Sadly I can't give this place many stars. I stopped in here on a Saturday at 11:30am. There was only two people in there. I waited a few minutes before the staff came out and told me to sit wherever. I ordered the number 1 steak pho and a Diet Coke. It came pretty fast but it was disappointing, the broth lacked any flavour, the toppings were really sparse, so if you like onion and cilantro I suggest asking for a bit more. I'm not sure what sauce was in the sirracha bottle but it wasn't sirracha. The employee seemed to be working alone in the restaurant so I had to wait a bit to pay because she was in the back cooking. The best Pho that I have had in Alberta. The service was fast and friendly. The spring rolls were so good that I ordered a second helping. The prices were average I was very happy that the hostess wore a face guard rather than a stupid mask. I could actually hear her clearly ans see her facial expressions as well as read her lips (a well thought out plan for the hearing impaired customers) Our server went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and saw to our every need. I get the big bowl of pho with all the fixins. It's fresh, the noodles are always perfect. The spring rolls are tasty, but at only 3 per serving they're unusually pricey. I do not believe that I am being overly generous with my 5-star rating. Allow me the chance to explain why. I have dined at countless Vietnamese restaurants, both locally and abroad. I am no stranger to Vietnamese street food and the traditional recipes that come from different regions in Vietnam. I have a sense when establishments resort to shortcuts and flavor masking in the preparation of food items. Hence, I can confidently say that Delicious Pho stands tall amongst its competitors. The pho broths are fragrant and clean in appearance. My typical go-to item on the menu, BUN BO HUE, is a spicy beef soup that is remarkably well-balanced (in terms of flavor). The lemongrass notes are clearly present. I add a squeeze or two of lime juice to the broth for a further flavor experience. What I largely applaud is the lack of MSG and sodium in what I have ordered thus far. COM GA NUONG XA (lemongrass chicken over broken rice) introduces a dynamic marinade to thinly sliced chicken breast, which is then stir-fried with red and green bell peppers and onions until a caramel glaze begins to form. In a word ... delectable! I strongly suggest that you upgrade the accompanying plain rice to coconut rice for a pleasant twist. I have found that the service is sufficiently attentive, whilst not being too overwhelming or intrusive. On the busiest of days, one can usually expect to receive an order of pho in 10 minutes or less. With that said, if time is not on your side (for dining in), pho is definitely the way to go! The one downside to my dining experiences here, albeit infrequent, is the darkened, spotty appearance to the basil that is served. I understand that keeping basil fresh can be difficult, so I do not necessarily feel it is fair to critique a place on points like this alone. What concerns me far more are the finer points such as quality ingredients, the relational proportions of those ingredients, the flavor that comes from patient cooking methods, the responsible practice of using little to no MSG and sodium in recipes, and a decent menu price. This Delicious Pho, and its sister property at 10418 124 Street in downtown Edmonton, will provide you a dining experience that exceeds that of its competitors. I come here about once a week to get my regular need for Pho because it's close to my work and there's always plenty of space for me to park! I consider myself a regular here because when I walk in they ask me "same order?" as I'm on my way to my favourite spot on the left side of the door that's kind of hidden away from everything. Every time it's a yes to the regular sized pho with sliced steak with extra steak just because why not treat myself to some more steak! It's always exactly what I need and they always seem to know it. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is they seem to give fewer beans now and it sucks causes I LOVE the beans! I also had a poor skip the dishes experience with this restaurant getting lemongrass chicken. I find you get better quality everything when you actually take the time to sit down in the restaurant but you can only do so much with takeout food! But if you're ever craving a nice simple bowl of pho, here's a great place to stop in! They'll take great care of you. They recently got new chairs that are extremely comfortable as well. read more

Stopped in with my wife for lunch. Wasn't planned, we stumbled upon this quaint spot after our original destination didn't happen as planned. I've been told this is a wonderful place from my cousin. Well for a Saturday lunch it was quiet, which is not what I had expected. There were a few other parties of people in there. The decor is very modern and very inviting. Staff are very friendly, easy to tell that this is a family run business and they will be very successful. The selections of dishes had no shortage. We had a few questions and the staff basically jumped at the idea of helping us. The portion sizes are fantastic for the prices the large size of pho for only $1 more than regular is definitely a great deal. The bowl was huge. I had the pho with flank steak, brisket, tripe and tendons. Yes glorious tendons! The broth was amazing possibly the best I've ever tasted. The addition of copious amounts of cilantro add a wonderful tang to the taste buds. The steak and brisket were tender and perfect. The perfect amount of onions added for flavour, the tendons were plentiful never had a bowl of pho with that many tendons. The only issue I had with my pho was the pieces of tripe were too big, a knife would've been great to make smaller sizes. To top it all off the vermicelli was cooked to perfection. Fans of pho need to try this pho sho! My wife had the grilled chicken and prawns vermicelli bowl minus the prawns. She wasn't feel the prawns today. The staff substituted the prawns for a spring roll. Which was delicious might I add! The vermicelli was the perfect texture, chicken cooked to perfection and seasoned just right paired with a tangy fish sauce. I enjoy vermicelli bowls but this is the top shelf of food quality. For a first time this visit did not disappoint. With friendly staff, fast fresh food which is flavourful and delicious, healthy portion sizes and a total bill which shocked me of how cheap it was so surprised. The atmosphere is very inviting and I can't wait to go back. This place has definitely not seen the end of my family! read more

