After several visits to Thirsty Bones my opinion has not changed. Nice little pub with friendly staff and free pool.

Everything offered on their drink menu is made on site with the exception of 3 drinks. They offer 4 different fights ($18-$25 for 4 drinks). They offer classic cocktails, craft cocktails, and their distillery spirits. Not a drinker (you're in the wrong place, ha!), no problem, as they have non alcohol beverages / mixers as well as Mocktails! I ordered their Florida Gold Rum ($12.00). It's a rum that's aged 5 years in bourbon barrels and finished in a sherry cask barrel. It's balanced with notes of raisins, cooked bananas, caramelized fruit, along with oak derived vanilla. (43% ALC/VOL) I enjoyed my drink. It was good and had quite the kick to it. The inside is inviting and comfortable and the patrons and employees are nice and conversational. It was a pleasant and new experience for me and I recommend you check them out. Hours are: Sun-Mon: Closed Tue-Thur: 3pm-8pm Fri-Sat: 2pm-9pm

The place clearly has a strong neighborhood vibe. Even on a holiday, it felt like a regular hangout spot where many of the patrons seemed to know each other and the bartenders. That kind of atmosphere always adds a layer of warmth you can't manufacture. Service-wise, our waitress was very friendly and attentive when she was at the table. Food delivery did take longer than expected considering the restaurant didn't appear overly busy, but to be fair, it was a specialized St. Patrick's Day menu which likely slowed the kitchen down. Now to the food. My co-diner ordered the corned beef Reuben, served on grilled rye with a generous pile of crinkle fries. The sandwich was stacked with tender corned beef and had that classic deli-style balance of meat and sauerkraut. He described it simply as "very good," which from him is a strong endorsement. I ordered the traditional Irish stew with potatoes and cabbage, which came plated with a hearty portion of mashed potatoes. The stew itself had a few nice chunks of beef and vegetables in a rich brown gravy that definitely leaned into bold seasoning. The only note is that the pepper level was quite heavy across the stew, mashed potatoes, and cabbage. If you're someone who enjoys a strong pepper-forward flavor profile, this will absolutely be right up your alley. Portions were generous and the meal definitely delivered that comfort-food, stick-to-your-ribs Irish pub feeling. Overall, a positive experience with friendly service, a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere, and hearty holiday fare. I'd happily come back again -- especially to explore more of the regular menu outside the St. Patrick's Day rush.

I signaled the bartender to let her know there was no fish, only batter, when suddenly approached by someone from the kitchen. I told him there were two small pieces of fish amongst this pile of batter and I was not satisfied with the meal. He has said, making excuses that he had cooked it himself and that it was fine. He took my plate of batter and walked off with an attitude. Recommend the fish and chips. The cook was rude and disrespectful. Definitely not at all what expected. I will never be back. Came for Easter dinner, left Hungary and Angry.

Walking in, it reminded me of a TGI Fridays with vibrant colors and low key vibes. It's not a huge place but there is a small bar and booths, as well as high top tables. The menu items are interesting and unconventional. Patrons get a complimentary bowl of Flaming Hot Cheetos and this totally makes sense and is a little peep into what their menu and creations are all about. When I tell you I think their Korean Chicken Sandwich, in my opinion, is the best chicken sandwich I've had in a long time or the best in Brevard county, I stand by it. I've been twice now and after having had that sandwich on my first visit, upon going in for my 2nd time, I couldn't resist to order it again. I think it has a nice sweet, savory taste with a little heat and texture which I enjoy. I did sample one of their speciality holiday cocktails too and it was amazing! Based on my latest visit on a Saturday night, the place was busy and hopping so I see I am not alone in enjoying Nitro Kitchen's creations.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Apparently, the Yelp Skynet a.k.a. the AI that green or red flags reviews, doesn't like the actual name of this pub despite the fact it is the pub's name. Ergo, I will use the abbreviation VI for the remainder of this review. Besides that, you really can't go wrong going to any of the pubs in Historic Cocoa Village. VI is one of the pubs on the eastern side of the Village, in between the famous Fat Donkey's Ice Cream and the furthest east pub in the village, Ryan's. Appearance-wise, the outside fits primarily with the building, but there are some minute details that give it its own personality, primarily around its name. There is also a section of the road and sidewalk that have been garrisoned for VI as outdoor seating and games such as bean bag toss. Indoors, it is definitely your kinda pub that many of the patrons are friends. The right side (East) have long tables with many pub and drinking games such as Hook & Ring and Shut The Box. There is a bookshelf filled to the brim with board games in case patrons prefer traditional or childhood classics. The left side (West) is the "Patio," a room that is decorated by numerous plants, neon lighting, widker and a black-and-white checkerboard floor. Finally, the middle of the pub is the actual bar, in the form of an L-shape serving a nice arrangement of beers from many breweries, cideries, distilleries, and meaderies across the United States. I had the Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale by Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. Other beer selections I would recommend include the Pineapple Cider by the famous Carib Brewing Co. and the Mango Cart by Golden Road Brewing. Personal note on the latter: Mango Carts, well for me, only taste good when straight from the tap. Cans are not good. And the food, it is minimal, but boy does VI know how to tug at my heartstrings as everything they have features, or could feature, cheese. They have pretzels with cheese, pickles with cheese, and my personal favorite, grilled cheese sandwiches. And for the more sophisticated patron, they have numerous choices in charcuterie boards, too. I will also state the drink prices are a bit on the high side compared to some other places I been to. And there are two restrooms that are single-serving and gender-specific. I don't believe the latter has to be gender-specific because they are single-serving. The barn doors are an interesting choice because they are not very good at blocking sound. I guess that is why VI blasts the music so nobody can hear the flatulence. Speaking of music, VI does have a small corner stage for small acts, possibly singular, to perform. Unless there is a pull-out large stage for outdoor performances, I don't see big bands, per se in higher number of members, performing here unless they can all jam in that tight-spaced stage. Ultimately, I am going to give VI three-out-of-five stars for this review. They are a solid pub that has all the fixin's of a good bar to go to. Maybe it is safe to say they really don't stand out too much, especially amongst the more unique bars in Historic Cocoa Village. But still, a good place to have a drink with friends with that "Everybody knows your name" kinda vibe.
