Really great value for 22 bucks, and the food was flavourful and bright. Loved the satay skewers and the mango salad as standouts. I would order this again. We split the pineapple fried rice and the cantonese chow mein. Both were tasty. I generally do not order chow mein myself, but this was really lovely and great for non spice lovers. First, let's start with the Pineapple fried rice, it looked great on the plate and it was and had all the things mixed but the flavor was a 3 out of 10, it was almost as if they didn't salt the food at all which I thought was bizarre but I was hungry so I ate half of it. Now to the general tao chicken, typically this is a very reliable dish here in the states but at this restaurant it felt like someone purchased popcorn chicken from a grocery store and put some fresh veggies on top and added some strange sauce which was a mixture of sweet and sour sauce and fish sauce? The flavor of the chicken was also 3 out of 10 and it was very difficult to chew because the pieces were quite hard. Maybe this was just a bad day for for the server because she didn't even bother bringing me any sauces for my rice, she never returned after dropping off my food and I had to get up and get my own to-go box while she helped other customers. The ambiance was pretty cool but that could not save this experience.
