is the French word for fire. . Who pronounce it as FO . But either way it's a delicious soup on a autumn day. This place is tucked away in a strip mall and if you don't know ,you can miss it. Ok.. onto the soups.. there is a variety of pho soups to choose from and other dishes . I really was craving pho and I've never been here before. My order was to go because I didn't want to dine in .. not feeling great . The place has a great Vietnamese feel to it and is very clean . About 5 minutes later my order was ready. When I got home , I had two containers ( one with broth, the other with veggies and beef ) and a plastic bag with the sprouts ( bean sprouts to be exact ). This spot has the BEST pho sate!!! You MUST try this. It's a spicy peanut soup and they broth is absolutely delish. Best Pho Sate I've tried in the city thus far. This time though, we ordered the Pho Dac Biet, which is their noodle soup that has ALL the meat in it. We ordered the extra large size so we can share as a family and we still had leftovers for the next day. The broth was good, well made before I added anything to it which is always a good sign. We also ordered the grilled pork salad rolls. They are on the small size but they do have 3 to an order vs most places that usually have 2 to an order so I guess that makes up for it. They were good and their peanut sauce was good too. We also ordered the shaking beef which is a dish we discovered through a show on Netflix and it's so delicious!!! This has become our favorite pho place! We've ordered twice through Skip the Dish and it's come well organized and HOT. Everything was sooooo good. Chicken Pho - Pho Ga Satay Pho - Pho Sate Steak Pho - Pho Tai Green Onion Cakes I've had the chicken pho each time I've ordered. The broth is hands down the best broth I've had. I even strained my left overs and took the broth in a mug to work the next day. Husband has Satay Pho - he said it was spicy but not too hot. Daughter tried Steak Pho for the first time (first pho) ever. I think next time she'll have chicken but she enjoyed it. The green onion cakes are big and delicious. Excellent place to get some Pho. The kids wanted some noodles and the wife was in the mood for something soupy. This place worked out perfect. We got some Pho with chicken and Shanghai noodles. We also got some chicken salad rolls for starters. Everything came out quite quick and were delicious. I am very disappointed with an order I received from this restaurant. I ordered a wonton soup with beef. (The order was through skip the dishes.) After a few minutes of making the order, I had someone from the restaurant call me, asking if I wanted the "meat on the side or in the soup." I naturally assumed it would be in the soup, and explained this (as many Vietnamese soups come with different meats, etc). The employee seemed to think I should have it on the side, so perplexed, I said ""Sure it doesn't matter. Put it on the side." When it arrived, it was raw. The meat was absolutely pure raw (see photo). I was astounded. I called the restaurant back and the first person I spoke to was not able to communicate well enough in English, so I was passed on to the supervisor. She explained that it would "cook" in the soup broth. Needless to say I had to cook the meat separately (and only ordered in the first place because I was in such a rush!) I was NOT impressed. Also the portion sizes were very very small. 9$ for an order of "not so big" salad rolls. Never again! read more

This pho place is fairly new to the area, and I finally got the chance to stop by and check it out! Its more of a fast-paced pho restaurant, like most of the Vietnamese restaurants we have in Edmonton. Quick in and quick out! I ordered a regular pho special, as did my boyfriend. The sizes here are pretty small for the "regular" bowls. The broth was flavourful, but there was definitely too many noodles for the small amount of meat that you get. I like them to even out each other. The servers are all extremely nice and we had one girl server that was super attentive and always refilled our waters. I'm always thirsty so I really appreciated her refilling my water every 5 minutes (just kidding! like every 10. heh) This is the closest pho restaurant from my place so I'll likely be a regular here. I just hope that they figure out the portioning as it seems a little inconsistent when I'm reading other reviews. read more

The resto is clean and the food we ordered fairly okay. Good service. One thing I hate most, I was surprised when i saw somebody cleaning the men's washroom using the TOILET BRUSH to clean the sink. stopped here for lunch on a wednesday afternoon. the restaurant is cute and of decent size. i love'd the booths, super comfy and plush. it seemed like there were two ladies serving, an older lady (did not like her very much by the end of my experience) and a younger lady (who was really sweet, and made up for her older colleague) we ordered: green onion cakes - really good spring rolls - your average spring meat spring roll #22 brisket, flank, tendon, and crunchy flank pho - decent broth, the flank was almost to soft though, almost not crunch to the flank. however, they are very generous with the noodle and meat portion. Personally i prefer a little less noodle and more soup. But I won't say it's a negative. Also, the older server did not bring out my aromatics/bean sprouts for the pho, i had to ask her for the plate- definitely was not impressed. #43 three colour vermicelli, sub rice - the meat was very taste i also didn't really enjoy the taste of their fish sauce, had an odd taste in comparison to what i'm used to. i noticed that table maintenance was also not great. my friend and i were there for about an hour and a half and the servers weren't really cleaning up after people left. they would just leave the booths with plates for at least 15 minutes before coming to clean, or if customers requested the dirty booth. when it was time to pay, the older lady did not know how to split the payment for the two appetizers and almost demanded that my friend and i two just put one dish on each tab. thankfully the younger lady came and split the tabs as we desired. overall, it's not an amazing pho spot in terms of food and service but if you live southwest it's nice to not have to travel far for some vietnamese cuisine. read more

So came in to grab some food to go... looked at the actual to go menu. Went to place the order at the counter, decided on some pork noodles and a small pho. Only to be told that they can't do small pho to go, and the reason for that is... drum roll... it looks to small when put in the to go container! What? Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what a small portion supposed to look like..small! Anywho, tried reasoning with the girl that was going 1000 miles an hour, and was not successful. My favourite pho dish is the spicy satay, and Love Pho's is one of the best I've had. The flavours are balanced and it has just the right amount of spice. The green onion cakes and spring rolls are cooked to perfection. I've ordered the satay from here multiple times and it's always on par. However, once I decided to order the regular rare beef pho tai instead, expecting the same level of deliciousness, and it was really disappointing compared to how good the satay was. Kind of "blah", lacking the complex flavours in the broth that make pho so good. I will continue to order from them, but only the satay. I'll go somewhere else for plain Pho Tai. read more

I really wanted to love this Restaurant because it's close and a couple of people had recommended it. However, the price is not comparable to the Vietnamese restuarant I usually do go to. I ordered the vermicelli and grilled beef with spring rolls,added shrimp. It came out to about the same price as the other place,but with less portions. The grilled beef did not look nor taste grilled, and was very chewy, the spring rolls were very doughy, and the whole dish I found lacked a lot of flavour. The staff there were friendly and the restuarant itself is big and looks clean. However,the utensils I received with my take-out were dirty. Will not be going back. read more

Great place for viet food. It was packed on Canada Day, and food still came out decently fast and quality was maintained. I see others on Yelp judging table maintenance but I really think it's just because they don't have enough servers yet to clear out tables that have such a big group. When I was there, there was many groups of 8 or more eating at once. As a new locally owned restaurant, staff are hard to hire. Either way, my table was clean. Food was great. Delicious.
