A typical live music/sports bar, nothing fancy. On the nights I've been there, it's definite geared to live music. Bartenders are friendly enough. I haven't noticed any servers on the floor, which would be nice (not saying there isn't any, just haven't seen them myself). There are several TVs with sporting events on, even with the band. Being so close to Coconuts, you would think a place like this wouldnt be so much better! Not so much a hole in the wall cause of the relaxing back patio they have. Fits a lot of people and it really is a better time then next door. They had a band that really shit on whoever they had at Coconuts playing Africa. This guys in here were straight super talented shredding the dowg wallapin geetar. The drinks were cheap and they have Amberbock on tap which you can find me chuggin away under that mug! Dont think they had any food tho, didnt ask or notice any. Main part is the back patio for sure to hang out at. NO CIGARS which sucked, would be so much better if that was allowed! read more

Bar tender is basically a thief, or very dumb, and very rude. We got two drinks and were charged 16 dollars. We then ordered one more of the same and were also charged 16 dollars. I could see him visibly thinking of what price he wanted to charge. It is unclear whether the money even ended up in the till. We were afraid to confront him so we just paid and left. Other than that the location is great. Lovely view of the ocean. A lot of heavy smokers made the air a bit unpleasant. read more

This place was a little hole in the wall. As you walk in your greeted by the smell of cigarette smoke but the beer selection is good. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The clientel were very chill and talkative. If you are looking for a nice place to have conversations and be right on the water this is not a bad spot. Cool bar on the beach with a dive bar vibe to speak to the beach bum spirit that exists within us all. They are next to the infinitely more popular Cocoanuts and does live a bit in their shadow, but I am sure that they have gotten some business from being next to such an iconic destination type bar. If I could give this place 0 stars to write a review, I would. Upon entry, my service dog and I entered during peak time on Christmas Eve. With the loud music and busy ambiance, it took us a while to find a place where it would be comfortable for us to stand. Within 45 seconds of being in one place, a staff member approached me and told me that I had to leave. I responded to him saying that he is a SERVICE DOG and the staff member had the audacity to respond "well my manager said he is not acting like a service dog". I am absolutely appalled at the lack of communication, respect and understanding from this place. This staff member was wrong, rude, disrespectful and negligent. Service dogs are protected under the FDA and therefore, a person cannot be asked to leave due to having one accompanying and aiding a person. From the lack of disgust, I immediately walked out. From a visitor, first time here in Cocoa Beach, I will absolutely never go back into this place again. Don't even waste your time going, the servers and staff members are arrogant, rude and clearly do not understand the true nature of hospitality. If this was such an issue, the manager themselves should have approached me instead of having someone else do their work for them. Absolutely never again. Service is something to be desired,if you enjoy serving yourself your own drinks. I must say the atmosphere is amazing; however the attitudes of the staff and entertainment really wouldn't want you to hurry back anytime soon. They should be gracious to a customer who danced in 100 degree plus weather for hours to try to engage crowd participation. After a day of dancing ,no food excessive heat, and a couple drinks,nothing to the point of no return..I was so dizzy and exhausted miscalculated a dance turn and was humiliated and escorted by bouncers to leave the establishment, because I bumped into the standing microphone, which by the way didn't fall or in anyway was damaged. Unless you are grabbing a bottled beer, we would not recommend stopping here! We stopped in because their neighbors, Coconuts on the Beach, was swamped. We tried margarita that tasted more like a salt block and then tried the piña colada which they didn't mix with rum, instead put the rum in the shot glass then put the shot glass in the piña mix. The only 2 positive things I can say: 1. the pizza they serve is order from another place & delivered. The pepperoni pizza roll was good. And 2. At least it had a Oceanside view. read more

Beachfront dive bar right on the sand in old Cocoa Beac next to Coconuts. You can order food from the pizza place at the corner and they'll run it down. Soup of the day? Margarita. I ordered a Landshark which was on a poster as a special - ran me $4.50. They had a band playing - older gents in their 50s-60s playing some classic rock, but I didn't recognize the songs (and I am a classic rock fan). Someone else stated it perfectly - this is a run down dive bar with pool tables - this is our kind of place! Great live music last night (Thursday jam) with some fantastic musicians! Harmonicas, electric guitar & a sax! Seriously a lot of fun! And of course some drinking and dancing going on! We love the outdoor seating area looking out onto the beach. Love Love Love this little bar. We went there because Coconuts, which is right next door was sooo crowded. Not to worry, plenty of outdoor shaded comfy seating overlooking the beach at the Beach Shack. Not to fussy, comfy seating. You can smoke if you are interested in that, and although this is not a restaurant, they give you menus of several nearby restaurants who will deliver to you. What's not to like? This is my first visit. I came to see a local band and managed to score a seat at the bar. The band was very popular and there were a LOT of people wanting drinks. The staff did s great job of taking care of everyone. Especially bartender Jenn. I spent a lot of time in the industry, and have never seen someone who could multitask like she can! I keep getting distracted by all the fine bitches walking around, thong country bro. I'm staring at this girls ass as she bends over to grab her babies pacifier, trying to peek that brown eye dude. She walks off giving me a clear view of the beach and who should I see rolling up on this place, KELLY, FUCKING, SLATER, BRO! For real.
