I have been a loyal Louis Vuitton customer since my early 20s, and I am now in my 50s. Over the years, I have spent tens of thousands of dollars with the brand and have always had exceptional service and positive experiences--until today. Just one month ago, I spent approximately $5,000 at the Louis Vuitton boutique in Hawaii. I have always appreciated their products and the level of customer service, which is why today's experience at the Costa Mesa location was so disappointing. This was the very first time I have ever returned an item. The wallet had never been used. In fact, it remained in its original box for the entire week that I owned it. I specifically told my daughter that we would not remove or use it unless we were certain we wanted to keep it. After thinking about it, I decided the color was simply too light and would be difficult to maintain, so I chose to return it. When I arrived at the store, I provided my receipt, and my purchase history was already in the Louis Vuitton system. The sales associate, Linda, opened the wallet and immediately claimed she saw a blemish. I explained that the wallet had never been used and had just purchased it the prior week and had remained in its box since the day I purchased it. I was well within the return time frame and if there was a so called blemish- Louis Vuitton sold it to me like that. I also told her I did not see the mark she was referring to. Despite my explanation, Linda insisted there was a blemish and told me she would not be able to process the return. She then called over a manager. The manager carefully examined the wallet, found no issue with it, apologized to me repeatedly, and processed my return without hesitation. She also informed me that she would speak with Linda regarding the situation. Although the return was ultimately completed, the experience itself was extremely embarrassing and upsetting. I would never attempt to return a used luxury item, and being treated as though I had done something dishonest was both insulting and unprofessional. The real issue is that Louis Vuitton sold me the wallet in that condition. If there had been a blemish--which there was not--Linda was looking for something microscopic that even the manager could not see. Louis Vuitton sold me the item in that condition, whether it had been a return or simply not a perfect piece. If the store had refused to take the return, I would have been prepared to hire an attorney, because it would have felt like fraud to sell me an item Linda claimed had a blemish and then blame me for it. After being a loyal customer for more than 30 years, it is incredibly disappointing that one interaction with a a terrible sales associate like Linda could leave such a negative impression. Linda's approach lacked professionalism and respect, and it nearly ruined the trust and enjoyment I have always associated with Louis Vuitton. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that no other loyal customer is made to feel the way I did today. read more

I'm very disappointed and disgusted in the repair shop on the upper level. I'm actually pissed. 2 employees gaslighted me and told me my lv purse didn't stink when it obviously does. It reeks and smells like poop and mold I kid you not! There is a known defect that some of the older styles have a known glue defect which makes it smell. I'm a loyal lv customer and I shop there often. I'm not trying to scam them to get a new purse and I have plenty of money but I bought an expensive purse and it should last for years. I like the people on the sales floor but these people should be fired!! They talked down to me and have very little customer service skills. They acted like it was their money. This is the best Louis Vuitton in Socal. Period! First of all, Louis Vuitton is one of my favorite designers and ten year old me would be screaming if she knew I could afford LV as an adult. But I will drive over an hour to this location just to get better service and look at the pieces I want. Not to mention this location tends to have more inventory than other stores. There is a queue system but the wait time isn't too bad either. I waited in line for about five minutes and was disappointed when the lady told me I had to go to the location upstairs. I went to the location on the second floor. I liked that there were two lines - one for walk-ins and another for appointments and online order pick-up. I still had to wait another ten to fifteen minutes, but when I was called to come in, the friendly gentleman (I believe he said his name was Rafael) showed me my purchase. I submitted my Louis Vuitton sunglasses for repair on December 2, 2024, through the Costa Mesa store, and worked with the atelier team, including April Houang and the store manager. After six months of no proactive communication, I was told they couldn't repair the sunglasses due to unavailable parts and that the style was discontinued. I was given two options let them keep the sunglasses indefinitely in case parts ever became available, or pick them up unrepaired. I chose to pick them up, since there was no clear timeline or guarantee. I also requested written confirmation of the situation by text and have received no response. What's most frustrating is the lack of accountability and poor customer service throughout this process. No apology, no compensation, and no real effort to make things right especially disappointing from a luxury brand like Louis Vuitton. We were initially considering simply purchasing online, but her in-person assistance was invaluable. We went there in early March 2022 to look at some of their products and shop. We needed time to think about our choice and decided that we will come back. We forgot an expensive water bottle there, we called next day and they said they have it and to come pick it up anytime. The sales people are very friendly. It was 10am and we waited to 1015am. But they were saying that they open at 11am. If thats the case they should update their profile. This is not the customer's problem. Security of the mall finally came and gave us the phone. And we left quietly but we were very unpleased and irritated with this terrible treatment and very poor customer service! We decided to try to reach the manager but the phone number takes you to the corporate office customer service who are not able to connect the call but can take a message. We asked in the message for the manager to call us. We received a text hours after from a (Jozik) that we can come to the store to return the item we purchased?! ....Wow just wow I replied to the text that I requested AND would like to a phone call. In 2019 my three sisters and I went there and were not helped by anyone, which did not really bother us, until we asked a man about the price of a purse and he proceeded to tell us that it was "not affordable for you." We immediately left and were very hurt. Fast forward to 2021, my sister, I and my mom went back, with good hopes that the service here would match the other LV stores, and well, nothing had changed. My mom asked about a purse and an employee there told her to, "speak proper english." This behaviour is disgusting and not tolerable. This was only the beginning though, my sister then complained to DK Kim there, who proceeded to tell her to "stop acting like that" and that "she was acting disgusting." This was extremely hurtful considering everyone was staring at her, being reprimanded like a child. This place is absolutely horrible. The management is poor and leaves you wondering what their values are. There is no space for this in 2021, and specially not in California. The emotional trauma this has caused for my mom, and younger sisters is borderline traumatizing. Lost my Trust - Mindfully Selling Damaged Bags On the weekend of 02/03/23, my wife decided to purchase the Neverfull bag. My wife was happy and forgot to inspect the bag. A couple of days later, we took it home, opened the box, inspected the bag, and she noticed the bag was damaged; it had a loose thread on the stitching. So, she decided to return the bag the following weekend of 02/10/23. My wife mentioned to the associate that she would like to return the Neverfull bag due to it being damaged. We received our refund. My wife and I left the store. We returned less than an hour later because my wife was interested in another Louis Vuitton bag. My wife spoke to a different associate and asked the associate if their store carried a different kind of bag. The associate said they currently do not. So, my wife goes back to the Neverfull bag and asks the associate if she can see one. My wife inspects it and then asks the associate if she can see a new one. The associate said "That's new. All of the bags they sell are new." My wife told the associate that "...this is the same bag I just returned because there is a loose thread on the stitching in the same spot." Right there, Louis Vuitton lost my wife and I's trust. My wife is very perceptive. So, this was most likely the same bag she just returned. A damaged bag should be trashed or repaired; not returned back for sale on the floor with their "new" inventory less than an hour later. I'll give Louis Vuitton the benefit of the doubt. Even if for some reason that this isn't the same bag, this repeated defect on their bags proves that the quality is poor and their QA/QC is poor. read more

BEWARE of sending out your bag to the Louis Vuitton -Ontario location for repair. They steal your locks and pretend like you never sent them even if you have the parcel weight that clearly accounts for the lock included in the bag. (I polished it and then put it inside my speedy 30 and then zipped up the bag to send out). I reached out to the associate I was working with and she said that it was never accounted for in the initial check up process and told me I could purchase a new lock for 50 dollars. Uh what?!
