This is a cool place! We took a ride up over the weekend since it was a perfect day for motorcycle riding. The ride itself was great, but Lou's Blues was just as great. For the life of me, I don't understand how our server remembered everything she did. She took a dozen orders, some intricate, and wrote nothing down. As far as I'm aware, everything came out correct too -- and was even placed at the right seats! I mean... should I be scared? That's just impressive. I ordered one of their pizzas with shaved rib eye and it was fantastic. I love the wood burning oven style pizza, so that's right up my alley. Every town needs a dive bar like this...full of character, happy hour specials, local drunkards, drunken tourists, and sticky floors. My only disappointment is that it isn't really close to any other bars to go to. So, you can't really bar hop and you're pretty isolated as far as drinking locations go. This is more of a drinking hole for the hotel tourists that are aligned on the beach. Nonetheless, it is fun place to go to for Dirty Bingo on Mondays at 7! It was my first time there and my wife and friends enjoyed ourselves very much. The service was very good, as was the food. We've been here a bunch of times. Location is great overlooking the beach upstairs on deck. Bands are usually good too. Food leaves a lot to be desired. In the past year, the quality of the food has changed. My boyfriend ordered fried shrimp, which he has ordered previously, but this time he said it was very greasy. I ordered chicken cheesesteak and the onions were not tasting too good - as if they had been sitting in the sauce far too long. The avocado dip is excellent. Also, the last time I was there I had chicken fingers and they, along with the fries tasted like they were cooked with fish. I also tried nachos with cheese and beef and that was really good. Drove over 40 minutes to go listen to Sheepdawgs. The sound sucked they had them so muted. And the drinks sucked. I ordered 2 Washington apples made with Crown, not sure there was any Crown in them. Very disappointing. Lou's just isn't the rocking Bar I was familiar with. Won't go back. read more

Our server was great!! We sat outside, were greeted promptly and had a nice drink and appetizer. They have the menu online so we had an idea of the food options and were excited to try it out. One major downside, especially being right off the coast, is the use of plastic. We were served styrofoam plates, plastic utensils, plastic straws and plastic cups. Being a beach town it would be great to see them a little more eco friendly. That won't stop us from coming back to try more food though we would love to see that change. Maybe they were short a dishwasher? Regardless this is a fun place to hangout, very relaxed atmosphere, and family friendly. People of all ages were eating or enjoying drinks. Awesome place right by the beach. There was live music and good drinks. I had a few margs and a beer. For food I got the homewrecker. Super tasty. Unbelieveable prices for the amount of food you get. Only reason I'm not 5 starring is the service was lacking. Having to wave down someone for a drink on a non busy night is frustrating. Also no prebusing at the table. Went over for a wonderful Father's Day. Got our food such was good but never had anyone else come for over 20 minutes. Walked right by us without even looking our way. Flagged down an worker and he said he would get our waitress. Again she never came. So saw someone that I think was the owner and asked him to get us the bill. One waitress came right over and was apologetic, then Jennifer came over and threw the bill on the table and said I'll see you again in another 20 minutes. I'm a huge fan of quirky dive bars. This one comes with a nice beach view upstairs. I went during the afternoon for drinks, so I don't know much about their food. The inside and music venue were decorated with crazy mesh of naughty and novelty things, it made me want to come back during live music nights. I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon in Melbourne then taking a walk along the beach and catching a bite to eat on a restaurant that overlooks the big blue. The patio here is defiantly one of the best places to be on a sunny day. I ended up ordering a blues burger. The flavor was above and beyond any burger that I had tasted in a long time. The atmosphere here was extremely unique. I actually walked inside and went to look at all the neat decorations that they had inside. Some were old and others were just cool. There were also a ton of awesome pictures. I think our whole stay was about 2 1/2 to three hours. It was deffinaty worth the time to go look around, enjoy the amazing scenery and talk to the locals. If youre a tourist, great, you get a one or two day snapshot. If youre a local, you realize these bartenders need Jon Tapper style customer service training. Do I go here, yes bcause its the only beach bar around, do I recommend it, yes, just have very low expectations. As a bartender in the business, and a customer service rep in another business field, I can legitimately say .. most of this staff should be put out of a job today. Monday night they have Dirty Bingo so went to check it out for fun. It got full very quick so much so that people were up on the roof top area or standing room . The cards are free to play just buy your food and drinks . Everyone seems to enjoy coming as there was a few regulars . The girl calling out the numbers was funny as all .... . The menu is good even with a veggie burger thou I will pass on it the next time as wasn't to happy with how dry is was but the avocado sauce was nice and spicy.
