We soon had water and placed our orders. We both ordered the special of the day: any hamburger and a side for $10. We both got Patty melts - - I had fries and hubby had onion rings. I asked for my burger to be medium well which it was and hubby wanted, medium rare but it was a little more done than that. There weren't many onion rings, but they were very tasty. The fries were good as well. We took home almost a full burger. It's a nice little diner and you get what you expect you would at an establishment like this.

It is spacious with typical booth and table settings, It is a quiet spot and it seems to us that the owners do the waiting service as well as the food preparation. We both ordered sandwiches, I ordered Roasr beef with peppers, onions and provolone cheese and wife ordered a burger along with Old Bay homemade chips. Putting out place settings outside at tables, and turning on lights......welcomed us right in!! Service is perfect, the water glass never got past half empty (needed after 9 hole in heat advisory and 90F plus weather) It was nice fresh water! We got some pita and hummus for a little app. Pretty good, the hummus was a little thin for dipping and spreading more like a dressing consistency, but tasted great! The pita was fresh baked and properly done. Wife got a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. She said it was very good and the greens and cheese were fresh and flavorful. The chicken was a little charred/burnt edged but not dry. 8/10 I got the Beet Salad and thought this would be my last try for falafel on a salad. (the last three other restaurants it has been a greasy fried ball of "bread crumb sand". yech! Well not here at L'Olive - just the opposite!!!!!! A nice filling that was moist and not bready, just beans and herbs and a nice filling. A LIGHTY fried and NOT very oily at all! 10/10 Falafel is back on my vegan/WFPB/Nutritarian food list. September 27, 2025 - 2 for lunch takeout…read more Never been here and somebody volunteered to pick up and PAY!!!! Doing 10 hours of guard duty so was looking forward to the lunch. When I ordered seemed a "little" expensive ($9.75 to start and then $2.45 for Tofu +++ for quinoa and other healthy topping?) , but I must say as a unethical selfish vegan (not about the animal and its all about MY health) or more aptly a Nutritarian eater, there were plenty of components and ingredients for a healthy meal. I would have gone for black, or garbanzo beans or even peas??? for sure but no vegetable proteins on the chart?? Ordering is a bit of a pain. My co-worker who is a regular there says most folks order a signature wrap and he said some comments about my a la carte order? So for that I might suggest a Signature Whole Food Plant Based (WFPB) Wrap or Salad and the 5% of us who are vegan, vegetarian, WFPB, Nutritarian etc could just click a button?