One of the better restaurants in the Sherwood Park area. The interior of this restaurant is ok, a bit busy for my liking. Maybe choosing a lighter colour scheme would be better. The service on the other hand is hands down WAY better than the 124th Street location, kudos to the owner and staff. The Pho is very good. I think the Pho I've had in Pho Hoa St. Albert has more flavour but Delicious Pho's have bigger portion. read more

I am always searching for a delicious bowl of pho and this place definitely lives up to its name. Not only is the pho broth flavourful and hot, there is never a lack of noodles or ingredients. Service is awesome and if you happen to be there when the larger than life owner is working, it's an experience you never forget. The pho is my personal fav but they also make amazing vermicelli bowls and Vietnamese sub sandwiches. Oh and the Vietnamese coffee is one of the best. I ordered a bubble tea via SkipTheDishes only to have delicious Pho call me to let me know it wasn't available and I had three flavour options left to choose from. Holy shit lol I have never seen a bowl of soup that big in my life !! I just started laughing and right away starting to regret getting the large one lol. I put some nice hot chilli oil all over that baby along with hoisin sauce and I was ready to start my eating workout lol. The tripes and tendons were awesome and the beef saw still red when she served me my soup!! Loved it ... Loved every seconds of It !!! I almost .... Almost finished it All... Soup: we had a Pho with steak and tendon. Generous size overall with above average serving of steak and tendon. A nice broth slightly floral broth. Vermicelli Bowl: Really, really disappointing. The meat had the look and texture of boiled meat. The meat is not marinaded, instead it is drowned in sauce after cooking. So you don't get any good carmelization. I used up 8 napkins trying to sop some of the sauce up. It was pretty nasty. It was really thick and tasted like oyster and garlic Chinese stir fry. Definitely recommend passing in the Vermicelli bowls. If you like Chinese stir fry meat, consider asking them to lighten up on the sauce. If you want a traditional, marinated and grilled, you'll find this fish really off-putting. Spring Rolls: they weren't hot but the flavour was above average. Very good. Subs: saw one go by. Looked good. Location: Same parking lot as Cora's so parking is a pain. The restaurant itself is inviting. Menu: Lots of variety on menu. Will go back for soup and other options. We went tonight with our family and were SO impressed with the food and service. Food was incredibly fresh and tasty. Portion sizes were huge and we left REALLY full. Our kids really enjoyed their Bubble Tea smoothies as well. We will most definitely be back with more friends and family. #48 on the menu was one of the best things I've ever eaten. We decided to try this place after finding out our favorite place wasn't open until 430. It was very busy and the decor is nice so we were hopeful. However, we quickly noticed the wheels were spinning and the bus wasn't moving. Got seated with menus in about 7 minutes. The young male server came by and took our order soon after. We had lots to talk about so we weren't watching the clock but we had 4 different orders brought to our table. Finally our appetizers came (green onion cake - very good and after the second try - salad rolls - large, bland and not much meat). Shortly after came our Pho (two number 3s steak and meatball) and it didn't live up to the name. The noodles were very spongy and very little meat, maybe two quarter meatballs. Broth was OK a bit on the salty side. We never got any drinks. Both of us didn't finish our soup. We left and had to wait about 5 minutes to be acknowledged to even pay our bill that didn't exist in their system. It was $32 for two people with no drinks (not even water was brought to the table). The broth was good - but they were very skimpy on the seafood and won tons. The won ton soup was mostly cabbage and the seafood soup was mostly both. Long review, but I recommend saving yourself the trip and reading this instead of experiencing it for yourself. I have been to this restaurant 20+ times, not because the food/service is good, but because it is fast and close to my work, I returned each time only because I knew that I would be served in less than 10 minutes. SERVICE: POOR! One waitress there is very sweet, not the best, but very nice. The young girl that is there, usually during the day, has the WORST attitude I have ever come across. She does not acknowledge you when you come in, you are lucky if she even replies when you speak to her, don't even think of asking for something after she has already taken 10 seconds to "listen" to your order. If you don't get an eye roll or "hurry up" eyebrow raise while ordering, she must like you. I used to be a server, I understand that sometimes you get busy and stressed out, but out of the 20+ times I went for lunch here, not once was she nice. It's also quite annoying when you see her return to the counter to sit on her cell phone after rushing you. Lastly, when it's your turn to be in a rush- they could care less. No one there pays attention to you (me anyway) when sitting there with your card out. 9/10 times I have to walk up to them, interrupt their conversation, and ask to pay. FOOD: Honestly, meh. It is good for how fast you get it but I usually get that sick, too full feeling after eating only half of my bowl/plate. There is another pho restaurant 5 minutes down the road and the difference in quality is crazy, so much better. I can also eat almost my entire bowl there without feeling sick, maybe it's just less greasy (which you can notice on the top of the broth). Anyway, I gave this place one last chance today. Sure enough, I walk into the restaurant to see her (young waitress) looking down at something (I assume her cell phone), she didn't even look up. The nice waitress had to yell "have a seat" from across the restaurant. The younger girl took my order while hardly listening to me as usual, almost didn't even get to order a beverage because she went to walk away before I said what I wanted... 5 minutes later she brings me the WRONG SOUP. Grr. As I mentioned before, I think it's safe to say I'm a regular at this place, therefore I know the menu. Everything that is supposed to be in the soup wasn't even in it. I couldn't bother to complain because I'm sure she would have rolled her eyes and attempted to bring me a new one, which at that point I didn't have time for. Overall, I am extremely disappointed. I have spent so much money and time here, I gave them the benefit of the doubt each time, that maybe next time they'll be better and if anything the service got worse.
